Another professor told me this is his first year at Pierce. He really encourages students to come to office hours, he seems really interested in what he's teaching. im not but when you have a good teacher everything is more interesting. he doesn't touch the textbook in class, but he teaches out of it. very nice. managable HW. i recommend him.
PROFESSOR SMITH ISN'T A GOOD PROFESSOR UNLESS U WANT TO TEACH HIM OR CORRECT HIM EVERYRTIME HE MAKES A MISTAKE. THEN TAKE HIM. I REALLY DONT RECOMMEND HIM AT ALL! HE TRIES TO HELP THOSE WHO ASK FOR HELP, BUT HAS A DIFFICULTY EXPLAINING IT.
He makes a lot of mistakes, but that's usually cuz he's moving quickly from one thing to another. He helps with any q's we have & spends time helpin us w/ the hw. Go to class since he teaches 1 section of the book at a time. If you miss it u'll do poorly on the tests. He gives a few days for hw, and his tests are short, but u'll definitely learn.
Worst math teacher that I ever took in my whole life. Hard to understand, makes A LOT of mistakes. He cannot teach but knows a lot about math. BOTTOM LINE: DON'T TAKE HIM.
THIS PROFESSOR DOES NOT KNOW THE MEANING OF TEACHING!HE MAKES SO MANY MISTAKES.HE HAS A VERY HARD TIME EXPLAINING THE MATERIAL. HE IS SO UNORGANZIED IN EVERY WAY THAT LEARNING IS NOT POSSIABLE IN HIS CLASS.IF YOU WANT TO TEACH YOURSELF THEN TAKE HIM.
Mr. Smith, Math is easy . It is not necessary to give a lots homeworks that the students don't have time to enjoy life. It is ridiculous !! Life is too short to spend so many hours doing the same type of problems with different number. Give me a break!!!. The most important is to know your concepts and how to apply them. Not just saying oh !!! This
Math is easy . It is not necessary to give a lots homeworks that the students don't have time to enjoy life. Give me a break. The most important is to know the concepts and how to apply them. Nothing is difficult is you know how to explain.Intelligent people make difficult problems easy and create easy way to solve problems. Think about it !!!
He always says,This is hard, this is difficult,it's weird. He makes students believe Math is a extremelely difficult sub. He uses his notes to lecture. His short lectures are not clear and makes so many mistakes confusing students.Work group in class.
This guys is horrible! He tries to teach the problem, but ends up confusing the class even more as well as himself. The class had to correct his mistakes half the time. After attempting to teach a problem he always follows up with a "so, uhm yeah..." or "so, the answer is 7xmumblemumblemumble." Take this class only as a last resort! >:O
OMG RUN AWAY FROM HIS CLASS!!!!HE NEEDS TO PAY ATENTION TO WHAT HIS STUDENTS ARE TELLING HIM. HE IS NOT ORGANIZED HE SKIPS ALMOST EVERY STEP,HE HAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE BOOK AND EVEN WORST YOU HAVE TO BUY AN EXPENSIVE CODE TO DO HW. HE IS NICE BUT IF YOU WANNA LEARN RUN!! RUN AWAY TO ANOTHER MATH CLASS WHERE YOU WILL LEARN. THIS TEACHER IS JUST SAD.
Great professor. Always willing to help you if you have questions. 1 Final, 2 Midterms, and weekly quizzes(lowest quiz is dropped). Homework is worth about 10% of your grade so do it! He covers about a section per day. Quiz/midterm questions are similar to homework questions, so as long as you keep up with the material you should be fine.
mr smith is not bad like people make him look. i hate math but i liked his class and the way he teaches. he is helpful u just need to ask for it. he's fair. he's not too demanding but just follow his rules. attendance is mandatory. plus he is hot. i would definately reccomend his class
Loved this professor. He can be such a dork at times, but in a very endearing way. It's Calc 3 so it's no cake walk, but as long as you keep up with the work, you should do relatively well. Grades as follows: Weekly Quizzes: 100 pt. HW: 100 pt. Participation: 100pt. 2 Midterms: 200 pt each. Final: 300 pt.
I was quite taken aback when I saw all these negative comments. Smith is not as bad everybody claims he is. He teaches clearly and his exams are straightforward. The amount of effort put in this class reflects on your grade. Those people that had him over the summer and are complaining about work load:it's a 5 week math course, what did you expect?
