she is NICE and helpful but materials are not easy in nature. to get good grades you have to get REALLY FAMILIAR. Make sure to attend her reviews and do the online quizes which is almost like the exam qns. 3 exams 1 paper. put in some effort, shouldnt be hard to get A.
TAKE HER!! One of the best if not the best professor at CSF. Very helpful and topics on the test are clearly defined. 3 short writing assignments and 3 tests, which are easy. Very helpful and is more than willing to help you whenever you need it. Will e-mail you the same day or the day after you need anything. Attendance does not affect your grade.
class is easy. but even up till finals week, you still won't know more than 30 percent of your grade because she is still correcting it. so you won't know what kind of letter grade you need on the final. the tests are easy to study for, just attend her review and you can get an easy B on the test. the assignments are easy, but put effort into it.
Two midterms and a final exam + 3 assigments. You really have to read the book to pass the test. The assigments are ok but test are complicated. A great teacher and make interested lectures. I totally recomend her.
She's a fantastic professor. Very interesting and down to earth. She creats a very friendly and ease enviroment to learn in. Looking forward to come to class every session. Exams are 100% similar to the reviews. She's fair on grading assignments. She gives 2 exams, 3 assignments, a group project, and a final. Put in about 90% effort and you'
One of those teachers that you enjoy learning from. Class is fun, interesting and full real world examples. Exams are exactly like review she gives.
Very nice teacher. Clear, willing to help, love to teach, lots of real world experience, and she made class intereting. she did returned assignment quickly, and I know what grade I am getting so far. Over all highly recommnded.
The material was easy to understand and based on common sense, but when it came to the tests, a lot of people did not do so well. She is a great teacher and very helpful though. Attendance not neccessary but must study in detail to do well on tests.
Don't really have to go to class, but she goes on the longest tangents about things. Just stay home and read the book and power point. She delays assignment due dates and exams because of these tangents, continuously behind on chapter. Class was frustrating, but pretty easy.
She was a good teacher. She knew what she was talking about and she tried to make you understand as well. She did go off on many different tangents but they all had something to do with the class. I would take her class again.
Good professor, takes attendance but forgets sometimes. She gives test reviews that are helpful for exams. Two papers that were pretty easy. I would highly recommend her taking her.
She is very nice and know her subject. also willing to help. Her lecture was interesting. exam could be little bit tricky, but if you listen her exam review she gives away many questions.
good class.. 2 tests, 1 midterm 1 final not cumlative 1 group project... reviews are very helpful.. easy class.. a must take
Lusk is a great teacher! I took her over the summer and she made the class interesting. Best part was that she had a study guide for us to study for the midterm. And the questions showed up identical to the one's she gave us. Take her! Easy A
very nice lady. not as easy as everyone says. 3 exams, which can be a little tricky. the final was a piece of cake. she provides a study guide with lots of material. 2 easy papers. a group project which is also easy. easy class to pass no doubt. easy b, not a.
Class is not very interesting. Goes over the areas that will be covered in her exams pretty well. Study what she suggests you to study and you will do fine.
Real life experience! the best teacher. She has shared a lot of information that I can use daily at work.Take her if you get an open seat!
she is a really funny person. The class was pretty easy. I guess I didnt go that much, so Im doing alright. BE THERE for exam reviews. She tells you everything you need to know. Only grades on 3 test, and participation. Easy A for those EVERYDAY students.
Professor is really cool and funny. My class had 250 students in it so not much time for questions. 3 exams and participation. make sure ur in class when she gives out the study guide. Study that and youll do fine. A lot to memorize tho. Kind of a hard class but easy to pass.
Professor Lusk is a very nice funny lady. Her class is kind of boring, but just make sure you go.. and make sure you sign in. Study power points and her study guide and you'll do fine. She also has extra credit. I didnt buy the book and got an A- so it is not that necessary.. power points are good enough.
She is very nice and funny. There were 3 exams (the first one was easy, but the last two were tricky), two quizzes and one group project. I attended all lectures and followed each exam study guide exactly and ended up with a B-. Never assigned the 2 short papers mentioned in the syllabus.
She's an all right teacher. She gives a detailed study guide, but leaves about five questions (a whole grade letter) on the tests off the guide, so even the study guide isn't all that helpful. In my opinion, her grading was too subjective. 20% is based on a group project and attendance. I attended every class and got an 8/10 on attendance.
