Use the Accounting Lab, an EXCELLENT resource. STUDY for the tests. Summer class moves quickly through material--DO ALL of the homework, DON'T miss class, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION in class & you'll do well. He is a fair teacher, I learned a lot!

Had Bean for 2010 as well. He explains things clearly, is more than fair, will work w/you to help you get a good grade & understand the material--is funny too. A WONDERFUL teacher, would totally recommend for 2010 & 2020.

He is really good to work with student's needs. Always accepts late work. Does almost all the assigned homework in class. Final was open book. A+

Hilarious teacher. If you want to pass an easy accounting class take him :). Very understanding. Always has funny stories to tell. He's really nice on tests and homework. He wants everyone to pass. But you might not learn much. Still a great teacher

Ben is a good guy... way nice and helpful when your in a bind. However, he is all over the place and sometimes tuff to follow. I felt I learned more in 2010, but I got B+ both times without putting out the greatest effort.

Saint Bean as i like to call him. GREAT teacher for any accounting class you can get with him. u have to go to class and study for tests, but it is not difficult to get an A. far easier than some other accounting teachers. if i can get an A in his class then any of you should be able too.

He is kind of a space case when he lectures and makes lots of mistakes. He is very nice and willing to help you to get a good grade in his class. You won't learn as much in his class as you might in others, but you won't have to try as hard either. He gave lots of help on tests to help make sure everyone can do well, even without trying hard.

Really easy to talk into pushing homework back and grades very nicely, lots of group quizes if desired to work in a group.

Love the Beanster!! It is almost impossible not to get an A with Bean. All you have to do is complain a little and he will drop a quiz or extend homework due date. He gives a lot of handouts that really help with the material. Practice tests are given the week before tests, the tests look exactly the like the practice tests.

He is a great teacher, easily persuaded to help out your grades. If you show up and do the work, you will learn from his classes.

He was a great teacher he coud be a bit harder and more focused, but overall I learned a lot about accounting the class took a lot of homework time. If you understand the homework you'll get and A on the test, A on assignments, and A in the class.

Bean was one of my favorite teachers ever, he is fun to be around and I would recommend him to anyone.

Super easy class. You will learn, and if you show up and do your best he will work with you to get you an A. I totally enjoyed this course and felt like he was the perfect teacher for it. One of my favorites at UVSC.

Bean is a real nice guy. Lectures got a little boring. Does alot of the homework in class.Group Quizzes weekly. I enjoyed the class, he will work with you to help you get a good grade.

Prof. Bean was very fair on all of his tests and goes to great legnths to help students. It is a little hard but I got an A in the class. Would reccomend him to everyone!

ACC 2020 A01 Professor Bean has a good knowledge of accounting. His class was informative and well tought but a little dry. I had taken the class before but has to retake becasue my credits wouldn't transfer. Compared to my other accounting teacher he was better, he gives lots of bonuses and freebies

What can I say...very funny guy! If I had to retake this class I would still take it from him. He is easy and has a great funny side to him.

I had the 7 am class. 1st 7am class that I have seen full most of the time. He just made it confortable to learn. I find him an excellent teacher who cares about his students' success in his class. He gives you a long leash, make sure you do the homework and the reading, or that will show up in your test scores. He is very fair and understanding.

really a great teacher. sometimes he gave us the answer to quickly. wants to help in anyway possible. i am taking 2020 from him in the spring. DO THE HOMEWORK!! READ THE TEXT!! If you do that I personally can promise you an A.

He's way helpful and is usually willing to help you when you are making an effort. Test are a little difficult, but he drops your lowest and sometimes raises the classes test scores if the average is too low.

Talk about a cat on catnip. I love this guy... has a unique sense of humor. I went to class because he takes role; however, I learned accounting from the book because he isn't always clear. He does EVERYTHING possible to make you succeed in his class and loves what he does. If you get a poor grade, it's your own fault!

Easy A. Tests were very easy and he would give you a whole week to take them. Homework was easy. You could get away with anything in that class. As he refers to himself, he is an "old soft couch" He's a softie and will believe everyones pathetic story. Maybe he didn't believe it, but he let a lot of people slide. Learning is up to you.

The nicest guy out there! He makes accounting simple and will do anything to help you learn the material. If you show up to class every time you'll get an A. Tests are easy if you do the homework.

I love this guy. He is so funny! He is an industry professional and has a TON of insight and experience. This class was a blast and I learned a lot. Best teacher of my entire semester. Highly recommended.

Professor Bean is goofy guy. He is a pushover and makes it pretty easy to get a good grade. He is helpful if students have any kind of problem. In class he mostly just goes over homework. He doesn't really lecture on the subject.

Great teacher. He makes accounting as interesting as it can be. Also helps you to learn the material in class. He knows the material really well. He wants you to succeed so ask for help if you need it. He brings his personality to class which is really fun. Great guy, great teacher!!