Overall a nice guy who wants his students to succeed in Math by giving the maximum effort. Knows his math, but sometimes moves too fast and skips steps which in turn confuses the students and often himself. If you are a student who needs the extra help and attention then you might want to seek out other options. Can't stress enough how nice he is.
Covered about 1 section per day but the material wasn't too difficult. Very fair. In my opinion, he taught clearly. Straightforward, non-tricky exam/quiz questions. Actually curved the second midterm so that the average was a B because people did poorly on it. Overall good professor. Recommended! =D
Ben Smith is my Idol. Throughout the whole class it seems as though you are not learning a single thing because the way he presents the info seems way too simple, later in the class, as you get challenged, you just magically understand the information because of the way he presented it to you earlier in the year. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Unorganized! Short (and nearly worthless) lectures. He has trouble teaching or answering questions.
His class is pretty easy for the most part. He moves quickly so it is important to attend classes. He grades on a curve and if on a test or quiz you get the right answer but then cross it out thinking it was wrong, he still gives you credit for it. And a plus....He is easy on the eyes. =)
Overall made the material look easy, although explanations kinda get a little confusing sometimes.i like his group time. he looks like elijah wood and my friend Arlisa would squeal and say he should break up with his gf when he looks at her which made the class all the more entertaining.
His lectures are kind of confusing sometimes because he goes so quickly. Other than that, really nice guy. Likes to put the class into groups and assigns online math hw. He is willing to help and answer questions. I would take his class again :)
Great guy bad professor. Clueless most of the time and unsure of subject. Homework is doable and tests are fairly easy to ace with some studying
I would recommend this class. I got D's and Fails on my tests and quizzes, but I magically ended up with a C. He's cute and I have the biggest crush on him.
hes kind of cute in a dorky way,but a really nice guy. He added everyone in class even though there weren't enough chairs.
Really nice guy. He is very experimental in his teaching methods. Sometimes he is unclear, but He is always willing to help if you ask. A bit unpredictable sometimes so keep up with homework and classwork, he might change things around on you.Im horrible at math and i had little understanding of the math in this class but i managed to pass with a B
Great Professor! I took him for Math 115 & Math 125. He is very helpful and explains things very clear. You need to come to his class in order to get a good grade. He docks and adds points based on your participation and attendance. You will always have homework but its all online so its easy. Pop quizzes alot so be ready! As long as you stay on to
He is great:) a lot of homework you have to solve more than 15 questions for homework . tests are okay. if you do your homework, everything is fine. it was easy class for me :) finally I got an A.
the worse teacher I've had. I'm pretty good at math but I can't undetstand anything in his class.exams are so hard. they are about something that he doesn't cover at class. he gives the homework back after the exam so you'll repeat same mistake that u had in ur homework!!! he is not helpful at all!! i hope he reads this comment and change his way!
Whenever he's not in mood he simply cancels the officehour:))
just avoid him!
don't take his calss. the lecture is not helpful. exams are hard, attendece is not mandatory but everyday you have to turn your homework so u need to be in the class. explanation is not clear if u take this class u need to spend to much time in the learning center!!!
I took math 3 math classes with him, but math 125 was the worst!!! He doesn't care if you're dying from tedious homeworks. You have quizzes every monday, and on wednesdays he'd give you 2 paper homeworks PLUS an another 2 online homeworks!!! and each homeworks are LONG!!!!!
Cares a lot about his students shown through office hours. That's not true that he cancels whenever - he was sick. Homework policy is bad, and I hope he dismisses it because it's really unfair. His exams are fair, and he grades with a lot of partial credit. focuses on the conceptual basis of Calc. he is new to teaching so he has kinks to work out.
Chill guy. Gives descent amount of work, enough so that you understand. He really wants to improve wherever he can, and it shows when you talk to him 1 v 1. You can tell he cares about his students, and is considerate. Great professor imo.
Took the ASPA program horrible! Doesn't have enough time to go through everything or help each student. Rushes through the problems thinking we understand.
He is very intelligent person, loyal in grading, tests were kind of easy if you study for them, allows to have a flash card with anything written on it for the tests, and gives a lot of extra credit problems. I failed two tests, because could'n take that amount of information in a short semester, and got a B.
Very organized instructor. Be prepared to do all the H.W because tests and quizzes are based on it. He is genuinely interested in helping his students learn. Also, he is extremely patient and helpful.
dont not take smith for APT program.. unorganized, not helpful, tests are hard.. majority of class is failing.. rushes through everything..his lectures are not clear.. if he gives any lectures...cool guy, just not a good teacher...
