This is my first time rating a professor but I had to do it. I loved this professor,! he's funny and gives good lecture, makes the class enjoyable and knows what he is talking about. I took him in the 8-week delivery and he did not give any homework.

Mr. Faust is the best TCC Professor Ive had to date! He is so much fun and cares deeply about his students! If you pay attention in class, ask questions, and use every resource he provides you should pass the class! Get ready for Clog dollars, Lyntt, and Bordera. You cant help but laugh while taking his tests. Watch the review videos!!

Mr. Faust was a really great lecturer and teacher. He's a very personal teacher, making you want to participate. However, his tests are difficult, especially if you don't participate. Whatever you do, DO NOT CHEAT, he will find out. Overall, fantastic economics teacher.

He's a very fun and goofy teacher. He tried his best to relate economics to real life and talk about situations that applies to our lives. He shares a lot of his own personal stories, and are usually funny and not boring. There was a huge relief when I found out the way he grades tests, but I'll let you find that out for yourself. :) TAKE HIM!

Professor Faust is a man with so much knowledge. I took this class in the summer and as a person who is terrible economics, I would suggest taking him. His lectures were very interesting he would go a bit off topic from time to time but somehow ties it up with his lectures. He gives the final on the first day.

The best. If you dont take this professor your honestly missing out. He such a fun and interactive teacher I wouldnt have taken this course from anybody else. He spent 4 hours with me and my brothers on helping us study for 1 test. Yeah, 4 HOURS!!!

Great class!

Teaches with visual aids, book is optional, but can help if you are having difficulty. Pleasant and amiable. Often calls for volunteers for in class participation. Has review videos and PowerPoints posted on blackboard. Note taking is recommended.

He is really good!

He is a very cool and chill professor. The only grades he takes are the test. There are 4 plus the final. You can drop the lowest grade out of these. You do quizzes every day which he gives the answers to use as a study guide.

Awesome professor! We had quizzes everyday but he always went over them and made sure no one was lost. Only grades are 5 tests and attendance and as long as you study for the tests and go over quizzes youll be fine! Hes super relatable and easy going and I actually enjoyed going to this class.

You're graded solely based off attendance (easy) and tests. He posts very specific review videos for these tests and gives out non-graded quizzes with questions that are very similar to test questions. Just pay attention and do some light studying and if you "get" econ you'll get an A. But even if this subject doesn't click for you - you'll pass.

Professor Faust is a great teacher! He gives you all the information you need to pass the tests, you just need to make sure you study and actually understand what is being taught as the tests can be a little difficult.

Helpful instructor.

He is overall a good teacher with simple grading criteria. Gives amazing lectures and use real life examples to help you understand better. Only downside is test is worth 80% of your grade. Which means if you fail all your tests with him, you're more likely to fail his class. Make sure to take good notes and study them and you should be fine.

Awesome Professor and great lectures. There is no homework but you have to pay attention and ask questions. The tests can be pretty hard if you dont study. He does everything he can to help you. Due to COVID-19 our class went to online and he did what he could to help us learn the material.

Gave out 2 extra credit opp. which was great if you skip class you will not pass. He hates cheating and makes it clear before every test. Highly recommend to go to SI tutoring it helps break down everything since it's alot of information. Quiz's are taken in class he doesn't grade them, 4 Test and 1 Final. Personal was the hardest class I've taken

He is an amazing prof! His cute lecture stories are funny, he relates his lectures to what's going on today. He offers quizzes (not graded) in class everyday which help TREMENDOUSLY! All his tests/quizzes he makes himself, they are kinda tough, they make you think, not always multi choice. He did offer 2 EC options which bumped me up a letter grade

even with the change of this semester due to Covid19 I still managed to get a high b. he answered emails quickly and kept the online class very simple. even when we were in a regular setting he was great he made sure all questions are answered before moving on. he was very honest when it came to grades

Good lecturer, if you skip a day you miss a lot of info. Difficult test, however, if you do everything you can and still have trouble he will work with you.

