His Nutrition class was my hardest class this semester. Class is super boring, he just reads off of slides for the entire time. Quiz at the beginning of class on the textbook reading and they are SO HARD. I would spent 2-3 hours reading and get a 6/10 on the quiz. Tests are also so hard and huge part of grade. Worst class i've ever taken.
I took Community Health and Professor Chase did a great job teaching the class. He was able to explain things clearly and really wanted to make sure we did well. It was one of my most enjoyable classes and I'd be happy to take another one of his.
I really enjoyed his class! He gave clear instruction in every assignment. He designed the course very organized!
His due dates are sometimes listed out of order so you have to look for them, but it's not the worst!
Super hard review quizzes.
Really enjoyed this class. Dr. Chase has gotten a lot better at teaching / organizing his classes since the first class I took from him. He is honestly a nice guy and a good professor. Super willing to help you be successful if you will work. You do for sure have to do the reading and show up to class or you aren't going to do well. Very reasonable
Awesome. It's a hard class but Chase makes it fun and easier to learn. You definitely need to still put in work but he offers lots of extra help and extra credit every now and then. He makes the tests easier and grades on a curve if everyones struggling. I would've hated this class but he made me love it.
I loved Dr. Chase, he made anatomy an enjoyable class. In the beginning I was a little lost, but once i picked up on how he creates his exams and what he expects out of you, the class became fun. He cares more about you learning the knowledge, then just passing the class. But don't worry he gives many extra credit opportunities.
Brother Chase is great! Anatomy wasn't easy but he did a great job to help us understand the important concepts, you just have to study. He is super understanding and really wants you to succeed. Would definintely reccomend taking this class. Very frequent quizzes- just make sure to do your reading.
Dr. Chase is such a nice guy and he taught the best way he knew how. Human Anatomy is such a hard subject though, it was really tough to go through tons of information in such a short semester. Although I loved the material we learned about, it was hard to retain the information by how fast we went and the tests he gave were nearly impossible.
He loves to spend time with us outside of the classroom and help us to overcome our challenges
Brother Chase is a respectable and caring professor. He tries his best to do all he can to help his students succeed. Most lectures he spends going over powerpoints that contain the main points of each chapter. It’s a hard class with a lot of information but it’s doable.
This was a very good class. Would definitely recommend Dr. Chase. He is funny and a good teacher. He makes sure we are all comfortable and ready to learn.
I really enjoyed this anatomy class. I learned a lot and I was able to apply it to my life. It was a hard course. You have to read a chapter of the textbook every day before class so there is a lot of reading. Professor Chase is really nice and understanding, and your best interest is his top priority.
Professor Chase is really awesome! This is a tough class with a lot of memorization but if you keep on top of your readings, study hard, and use the TA’s for help, you will do fine. Professor Chase is funny and has good ways of teaching the same subject in different ways so that you can remember it. Definitely would take again!
This professor does a great job teaching material in different ways to help students understand and apply knowledge. I love how much he cares about students and wants to help us succeed, but still holds us accountable. A lot of reading to do and you need to be in class to do well but if you apply yourself and seek help, things will work out.
Dr Chase is one of my favorite professors at BYUH. He wants his students to succeed, and encourages you to be motivated with beginning of class quizzes. Even if all is lost with a 91% before the final, he will surprise you with extra credit that can boost you 5% or more.
Brother Chase is very nice but he does not know how to teach Anatomy. The lectures were not helpful and the attendance quizzes are too many points. The test questions are written really weird and are hard to understand. No one in our class passed his midterm because the questions were from units we had not learned yet. He never answers emails.
Honestly he is a nice person, but he doesn't know how to teach anatomy. He reads off the powerpoints and expects you to learn. He gives you an hour in lab to learn like 300 pages of material and then tests you on it closed notes. If you fail one of them it drops your grade by a lot. His extra credit doesn't do anything. He can't explain things too.
Professor Chase is a good professor. He is clear with what he expects from you and gives you the chance to do more and grow. I truly enjoyed his class, but sometimes the assignments seem a little redundant but useful.
Teaching style for this course was a little lacking but he is working on creating better lectures, and they definitely have improved throughout this semester alone. Considering the other options at the university Bro. Chase is probably the way to go, but I would not ideally want to take another class like anatomy again as his tests were super hard.
Brother Chase is an awesome teacher and he really cares to know each of his students on a somewhat personal level. He does very good at giving information to the students. The questions on his tests are many times worded very weird so be ready to think and reread carefully on tests. He gives a fair amount of work for the course.
He teaches a lot of what is from the book using his power points and usually lectures on that. He also makes these quizzes before every class period which is on the chapter that should've been read before class. He is a really funny guy and although some people don't understand his humor, if you from Hawai'i you would.
