Theres a lot of clicker questions so attend the lectures to get easy points. You get more out of attending his lectures than reading the online textbook

Interesting, entertaining, and I learned a lot. He's a nice guy who is passionate for biology, and was always willing to work with students. However, tests are difficult and there's a lot of material to learn so it's hard to pinpoint what exactly to study. I recommend using the textbook for topics you aren't sure about. Do all the extra credit.

He's nice and always put effort into helping students. However, he was sometimes condescending and treated students as though they were children. It is a flipped class, so we had to listen to 30-40 minutes lecture videos each week, but that's how the class was set up for all professors. Gave a lot of group work in class but graded very little of it

Dr. Wodika had a "flipped" classroom type lecture, meaning he never lectured with powerpoints, students had to watch and take notes before lecture and meetings were only for asking questions and going over quizzes, so it was hard to understand a lot of the material. He was a funny guy and really cared about his students a lot too.

Between the constant group work pages, lecture quizzes every week, pre-lab and post lab tests, the lab itself, tests, and the exams, it was way too much. His lectures are not all that helpful and he has a flipped classroom, which requires the students to learn new material by themselves with a video and quiz on it before any lecture on said topic.

Terrible. For lecture and groupwork, he makes you purchase a lab guide to use for assignments and take notes on. But he puts a huge watermark across the "note" pages that you have to write around. Prefer to take notes on your laptop? Cant do that, "unless you have accommodations" Because he makes it a "tech-free zone" Don't take this guy.

Would take again

Although I wasn't a fan of the flipped classroom set up, Dr. Wodika had amazing lectures and was very friendly towards his students, definitely was my favorite gen ed class. Attendance points aren't taken but I can see how easy it will be to get lost if you don't show up. Never thought I would say this, but biology is pretty interesting.

Find a different science credit, I've never been more bored in my entire life. The exams have absolutely nothing to do with the homework or the lectures, so it's a fun little guessing game. He goes on boring tangents. Don't take his class.