Mr. Faust is a great Econ professor. His tests are a bit hard but as long as you study and ask questions you will be fine. Hes also very accessible and offers tutoring so you always have resources. Amazing lectures and his lectures are comedic. Participation is a must but he makes it fun! Definitely would take him again!

Mr. Faust was one of the best professors that I have had this semester. Despite the impact which Covid-19 had on the class, he was able to make the class easy to digest and also offered opportunities for extra credit. As long as you put some effort into the class, you should be able to come out of the class with a B.

Professor Faust is absolutely the best professor I have ever had, I will genuinely miss him. He is caring, kind, funny, and can be a little odd, but in a really good and funny way. He gives you the final at the beginning of class and will help you with it throughout the year. The first test is rough, but it's much better after. Strongly recommend.

Professor Faust is a great professor! He encourages his students to be engaged in his lectures and makes it so that they feel comfortable asking questions. He likes to tell jokes during lectures which helps you stay awake if you take his morning class! He wants you to succeed and does his best to help students but you should make sure to study too!

He is hands down one of the best econ professors out there. He made the subject understandable and often hilarious. His examples are relatable and funny, and he puts a lot of effort into reaching students with all types of learning styles. I would strongly recommend you take him for econ.

This class is highly recommended for an online course! There is absolutely no homework and you can work at your own pace. Faust will send detailed emails in response to any and every question you have. Macro is a hard class period! So yes the test are hard by nature but this teacher LOVES his job and makes this class fun and easy to follow.

Great professor to have. Always avaliable to ask questions and even provided extra tutoring if needed. Along with lessons, he also has YouTube channel where he covers topics in case you need a refresher or missed something in class. I would definitely retake this professor's class

AMAZING PROF! Offers tons of EC! His in person lectures are funny and relatable to today's events. He creates all his over test questions, so no you won't find anything on quizlet (as of now) He offers quizzes (not graded) at the end of each class which help TREMENDOUSLY with learning the material! I have tried another ECON prof before too TAKE HIM

Mr. Faust wrote his lectures in word and used YouTube videos from different sources, himself included, to back up his notes. VERY TEST HEAVY and when I say that I mean you'll have 5 tests, lowest test score is dropped. All quizzes are also in word doc and he gives you the answer key. So your grade is 100% your test average. Online classes SUCK!

Great professor. There are some challenges keeping up and viewing all of the YouTube videos - but he is clearly doing the best he can. Do the work as best possible and be ready for some trickier questions on the tests and you will be fine. Not a blow-off class, but also very manageable. Really enjoyed his class.

One of the best Professor I have had to this date. His lessons are on a word doc and youtube videos. there are only 5 reals grades in this class which are a test but that doesn't make it hard it's much easier as the test is similar to the quiz and If you watch all of his videos and follow the lesson plan there is no way you will make below a 90.

Prof. Faust really had me getting into ECON. The lectures were awesome (a mix of written and short youtube videos), with relatable examples and plenty of concept practice. You are able to work at your own pace, and tests are open note (notes REALLY do help). There are also AWESOME extra credit options (one is a fun game) that helps your grade!

Prof. Faust is genuinely a great person. He is truly dedicated and attentive to his course and students. Yes the class is tough but he gives so many extra credit opportunities. Also not to mention, he helps us with the final. Such a great instructor.

Mr. Faust Is the best professor I have had during the pandemic. His material was manageable and pushed you to learn the subject and familiarized yourself with it. Mr. Faust's material is updated, uses real-world situations, and hides insight jokes that make the work even more enjoyable.

This class was well organized. He gives little practice quizzes after each lesson to make sure you understood what he taught. You HAVE HAVE HAVE to read if you want to pass. This class will NOT be easy if you don't study. He also gives opportunities for extra credit, which helps a lot! Make sure to read each lesson carefully if you want to pass!

This teacher is very passionate and cares about all his students. He will give you feedback and actually help you with your tests if you ask. There is an online textbook that was free, and even though there was a lot of reading, you can go at your own pace (as long as u don't go too slow). Took this class during the covid pandemic.