I sent her numerous emails and she NEVER replied. She did not assign the 2 essays she told us in the beginning of semester, and she didn't tell us until it was near the end of the semester. I was hoping the essays could help me get a better grade. This teacher was unorganized, irresponsible, and she picked favorites. I do NOT like this teacher!
She wasted several classes just reading out what pages to study for on our tests. Her tests are filled with useless questions that don't have clear answers. Class looks easy until you get to her pointless exams. I thought the class was just waste of time. Good luck guys.
She is very easy. Everything on the study guide will be on the exam study and memorize it! Sh e makes the class fun and exciting. quizzes are very easy gives you a short review before the quizzes and answers questions before the exam. As long as you use her study guide you will pass. Id suggest everyone take her. Easy A.
She likes to share real life experiences that relate to the class materials. The subject is interesting and she makes it really easy to grasp. The class project was pretty easy, too. I enjoyed the class and would recommend others take her class.
She was a nice professor. Has a lot of real world exprience to teach from. Her test can be hard if you don't study but if you just know everything on the study guide you can easily pass this class with an A.
She's a nice and funny professor. Energetic most of the time. Very helpful and clear about assignments and exams. older version of the book was recommended by her. was very helpful for studying. She makes the class fun and her lectures are not boring!!. Cracks jokes in class and asks students to participate here n there. Overall, good prof n class
SHES IS VERY HELPFUL. SHE HAS AFEW HW ASSIGNMENTS & MAYBE A QUIZ 1 MIDTERM AND A FINAL. ALSO A CLASS PROJECT. BOOK IS GOOD FOR REFERENCE BUT SHE PUTS MOSTLY EVERYTHING IN POWERPOINT SLIDES ON WEBSITE. OOD PROFESSOR
I took Prof. Benedicta Lusk at Calstate LA. She was such a warm, cheerful and just overall nice person. Management is kinda boring to me but this class was easy because she tests on what she teaches in class. No tricky questions. Be sure to study though because there are so many concepts to learn.
LOVE HER! This subject was actually enjoyable and a breeze compared to all the other dry and boring business classes. The information she taught was extremely helpful. Just know the study guide and show up for attendance and you'll do fine. Awesome professor!
Prof Lusk makes this subject totally enjoyable to learn. Her exams are not EASY, but they can be if you care to try. She gives study guides for all the exams, so make sure you go through them thoroughly. Go to class as attendance is mandatory. I like her a lot. Highly recommended.
Great professor. She's funny and enjoyable. 3 exams and gives study guide. First 2 were easy but be sure to study harder for the final. It's alot harder. Everyone did bad on it so she gave extra credit at the end of the semester to make up for it. We were a huge class so we had 2 quizzes instead of group work.
ALL I CAN SAY IS TAKE HER!!!
Wonderful teacher !!!!!!
don't know what to expect on exams. Goes off topic a lot
She is a very nice and helpful professor. She uses many real world examples to clarify her points. She takes attendance every class and the exams gradually get harder because the amount of terminology used. 3 easy case study quizzes given throughout the semester. Follow the study guides and you should be fine.
She knows what she's taking about when it comes to management. She uses the test bank from the publisher, so you can buy that online to study. Not a bad class.
Easiest class ever. Takes attendance but you can literally work on anything else during lecture and still get A's on the exam. She gives study guides with page numbers in the book for the exams and the group paper and presentation is easy. There is also one essay which is also easy if you have done well on exams and studied the study guides. Take her if you want to get a good grade with little effort.
Great teacher, she is funny and interesting, however, the topic can be boring and dull. Make sure to complete the study guides and do the assignments and you'll be fine. And participate.
Material is very dry and half of the students don't pay attention. Two exams and a final, not comprehensive but 5-6 chapters each. A lot of people did poorly on the second exam so study and don't take the class lightly. Attendance is mandatory. Lusk takes forever posting assignment grades and group project. No curves and no extra credit.
Prof. Lusk is not in a good state to teach. She seems a bit disturbed this semester and had a hard time in explaining concepts. goes off topic a lot and the exams are totally different. she needs to improve her teaching style otherwise retire. All i could say avoid her class at all costs!!
Great Professor. Her exams are not difficult at all just work on the study guide that she gives and you will be fine. She will answer any question that you have prior to the exam. she does take roll so attendance is mandatory. 2 exams and 1 final. Also there is group presentation.
