He knows very much about Cost Accounting. However, I made the mistake of taking him over the summer--this is a very intense course in too short a time. His tests are short, so if you mess up a couple, you will mess up the grade. He does curve, though.

I took with him accounting 2 and 5. I thing his classes are easy and tasts also. if you stady hard tasts are not a problem at all. (no surprises)

Tests are straight forward and based on the homeworks. No surprises or tricky questions.

I like him. The tests were fair. If you do your homework and listen to him in class you will get an A

Gives lots of examples and practice for understanding how accounting works. Gives a good outline b4 the test and his tests require a good head for math and commom sense, but very fair.Do the homework and you should be fine.

I think he's underrated. if u read BEFORE class, you'll understand what he's saying. He goes over the hw and gives a GOOD outline bfor the test. Any1 not willing to read or study for acct 2 shouldnt be an acct major anyway. Tests are kinda hard, but so what the CPA exam is hard too. This is an extemely difficult class, and he teaches the way the subjest is, however the clarity and helpfulness is impecable. Very difficult exams, but hey you're in college. Very recommended.

do the homework, review the outline he gave you. Test is not that hard. I took acc2, end with A+. Easy professor and he knows his materials very well. If you just want to sit in the classroom and do nothing, please don't dream to get A and major in accounting.

he gives out outlines for 2 mid-terms and 1 final. he reviews all the HW in the class and is v willing to answer all questions. a v responsible and hard-working professor. he knows his stuff v well and always write on the board v clearly and neatly. take his class and u can learn a lot from him. MUST DO HW AND COME TO CLASS! Don't dream to receive

He is a decent professor. Not the best and not the worst. He is very clear and you should be easily able to understand him. Grading is a little strict but the tests are very fair. Not easy but you should be able to do well enough. Homework is completely optional but I recommend doing it as it makes the class easier.

He is a good teacher with real life experience on the subject matter. He worked as a managerial accountant in a sweater factory, uses helpful examples from his work there (he knows his stuff). Be careful to copy down HW problems that he goes over in class because he uses those exact problems and just changes the numbers. Nice guy

Excellent professor! He teaches very clearly and painstakingly reviews all of the homework problems in depth on the board, preparing you for the test! Exams are a little challenging but not really hard, there's hw nightly but it's not collected. Would definitely take another class with him!

your wisest choice for acct10! its a hard class and you dont have many options here. but he is very clear and knows how to teach the material. tries to make his tests as simple and fair as he can. go for it

He is a great professor and is very clear when he teaches. Acctg 10 is a hard class but he does a good job of teaching the material.

I took him for Acct 10 and Acct 11. He basically spoon feeds you all the material and then gives you an awesome review what could you expect on his test. Final is cumulative but its from the first 2 test and at the end of semester curves to a little.

He's really a nice guy! He explains the problem clearly, even I was an international student, I could understand it totally. Do the homework and go over it throughly and you will be fine. Follow his methods to solve the problems, getting A is really not hard

This professor is the best professor in the accounting department! This is my second time taking him for class and I would take him for any acct classes that he teaches. Very clear and is always open to answering questions. His tests are VERY fair and are only based on what was covered in class. He is also very kind and an all around great person!

I took him for multiple courses. I would say that his tests are quite tough, so you will have to prepare extensively for them. He is very clear and thorough. Doing the hw before the lesson will help you understand more quickly. Studying the hw questions will help a lot for the test.

I think Langer is the best Accounting Prof. in Brooklyn College. If you're taking advanced level classes I'm assuming you have ambitions of actually becoming an accountant and CPA. Yes he gives tough tests, but he makes up for it by basically giving us a complete outline of the test. You're going to actually need to study and learn something.

he give homework,but never check them, he does all homework and explain them well, first two tests consist of problems not multiple choice but the final exam is a combination of multiple choice and problems, no extra credit, but you get to learn a lot from the class, if you attend the class and follow his homework, it's an easy A

Professor Langer is one of the best accounting professor. His lectures are crystal clear. He goes over homework problems in class and make sure you pay attention in class otherwise you will be lost. Exams are straight forward, as long as you study hard and pay attention in class you will be fine

2 midterms (25% each) and final (50%). You will learn a lot and won't fall asleep like in your other classes. He tells you exactly what will be on the exam. Just study what he does on the board and do the homework. Cool professor. Easy A.

This prof is great. I took him for advanced accounting. He made the lectures easy to understand. Tests were based on HW. Definitely will take him for cost accounting

Langer is the of the best professor for advance accounting class. Clear, organized and detailed lectures. Yes, his tests are lit bit tricky but nothing what he didn't cover during class. Do HW, review all his notes and you will be fine. Nothing impossible.

Given 3 exams- final cumulative. His notes are your life.

Prof Langer is truly a great professor. He cares about his students and is readily available for help during office hours. He makes class interesting with his old school stories. His exams are not difficult put in the time to study for a few days and do the homework problems over and over again you will find his class is not difficult at all.

Langer is great, his exams are a replica of the examples he goes over in class, I never read the book I just did the problems and mastered them and was able to do very well. He cares about his students and is willing to go out of his way to help you. Take Langer if you can!

Don't take if you care about GPA. Tests similar to homework; sometimes with difficult things added which make you question if he showed what he's asking in class. If you get a few multiple choice wrong you will already be at like an 80 for the test if you get any mistakes on free response. Good lectures, makes material easier to understand.

I have taken Professor Langer for multiple accounting courses at Brooklyn College. He uses examples from the book that are almost identical to the CPA exam. If you are aspiring to become a CPA then this is the class you want to be in. The way he explains problems will stay with you forever. I am really glad I took his courses.

The practice problems are similar to the questions on the exam. He also explains the material well that you can understand even if you didn't read the textbook. The workload is light 2 midterms and a final. As long as you understand the practice problems this class should be an easy A

Great professor, uses textbook but doesn't require us to have it, if you want and you are a person that need to do the reading buy it. Posts questions and answers to them on bb. no hw, Ask him questions he likes to interact with students, easy going, old, and respected man, head of accounting department. STUDY and A guaranteed!
