One of the best professors I have ever had

This class was a very realistic look into church ministry. Prof. G didn't hold back and just give us the fluff.

I really enjoyed taking his class. He made Greek very easy to learn and understand, the class is still hard, but any greek class will be hard. But G made it as easy as it is going to get I think.

Dr. Gutierrez is the greatest prof on campus. He can get challenging, but he's always trying to help you understand the material. His classes were the most enjoyable and enriching classes I've ever been in.

Gutierrez is the best professor that I had this semester. He is so practical. He is the greatest discipler of Christians that I have ever seen in my life. His classes are highly structured according to his syllabus. Just show up, do your work on time, and enjoy his insightful lectures that will TRANSFORM your perspectives on the Scriptures.

VERY knowledgeable and passionate about the Word of God! He is an awesome teacher and he'll help you with things outside of the classroom too! He is a great man of God! Well, on to the goods- he has an attendance police so show up! He gives you all you need for the tests! His lectures are wonderful! He is a really wonderful professor- TAKE HIM!!!

Guterierrez is one of the best professors I've ever had, and his heart is most definitely in the right place. Though I already felt like I knew a lot about the Bible and church ministies, he brought to us new truths that just rocked my face off. He really helped me to see things in a new way, and he provides practical help for everyday problems.

Dr. Gutierrez is the best professor I've ever had. He cares about his students and takes teaching seriously. The classes are not hard as long as you show up and pay attention. He will tell you what to study before a test, which helps. If you want to take greek with him sign up on the first day or two because the class fills up fast.

I had Dr. Gutierrez for Greek and Church Ministries this semester and I absolutley loved both classes. He has a real passion for students and strives to make everything understandable. In CHMN he would rather you get the material than regurgitate academic information.

I had Gutierrez for Evan. He was amazing. I wasn't really looking forward to Evan, but my perception of it changed after a week of classes. He has such a passion for God and it shows so much. His class taught me so much. I wish I could have him again for a teacher. Plus, he's pretty cute!

Dr Gutierrez is your friend. He's absolutely amazing - the only reason he was hard was because I was taking GREEK from him, which is in and of itself tough. I'm taking some classes next year simply because he teaches them. No, I'm not joking.

Great instructor! Hard to pay attention sometimes when he's so cute.

I LOVE THIS CLASS! As long as you do your work in this class, you shouldn't have a problem. He's so good at teaching that even if you don't take notes, you could probably scrape by with a "C" in his class. All in all, I recommend this class to anyone (not just Religion Majors).

Dr. Gutierrez is our friend. This is what he always says, and it's true. He's a really good teacher, funny, and makes the material comprehensive. He makes sure that it is really broken down and as easy as it can be. If you have to take Greek, I recommend him!

Ok, it's been a while since I had dr G for a class, but I took several with him and they were ALL GREAT! I learned a lot from this man.

He was the best teacher I have had yet at Liberty! If you can, take him for ANYTHING. He is a truly godly man, and it is evident in the way he teaches, as well as the way he carries himself. A great example of someone who should be in church ministry.

I have a rating on here somewhere for Greek 201, too. The man is amazing. I wish I could take him for every class. I genuinly looked forward to this class. Also, Johnnie Moore teaches for the last part of this class, and he's fantastic, too.

His class was very easy and almost common sense stuff if you have been churches most of your life. Great professor, cares about you and is very helpful. Take him if you can!

I took this class as a distance learning class and so his lectures were just power points with his voice in the background. I'd watch/listen to them at work and when people would come in, they'd comment on how well he was presenting the material, and, lol, how soothing his voice was. This guy is pretty cool.

Most people probably don't care about the class, but it was a great class if you're motivated about your faith. Prof Gutierrez is one of the most caring professors i've ever had and he really cares about your spiritual life. He makes the class really easy structure wise, i highly encourage you to attend every lecture, you'll grow spiritually.

This professor is an effective communicator and is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is able to get his points across and inspires many to get deeper into the word. He cares about his students and evangelism and is incredibly inspiring. His class is easy if you just do the review sheets and follow the directions!

EVAN 101 was my favorite class. Maybe because Dr. Gutierrez is so amazing. He has such a passion and he definatley expresses his emotions. This class is like a Bible Study and he tells you that. Amazing class- hands down. Very easy. I passed with a 99. This is a must take class!!!

It's a very easy class. You get review sheets that are straight from the tests; if you don't get an A then you should smack yourself because it's ridiculously easy. He seems to be extremely arrogant though... Hopefully he's not really like that but he definitely seems extremely arrogant. He is very knowledgeable though and a good teacher.

Seems like he's able to relate to students more than the older professors. Also has a superb understandings and ability to teach. On my top 5 professors I've ever taken.

Dr. Gutierrez is a wonderful professor and a truly respectable man. You can feel his passion for evangelism and witnessing in his lectures, and he gives heartfelt advice; you can tell he's not just teaching because he has to. Great man, and great professor.