Dr. Chase is a great professor who cares about his students. He does a pretty good job of making lectures as interesting as they can be but just be prepared, when it says bio 260 lecture... thats exactly what it means. This class is nothing but lecture. As long as you keep up on reading the chapters and pay attention in class, you'll be fine.
Bio 260 is a fast paced class with tests every week. It’s next to impossible to get an A on the test even if you study for hours which can be discouraging
Brother Chase is caring and thoughtful about his students. He loves to crack jokes and make the lectures light-hearted and as exciting as possible. The only thing I hope he improves are introducing exam reviews so that us as students can be more prepared for the tests. Take Brother Chase's class, you won't regret it!
In general, I really enjoyed this class. You will learn a lot but it is very challenging. Get ready to read a lot. Make sure to take notes and to take advantage of the tutors. This is a very test heavy class, you will have one almost every week. There is also a quiz at the beginning of very class to get prepared for that. I learned a lot.
This class is hard, probably no matter the professor you take it from. There is a ton of memorization. It will just be important to understand that studying for this class will be time consuming. Sometimes lecture can be boring, but Brother Chase finds ways to add in activities or make things interesting every so often. I enjoyed the class.
I really enjoyed this class, lot's of reading to keep up with but Brother Chase does a good job at keeping class interesting. Definitely learned a lot and definitely took a lot of tests as well but that's expected for anatomy.
Brother Chase is the best professor I’ve had here at Byuh. He creates a community in his class. Easy class. Attendance is graded but his lectures are fun and effective. We had 2pm classes with him and I didn’t fall asleep once because of his preparation and personality. He really cares about his students.
Doctor Chase is really good at understanding learning styles. He puts in effort to make sure there are resources for everyone to learn and understand. Sometimes he goes really fast, but he is very nice and makes class interesting.
Brother chase is the best teacher Ive had here at byuh. He cares about his students. Easy class. Attendance is required but his classes are fun and effective. We had 2pm classes with him but I have never fell asleep once, which is hard for afternoon classes. He created a community within our class. He has a good sense of humour and is easy going.
Dr. Chase is really awesome. He allows us to complete assignments with different ressources than asked first. He is funny, easy to talk to, but may need to reduce the load of time of lecture- I got bored really fast.
Dr. Chase was a great professor and really tailored his class towards us as students. 10/10 would definitely take another class from him.
Dr. Chase is a very great professor. He cares about improvement and has a very likeable personality. Makes an effort to give us easy ways to remember things and I look forward to learning from him in other classes.
Professor Chase is a great teacher who genuinely cares about your academic success. This is a difficult class with a lot of reading and memorization but he does a good job at keeping you engaged. I really enjoyed this class and learned a lot from it.
Dr. Chase is an excellent professor. This class is challenging, but he is willing to care for and help students succeed.
Brother Chase cares a lot about his students and is trying to be the best professor he can. He's very personable and likable. His anatomy class is a lot of information thrown at you at a very fast pace. I think he's a good professor which is why I put a 3, and I think he's on his way to becoming a great professor soon.
Brother Chase tries his best and really cares about his student's academic success. This class is pretty challenging but the TAs are super helpful. He also does well with trying to make learning the material fun in lectures.
Professor Chase is a good guy who makes lectures fairly interesting. If you read the textbook then you will do fine on all of the tests and quizzes.
Dr. Chase is caring and charismatic. He is very knowledgeable about the topics he discusses. The only bad part is the way he runs his canvas. Most homework assignments are posted the day before or day of the due date. Which doesn’t leave much time to get them done
Good stuff from Prof. Chase, only down side is your grade is really hard to get up if you miss anything, even if its for a family function or something of great importance.
Funny guy but you better read your book for his class otherwise you'll be lost, his lectures are very not so much his but rather his students teaching and they aren't great, read the book for sure.
Is a good teacher, expects you to read a chapter and have notes prepared for every lecture. Uses lots of different teaching methods that keep class interesting. Presents different opportunities to practice coaching techniques. Easy to work with and cares about the students.
Brother Chase is a great teacher! He makes learning fun and enjoyable. There is a lot of work and reading for his class but the reading isn't boring and it's easy to understand. I would definitely take a class from him again.
Caring and helps his students gain points as much as possible. Just do the reading and do not miss class because there are class quizzes. He is an honest person as he says in the first class of the semester that Anatomy is hard. But if you want an A, it is doable and very possible. He is the best professor!
He gives many opportunities to the students and prepares classes for the students hard.
Love Doctor Chase! I like his teaching style and attitude. His style of teaching makes difficult content understandable and easy. His activities encourage interaction among the students and guests. He is also really good at relating to us all. A fantastic person and I would take his class again.