Completely disorganized. Mentally scattered. Lacking in social skills. Looks puzzled at all times. Trig textbook is OK. Precalc is crap. Has you do homework in class; no lecture. Sounds good? It's not. People work at different levels. If you're fast, you don't gain anything. If you're slow, you don't get any help. Rely on your classmates; not him.
just do the H.W. tests and quizzes are from the H.W but the final has the hardest questions u have ever seen and just few of them are from the H.W. The class is not useful at all. u need just to memorize every single Q
Prof Smith doesn't just teach you how something is done, he also explains thouroughly how and why a particular mathematical concept makes sense. He gives the class cheezy math-related jokes from time to time. We had some few issues with the book we used but the professor resolved the issue.
this is an average class. Its boring and the teacher is boring. I hate math ,however, the idea of math drowns the blandness of the style of lecture.
He's a great professor. His quizzes are helpful to higher your class grade and they're easy. midterms are harder but doable. just do the homework and take notes. you get an A for sure, and he's helpful, nice and respectful if you go to his office hours.
He is the reason I fell in love with Stats! Clear, concise, challenging fair-grader, work hard u will succeed. All slackers are haters!
Mr. Smith is a helpful teacher who loves what he does. However, he is not very good at teaching! His tests and quizes are right from the HW which he does not collect. The final is DIFFICULT and not from the HW. My brain exploded. He gives out partial credit for anything you know on the tests, so is a fair grader! Easy B class!
I took Smith for the APT, and my grades were the best I have ever received in a math class. Hes super nice, helpful, & was very clear in his lectures, but if youre lacking in your algebra skills APT may be challenging and too fast paced. Hw is never collected, but all the test questions are from the hw. My advice for his class is to DO THE HOMEWORK
he is confused in the class. his exsams is not standard and he choose them from hard problems, he is unexperienced for teaching. I don't recommend him.
hated the class. But he's cute!
APT interested students be aware.Do not ignore the negative ratings about Ben Smith, most of them are true. Don't take his class, Ben Smith is one of those teachers that gives tricky, the hardest, NOT STANDARD -made up questions by himself that only makes sense to him -tests. He lectures with his hand in his pocket which shows how careless he is.
He is a very cool guy, very intelligent and knows his stuff. The thing about him is that he gives alot of stuff to work on. Considering this an APT class, we pretty much had to fly by each section very fast and he gives a good amount of hw for you to study and get better. He is also very approachable and willing to help you even in his office hours
Worst teacher. he is very young, so most would think he's compassionate but doesn't care if you do bad. Terrible at explaining and doesn't know a lot himself. Does not know how to teach. avoid him at all costs.
Professor Smith is a very helpful, caring and approachable. The key to doing well in the class is to ask as many relevant questions as possible, and to learn from your mistakes! Do the HW!! Study the concepts in the textbook! He’s not a babysitter, he’s there to help, but you have to take the initiative and put in the time first.
Outstanding Professor. He has office hours and tutors at CAS. Difficult subject, yet doable, for anyone, if you complete the hw, ask questions, and study ahead for the test. Ben has a fresh approach to teaching math and makes himself available to all who seek help. Slackers beware...this course, like any other, requires that you do hw!
This professor does not answer questions. He does not know how to teach or explain things. He does not know how to communicate to students. Also he gives very hard tests. If your 1 minute late minus points.
Attendance is mandatory; it's pre-calculus so that was a given. Lots of hw so you have practice before the tests, which he calls "midterms." Bundles about 2 chapters together. Really funny & will always let you know your grade so you know where you stand in the class. I failed cuz I had a newborn son & had to miss class/ wouldn't complete any hw
This is his first year teaching which is understandable but he is too apprehensive and not approachable
He is teaching fresh from schooling which is understandable however, ignoring students questions or speaking down on them in class is wrong. Theres been several times we've seen him do this. He is also scattered. The key to success since his lectures don't go with the book is strength in your groups, help one another since he cam barely help you
Oh god I wish I could have another professor for statway. He won't answer your questions because "the way to learn is to figure it out completely on your own." What? It's Statistics! 6 tests, mandatory workbook ($150+), and you're stuck with the same professor for the second semester of Statway. All work is in groups and he grades tough.
Regardless of the negative feedback here, I took trigonometry in the winter as a five week class with Mr. Smith. I am usually awful at math, but he was very clear and helpful and I managed to get a B regardless of the intensity of the 5 week class. His tests include exactly what he lectures and he is always willing to stay after to help .
