This is a teacher where you pretend to complain about going to class, but actually look forward to it. He is a very funny teacher, with helpful analogies, and quite intresting stories. Stay on top of the busy work, and you'll pretty much get a good grade.

Professor Vallejo is an awesome biology teacher! If you have to take bio, take him! He is a very fair grader, his lectures are interesting and his analogies are great!

he is such an AWESOME teacher, i loved going to class. don't worry about the lab final, it's worth approx 5% of your grade.

Vallejo is such a great teacher, i hated bio but loved going to his class. Lots of extra credit options, which was nice. he will always fix any grading mistakes by his TA's. He's a really nice guy and a fantastic teacher, hes funny and he gets people excited about bio. Definately take him.

A WOW of a professor. He really brought the subject to life, and made biology a joy. In a subject that you either love oor hate, Vallejo makes it a love, and I would retake his class again, given the opportunity! Thanks V!

Mr. Vallejo wanted you to get a good grade. There was a small quiz once a week, a weekly lab, and a few tests, which had the quiz's questions. Also, a good amount of extra credit. He has a great personality, usually let out early, and was very approachable. Only problem: he had a Catholic bias and taught against evolution. All in all, great guy.

one of the best, down-to-earth, teachers around. great time management of the class, and great connection with the students as well

this teacher is SOOO funny and the class can be very easy, if you think you're not doing too well stay after class and do the homework he'll be happy to help and give you answers if you ask what you think it is, so it'll give you 100% on the homeworl due next week...

Mr. V is great. He really cares about the students and loves what he does. He is very approachable and has a great attitude. He wants you to succeed, but you have to work a little. Quizes and usually from the book. Is willing to help you and lectures are completely understandable. I would highly recommend him and would take him again any day!!

he's such a nice teacher and is willing 2 give u help anytime u need it. make sure u read practice ques. in bio book at end of each chap. for tests study quizes! do extra credit gives u 10% helps sooooo much at the end of grade. do all the wrk, labs easy, kinda a lot of wrk in the class but still overall good class.

Its a difficult class.......at times....make sure you keep up. Although it is a difficult class, he really is an amazing teacher and makes the class fun and makes you want to learn. if you have an opportunity to take a class from him....do so......its very rewarding...

mr. v is awesome, very helpful, all the tests are what was on the quiz's. he makes the lectures fun, and he really cares how you do in the class. i took him for summer school and i actually didnt mind going everyday, lots of work, but if you stay on task youll do fine. got an A. Incredible teacher & person. The class was NOT easy. There is a quiz nearly every day, & they can be hard. He doesn't stick to a single textbook, yet allows any Bio book & suggests 2 particular books & an online book. I found this a little difficult in that some of the quiz/test questns were covered in 1 book, but not another. Grt exp overall.

HARD class, but awesome teacher! I still have all of my tests and quizes and its alot so be prepared to study! It helps to know someone who took the class before so you can study the quizes and tests;they change very little! One tip: READ THE BOOK! It is misleading that he says a book is not needed - you will fail if you simply rely on his lectures

i LOVE him. He is such an incredibly nice man. I took this class over summer and i actually looked FORWARD to class.i am NOT a science person but i got a B in this class and i'm in High School. if you study you will get an A.**SUCH A NICE GUY!

Vallejo Rocks, he is the best Bio professor. biology in it's self is a very hard subject to study, but Mr V makes fun and interesting. his quizs are okay but u have to study for them, the final is a liitle easier to study for since you use past quizs to study from. he's a very reasonable grader, gives extra credit. take him, he's the best.

Great guy, great personality, but this class really sucks to take in the summer time!!! There is more work than u can do. Text bk not nec, but lab manual is. I wont retain this info cuz it was so fast, but I have enjoyed getting to know this guy who is one step below Mother Teresa...really!!! Great guy!!!

For being only 15 classes long it was good class...So much homework though! He was a great teacher, i bet if it wasn't a summer course i could remember everything he taught! His tests were easy, midterms were questions from the quizzes....Final wasn't bad either...The lab final is what would get you! But a great class....

MR. V WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL INSTRUCTOR, I WOULD TAKE HIM AGAIN ANY TIME OF DAY. LOVES WHAT HE TEACHES, LOVES TO MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND, AND IS A VERY CARING PERSON- HE REALLY CARES ABOUT HIS STUDENTS. HE ALSO HAS 7 KIDS! :) WOW. JOKES AROUND A LOT, AND MAKES THE CLASS AS FUN AS POSSIBLE.

Mr. V is the easiest bio teacher at mc! I never even took the lab final and still passed with an A . Just study every quiz you take because he asks the same exact questions on the tests! Labs are quick and easy. Easy extra credit too!