He is the best, but always read the chapter before get into class.
Prof. Chase is pretty cool overall. He is well prepared and provides good examples and explanations on the subjects. He has a good sense of humor and keeps the class engaged and fun. His grading is fair and quizzes are not complicated. He test fairly based on the content he covered in the class. He is one of my favorite professors.
Dr Chase is a great professor. He made a difficult class rather enjoyable and very fair. I was never bored during lecture and felt prepared for tests after lots of individual study.
Dr chase was super awesome!! I loved his class and it was my favorite class i took this semester. His class is kinda fast pace and we have a decent amount of tests but i still loved it. Dr chase is also super funny and nice and really understanding, I would definitely recommend taking his class! I learned so much and had such a good time.
It's a tough class but you can tell Dr. Chase cares about the success of his students. He rewards effort so as long as you put in the work (read the textbook, come to class, study) you'll be fine.
He's legit. He knows the class materials and what to teach. He's considerate and understanding. He's always open to questions if you want to learn more about the class materials and what is to be expected. He likes when students participate and pay attention during class discussions and not on phones.
Loved his different modes of teaching, meaning the easy-to-understand lectures, in-class quizzes, group work, and vocab quizzes. The way he taught actually helped me to retain a lot of information which a lot of professors fail to do. Class moves a little fast, but is doable.
Brother Chase was a good professor. You will defiantly learn new things from him.
Brother Chase was great! We took attendance quizzes each class and if you missed you could not make it up. If you didn't read the textbook the tests were a little harder, but overall if you did the assignments, read the textbook, and went to class you should get an A.
Brother Chase is a really good professor. He actually cares about each student and wants each student to succeed. he knows how to explain material in a way that is easy to understand and explains material in multiple ways to help understand. Also a really funny guy and makes class interesting and fun.
As long as you read, go to class, participate, and do your homework Brother Chase's class will be a great one to take! He is a very cool dude and comes up with creative and fun ways to learn and teach.
Very awesome teacher!
He's willing to give you second chances.
He gives second chances.
This is a fun class, and there are many things that I learned to protect and take care of my health, my family, and my community. Guest speakers were invited for us to understand and learn more from the class topic. Dr. Chase is a fantastic teacher!
Awesome professor! Love Brother Chase a lot. He has a lot of sense of humor.
Great teacher, he cares about his students and always strive to improve on how he teaches. He keeps the lecture fun and interesting to keep the attention of students.
Brother Chase really cares about his students! Hard class but expected.
Teaching style is pretty much all lecture. You have to be prepared to get an overview of the chapter in class and read the entire chapter outside of class. Could be more helpful with what to study for tests because of how much information you cover.
Classes are super fun, interesting, and very creative in teaching.
I believe Professor Chase is a good professor. I think he cares a lot about his students and wants us to thrive in this course. I believe the course is on the more difficult side, there is a lot of content that needs to be learned in order to succeed. It requires a lot of work but there is the book, powerpoint slides, and tutors to help out.
Brother Chase is a fantastic professor! I recommend taking his classes.
I really liked the way the professor conducted the quiz at the beginning of every class. That made me read the lesson before class which I never did in my life earlier.
Chase is a good lecture. Be prepared to read the book every lecture.
Hard class and so read up
Brother Chase is so awesome! His class is super hard, but he tries to make it as enjoyable and light hearted as possible.
Dr. Case he is amazing! Always have group study in class but that helps you a lot for exam. He is very funny and he always wanted the students to pass his class. There is Jeopardy games before exam always! 100% recommended:)
Good guy but not my favorite professor. He typically didn't tell you about assignments, then you saw them appear on canvas the day they're due, Several times he canceled class 20 minutes after it started, no study guide or idea of whats on the test, etc. As long as you check canvas every hour for random assignments, easy A in coaching.
This class is pretty content heavy but Brother Chase makes it super fun. Having a professor who cares can really change the way you do in the class because you feel seen and you feel that he wants you to succeed. Yes, this class is difficult and will require a lot of work. But-- if you do your part, you can learn a lot AND get a good grade.
Professor Chase is great! Anatomy is a relatively difficult class but he did a good job at teaching the material and making the class more entertaining. Brother Chase also made an effort to get to know each of his students and clearly cared about how we were doing in the class.
Brother. Chase was an amazing professor! he gave awesome lectures and is super understanding when it comes to grading. He makes class fun while also keeping it informational, he is relatable and so funny. I would definitely take his class again even though it was hard!
Professor Chase is extremely helpful and is always willing to answer questions. His lecture quizzes and lectures are super helpful at covering the information in the book. Although the tests can be hard if a majority of the class struggles he acknowledges this and helps go over the material better.