Professor Faust was a good professor, after I personally reached out to him! Biggest struggle in this class was that it was all test based, & I do not perform well on. BUT, if you are a good test taker, this is a great class for you. The wording is hard for me to understand, but if tests don't bother you, you'll do great. He is a super nice guy!

Took Prof. Faust for Macro, and again (on purpose) for Micro. I really enjoyed this class, and the lectures. Tests can be difficult, but you are able to use your notes from lecture, which is generous. There are also several extra credit options, and Prof. is very responsive to emails and provides lots of feedback. The finals workshop is great too!

Mr. Faust was great! He provided multiple extra credit activities and a clear structure for on an online class so you wont fall behind. Good blend of structure and flexibility to be able to get through the semester. Very responsive to emails and is a good lecturer, even for online!

Professor Faust is super entertaining; makes learning Econ not as boring :-) He uses many of his own personal experiences & techniques to get the information across in a way that is understandable. Responds to communications very quickly. This is not an easy class by any means. You must watch videos, listen to lectures and review web links.

Professor Faust teaches from the perspective that the class should fit the students, not the other way around. He presents course material in a very concise and clear way, and is always available to answer questions. His online class sessions are open to the students to set the agenda, whether it be general questions or test preparation.

I wish I could have him in all my courses. Course assignments+lectures are engaging+fun w/ his lively personality+unique course content. The methods he used to administer his assignments highlighted his goal of ensuring that you are learning rather than stressing about an A. Even with life issues Faust made it possible to succeed. Mr. Faust is a dream economics professor. In spite of the class being online, it was obvious that he loves the subject, loves teaching, and cares about his students. Lectures were typed Word docs (that were actually very engaging and clear) with video links for further explanation. Tests were open note, helping you learn as you test. Take him!!!

I highly recommend Prof. Faust for macro and micro. I took him during the summer, so the class was fully online, but he did a great job communicating with his students. His class is solely focused on lectures and exams. It's definitely manageable and if you ever need help he was there at all times. We used the textbook a couple of times. TAKE HIM!!

Benjamin Faust loves learning and it shows! If you put the effort into reading and the material and practicing the formulas you will get a good grade. Would highly recommend taking this class.

Mr. Faust obviously knows and loves economics. Took Macro as an online summer class. Lots of information, taught through videos, stories, and light reading. Tests and quizzes were open resource, though I felt well prepared. Will definitely take Faust again for Micro and would recommend him!

Prof. Faust is a wonderful professor. I took his 4 week summer class & learned A LOT. I really valued that he doesn't make you read a textbook & regurgitate it back. He broke everything down in a way where you can understand & apply it in real life. Tests are hard & challenging but it's b/c he wants us to apply the things he's teaching! TAKE HIM!

I loved his class. If you aren't good with taking your own notes you should learn for this class. He lectures over topics and gives quizzes that aren't graded so you can use them to study. You are mainly taught through lectures and he will help with notes but not the whole way. Grades were only tests and PAQ but gives extra credit.

He really loves teaching and gives you plenty of time to ask questions and makes sure you understand. Take your time to study and read the quiz to retain the information.

I took Mr. Faust for macroeconomics and I loved his class. His lectures are fun and exciting and if you get involved in his lectures you will have a better time at passing his class.

He's just amazing really caring and funny and he teach economics with things we can relate. The quizzes are really helpful because most of the questions you will see on the test.

Mr. Faust is honestly one of the best economic professors! Most economic professors Ive come across are stuffy and boring, but Mr. Faust is the opposite! Hes super engaging with the class and is always down to explain concepts in different ways so everyone can understand. If you need this class, take him!

I am not a fan of school and had zero interest in economics. I not only enjoyed this class but now really like econ. Mr. Faust has very engaging lectures and pauses for stories and questions regularly. He uses real world examples and funny topics to make it easy to remember the material. also super responsive to emails and around for office hours

He has a deep understanding in what he is teaching. Exams are a little bit hard. Make sure you go over all his lectures in class. Good thing is extra credit. It's really help.