I've taken him for Evan, Greek 201, 202 and Pled 450, and he has a lot to give.He is passionate, documented and clear in his teaching. I believe you will like his style a lot.

Only four assignments given all semseter! 2 one page papers and 2 exams(super easy)

Ben has a passion for evangelism. Tests have study guides that you fill out before and usually have all the questions for the test on it. Tests cannot get much easier than that. You do have to write three papers which are: testimony, witnessing report, & either leadership evangelistic evaluation or ministry evangelistic evaluation.

Great class! He is a great speaker and proffessor. The class is easy, and the once a week class almost always got out an hour early. Take it.

I really liked this class he made it interesting. We didn't need the textbook until the final. He gave a study guide to which was helpful if you study it you get an A

Dr. Gutierrez is phenomenally clear in his teaching, and he's hilarious - which really makes his teaching stick! Greek really comes alive when he teaches! If there's one word to describe him, it's INTEGRITY. You just want to be around him to soak it up for yourself and to learn. He loves the Lord and his family, and is an incredible man of God.

Ben has a passion for God and the Scriptures that will move you to seek the same. He investigates and studies the book of Phillipians not out of obligation to his field, but out of raw need for communication with God on the most intimate level fathomable. Almighty God, through this man, changed lives at my school.

I really enjoyed Prof. Gutierrez.He taught on the book of Philippians. His passion for the word of God and 'Living out the mind of Christ' was so overwhelming. I loved it! He was so clear on everything, it made it so easy (and enjoyable) to pay attention to. He also said a lot of awesome things about his wife and kids which was SO cool.

He assistant-taught my CHMN 201 class with Prof Geukgeuzian... His teaching literally changed my life and my feelings about ministry! Always powerful stuff and always taught really clearly! Loved when he taught the class.

The few classes he taught in this course were by far the best. He has such a vast knowledge of Scripture that he is wonderful at applying to everyday life.

Ben Gutierrez is the MAN, absolutely awesome professor. Was a marketing major till I took his Bible 110 class and he and God are the reason I am now a biblical studies major.

Ben Gutierrez made me want to get up at 8am to go listen o him talk about the New Testament. He was amazing. Would go off on tangents sometime, but he made me laugh and kept the class interesting. Would take another class of his in a heartbeat.

Dr. Gutierrez is amazing!! He is so passionate about what he teaches and he cares deeply about his students and the scriptures. He made learning about the Bible really interesting - I learned something new every class, and now I wish I was a Bible major so I could take more of his classes!

What an awesome class and most of that is due to the great teaching of Prof. Gutierrez. He was inspiring, encouraging and taught with clarity and insight. Great class and awesome professor!!

I took this class Spring 2014. Prof. Gutierrez is knowledgeable, organized, cool, and collected. He has a calm voice but emphasizes important points, making learning easier and studying easier. My two criticisms are that he should go more in depth and he only taught half of the lectures, his GSA's taught the rest.

Dr. Gutierrez is an amazing professor that does such a great job teaching his lectures. He's funny and inspirational and failing his class is virtually impossible because he speaks with such clarity. And if the technology ever stops working to the point where the end lecture quiz won't work, everyone gets a free 100 (It happens a lot)

Ben Gutierrez is an expert orator and a humble servant of Jesus Christ. He regularly takes time to apply the concepts and doctrine of the New Testament to everyday life in a way that is sure to bring new life to the Bible for the student.

This professor was so amazing. Because he taught me many new things in New Testament. He class was awesome to be in. He gives out study guides out for the mid term and for the final exam. He also give out two things of extra credit. He is so wonderful professor. He is a great professor because he makes good power points to take notes. I amsohappy

Amazing professor and has a heart of gold. His walk with the Lord is truly admirable and he is always willing to meet with students outside of class to answer questions or simply give life advice. As of now, he only teaches Honors EVAN, but if you're an honors student, I would strongly encourage you to take his class.

Dr. Gutierrez is an incredibly kind man; he practices what he preaches. He takes the time to read your papers thoroughly and write very personal feedback. This is an incredibly easy A. He throws dried-up markers at the trash across the room and gives you extra credit whenever the marker lands in the bin. As a result, I have like a 117 in the class.

Dr. Gutierrez is an incredible and very thoughtful speaker. He is wise, and his lectures are always engaging and super interesting. He genuinely cares about his students, and my class (an Honors EVAN section with 20 people) has gotten to know him really well. I signed up for Honors BIBLE 110 just so I could have him again next semester.

Dr. Gutierrez has been, by far, the best professor that I have taken at Liberty. He truly cares for all of his students, and his knowledge is simply incredible. This man loves the Lord, and does an amazing job teaching how to live for him, and how the Bible says we are called to live. Truly blessed to have been taught by Dr. Gutierrez.

This professor is the hidden gem of LU. He has a passion for his students, a generosity that is unmatched, and an incredible talent for Evangelism and teaching. I wish that there had been a larger emphasis on evangelism than on principles of belief, but it's hard to get everything in one semester. 110% you should take this residential. 100%!!