He is a great teacher with humor. I like how he teaches the class and I learned a lot from this class and very usefull.
He's such a great teacher! Definitely take him if you get the chance. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun in his class.
Bro Chase is an awful anatomy professor. Do not take this class. Unless you wanna cry and hate life. There aren't any study guides, he just reads from slides, and doesn't care.
Goodluck if you have him for anatomy. He gives the hardest tests and no study guides. There is so much material and he picks the smallest, most irrelevant things to test on. Also, try really hard in lab because there are barely any grades so if you do bad on one quiz you are screwed.
I put 5/5 for awesome at being the worst teacher ever. Anatomy was the worst. I stressed more about what my fake grade was going to be than my real one. We would know what we got in the pre-class quiz and then canvas would say 2/10. WRONG. Do no recommend. 10/10 no
Brother Chase is awesome!
Textbook chapters are 40-60 pages and you have to read 3 chapters a week. There is a FULL exam after 3 chapters. He tests on the most asinine questions that you will never know. I would study for hours, everything from in-class quizzes and his PowerPoint slides and I would memorize everything stone cold. Still could only pull like a 78 on exams.
Some units had a recorded lecture. They were essentially just a review of the textbook. All course material including exams came straight from the textbooks. The only downside is the homework was extremely time consuming, and the tests were not open book. I ended up spending close 6+ hours a week for what I thought would be an easy 1 credit class.
Dr. Chase is a really good teacher, I have had many classes by him. He knows a lot and he works well with the students to try and make it a more enjoyable class. I also find the materials and lessons interesting and he knows a lot of information and knows what to test on.
Do your part and it will be manageable.
The tests are pretty hard. There is no study guide for any of the tests so prepare to do a lot of textbook reading.
This class was online and it was during spring, so it was a lot to manage but overall totally doable. Dr. Chase is easy to contact outside of class and super reasonable. Learned a lot!
He is an awesome professor who can involve all students in the class. There are unit test after 3 chapters and the chapter are around 40 pages. So there are a lot of readings and those reading can help you with the unit tests. Also, there is a chapter test before every class so read and miss no class, you will be fine.
Great teacher!
Do what you got to do in this class and you will do great! Dr. Chase is a great professor and is always open to helping/making improvements for the sake of his students.
I think Professor Chase is a really happy person who is good at what he does. The medical terminology class was tough for a one-credit class, as there was a lot of material to read and remember each week in a short semester. I appreciated his timely responses when I had questions or concerns as well.
Brother Chase is a great person, but this class was unreasonably hard for a one credit class. There was no real teaching besides the textbook and video lectures (sometimes) that just reviewed the book. A ton of memorizing and test had some pretty obscure information. Overall a rather challenging class, but doable with a lot of effort.
Dr. Chase is a fun professor that I would recommend to any student.
Brother Chase is awesome. This class was not bad for being online just be prepared for a lot of textbook reading if you are not already familiar with terminology. Pretty easy assignments and tests were not too bad.
He's okay just too many homework and tests.
This professor was one that I really ended up liking a lot. In the beginning I kind of thought he was more of a gym teacher than academic teacher but he knows his stuff and you can tell he's passionate about it. He engages well with students and is willing to work with you if you have questions or issues. Overall, very much enjoyed the class.
Great at keeping you engaged. There is a lot of material to cover but if you keep up with the reading you will be good.
Professor Chase is awesome. His tests are sort of difficult but if you do the readings and take notes you will be just fine on the tests.
Good and helpful teacher for an online course. Provided a good variety of efficient assignments and tests that reflected the material.
Brother Chase is awesome and really fun to have as a professor. But do not take this class thinking it is an easy 1 credit course, it's more work than even a typical science lab class. Be prepared to completely self teach yourself using the textbook and for weekly exams. You can succeed, it's a good class, just know it will take a lot of work! :)
Should not use videos with profanity. I like teaching style and many opportunities to present what we learned and increase ability to recall learned material. It helped when it came time for tests
This course was good. It is a TA ran course from what I have seen. You read and do a few homework assignments throughout the week and then test on Thursday-saturday. Kind of at your own pace.
Brother Chase is a very knowledgeable man that teaches in fun and interesting ways. He also always has way too much energy and enthusiasm for an 8am class. I definitely would recommend this class and brother chase as a professor, its very interesting and fun!
Brother Chase is awesome! He makes sure that you know what you are learning and gives you time to understand at your own pace. He always has a good joke and a short video to watch every class. He makes an effort to know everyone by name.