Mr. Faust is no doubt my favorite professor. His lectures are always interesting and sometimes go off tangent, but usually relate to topics discussed. He is knowledgeable about the subject and especially of current events. I mainly took him just to fulfill my econ credit but left wanting to take him for 2301 but I transferred to a tech school :L

Professor Faust is an amazing teacher and very understanding. He lectures quite a bit but keeps it engaging and fun. He gives out material and worksheets mostly every day for you to practice what you learned the prior day. Use those worksheets to your advantage because they are great material to look back on when you are studying for his tests.

I was dreading economics but this class ended up being my favorite class! Faust is very understanding of economics being a somewhat boring subject and does everything in his power to make it more exciting. The tests can be a little challenging but you'll be fine as long as you study the quizzes. If you have to take econ, take Faust!

Mr. Faust is an easygoing teacher with a good sense of humor. He constantly asks the class questions during his lectures to make sure that we are all on the same page and most days he will assign us to groups so that we can better practice the economic concepts.

Study for test, show up and participate & you should get a easy A, I just slacked off the last month. Other than that Faust is awesome and I enjoyed learning through him.

Mr. Faust is knowledgeable. Be on time for class. Extra credit is at the end of semester. 2 group projects. Mr. Faust gave helpful quizzes for every lessons. Make sure you review all the quizzes and notes in class before each exam and you will be fine.

3 exams in total and those are tough. Be ready to attend class since he counts the participation as part of your grade. The final is a group project not comprehensive. Do the extra credit guys, even though it's a bit hard but he gives 50% of the exam grade. Overall, a great professor and he makes going to class at 8:00 am worth every second.

This was my second Econ class with Mr. Faust and I am as pleased as I was the first semester. Mr. Faust was a large reason I continued college my first semester. Professors like this are hard to come by. Highly Recommended!

Mr.Faust is a great teacher, very energetic and cares for his students. This class is very dependent on your attendance if you miss a lecture it can be hard to keep up.

Mr. Faust's teaching style is very flexible. He sticks to a fairly structured lecture format. However, if a student wants an example or has something to add, he is more than capable of switching tracks to provide extra details. He speaks fast, includes humor, and is clear and concise. You'll think about your answers instead of being handed them.

I loved this professor and the class. Attendance is mandatory in his class and he will points off your final grade if you have too many tardy or absences, but he is very clear about this from the beginning. He grades off only a few assignments and has virtually no homework. He works with his students and wants to see them excel.

He is very nice and caring. As long as you attend the class and review the quizzes that he gives out during the class you'll be fine. I memorized the quizzes cause the tests had similar questions. I was dealing with a lot of stuff, but he makes his class manageable and cares for his students. I failed the last exam but ended up with an A.

Great teacher. Wish I had him for Macro, I wouldn't have had to catch up in Micro. I suggest taking him for both and make sure to take notes during lecture.

For me, him being able to easily access articles and statistics on certain topics off his head on the spot made it easier for me to grasp and practically apply. Pretty easy class just show up and pay attention. Final is easy. 1 drop test grade, gotta study for tests but you have stuff to study off of.

Professor is energetic, engaging, and fun! Participation matters greatly, but I personally looked forward to class every session. He uses real-world examples and allows the students to engage with the lecture, making the classroom energetic. I wish more professors were like that. I would 100% retake him if I could.

In my course it was a 3 hour lecture but somehow never felt long and was really helpful to prepare for exams.

I loved this teacher and I'm sad that the class is already ending! I will say studying is VERY important for this class so grab a coffee or energy drink because the lectures are very long.

The professor has a great teaching style that engages students with relatable and amusing examples while conveying the material precisely and clearly. This is an excellent approach to teaching as it helps students understand and retain information more easily.

Mr. Faust is knowledgeable about the subject, encourages participation, more than willing to work with you as long as you speak with him, gives you every opportunity to succeed, and no book! His teaching style relies more on application and understanding of the subject matter rather than just memorization which was amazing and refreshing to see.