Uses three different books, You can survive with the online book. Gives quizes every week. Use the quizes to study for the exams. He gives extra credit. Good teacher, would take again.

God bless this man and his love for his children... and he treats you like his own as well. He helped ease the pain of summer school biology. That is 6 hrs a day folks including lab, what an eventless summer.

He is the nicest guy ever and always willing to talk to you. He makes himself very approachable and somehow learns everyone's names! There is A LOT of material and the quizzes are very hard but even if you fail them as long as you study them for the test you'll get an A. I didn't read from the textbook once and had a 98% in the class :)

I love Mr Vallejo. He has a wonderful sense of humor and class was enjoyable everyday. I used my text everyday and as long as you study you will get an A. A couple pointers; let your herbarium project dry for at least 3 weeks and study EVERYTHING from his lectures. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TEACHER.

I loved this prof! He's funny and really laid back. If you want to work hard and learn about Bio you WILL get an A. All his quizzes and tests are multiple choice but they are a little difficult at times. TAKE THIS TEACHER! :)

Great professor. Very laid back and funny to listen to. Summer class was difficult. Take good notes and study quizzes and exams. Never used text book and got a B. I let my lab partner copy most of my work cause he was stuggling and he got more points them me. Not sure sure why or how he grades. I thought it was a little unfair. Overall I recommend!

Good professor. Very laid back and makes the lectures fun to listen to. Didn't need the book that much, plus he didn't care which biology book you had, just that you had one. I recommend him for sure!

Very easy instructor. Do the work, do the extra credit (and there is lots of extra credit) and you'll have no problem. Tests are easy. Questions are from quizzes.

He is the best teacher. im very lazy and i got an A. quizzes are super easy. test are even easier. hes really laid back and actually funny (not like most professors who crack a joke and think their dan cook). if u kiss his ass he loves u and if u dont he'll still like u and be fair to u. and the cool thing is u actually learn in his class. take him

If you go into the course knowing the tests are ALL written from the quizzes, you will do well! 85% is an A, 75% is a B, etc. 10% EC opportunity. I'm good at bio and had to do 3% of it to keep an A. Lots of work. Pay attention in class, NEVER miss a class. 1 lab hw a week, 1 quiz a week, 3 projects. wonderful guy, lectures and lab get out EARLY! =]

great teacher! had so much fun in his class. he makes the subject understandable. there is a lot of work to do so be prepared but if you just stay on top of it and use your text book and do the extra credit you can definitely get an A.

Lot's of work! Make sure you get study partner and take lots of notes. The pre/post lab part is confusing..lots to turn in weekly. Overall, Teacher is mellow and to the point, gives you heads up on what is expected throughout semester.

Mr. V ROCKS!! He is THE BEST Biology teacher at Moorpark. He is NOT EASY, but if you attend class, take good notes and study you will do well. The Lab practical will kick your butt so STUDY for it! One of the best teachers I have had. He loves what he does and it shows. He is always willing to help. Tests are from lectures. Labs are fun and interesting. Over all tests can be hard but he gives extra credit to make up for it. Lots of work but not hard.

Super fun class! Study ahead of time and review your quizzes!!! Also, in class he tells you what part of the notes will be on the test. (so highlight them)Final is a repeat of all the tests, and lab questions can be easily googled. Lab final kinda hard so pay attention to the labs. However, it is only 2% of your grade, so you can pretty much fail.

He is the best! There is no reason anyone should not get an A in this class. He is helpful and sets you up to SUCCEED. Put in a little effort and its an easy A.

this is the coolest teacher, the info is allot to retain but if you need biom01 you would be silly not to take him, he is so straight forward and cool. very helpful. wants you to get an A and will help you get one! you can get books free ask him in class your first day.

Professor Vallejo is one the best biology teachers! He knows his subject very well and makes learning it very fun! I would make sure to attend class most of the time! since he does tend to give some extra credit. By far the best teacher at Moorpark. He needs to teach higher level bio so people working toward this field stay interested, other teachers are boring. With this guy teaching you are guaranteed to love biology. Yes it is allot of info. He makes it so easy to retain it's almost a joke. Every student has a fair chance at an A and the labs are easy.

My follow biology folks, make no mistake on choose professor. This class is not an easy A but very easy to pass. Instructor makes the hard subject easier, all you need to do is remember the term and definition. If you still not comfortable with that, then do the extra credits. You now shall have an chance for A grade at this point.

Coolest dude ever. Yes it is Bio so you will have to study. That being said he will give u all of your study material on quiz-let. Use the site to study. it makes a huge difference. Take him. He is awesome!

