Ben Carr is awesome -- very funny and definately knows how to keep the interest of students while teaching!

Teaches his class to braoden students horizons on the world of markteting, doesnt do anything for the simple purpose of amu****t but only to get his points across. Is not as easy as he suggests.

Carr is a POWER SOURCE. He's one of the great BLACK presences on campus, actually he's the only BLACK presence on campus. He actually makes his class fun, but his final is ridculous.

He's easy and hard. He also makes what he teaches fun and exciting.

I love this man! He is absolutely hillarious and filled with great energy and excitement! He teaches you things through telling his many stories. He's fun BUT WATCH OUT FOR THE FINAL!

You'll regret not having this professor. He makes learning fun. To the people that think his final was hard they either (a) took poor quality notes during class, or (b) didn't bother to study. Don't purchase the text book, you'll never use it.

He's an amazing teacher. The class is pass/fail so that doesn't hurt. He is histarical, yet he provides numerous amount of knowledge. This class is the best! Take it if your at all interested in Marketing, or if you just want to laugh.

best teacher ive ever had. everyone who said that the class was just story time-thats how he teaches. youll have to read into the stories he tells and figure out how they relate to marketing. he doesnt use a book and doesnt care about attendance. as long as u do everything ull get at least a B. The final is tough but its pass/fail and i passed.

Ok Ben is the man, he does tell alot of stories and if you pay attention to them and go to class the final is not that hard. Granted it is a tough final, it is not that hard. Just pay attention to his "4 philosophical functions". Granted he may not have an attendene policy but that doesnt mean you dont have to go to class.

Ben Carr is the man. You cant go wrong w/ Sweet Benny as a teacher, as long as u have a sense of humor & the ability to take notes, ur pretty much set. He does tell stories in his lectures, but its all to help the u learn better, I did. Everything in this class is pass/fail, even the final, which is pretty hard, but thats the only thing thats hard.

Great teacher- some people do not like him but that's because he actually forces you to think for yourself--- finally a teacher who doesn't give you a step by step outline for everything we do. It may seem difficult, but once you realize how much you are learning, it is worth it

funny guy, makes learning an experience in his class. if you think his "stories" are irrelevant and don't pay attention to them, you'll miss the meaning behind them and get screwed over in the final, so pay attention!

GREAT advisor. had to change my advisors twice before finally getting him as my advisor. he cleared up every question i had, and he even went through the trouble of making a list of the classes i need and the credits i need. great guy

sweet bennay is my favorite professor at Roger Williams so far. he is a great guy, and very funny. some people complain that the stories that he tells have nothing to do with class; however, if you pay attention to them, you realize that he uses them as examples to help explain and illustrate what he is teaching you. i highly recommend his classes.

Funniest guy ever. I am a marketing major now because he made it so exciting freshmen year. Easy going guy, final really hard!

Probably the funniest teacher I've ever had. As long as you take the time to look over ure notes for like 2 minutes, ure set for the class. In all truth, I learned more about marketing than I thought possible from an intro class. Extremely easy grader on the the assignments as long as you follow the directions.

Mr. Carr is by far the best teacher at Roger Williams.Makes class worth going too.For those who say hes not good lets just say those are the 'tools' on this campus that have no lives. Funny stories that relate to class and his grandson does a wonderful job on the powerpoints. Take him for as many Marketing class as you can.

lovee sweet bennayy! always comes to class in a good mood, and genuinely wants students to do well. - look over the notes 5 minutes before class to pass the quizzes (pass fail class)just drawing a picture of him is a passed quiz..will actually influence ur experience as a student, and made me WANT to come to a 3 hour night class every week.TAKE HIM

The best class I have taken at RWU, the guy is genuinely interested in the topics and tries to make sure you are as well. Don't take him if you don't to interact because he picks on everybody all in fun. I came away with more from this class then my entire semester. the final isn't impossible you just have to care about what your doing and study

He is awesome!!!! Class is pretty easy until the final which is very difficult. Take good notes cause anything can be on the final. Great guy though, you will want to go to class- its like watching a standup comedian the whole time.

