Mr. Kamper is so awesome! I could not have asked for a better teacher for english 101. This class isn't easy, you have to work. But this is the only class I actually look forward to going to. He makes things interesting and makes you want to learn! Love him! i wish i would of known he taught eng 102. i already signed up for eng102 online. :(

Mr. Kamper is a good instructor. There does seem to be a fair amount of work required, but students also learn the right way of writing. This is a fairly easy "A": Do the weekly work, he is an easy grader on the essays and there are no tests or finals.

Kamper is a great teach with an even greater sense of humor. He relates well with students. You do have to put in the work but doing so will pretty much guarantee an A. Even for a 7:00 AM class he will wake you up and get you interested.

A good teacher. Even if he'd rather be off writing fiction, he brings a rare level of enthusiasm and interest in students and their work. Generally makes class interesting, and a fairly easy "A" (keep up on weekly assignments). He is not without weaknesses (he is bad about grading/handing work back) but he recognizes that and cuts students slack

Mr. Kamper doesn't explain his assignments very well, but if you ask him what to do he will help you to understand. He grades very hard I and it is impossible to get an A on any homework assignment in his class. Other than this he is a great teacher who the students can relate to well.

Mr. Kamper is amazing! He's what I was hoping to find at college. He treats us like real functioning people, which, judging from the prior comments on him, some people weren't ready for. Please don't listen to those idiots and think that he is this tough teacher who wants you to fail. He gets you to work and think, which is what you are paying for.

Be prepared to work in Kamper's classes. Writing assignments are given at the beginning of every class. Essay assignments are purposefully vague to make you work things out on your own. Do not be afraid to approach him for help, or to go to the writing center! He is a great teacher- you just have to do the work and actually think critically.

I would never recommend this class to anyone! This teacher is rediculous! His class involved lots of pointless writing and the directions are never clear and the essays that he wants rarely made any since. He always wanted above and beyond work and graded incrediably hard. He expects that everyone enjoys writing and he is mistaken.

Kamper is a good teacher who I would reccomend. He expects quality work, which isn't unreasonable in a college level class. It is telling that most of the negative reviews have poor grammar or misspelled words (I'm just saying those people are dumb, that's all).

Kamper is a so so teacher, he grades ridiculously hard! easy to relate to him, but hard to understand him. He does pick favorites in the class. This is a teacher that teaches with passion. He loves what he does and has a unique way of engaging with the class to make it fun and interesting. You won't get an easy A. You will get what you put into into the class. If you do nothing, you won't pass. If you try hard, you will succeed, he will make sure of that.

Mr. kamper is not an easy teacher at all, but he has a lot of passion toward the class! he loves to teach and love to be in class! he is very helpful and will always answer your questions. To get an A in Mr. kampers class is very hard you have to be ready to do all the work and be on top of things. he is not an easy class and very challenging.

Mr. Kamper was a great teacher and i appreciated his help after class. Although this last summer 102 class was VERY challenging i still did pretty good, all you need to do is focus and have fun with it!

I think being in his class did help with my english skills. Expect NO SLACK from Mr. Kamper at any time. Summer class or not, expectations are the same. if you do the work, you will pass simple as that. his humor is dry but engage in class and it will go smoothly. dont sign up if your looking to coast by

Kind of a Rude. Quite a perfectionist with tons of homework. There has always been quantity vs quality since the dawn of time, and he doesn't get that. Expect 2 essays a day done perfectly.

Have heard poor things from other students but was only class available. Rude to say the least. Constantly belittles his students if they do not draw the same conclusions from the reading he does.

Mr. Kamper is a bada**. he is rude yes, but also one of the best teachers i have yet to encounter in college. he tells you straight up if your paper sucks and what you need to work on. he takes no mercy and that is what a great teacher does. he is the best and if you say otherwise, your lousy student. :)

If you're looking for a slack off class, this one is not for you. However, if you're looking to actually benefit from a course and are willing to work hard, I highly recommend Kamper! His expectations are clear and requirements non-negotiable, but he was my most dedicated instructor this semester. This class was leaps and bounds above the rest.

He is a very down to earth person. He is very direct about what he expects in order to make a grade in his class. Go in with an open mind and take something from the experience instead of complaining how hard it is.

Welcome to college. You are have work for an A. The negative comments on here are from students that don't know how to take initiative and think this is high school. If you slack, your grade will reflect that. I enjoyed this class thoroughly and I know that Mr. Kamper is a devoted instructor who cares about the success of his students. Fun class!

Mr. Kamper is an amazing teacher, but if you aren't willing to put in work to get a good grade you should definitely switch teachers. This was without a doubt the best english class I have ever taken and you will learn a lot.

Trust me on this: Kamper is a great teacher. He asks lots of questions to the class so they understand (instead of just telling information). I learned a LOT in his class. The bad: extremely hard, a lot of homework. I had a full time semester and spent 3/4 of my time on his class. Lots of essays. Can be rude, but witty so don't ask dumb questions.

Kamper is such a precise teacher. He tells you what he wants and he expects that in return. His class does have quite a work load but believe me in the end you will come out of this class having learned how to write any kind of paper. He will call you out on anything and don't try and half @$$ your way through the class because you will fall.

Mr. Kamper is a really good instructor, he knows how to get students to grow as writers. However, if you want to be a slacker all semester and remain a meteyoker writer, don't take his class. An A in another course is a C in his, so don't say I didn't warn you. He can also be really disrespectful, so be careful with stupid questions.

I was in his class in 2010. He may be a better person by now but I doubt it. He would verbally attack his students everyday. He treated everyone like they were idiots. His expectations did not even come close to meeting his clarity. Never had a professor I've disliked more. I dropped his class and my next English professor was 100 times better.

Take his class if you really wanna grow as a writer and improve your style of writing. He’s good at challenging you and won’t take bulls@$t work from you. thats the good side but the bad side is that he’s disrespectful to his students and makes smart ass remarks to you. so fear asking dumb questions. lot of homework and reading

I'm always surprised by college students who are shocked by the fact that they do, in fact, have to do work. I loved Kamper's class because it was clear and concise and I learned a great deal from it. It's an English class, so expect to have to write. I would recommend to any college student who wants a promising future in writing.

Mr. Kamper was fun, tough and knows how to teach English. He makes you work insanely hard and it honestly took up more time that all my other classes combined. I agree that he seems hostile but I believe it's just because he doesn't like laziness or excuses. I started with a D in his class and at the end I got the highest grade on the final. Tough.