Probably the nicest teacher I have ever had! He wants everyone to do well and will do whatever he can to help you. Make sure you understand and can do the homework! He gives out study guides which are helpful but the test scores in my class were low just because people don't actually do their homework and just used the study guide/quiz to study.

Bean is a great teacher, he loves what he is teaching. He is an easy teacher so if you don't like accounting take him. If you are an accounting student I wouldn't recommend him cuz you aren't really pushed.

Bean is a great teacher, really helps the student understand Accounting. Has group quizzes in class and gives you help on the test. One of the best teachers in the Accounting Department!

Prof. Bean is a good teacher and is very helpful if you show interest in the class. Tests are different from hw and quizzes. Gives extra credit than can be a difference in your final grade. Take him.

Ben is a very good teacher, if you pay attention in class and keep up with the 'WileyPlus' homework, (it is an online homework program), then you should do well on his tests. (Note: although the book is useful for his class, it is not really needed - but the WileyPlus cd/code is)

Pro. Ben Bean is AWESOME! Listen to concepts taught in class and carefully do HW, then get A in class. He makes me laugh everyday. Bean helped me for hours in his office on his day off. Now I really understand and remember concepts taught. ACC is supposed to be hard. I AM DEFINITELY TAKING HIS ACC 2020 CLASS.

I love this guy. He's my favourite professor by far at UVU. Great teaching style and he's very understanding of student's busy schedule. If it weren't for him I would have never gotten anywhere in 2010. Highly recommended.

Don't care what others say, he is a scholar and a gentlemen. Teachers like him are hard to find. His willingness to ensure that no student gets left behind is unmatched! I honor his kind spirit and prefer it to the bitterness of others. You haven't seen a committed professor until you've taken a class from Bean!

This is the best instructor ever. He teaches and means a lot! Examples, sticks to the book, very helpful with homework and goes over all material for test. I loved this teacher! Had him for 2 other classes. Wish he taught more. Very helpful, with homework gives lots of examples.

Prof. Bean is the man. I hate accounting, but he taught me it's not impossible to do well in his class. Willing to answer hm questions. Gives lots of examples. Tests are only hard if you don't do the homework. Do the practice tests-almost exactly the same questions just diff. #'s Take this class from Prof Bean. You'll be very glad.

Prof Bean knows how to teach. He is willing to help any student succeed if you put forth the effort. Attend class as he does tons of examples to prepare you for the test. Don't wait til night before test to do the HW if you want to do well. Highly recommend Professor Bean.

Bean was a great teacher, he is always willing to work with students on their grade, if you go in and talk to him, he will do everything he can to give you the grade you want. he is one of the most kind genuine people on this planet and understands if something comes up and will accommodate you in any way possible! take accounting from BEAN!

He is very easy. But the thing is, if you're an Accounting major, he does make it so you will learn what you need to, it's just you needing initiative. He is hilarious and will make you laugh all the time.

LOVED Professor Bean and his course. After taking this class I'm changing my major to accounting because I enjoy it so much. Professor Bean is awesome and helpful. He focuses on students understanding the material more then the grade. He is willing to help his students to get good grades, but only because he knows from class if they show it.

Professor Bean is so funny. You won't attend a single class without laughing at least once. He can be disorganized at times, and sometimes depends on teaching by doing rather than explaining. But he'll give you all the resources you need to get a good grade.

Professor Bean really cares about his students succeeding. He is a little disorganized, and cannot hear when the whole class is talking at the same time. He is constantly changing the dues dates for the tests and assignments. Everything is done on WileyPlus. Our tests were part online and part in class. He teaches by doing instead of lecturing.

I took Mr. Bean for 2010 and also 2020. All assignments are done online. This is a blessing and a curse. He is willing to help you in any way possible and gives you many second chances if you ask. He is also very nice and easy to approach. Make sure to get in a good group for the big project.

Great Professor! One of the best at UVU, very helpful and wants you to succeed. Take him, there are far worse professors. Trust me.

He makes funny while he is teaching. He teaches through subject and fix problems, when students had any technical of difficulty. He let students study and prep class for exams. Any students would their semester or class. He loves students to have succeed in class.

He doesn't teach or give any lectures at all. All of the assignments are on Wiley. You have to go through your textbook and take notes to understand the material. Wasn't very hard, just highlighted things. Some of the questions have walk-thrus which are nice. HE WILL WORK WITH YOU. I struggled with some of the assignments and he extended them.

This class is taught by you, everything is on Wiley. You read your book, take notes and do the assignments on Wiley. Professor B doesn't teach anything. If you don't learn that way, steer clear of this class. There was a lot of homework, but it wasn't hard for me, just time consuming. WILL WORK WITH YOU. I had an emergency and he extended stuff.

Bean was a great teacher go to class, do wiley plus home work and you will do great. He was always willing to help you any way he could.