Why does he only teach intro Bio. This guy has got it all. He is the man, Let's take off, lol. He always says that to start class, first time I wondered where we were headed. Quizlet and labs are about it, final project is leaves. Start drying them early, makes things easy, know what the are when you dry them. I will miss him and we all loved him.

He is a bit hard to get a hold of via email, but other than that, this class was easy. He provides a LOT of extra credit so if you do it there shouldn't be a reason you don't pass. Rarely used the book, but study the online quizzes and you will pass.

One of my favorite teachers, i took him for Into to Bio at Moorpark and I defiantly deserved an F, I only passed the labs and he gave me a B. I participated in class the whole time, never missed a lab and he saw how hard i tried. Such a nice guy, really funny, even offers you a letter of recommendation!

Amazing professor. Mr. Vallejo has a clear way of teaching and makes the material super easy to understand. He is really sweet and approachable. I have never been good at bio and got a high A in his class. Provides power points, quizlet sets, everything. TAKE HIM!! 8 week summer session was great

He was a good professor. Start the leaf project early! He puts everything on quizlet, so make sure to study off of that! It is an easy class!

He is super cool and funny. His teaching methods are great and he uses a lot of funny stories to relate to lectures so students can get a better understanding and it works. He sets up very useful study guides and he really wants his students to pass. He offers a recommendation letter at the end. Just show up and you'll pass. Easy class.

Just take him. Honestly, trust me. Mr. Vallejo's class is such a joy. Never have I felt the need to skip the class or complain about wanting to leave. Mr. Vallejo is very caring, optimistic, and easy going. His lectures are very enjoyable with many jokes! His labs are not difficult, if you ever have a question, he'll be happy to answer. RECOMMEND.

ahhh where do i start with prof vallejo he is amazing. he is funny. he is caring. he puts his students first always. his class had a lot of busy work but it was all easy and helpful to the subject we were on. if i could take him again i would you wont regret!!

Vallejo is a GREAT professor. Of course, this is a bio class so there is obviously work. There are 3 exams, the last one being the final. First one was super easy, last two you had to study a little harder. If you do the work and you study you will pass. He is hilarious and he truly cares about your grade. Don't take his class for granted!

Loved this professor, not a show up to pass class, but he made it so easy to get an A. You have the entire semester to do extracredits adding 10% to your grade plus many given out throughout the semester. Just show up regularly, study the Quizlet sets, skim the lecture notes, and do the extracredit and you will get an A. Ask him if your not sure.

GREAT PROFESSOR!!!!!!There are 3 exams first 2 I should've studied harder for. The last one we just took was the same as the first two. All you need to do is study hard. Hes a funny & caring professor. There are quizlet guides that he provides, take advantage of those and you will pass. Would take again and if I ever did I would study even harder.

Vallejo is an awesome professor! Biology isnt necessarily an easy course to take, but hell ensure your experience is filled with lots of enjoyable humor. Online quizes can be studied on quizlet prior to taking them. His exams are a little tough, however study his quizlets and do the zoo extra credit project and you can easily get an A or B!

Professor Vallejo is a great guy I had him for biology Mo1, and his class is very easy. You take all of your quizzes at home online, and you have three in class exams through out the year. He gives you study guides for these exams which are very helpful. He gives you enough extra credit to raise your grade a full letter. Best teacher I've ever had

Funny lectures, grades on a curve, semi-easy quizzes. Test are a bit more hard but all questions are taken from the quizzes. A few main projects but nothing too difficult. Lab is easy and usually finished within an hour if you work with your table. He's real easy going and gives you lots of extra credit opportunities.

Professor Vallejo is one of the few GOOD ONES at Moorpark College. He cares, he wants u to learn and gives u extra credit. He gives you study guides and applies it to the quizzes & test. Good professor!

literally such an easy class, 10/10 recommend, actually made me want to learn more about bio, workload is semi heavy but it's not hard at all. quizlets are provided for you made by mr.vallejo to study for exams!

Such an amazing Professor! His lectures are always engaging, Yes there is a lot of assignments and readings but they are all fairly straightforward to complete. He tries to teach what we need to know and doesn't teach anything unrelated. He's a friendly teacher always making sure to smile and say hi to all students.He makes science fun to learn!

pretty funny and chill, I enjoyed his lectures. yes there is a lot of busy work but most assignments really aren't too difficult and he's a super easy grader. use the quizlets he posts to study for the exam, although some questions weren't in the quizlet or quizzes that you're expected to know on the exams :/ fun guy tho

I really liked the class and the lab. Professor is really chill and laid back. I got a low grade because it was my first college class dual enrolled and I wasn't turning everything in on time. Labs are super fun. You do have to study for the tests/exams. Overall I recommend