Brother Chase was a fun and engaging teacher. He always had new, activities and made each class something different. Each activity had a purpose and it helps you understand the lecture and reading better. It's not a stress heavy class, just unit exams and weekly assignments. Come to class ready to participate but have fun!
He is a friendly, funny, and engaged professor. This class is not easy because we need to read a lot, but no study guide for unit tests. He will ask you to go front and talk about what you learned from the chapter.
Brother Chase is stellar. He is a phenomenal communicator, as well as has the best interest at heart for you. He wants you to learn things to go into the world prepared. Would recommend to anyone who is trying to gain a lot from a class.
This course is very straightforward but a lot of self-motivation is necessary. The assignments help but they don't cover nearly everything in the tests. The course is very textbook-heavy. I put more time into studying this one-credit class than I did my three-credit classes because it's a lot of memorizing. Professor Chase is very kind and cool tho
Dr. Chase is really a fun teacher to have. I will definitely recommend taking any course with him. He always encourages students through fun and creative group presentations.
the teaching style is very good, but grading needs improvement.
As long as you come to class on time, are prepared, and participate you will love his class.
Dr. Chase is a great professor and wants his students to succeed. He is very clear about his instructions and doesnt try to trick you in any way. He is very good at communicating what is expected, what the requirements are, and also any changes to scheduling or assignments. More than most professors, he is very good at communicating.
An easy class if you follow along with lectures.
You should not take this class because there are 5 tests in the semester. He did not give the guideline for tests not at all. Getting higher grade is super hard.
Dr. Chase is a caring professor who's very understanding and cracks the best jokes.
So much was shoved into the semester. He expected us to read a whole textbook and take 5 unit tests along with that. I think the 5 tests are reasonable but it's the amount of reading that was not. I do not think that we should be required to read word for word an entire textbook when all of the info does not need to be included.
10/10 must try again
I appreciate how he finds ways to improve out grade when we are failing his test. At least I was not doing good in the tests.
I like how he create activities for the class that will make it more exciting and fun. You will be able to learn a lot from this professor while having a good time. Aside from that, he's also good-looking!
Make sure you read the textbook or you won't do well.
Fun teacher that tries to make class interesting and engaging. The test material and questions are sometimes not covered at all in class, but are within the textbook.
He is friendly teacher
This class helps me a lot especially the negative side effects of alcohol on people specifically to the youth recently. Not only that, this class assist me that the consequence of our decision will affect our health.
Brother Benjamin helps me a lot with this class especially when I have difficult times with school. This class helps me to become a smart young lady to overcome the negative effect of alcohol on people.
Coolest man alive, always looked forward to coming to class.
Good class, you must show up to class to get credit for the day. The tests were a little hard and could be on anything in the textbook which made it sort of hard to do good because we had no study guides you just had to remember everything from the 3 chapters each test was on. Brother Chase makes the class period funny and fun.
Even though the course is online, I learned a lot because of the weekly exams. It motivates me to read the chapter, especially since this course would be helpful in my future career. I like the activities in the quizzes and good thing you can take them unlimited times so you can memorize the material.
He is awesome and knows the course well, can help us understand the concept.
He is a great guy, I would have loved this class if it was in perosn but it wasn't. There is a ton a reading and a 1000 definitions to memorize and you're never sure what he will put on the tests. Best of luck. Just be ready to study a lot.
This was a very fun class with lots of discussion!
Brother Chases was chill and nice. He makes a lot of jokes and tries to keep class fun. You do have a test quite often but honestly, it was not bad at all. Go to class though or your grade will drop significantly. The information we learned is very valuable today which was nice.
This class is very reasonable, there is homework, and exams every week, but it's fairly manageable for a 1 credit course.
This class is very helpful if you are good at self-learning. There is so much to do for a 1 credit class but everything is essential and would work so well if the lectures are given on the topics. The professor is very understanding and ready to help.
He make his lecture to be interesting and engaging. He make jokes and tries to engage with students a lot. There's review quiz in every class period so you have to go to class. Also, we had mini presentation several times.
Brother Chase is an awesome teacher, pretty organized in the way he teaches and knows how to interact with the class. His course and assignments are doable. Might want to attend class as there are quizzes at the beginning of every class.
Dr. Chase is great! He always find ways to improve and help us learn effectively. You will expect learning 3 chapters along with assignments and quizzes every week during Spring. But its medical terminology so if you are willing to do the work, you can definitely get good grades. He also gives extra credit now and then. So that's a plus!
Not many video lectures, mostly self-reading and doing assignments. I haven't met Dr. Chase in person but he seems like a great professor and willing to help if you have any questions.
He was entertaining and very chill. I felt like I could connect with him well and felt I could talk to him about anything I needed help with, without feeling judged. He emailed me to see if I was ok when I missed a class. He is very caring.