Can't say he's a bad professor, but he grades really bad. Some teacher want their students to get a good grade and pass, but unfortunately he does not. Also he is very young and maybe he needs some experience. Overall, he is and okay professor and I would not take him again or recommend him to anyone.
Very fast lectures, gives a few examples from textbook and a lot of time for class work. Class work has different problems than lectures, and homework as well. Tests are difficult. He needs to slow down and teach instead of give 45 min for class work. Good guy but needs more practice.
I felt robbed out of time and tuition. Including such an expensive textbook that he never used to lecture nor provide any feedback...
Not only was this the worst math class I have ever taken, Ben Smith was probably the least helpful teacher I have ever encountered. 95% of our 3 hour class was spent in groups, trying to figure out what the heck we are doing. He did maybe 1 or 2 problems on the board and spent the rest of the class sitting up front, doing nothing. Stay away!!
Professor Smith was unhelpful, uninterested, and one of the worst teachers I've ever had. Because of his absences, the class had to suffer the consequences without any compromise. Most teachers want their students to succeed and take some knowledge from the class, but for us it was mostly about a time crunch than quality. AVOID!
Professor Smith is a nice guy with good intentions but lacks of knowledge and experience to teach such complicated subject. He hardly gives any instructional time. It's mostly group work and if you are not good at math you will fall behind and fail. He seems to be annoyed at students asking questions and grades very tough.
Despite the negativity surrounding his teaching style, Prof. Smith's lack of lectures is beneficial to understanding the material. Yes, no lectures, BUT he is always willing to help you out. He's super nice and interested when it comes to questions, so ask! And on tests and homework he's more than fair. Also, I suggest using his office hours.
Took trig for summer(4week) class. It was tough! Professor smith was very helpful he took the beginning of class to answer any questions we had. His lectures consisted of going straight to doing problems. HW consisted of at least 100+ problems from the book each week. His test were nothing like all the homework he assigned. no study guide provided
Worst teacher ever. Only reads from the book and his test are not like the homework. Don't take him
Prior knowledge of math/statistics will definitely help you. He is a young, new professor and father. We missed class a few times due to his newborn. He made mistakes at times, students tended to correct him. He isn't always the most helpful. Study, do online homework, attend tutoring, work in class w/groups. Ask questions and attend class.
Exams are easy to fair, gives a lot of partial credit, not a great lecturer, he's nice but doesnt seem to like answering questions, HW is pretty light, overall a smooth class if you can put together the minutia on your own. For exams, focus on the basic concepts and easy problems. He rarely asked anything hard and puts true/false questions.
If you are antisocial & struggle w/ math, "DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!" He is not very clear & can be very confusing. He does some examples on the board, & a lot of class work. He also does not have a lot of patience. When I asked for help I can see his frustration of me not understanding. I put my heart & soul & it was still not enough to pass.
Nice teacher, doesn't lecture very well and go over test material very well. He knows the material but forgets that the students take the class to learn the material.
He does very little lecturing but goes through everything with you. There's a big emphasis on group work though but I definitely recommend this class.
He is the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. I have no trouble with math, but this class was a nightmare. He knows his stuff well but is not a good lecturer. His tests are completely different from the homework. He also seems like he gets annoyed when you ask him a question in class. Just awful.
Very disorganized and terrible at lecturing. Choose another profesor to save yourself time.
He's one of the best math professors at Pierce. He guides you through the material and is always available to help. I highly recommend him.
one of the worst professors in pierce college dont take him for any class, you won't learn anything he couldn't the book homeworks by himself in class, he needed to prepare the answer before the class. exams all that matters
Good professor. He tends to be quite disorganized and stumbles a lot, but his lectures are very informative. he is very knowledgeable on the subject and has answered every question asked of him very well. Homework can be long sometimes, but it prepares you well for the midterms that are a huge portion of the grade. Truly a fair and fun professor.
Lectures are very generic and boring. Simply goes over the book and answers basic questions. Tests are much more harder than the classwork and homework done. Grading was as simple if you had did it right or not, lots of homework and he encourages teamwork a lot within the class.
The material taught is the former professors. He is learning the information a couple of weeks before teaching it. A majority of the class does not understand at all what is happening in class and I have learned nothing in the past 2 months. We have to learn R script for the class and us "learning" R in class is copying his code onto our computers.