3 tests multiple choice. if you read the book as well you will do well on tests. you can still do well even if you skip classes. one assignment every week, and one longer assignment at the end. very chill course, i slacked off alot but still did okay. interesting topics
This class was like a marathon, was hard to keep up with the reading for the exams. The study guide helps though.
this class was tough. she was very nice and helpful but the exams were really hard. you definitely have to read the whole textbook and spend a lot of time studying
She was a nice professor but her exams did not always add up to what she was saying in class. Some things on exams were completely new material. Definitley need the book
She is a really nice professor and she often goes off topic but is hilarious. Literally have to cover 2-3 chapters in one class so its crazy. Need to study the book like crazy but if you do that then the exams are super easy. Some homework and a fun group project at the end. Gives study guides with page numbers. Recommend her.
I expected to get leadership skills and only got lectured by powerpoint. She is pretty so class isn't boring at least. Exams are tough. First exam the average grade was 60%. If you don't read the book, you won't pass because the exam questions are theory based.
I wasn't a fan of the class material since it is so boring, but she is a really nice lady and makes the class passable. Easy assignments, easy grader. The first test was a breeze so make sure you study for it and get an A. The 2nd exam and final were a lot harder. Easy B in this class.
The topics discussed in class did captivate my attention;however, the class was a complete drag. Sitting through a 2.5 hr class, located in auditorium, in seats best suited for oompa loompas, was not the easiest of tasks; for, I left as soon as the attendance sheet was handed to me. I wish it would have been in a different atmosphere.
Prof Lusk was very nice and funny. She knew how to convey the material. She brought real world examples through her lectures. There are 2 exams and a non-cumulative final. 1st exam was easy, the other two were hard. There is 1 assignment and a 15-min skit. Definitely read the book if you want to get a good grade. I got a C because I did not read.
2 mid term and 1 final, all multiple choice and true/false questions ( 25% each). 1 paper after reading an article1000 words (10%). participation ( 4%) take roll every class. Next Gen case study ( 10%) listen to her in one class before the quiz and get 10/10. Overall easy class if you read the book and attend class to memorize all the term.
Class is chill. Just focus on her lectures especially when she starts talking about NewGen. The midterms were difficult but she curves it if she knows that majority of the class did poorly on it. She tells funny stories about her life and you actually learn from her experience. Great teacher.
I agree with the 6th review below. I expected to get leadership skills but got lectured by PPT only. You literally do nothing in this class. All you do is just work on the project during each class that has nothing to do with the material from the book. Tests are extremely hard even though they are all M/C and T/F. Must read heavily to do well!!
Nice, very down to earth and gives real life examples. Good lecturer, didnt buy the book she gave a link for a free pdf version. 2 exams and final, 1 group performance, and a few other small things. Shes personable and relatable, very mom type personality. Exams can be alittle tricky, whole class didnt do too well on the second. Good profnthough.
Professor Lusk knows the material, her main problem is showing up to class on time, and being dis-organized. It seems like she is very busy, and her lectures suffer from lack of preparation. She never remembers where she left off at the end of the previous class. She takes way too long to grade tests and assignments.
Super sweet and caring teacher. Her classes do get kinda boring b/c most of the stuff we go over is pretty common sense. This class is exactly parallel to a Psych class, so it can be pretty interesting. 3 exams; 1st exam class avg was a 96%, last 2 are a lot harder. Study guides are very helpful. She allows u to buy old edition books to save money.
Lusk lectures on powerpoint slides from the book every class. It almost seems pointless lectures since they are just straight from the book and I feel that I could learn them on my own. Tests are not hard and you really don't need to show up for class since all lectures are posted online. Do not buy the book.
3 tests, 2 papers. About 30% of what she says really helps. Everything needed is from the textbook (which you can find a pdf of floating around). She gives study guides early. Download them and fill them in taking info from the book. First test is easy, second test is hard. Conceptual questions. Scenario based.
Lets start by say this professor is not good at teaching. Yeah all the exams are multiple choice but the material she gives out for the study guide is so much that its almost impossible to memorize everything. The test questions are very difficult with the exception of the first exam which is doable. Even to earn a C I busted my but off. Don't take
Be careful; this class seems easy but I aced the 1st test and almost failed the second after studying the same amount for both. Her study guides can be misleading and do not cover everything on the test. HIGHLY recommend getting the textbook, really helps boost your test scores. She really cares about you succeeding and will be there to help you.