If you are reading this as a student, no sugar coats, he is really cool. Just take his class and you should be good. He is an understanding Professor and has a cool sense of humor. He was also one of the bishopric counselors in my ward. Really cool dude.
Great professor that helped you not just to pass but understand the course.
Awesome professor, very funny and cares for the students, will remember you for the four years you are at school and will always say hi to you. Has tough classes, but does his best to give us the right tools to succeed in each of them
Professor Chase was awesome. He did great on connecting with his students through his sense of humor. I think when a professor can be silly and make jokes with his students, it builds relationships. His attitude was very enjoyable to be around and I love that he was very lenient towards students who were unable to attend class for whatever reason.
Hands down one of my favorite professors. He made sure everyone was involved in the class. You had to do your readings or else you would be lost during class.
This was an online course but I have taken an in-person class from Professor Chase before. He is a great dude and a fair grader. He doesn't ask for too much, just do your part. If you're on top of Canvas and you read the textbook, you will ace this class. The assignments for this class are kinda fun too, some are interactive so you're never bored.
We had group presentations and unit tests in every unit. Also in every class, there was a review quiz on the chapter students are going to learn that day.
Brother Chase's medical terminology class was super awesome! I feel like it was pretty easy yet super interesting and that I felt like I learned a lot- the best type of class! Every assignment had clear expectations and was easy to follow. I would recommend this class.
Easy class and very nice
The class is all about reading the textbook, but some of the questions in the assignments could be tricky.
His teaching style is basically follows the same pattern but it is also interesting in each class period. He is very creative to make students to participate in class discussions which is very helpful in learning process.
Prof. Chase is very knowledgeable about the subject he teaches. The class starts and finishes on time. Not all test questions are from the class lessons so, you need to read the whole chapter from the textbook.
He's the one!
Really fun professor, but get ready to do presentations and lots of reading. You have quizzes and tests weekly. It's a really fun class, and you learn a lot of really cool things. Interesting material covered.
Doctor Chase was an awesome professor. Attendance was mandatory but he taught awesome and he was a jokster. I liked his way of teaching.
I think Dr. Chase is funny, but I wouldn't really take another class with him if I had the choice. The tests didn't have much to do with the material learned in class and he relies heavily on reading the entire textbook and powerpoints. You do a lot of group activities, but they don't really do much either. Overall not bad but not my favorite.
Brother Chase is chilll. Has a sense of humor so he always makes learning fun. He's helpful and gives out lots of extra credits. Highly recommend
He's got a sense of humor so he likes to add jokes when delivering material which makes learning fun. He adds videos to his lectures and makes the class participate that way he's not talking from the board the whole 1 hour and 20mins which is good.
Professor Chase is awesome! He teaches some hard classes, but Anatomy is definitely a good one! It's tough, but that's the nature of the class, and he does his best to make it manageable without robbing you of any learning. It is test-heavy, and you'll need to do every assignment and attend every class, but it's alright. He's funny and a good guy.
Overall, learned a lot. It was pretty lecture heavy and the test questions were not always relevant.
He was great at teaching, lectures weren't boring and he's very accomadating.
Brother Chase cares and will work with you! Reach out and give him honest feedback. This class is hard but so worth taking! Stay ahead reading wise as much as possible. TUTORING is KEY!!!
Tutoring is key! Hard but worth it!!
TEACHING STYLE IS VERY CREATIVE IN A WAY THAT WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND AND REMEMBER THINGS ABOUT ANATOMY.
I think that Dr. Chase's teaching style worked very well for me. He would always have a slide show and then just present from that. All of his information was taken out of the book and so I could review it as much as I wanted. I think that some people can struggle with just lectures, but it worked for me.
Brother Chase is a very fun professor. His classes are very entertaining and you are able to learn a lot. Prepare for quizzes every class, and quite a lot of visits to the testing center.
He is honestly a good teacher who has good structure to his class, but there is a lot of material to cover in the semester so it is basically a lot of reading the textbook and then trying to memorize everything. He does show he cares for his students by offering different resources for help and just knowing that can help you pass the class.
Dr. Chase is an amazing teacher. The only hard part about this class is that there are quizzes at the start of a new chapter. Other than that, Dr Chase is a straight-up G. He will make sure you understand and is always there to help you out.
Great Professor, after taking a different anatomy class and bombing it, Dr. Chase had a great breath of fresh air. His test heavy class is necessary in helping you feel prepared for the final.
Professor Chase is great and cares about your success in his class. He gives lots of small opportunities for extra credit, so make sure you do those. Be prepared to read a LOT and complete assignments. It can be overwhelming at times, but if you do your best to read the chapters and attend lectures, you will do good on the tests.