His lectures are on you tube (yes he has his own channel, get those extra clicks). Not very specific in explaining the course material, he jumps right into it and expects you to know it. Only uses the examples that are in the textbook. Oh and makes you take notes on the videos that you have to turn in as h.w. as well. Would never take again
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CLASS!!! I struggle with math already and he doesn't explain anything thoroughly. seems like he is afraid of students and has a panic attack when you ask him for help. NO STUDY GUIDES PROVIDED . TESTS ARE HARD AND NOTHING LIKE WHAT WE DO FOR HOMEWORK. IF YOU LOVE UR SANITY DON'T TAKE HIM. DEPRESSING TO WALK TO HIS CLASS. 1/2
I think some of the reviews here were a bit rough. He was not a bad instructor at all. You have to study the material otherwise you can easily get lost. I fell in love with Linear Algebra and Prof. Smith had a lot to do with it. He provides plenty of outside material on the subject (3blue1brown) and his lectures were stored on Dropbox.
Very difficult tests, his lectures are not very clear, he is willing to answer questions, he loves word problems and throwing curve balls, his hw is ridiculously hard. He does offer office hours, 1 hour per day. If you want to pass his class, expect to have to master all of the hard hw, problems, and I mean master them. Math 263 (calc 3)
To start, he's not super confident in the lectures. This results in poor class control. Worksheets need to be printed before class, but they often aren't posted till the day before. He heavily encourages group work, but this often devolves into the students just chatting in class during this time. Confidence during lecture needs improving!!!
Second class with Pro. Smith. I personally really like him. The hw problems can be hard at times but that's just math... His notes are all digital which is helpful. Always provided help with questions or concepts when I asked. Super smart guy and I wish one day that I could be 50% as good as he is at math. The exams are hard but he curves. Take
Hes not the worst. You have to pay attention in order to pass. I felt like he got nervous when students asked him questions. He related math to real life which helped me a lot. He is always there during his office hours and I recommend going because he graded me easier. 6 tests, no quizzes, study guides help! Lots of online homework
Professor Smith was the most complex and exhausting professor I've ever had. The whole semester was self-learning and a heavy workload with HW and JNB's. His tests were challenging as well. Out of the five days a week during lectures, he hardly went over any lecturing and assigned us to group work. If you want to pass hope, you can teach yourself.
I took Linear Algebra with him on Spring2021 obviously this class isn't easy. Beware of HW, a lot of time thery are contrast from lecture. Test heavy loading with true-false questions. Make sure you understand the meaning behind math. He is very nice and caring his student. I came to office hour every week to ask question sometimes 2 hours.
He's a fairly solid teacher choice. There's a lot of work to go through, but he's pretty lenient in how he grades and will sometimes round exams up. You will have to look into the material more to actually get what the work is asking, but he will help digesting the information more clear. Definitely a good pick for a math class.
Took for him for stats and it was 8 in-person week course so homework was given everyday. He makes sure you understand the material but you will need to read outside of the class in order to get it. Will round up the final and drop the lowest grades but awesome professor over all.
Despite previous ratings, Prof. Smith was a genuinely good teacher who taught a relatively difficult class (linear algebra) very well. There were many opportunities to succeed in the class with extra credit and recovery projects. He was accesible very often outside of class for help whenever the students needed. Overall 10/10.
Professor Ben Smith is a great teacher. He uses R coding to teach statistics and has given us a lot of material to help us understand the class. All around the flow of the class is great and the notebooks and teachings are simple to get. Good professor and good class.
ben smith is always very kind, patient, and helpful, and truly cares about his profession and his students! it was a fun semester! I always enjoy having as him a professor and I appreciate how approachable he is.
I really enjoyed his class his an excellent teacher, respectful, I would recommend him to my friend
He is an excellent teacher He give extra homework and he cares about his student
Nice teacher , caring, respectful
He cares about his student
Professor Smith is very caring, patient, and dedicated to helping you learn. He makes his class fun and very friendly. He is very smart and knows his stuff. He is always available to his students. I strongly recommend taking any of his classes. You won't regret it! Thank you Professor for making statistics a little easier for me and fun.
I hate math, honestly. But this class was really fun, I enjoyed the group projects and met new friends. Professor smith gave plenty of resources and material for us to study outside of lecture. To put it simply, if you're willing to put in some work to study, ask questions during class and do the homework, then you should be fine.
