Professor Ben was cool very laid back and his expectations were clearly established prior to the beginning of class. Test were tough if you did not prepare, yet the book was very useful. I would recommend him. He used alot of different techniques (i.e. videos, mock therapy sessions etc.) to get his point across. Recommended

He was very knowledgeable, used videos which were boring at times but very helpful to the course. The journals were a little annoying to write every week but they are between 1-3 pages so it was easy just repetitive. He makes class interesting and enjoyable and is open to suggestions for the class.Straight forward honest person strongly recommend

Benji is by far one of the best teachers the psych department. I took him my senior year and left with knowledge that I never knew I could gain in school. Through the videos and questionaires you get to know what kind of therapist you would be. The in class therapy sessions we had really let people know if they had what it takes to be in the field.

Other than that he is a caring professor i did learn a lot I had learn how to overcome of my fears talking in public he is a fantastic professor only one exam at the end of the semester.

You must take Benj while youre at WPU! Hes extrememly involved with his students. You actually learn valuable life skills and he genuinely cares about the growth of each of his students. Hes honest and so smart! Definitely take him and go to all his classes. You wont regret it, he doesnt make it feel like work.

This class is the most influential class that I have ever taken at WPU. This class felt like a graduate level class, we were exposed to the basic info about multiple thearaputic techniques while being shown videos of how these techniques were practiced. It truly provided me with useful knowledge that I know I will use in my future! Prof is the best

Great Counseling and Psychotherapy introduction class. You will learn about different therapists and different approaches. If you want to be a therapist one day please take this class, he speaks from experience and is very funny prof. I would take this class if I were you.

Benji is amazing! Class graded heavily on participation and weekly write ups. One small paper at the end and a group project. Mid term was very hard but he generously curves it. Final was on what you have learned. Definitely take him if you get the chance you will not regret it.

Really enjoyed taking group dynamics. This course gives you the opportunity to learn more about yourself through others. My classmates and I still keep in touch, which shows how much this course impacted us. A midterm, final, weekly journals, and a group presentation. If you do not want to get personal or socialize, then this class is not for you.

I love professor Leibowitz. He was a great help in the classroom setting. And the class was a great and different experience. I enjoyed the class a lot and was able to grow more as a person within the class as well as learning the dynamics of a group.

Benjy is someone who really cares about his students. He is one of the few teachers who leads a class in a circle where the whole class faces each other and encourages discussion. Each student is active, whether listening or talking, and it is a lot more engaging of a class because of this. It's nice to be in a class where we can learn & have fun.

Taking this class I just thought would be another boring class. I was able to talk about things I didn't even know was bottled in. I was able to make friends with my peers well now family, to be honest. I would definitely recommend this class if you want a different setting as well as learning about yourself more in-depth and those around you

I didnt know what to expect prior to this class but I do know that this was the best experience Ive ever had in my college career. Benji helped me learn more about myself and my peers. I allowed myself to be open with others and learned what its like to be in group. Im extremely thankful that I took this class and making new friends!!!

He is a great guy, you can tell he is experienced in what he is teaching and wants his students to learn from each class. Homework was 1 journal each week reflecting the class in your opinion. Midterm, Final, and a 10p paper. He is a little slow when it comes to technology, but it brings humor to the class. He enjoys getting feedback from students.

I took Professor Benji in the fall of 2019 for group dynamics, unfortunately the university doesnt offer this class with Professor Benji anymore. I decided to take this class for the spring semester because he is such a great professor! So caring and loves what he does! If you get a chance to take him you wont regret it. TAKE HIM!!