The Best In EXS
This class is challenging. It's very midterm and final heavy, so those are basically what your grade depends on. Dr. Chase is a really cool guy, though, and wants you to succeed. His tests are tough, and my class average was like a 70 (never curved). GO to the TA's!!! They will help you!!!
His classes are entertaining, fun, while remaining educational.
great professor heavy class!
Professor Chase has set up this course super well, it's very interactive, requires you to step outside of your comfort zone, and learn highly applicable skills for coaching.
I'm honestly shocked by his score on here. No one loves his class. Take him for EXS 369 (coaching), but nothing else. He actually likes coaching, so that class is 10x better. Do not recommend him at all. Got a good grade and still would not recommend his classes.
Dr. Chase is a very friendly and very funny professor. He helps me with anatomy with very unique activities in lectures and labs. The course has a high percentage of testing as a major part of the grade, so testing skills are a must and you have to study constantly.
You need to read the textbook because he will have chapter review quizzes. It really tests on your understanding of the book. You will need to do a lot of pre-study. I love his class activities and you get the chance to apply your knowledge. He also has a lot of Unit tests so you will always need to study but it is useful and fun.
The Midterm is everything. He will test the questions he has never taught before but from the textbook.
Attendance is mandatory in his classes, be sure to always read through the chapters in the textbook as most of the quizzes, and test(s) are taken from the textbook. Tests are usually based on chapter readings, class discussions, and the coach speaker that he has planned out. Really enjoyed his teaching!
The lectures are power points he creates that comes from the book just summary, test can be difficult just because anatomy is all about memorizing. You will be doing a lot of self teaching when reading the book but does answer questions if knows the answer.
This class is very lecture and test heavy. Dr. Chase jokes around a lot and does try to make the lectures fun. Expect to read a lot and come to class knowing the material already.
The TAs will help you! But the lab is difficult because it is only graded on the end-of-class quizzes.
Its very easy to work with Brother Chase. His class is fun and chill so you just need to come to class fully prepared by reading your textbook and doing your homework and assignments and class should be easy.
Be ready to read. Really though, if you read the chapters and listen in lecture you should be okay. He's willing to work with you and his lectures are good. He tries to make it fun and knows it's a difficult class. Good guy outside of class, too. The midterm and final seem to be weighed pretty heavily, which can bring your grade down easily.
Brother Chase gives us lots of opportunity for extra credit, however he makes the tests a little difficult.
This class is difficult in the sense that there is a lot of material to cover. So lots of tests and reading. Dr. Chase is a fun teacher and tries to make things fun. Lab is the better of the two classes though cause you can actually look at models.
I felt as if he barely knew enough to be teaching 50 other students anatomy. I also always felt lost and confused when it came down to what to study for tests other than reading the chapter.
Brother Chase makes learning fun and interesting. To help us prepare for his class he has us do readings before hand and a way he makes sure of this is he gives us in class quizzes and randomly chooses someone to share their thoughts on the chapter based on three questions he gives.
I wasn't sure about him at first because he likes to tease & pick on students and he can come off pretty strict at first but he really grew on me through out the semester. He is very kind and helpful and a genuinely good teacher. He makes trivia games and goes over our reading and helps us to feel prepared for every assignment or test coming up.
He discourages cheating and you have no means to cheat in his class. He will help you along the way as long as you do your part and efforts.
It was a class where I could learn a lot about human anatomy.
Make PPT to explain sources in the text.

Made PPT to explain sources in the text
Get ready to read. You have to really read if you want to survive in this class.
Dr. Ben is an amazing guy. I like his teaching style because it made me really read my book. Amazing lectures but his exams are hard.
Brother Chase is awesome. He is way funny and makes the classes enjoyable. This class was very straightforward and easy to understand. We had to do a bit of reading but it was manageable. He follows a pattern for assignments and lectures so you know what to expect. I wish he would switch it up a little bit more though. It kind of gets repetitive.
This professor intends to help students learn and pass this class with good grades. He has created a good structure of class that helps students do what they are supposed to do.
A very beneficial but very intense course. There is not a lot of material provided to study, so be sure to go to tutoring and thoroughly read the textbook.
He is cool but if you have any questions he will probably say "i don't know, check the text book" but hes chill.
Bro Chase is a beast. He is a great coach and is very helpful when it comes down to coaching. He gets along with all of his students and class is worth going to. There are chapter tests but every test he prepares you well. I definitely would take him again.
He is cool but be prepared to do a lot of essays for your homework and exams. Group activities and presentations are not effective and are a waste of time. His daily quizzes are very easy as long as you read the book. Expect to do and learn everything on your own with very minimal help from him.