I can honestly say I do not know how I feel the course. The course is kinda dry and uniteresting by the way she teaches it, I can definitely say that she was having a tough semester teaching, but she was also very understanding on our situations. Her exams were not so tough, first one was easy, second was hard, and final was easy. Just a dry class.
First exam is a breeze and a study guide filled out floating somewhere. Second was a challenge. Final was easier. Overall, her 2 writing assignments she grades super easy and i got 9.5/10 and put in 2 hours. She is a great professor but can take forever grading everything. The passing was 74% but if you got 70 overall she would pass you.
Lusk loves to cram 4 or 5 chapters into 2 lectures, she did this multiple times for us. She tells us not to study from her lectures but to read the book instead. She gives us Exam Study Guides with questions "about" each question on the exam, norm 50-55. I learned a lot, on my own. Group project was not hard, got a 95, graded on the presentation.
Her lectures are not really helpful for exams.. You can miss few classes and do well on the exam just by reading the textbook. She is cool and funny though.. Exam study guides are very broad so even though you answered and studied all the study guide questions, you will still find the exam very confusing..
I took her class based on the ratings on here, and I do not regret it. Her lectures are great. She teaches with humor and examples that are very relatable. Her assignments and activities helped many of us, especially myself, learn open our eyes more about who we are and how we can manage/ work with others.
Great professor; material was not my forte(Except psychological aspects). Lectures can be boring so make sure to read slides ahead of time and ask Q's on confusing concepts (Good amount of tricky concepts so her explanations are key). The final is hardest exam b/c she rephrases concepts as its opposite. All Exams have scenario-based Q's. easy B?
Professor Lusk is genuinely one of the most caring and warm people I have ever met. She strives to connect with her students, even though there are 250 of us in a lecture at a time. Course is made of 2 midterms, a final, and 2 papers. The tests are all questions straight from the textbook question bank, study the textbook not powerpoints!
Tests are very different from study guide she gives. Took the class with 200+ and everyone leaves, which is a bit rude. Talks a lot about her life and goes off topic a lot, and skims through the slides. Attendance is mandatory. She is very nice and kind person but the tests will throw you off.
Class consisted of three exams and either two papers or a sketch (depends on the class size). Exams are difficult in that they are more scenario based questions than conceptual, so understanding the material is key. Reads off the power point most of the time but does have real world experience where she tries to relate it to the topic at hand.
She is a good teacher but her exams are really difficult. They are all super long novel sized questions on exams. No HW just a skit & one paper. She talks a lot about her personal life. She still made us do a skit even though COVID. But for some reason didn't give us a grade on the skit. Easy A but you will have to try.
Professor Lusk is one of the best professors I have had by far! She makes her lectures really interesting and engaging. Her exams are difficult so you really need to study and know the concepts not just the definitions. But she wants you to succeed! I highly recommend her!!
Nice teacher, but the project is dumb. Group project 6-7 people, you have to create a business plan from scratch with very little start-up cash. When we were forced to go online due to COVID, she made us continue the project to "keep a sense of normalcy". She was pretty easy on the grading, but the project itself was just too much considering.
Favorite professor this semester! Did amazing even with COVID transition. Is very funny, upfront, and knowledgeable. Amazing lectures, fun class, and super fun material to learn. Does talk pretty fast but still got most of her lecture down. Shows videos, encourages discussion, pretty easy going on papers. Would absolutely take her again!
Very nice woman! She really cares about her students and their success. No proctorio for exams, just zoom for proctoring. Powerpoints don't go into detail so you need the book for the exam study guide. Theres one group paper and presentation, but she usually gives you time to meet in your groups at the end of most lectures. Great professor!
Professor Lusk is one of the sweetest people youll ever meet. The class was super easy but still interesting, although at times she can get sidetracked with personal stories. It was a bit clear that adapting to an online class was a bit tough for her but I dont blame her. Didnt really need to show up, as long as you know the material.
Prof Lusk was generous to our class. Exams are the hardest b/c they're scenario based + t/f. Go beyond reading the textbook and studying powerpoint slides if you want an A. The second exam is the hardest. Every exam has 6 chapters. The class consists of 3 exams, 2 papers, and a couple discussions.
Lectures were heavy and tests were not similar to her lectures. Almost no homework. I enjoyed this class style but hard to get a good grade based on what she teaches and her exams. Passed with a B. I would take this professor again.