Overall a fairly easy class, Professor Faust did a great job with teaching us the content and connecting with the students, Beware this course is very simple but it is your responsibility to be prepared for classes and exams. Would take again.

If you participate in class and watch the videos you should do fairly well. He will challenge you though so don't expect it to be a breeze.

I appreciate that this professor tries new things and modifies along the way to improve student experience. However need to improve his ability to communicate online and how his class looks online. As it it bare bones with little info beyond announcements of certain kinds.

This has been the absolute best professor I have taken a class with. His class i can say is of moderate difficulty but just be sure to watch his videos and pay attention when he discusses the quizzes. He is fun, hilarious, and he experiments with new stuff to keep the class fresh. Just be ready for the test because he loves to put trick questions.

Funny down to earth teacher that clearly communicates and talked to the students like they proper adults not children. Shares videos for students to study on their own time and is very fun when giving lectures

Faust is a wonderful professor! The only homework is to watch videos on the topics that will be on the quiz the next day. Grades are mostly based on tests but they are pretty easy because it has some questions from the quizzes. Also have assigned group throughout the whole semester which I found very helpful. Impossible to fail. Take this class!!!

A little frustrating at times, but always helpful. He puts everyone into groups at the start of semester and every day we had quizzes. Just watch the videos he gives for lecture and take notes on those and you should be fine. Go over the quizzes when you have a unit test because he takes questions from those to use on tests. Would take again.

Faust is a perfect example on being an amazing interactive professor. He did not make the lectures boring or hard, he will make the lectures interesting and easy. Just pay attention on the videos and during the lectures, and you'll be fine. Also, STUDY, it will pay off when it comes to the exams and don't be afraid to stay quiet, speak your mind.:)

He is very good at conveying things in an understandable way and is surprisingly very funny. You basically do the learning outside of class with videos and then take quizzes in class with your group (which you will be with the whole semester) and that is a big part of your grade so it can be luck of the draw with teammates. Overall very fun class.

He's really laid back but really big on attendance. He does little quizzes everyday and a big test every month but as long as you do the homework; which is to watch some videos and take notes, you'll be fine.

Really good professor would take again, quizzes every day but most of them you can take with your team (3-5 people) and the whole class. ( my class got a 100 every day) . Learned a lot but beware this is a flipped class room if thats not your thing .

Gives great example questions to prepare for exam

The reverse classroom was weird at first but ended up being a great way for to look back and study. Definitely my favorite teacher! Will definitely take again if I need micro.

Mr. Faust is a very good professor who makes the material easy to learn and relates it to your everyday life. There isn't a textbook but in your syllabus, there are videos posted that relate to each day as your "outside reading" and a subsequent quiz. There are also a couple group projects but they are easily doable in a week. Loved this class!!

Very engaging, honestly one of the best professors on campus. Class isn't difficult if you just participate and watch the videos prior to classes.

Great teacher overall Uses feedback from students to change his way of teaching, if need be. For “homework” there are lecture videos and you come back to class for a quiz. His grading system is pretty awesome. Most of them time you can expect to be graded as a class. It's fun. The exams are fair as long as you participants and study the quizzes.

It's very hard to FAIL this class. Mr. Faust gives so many opportunities to boost up your grade, not to mention simplifying the course material. Although, you must watch the required videos before quizzes as they are necessary in order to pass them. But the videos for each quiz isn't longer than an hour at most.

In his class we are given lecture videos to watch prior to our next session as well as practice questions which we can use as study tools. When we meet we open up with a short quiz, which we then discuss in class to gain better understanding of the material. As long as you study the material given and take notes you will pass the class.

He's really interesting and funny, I felt very engaged in the class every day. I will say that you will need to watch his videos because he has class quizzes every day but as long as you watch the videos and take notes the class is very easy to pass and to understand.