If you have the chance to take Ben Carr and don't take him, you seriously need to reevaluate your life. He teaches a slide-based lecture class, but makes it so fun. Seriously, an hour and twenty minute class feel so much shorter than that(most days). Study your notes, and if you don't do that, put effort into your assignments and you'll be fine.

One of the best professors at RWU. Funny and loud. His lectures might not make sense but at the end of the semester everything connects and the class is actually very relevant and helpful. Easy B, makes your work for an A

Extremely nice and funny, take if you have the chance. be prepared for easy but random quizzes and easy homework assignments. Goes off topic a lot but makes class enjoyable. Take clear and organized notes, final is extremely difficult and crucial. Offers an optional (weird topic) 20 page paper to boost grade.

Good guy. Lectures are funny, but make sure to take good notes because he doesn't post the powerpoint on bridges. The final is tough as nails (even though he says its easy!), so make sure you study in advance. If you don't do the quizzes, then you're just a chump because they're easy. STUDY for the final!! I didn't and I played myself. #BlessUp

He's very knowledgeable about his subject matter. There are a lot of take-home quizzes and case studies, but he makes the class very enjoyable.

If you have the chance to take Ben Carr, you absolutely should. Craziest professor Ive ever had but he makes going to class enjoyable. His final is honestly not as hard as its hyped up to be, but is worded tricky which can get you. I didnt study all semester until the night before the final and I still passed, just find an online study guide

If you have the chance, take ben carr! He's the funniest teacher in Gabelli. you only need to pass all the quizzes (most are take home) and the final exam (which is not as hard as people think) to get an A in the course! Lectures are so wild, they stick with you! If you just review notes in class, you'll do just fine.

This professor is an amazing guy. Tons of energy and very easy to want to go to class. Gives lots of quizzes but most of them are very easy. Overall great would take again.

He compares everything we learn to a real world situation and it helped me understand the content. He is hilarious if you joke with him he will joke right back.

This man loves marketing and makes this class super easy to attend. You will not regret taking him. Do all his work and final paper and you pass. The final was extremely hard but if you do the work it doesn't even matter.

Sweet Ben AAAAAA. I love this man. Absolutely hilarious and he loves marketing. He's been with the university since 1969 for a reason. I am not a marketing major and I genuinely enjoyed his class. He loves messing with students and joking around. Everyone should take him for the experience of it. The pop quizzes may not be on course material.

I always enjoyed going to this class. He can bring anyones day from bad or Ok to great by his amazing lectures and interesting, fun stories that always related to the class. Although I was disappointed that we had to continue class online, my mood still never changed for the class. His priority is his students and what they learn.

Carrrrr! Best dude ever!! He lays out everything you need to do to get an A. Every class he gives out at least 1 quiz pass, and his quizzes aren't really even quizzes. In fact, last week our quiz was to draw and describe him loll. He calls himself "Mr. Easy" and it's accurate loll. "optional" 10 page paper that you get all sem and his help to do!

So funny, his lectures are so enjoyable and not at all what you'd think of of a college class. 1-2 weekly take-home "quizzes" that are pass/fail. There's 4 take-home case studies that are also pass/fail, and a 3,000 word paper about marketing in space that you have all semester to do. Very fair, pretty easy, and so funny.

Amazing professor and an amazing person. He will go off-topic with funny stories for half the class yet still taught very well.

A very good professor truly cares for his students, he is not very tech savvy so there will never be a syllabus or instructions anywhere in bridges which is why I recommend going ti every class because he explains there.

Wonderful professor, however you really have to work for the grade you want. While attendance isn't mandatory, Carr knows when you show up and when you don't. YOU WANT TO SHOW UP! If you show your dedication to the course you will be rewarded. Do the quizzes, do the cases, give it your all because there is no such thing as too much. DO THE PAPER!

Ben Carr is by far the funniest professor I have had here so far, and class is always fun and entertaining. He has a lot of knowledge and stories to share that have a deeper meaning. You will learn a lot more than just marketing in his class