Attendance taken, tests closely relate to course content. Professor Lusk is very kind and helpful. Just another management course.
She lectures during the entire zoom meeting, she reads off PP slides, way too much talking. There are no breaks during lectures. No homework, no extra credit, tests are done with proctorio, 50 questions multiple choice. Provides test reviews, do the reviews & you will pass the tests. Book is free online. 1 group project paper & PP presentation.
I've taken her twice and now I think I'd avoid her in the future if there's better options. She can get a bit unprofessional; many grammatical errors, very late email responses, does not explain grading criteria for participation, does not mark her words (said she would re-grade my hw and didn't), makes many lame excuses. Same patterns, diff class.
Professor Lusk is a great professor. She has so much experience in her field within different departments it allows her to provide amazing examples along with lecture. There really isnt that much homeowork which is nice. Tests are pretty difficult though. Even if you go to lecture, read the book. One paper, one skit. (both were not bad)
Her lectures are so boring. Can get all the same info from just reading the book and you should! Exams don't reflect her study guide AT ALL you're better off going through the book and reading all the chapters. The study guide makes it seem like you can get away with just knowing the definitions, but you have to understand the concepts very well.
I agree with the rating below mine. Therefore, if you want to ace her exam with her study guide, you have to use Quizlet. To be specific, you have to find some test bank questions from Quizlet that match her study guide.
Look her lectures are long and don't really make sense, just show up for the zoom credit but no need to pay attention. For the exams, I just read quizlets and got an A on all 3 exams. People in the class would review the lectures and do the study guide and barely pass. Look just do the bare minimum and read quizlets and you'll get an A
Avoid if you have difficulties paying attention/focusing (like ADHD). Her lectures are long and boring and she will talk about long stories about her personal experiences. Class itself isn't difficult but you have to spend lots of time studying on your own cuz her lectures aren't helping. Says she grades attendance but thats not part of your grade.
This professor was mediocre at best. The lectures covered the bare minimum of the chapter - with the study guides being not relatable to the exam at all. She is also quite slow at grading. Make sure you read the textbook if you want to get a good grade in this class
She is very caring and wants you to pass. Reaching out for help really saves me. Her tests are very difficult and required a ton of studying. Lectures can be slow since this subject matter is pretty boring. Would take her again for another class.
Lusk is a nice woman with relevant experience however her exams are nothing like what the book and study guides are like. They are very difficult and her lectures are a waste. I wouldn't recommend her until she changes her study guides or lectures to be actually helpful for her exams.
There are two exams, a group project, a couple of easy hw assignments, and a final. Her lectures are thorough, but honestly I studied for exams strictly from the book/the quizlets she provides and got Bs. Attendance is not necessary in my opinion. The group project is pretty straightforward, it is just a script that you record with your group.
She's a pretty easy professor. I barely showed up to class and got a free B. I would definitely take her if you need to take a class with her. You do the bare minimum and you will 100% pass.
She's a great person, but as a prof not so much. Her lectures are pretty much useless as she will go on tangents about life and work experiences not really relating to course material. Final exam was def the hardest one, seems like common sense but not really. Minimal hw, exams are scenario based.
Exams were mostly scenario-based and rarely matched the in-class lectures, attendance was mandatory, one group skit project, professor went off-topic on many occasions during lectures. professor herself was very nice and quite funny sometimes but her exams were unbelievably difficult. class average for final exam was an F.
1 group project as final. Few assignments but weigh heavy on your grade. Took her class Tues 7-945pm, often times she would only lecture for an hour & dismiss class. Study material & know concepts, tests are concept heavy & questions are based off scenarios. exam reviews werent too helpful as test material was 80% different than what is on review.
I don't think she teaches the material in a particularly memorable way. Her group project is a skit that you and 6 other people perform and she opted out of teaching for the last 3 weeks so we could work on our skit and present them instead of teaching. Not the worst professor but far from good.
I've never seen so inspirational lectures before. It felt like ted talks each time, motivating , inspiring, growing.
Didn't learn anything I didn't know already. Be careful if you hand in any assignments early, the criteria and guidance for the assignment changed right up to the deadline and left me redrafting assignments frequently. Didn't get a good grade but also didn't get any indication as to what was done wrong, the only feedback was positive.
Lusk's class is a mixed bag - lectures can drag, but her study material and quizlets are quite helpful. Unstuck AI was a lifesaver for exam prep. Tough exams, but doable with dedication.