He teaches in a flipped classroom style meaning you watch youtube videos and learn yourself at home before class and in class you'll take a daily quiz with the help of your group of about 4 other people. He'll then clear any confusion afterwards. The grading is also very clear in what he expects but unfortunately no notes allowed on the exam.

If you want to be good in class, just take note while watching the video. Don't be late in class, every single min you late the shorter time you have to do the quiz. Be on time if you want the full amount time to do the quiz.

I took Professor Faust for macro and micro and he was awesome! Definitely one of the best professors I've had. Just participate in your groups and study the quizzes for your exams and you'll be good! I definitely recommend!

You are assigned a group at the beginning of the semester and you're with them the whole year. You do quizzes and like one project together. You watch videos outside of class then quiz on them when you get to class. Then you take the quiz with your team then with the whole class. Exams are almost copy/paste from the quizzes

It's a different style of class that puts emphasis on looking at the material outside of class and putting into practice in the class room. He makes class fun and is very fair and clearly lays out what the class will be like and how to prepare.

Professor Faust is a very good teacher, always is funny and engaging. This class is a flipped class, so lectures are short 15-30 minutes of videos before every class, so most class time is collaborative work or in class quizzes. Just show up to class, participate and study what he tells you too and you will get an A. Great course and professor.

Mr. Faust's class is fast paced and group heavy. The group and class work holds the students accountable. His classroom is a reverse class so the lectures are at home and the homework is in class. If that is not your style of learning I don't recommend. I throughly enjoyed taking this class and have a much better understanding of economics.

Really explains material well. Very forgiving when it comes to having an answer wrong. Almost impossible to fail given the format of the class and how much you collaborate with classmates.

Mr. Faust is a very fun and quirky teacher he can ramble a little but is always fun to talk with. This class was a great experience. It's a hybrid class, so you watch the lectures at home, but do the work in class. You work through everything together as a class, and he explains anything that's not understood.

This is the best and most interactive class I've taken. The teacher is attentive, makes economics fun,and keeps everything organized. It's the only class where I haven't had to email for updates he always communicates clearly. Test material is covered in class and easy to study, making it very manageable to succeed. Great class there's a quiz every class over the homework(easy as long as you study the videos). If you're confused he breaks it down and helps you understand.

Mr. Faust is a good professor. You will be in groups in the beginning of the semester until the end, so no need to feel left out. If you don't like it then this may not be for you. The only thing I did not like was the individual quiz. Other than that, I enjoyed the lectures after the quizzes were done.

I've taken both macro and micro with Mr. Faust and the flipped classroom setup is very nice and convenient it is easy to follow and take notes at your own pace. The daily quizzes are a good chunk of the 3 major test making study pretty easy. The only coin flip for this class is your group you are assigned at the start but overall a wonderful class.

He is a down to Earth professor. I was slightly intimidated at the beginning but once we got going it was good.He is fair. Yes, alot of quizzes but those will help with the exam. You are in groups for the semester. He will relate and make sure you understand the material. He provided all components to be successful.

Reverse teaching method, so you learn outside the class with very easy to follow videos that you write notes for. (You can use them for the pop quizzes everyday) Graded by the small quiz everyday that you use notes then group talk then class wide discussion where at the end it gets graded. Class is super easy as long as you put a little effort.

Mr. Faust has a flipped classroom, yes, and he gave us very good videos to watch at home and there would be a sort of “group quiz” on most days. I liked this because it really forced me to think through the answers not just why it's right, but how can I persuade the group, and that caused some really good debate. Overall a great class and a great teacher. You will almost always have homework videos, but it never takes to much time out of your day. The quizzes in class can be challenging, but you get to go over them with your group and class before the entire class gets graded together. The exams are also pretty challenging, but are same as the quizzes.

Not much more to say with all the 200 5 star reviews. They are all very true! Mr. Faust is an engaging and fun professor. The one thing I don't see much that I will add is that the 3 exams are very high stakes. Some can be difficult. He gives an optional final which replaces the lowest exam grade, and that optional final is MUCH easier.