He is a fun teacher who is creative in his teaching style. Class may be a lecture, video, interview with a coach, outdoor activities, in-class presentations, etc.
He is great, my grade does not reflect the professor's abilities at all, I struggled with his tests, but learned a ton
Bro Chase is a really gods teacher. He takes different approaches to teach to help students understand. From watching videos and movies, physical observations, coach interviews, he does it all.
Bro Chase is a very good teacher, he uses different teaching skill and techniques to help hi students learn better. From watching videos and movies, physical observations, group work, to coaching interviews.
was a great teacher for this course and funny at times
He's generally understanding about different students strengths and weaknesses and tries to help students where they need it the most. Solid guy, however beware his midterm. It is far more challenging than any other test he gives.
Dr. Chase is super cool! He takes time to get to know each of his students and tries to help us how we are doing in class. He also gives out a lot of materials to study, not just relying on the book. Just a heads up: he gives quizzes before class starts, so come to class! But it is not as bad as you think it will be.
Greatly helps and care for us in class!
Brother Chase's EXS 369 Course explores the fundamentals of coaching and the challenges and adversity that coach face. The course is structured efficiently, balancing lectures, tests, and hands-on coach experience.
An awesome and very skilled professor who knows how to help students and participate. He is great at engaging with students and always supports them.
Be prepared to feel like you are drinking out of a fire hydrant. This class was incredibly overwhelming, and it is hard to feel like you have everything under control. Dr. Chase is a great guy, but not the greatest anatomy teacher. You have to read the entire chapter if you want to be prepared, and he doesn't curve anything. No matter the scores.
Hi is so nice and fun but, the anatomy is havey class. should read the textbook before class.
Great professor but hard class
This being a health class, and compared to the other health classes I have taken, it was ridiculous how test-heavy and assignment-heavy this class was. I felt like I was taking a 6 credit class, not a 3-credit class. Be prepared to go to class, read the entire chapter for the quiz at the start of class, and spend quite a bit of time on the class.
Great teacher, but the test we took in the testing center, was sort of irrelevant and hard for no reason.
Bro. Chase is a great professor. I learned a lot from the class lectures, guest speakers, and presentations but the tests are always difficult.
There are a lot of in class presentations and they are always a surprise so you gotta make sure you come. Read a lot of the textbook on your own because he does not cover a lot in class, powerpoint slides are very mid, and the tests sometimes have the most random questions that I feel like we never covered in class at all but were in the textbook.
Very relatable and fun class. Interesting material and great, fun professor. Good range of activities and differentiated assignments.
Fun class when you actually attend :)
Although Professor Chase is hilarious, entertaining, & smart, I really felt like this class was a challenge because of a lack of passion, knowledge, or experience for this specific subject. Almost anytime someone asked a question in class, he would respond by saying "Go look in the book. I don't know off the top of my head." Quizlet taught me more.
very good
He as an excellent teacher with a understanding of the topic better than most as he has experienced it all. Teaches mainly out of the book and loves to give one page assignments that over time get easier to write an increase your writing ability. Also creates in class learning moments form other students.
Professor Chase is a really caring teacher. He remember every student's name. Sometimes he will invite some gusts to the class to help answer some questions we might have about the topic we are learning. He also make our group presentation fun by grouping us different ways, so we know more about our classmates.
to get to read and memorize lot of descriptions from the chapter to take unit tests. In class quizzes which is attendance.
He is a clear teacher and makes the class fun.
Professor Chase makes sure that each class is engaging and interesting. There's a lot of material to cover in the textbook (for HLTH 369), but for the most part the most important aspects of the text are covered in class.
I think that this is a great class. Yes there is a lot of reading materials but group presentations for every chapters makes it a lot easier to learn and understand what is covered in the book. I totally recommend this class to whoever wants to take it in the near future.
He has a too bad so sad mentality. Do the work and you'll be fine. He doesn't compromise
Brother Chase is an awesome teacher! This was my favorite class this semester and its because Chase incorporates a variety of different teaching styles. His class is always funny but super informative!
Really nice teacher but be prepared to take a test in the testing center after every unit. He also doesn't provide a study guide for these unit tests. But everything else is easy and he is pretty lenient.
Professor Chase's class is engaging and informative. The material can be dense, but his teaching style, group activities, and use of guest speakers make it manageable. I found tools like unstuckstudy AI and the free textbook helpful for study prep.
Reading the textbook and doing the open-text quizzes before lectures felt overwhelming at first, but I learned a lot. Dr. Chase's teaching style is something I really love. The quizzes, class reviews, and presentations all help prepare us well for the unit tests, which in turn make final much easier. Jeopardy-style quiz—it made learning fun.