He such nice person I will probably take his class again ,caring
Prof. Smith is more than willing to help through office hours, makes study guides for every exam & even provides students with an outline of his own notes that you work through together throughout the semester (!). I now have an invaluable resource for linear with respect to my notes & Prof. Smith. Don't be afraid to be confused, linear is tough!
Really great teacher for stats, really made sure that you were doing well in the class and did everything he could to help you.
Professor Benjamin always makes himself available to students as much as he can. His exams are hard, but he lets the students use a cheat sheet that he will provide with the necessary theorems you might need. The lectures are okay. He replaces your lowest grade with the final grade. He does provide extra credit when he can. Great professor!
i hated anything that has to do with numbers. i was working hard towards a C grade. Prof. Ben is such an amazing soul. he gives lots of homework which helps you study and get the point. he helped with some extra credit(don't play with extra credits). i will take him again and again
Professor Smith is a wonderful, respectful teacher, who will never tire of explaining. He is highly accessible through various platforms and has a very forgiving grading system. Highly recommended!
Great professor if you put in the work and occasionally show up to office hours.
Took him for statistics with no prior experience. At first, I was intimidated by the R coding system he uses, but it was actually very helpful and easy to understand. He allowed cheat sheets and notes during tests, and the homework was always manageable. Just wants his students to succeed. Would definitely take him again.
Although this class has its challenges, this professor is super patient and willing to go the extra mile to help out his students. Although its not required to be in class, it helps a TREMENDOUS amount as he goes over the material and answers questions as much as he can. As long as you pay attention and do the homework, you'll pass.
Although this class has its challenges, the professor will go the extra mile. He's patient, willing to take time out of his day to help others understand, and provides resources to access the material. Even though you aren't required to be in person, it helps TREMENDOUSLY as he goes in-depth with the material. Pay attention and you will get it.
I feel like Professor Smith should be teaching at an ivy league rather than a community college. Not only does he explain math well, but he went the extra mile for his students and gave us each a spiral-bound book of printed lecture notes, which made taking notes so much easier.
Very motivating and supportive Always available to help you solve any statistical problems.
Class is pretty easy and straightforward if you just show up and pay attention in class. When I took him everything was open book and open note, including the final. He is also very attentive to any emails or messages you may send him regarding questions about the class or the material. Overall, solid professor would definitely recommend.
Really good class I enjoyed it alot, you'll learn a lot here that you won't in other classes. It is a little heavy on hw but not terrible. He cares alot about his students succeeding and is very helpful during office hours. The lectures and notes are very digestible. By showing up to class and doing the homework you will do very well in the class.
he is so nice
Professor Smith cares about students and wants them to succeed. Straightforward and easy-to-follow teaching style. Very accessible outside of class with office hours and emails. A kind and understanding person. If you are a math major and/or want to go in-depth with math, take Smith for linear algebra.
Not a good professor. Participated in a class that was taught by peers who knew as much as me, NOTHING. Take someone else's class. He asked us to leave him a review before grades came out. Lol
Not the easiest class and definitely not a free A. However he is very caring and drops your lowest midterm even if he might not mention it at first. Make sure to do his HW early because he gives you 15% extra credit and don't miss class because it will count towards grade. Overall good prof.
Prof. Smith is super helpful and makes the challenging material manageable. Engaging lectures, flexible policies, and resources like Unstuck AI make this class worthwhile.
Great professor and that's coming from someone who struggles in most math subjects he really breaks things down to the point where you can understand it. You can easily tell he's there to help you, you just have to show up and do the work. Also he does have a sense of humor so it was never a boring class.
Such a great professor. If you have any questions on any topic he'll explain it so simply so you'll understand it. If you just pay attention during his class you'll get an A. Would definitely take his class again. Go to office hours if you need help!!!
Pretty hard class honestly, I can learn anything it just depends on who's teaching it and I this was not a good fit. He's a hard grader, his explanations are just gibberish and the work itself is not that bad, he definitely does not help with the quizzes and 3 different mid terms which have 2 parts each. It's a lot to learn and overall just hard.
He's a really nice teacher and I feel like he really tries to explain the subject in simple terms. There are 3 midterms that are two-parters and online homework assignments for each of the sections, but he gives you a good amount of time to finish them. He also has office hours every week if you have questions or want to make up missed classwork.
I hate statistics but he made the class so enjoyable his exams and quizzes are exactly like his lectures and homework so if ur not doing well ur definitely not putting in the work because its so easy to get a good grade if you just study the papers he gives out and the homework well! He also gives snacks and answers questions patiently GREAT PROF!
