He is a good teacher. There are a lot of notes to take in class so don't miss any day. He is a really funny guy so it wont be hard to go to class. You will enjoy his class

He changed my life...Profesor Stefonik taught and might still be teaching human sexuality. I believe EVERYONE should be required to take this class! He opened my eyes to a whole new world! I highly recommend him!!!! I wouldn't wanna take this course with out him!

AMAZING! Take his human sexuality class. It is fun and relaxed, yet hillarious and serious at the same time. He is there to educate, not to judge. Students tell stories and we all have discussions. No busy work- he does give quizzes and papers, so study up. Large focus on biology in first half of class. Must take.

Human Sexuality. Class started off a bit slow, but became fun and interesting. Mostly powerpoint slides/lecture. Quizzes, short papers, midterm and final. Requires studying basic material weekly to get an A, plus studying for midterm and final. Takes attendence daily. Ben is a cool guy and we laughed a lot. Lots of videos and radio clips, too.

Professor Stefonik is insightful, thoughtful, engaging, approachable, and overall wonderful. He makes the class material fun, and encourages thoughtful discussions. He is more than willing to meet with you, and will really go out of his way to ensure your success. He?s one of the best professors that I?ve ever had and I highly recommend him.

Stefonik seems to have a clear teaching style that lays out all the information for students who are willing to pay attention and digest it. You can cruise through his class in a low-key corner, but to have the full experience of being in one of his classes, spend a little time with his assignments and think about the questions he asks.

This was his 1st quarter teaching this class so he still needs to fine tune it. I found that he is not helpful when you ask him for help (i.e. studying tips, looking over papers, etc.) but he does try to be available. We did not refer to the book at all in class. As long as you follow his guidelines, you'll succeed in this class.

I took the human sexuality class. And he made it very fun by including personal stories and having the class participate. The class itself is interesting but he made it more interesting. He does't appreciate side conversations so don't get caught. Make sure you review the material afterclass.

He is an awesome guy and made me interested in the subject matter (psyc of prejudice and discrimination). i went to class everyday and studied for exams but still ended up with a b in the class after extra credit. the two papers for the quarter are grade hard, but not unfair. overall, good class.

Very interesting for an introductory class! Also easy A! Just come to class, participate in class discussions as much as you can, and study mostly from his powerpoints for quizes/exams. This class was very easy for me but it seemed the rest of the class had some trouble (C's and B's). Papers weren't hard to write either, just read carefully

Hands down best teacher I've ever had in college. why? 1) creative- at one point we had to simulate driving and he told us we'd all crash. 2) fair- everyone opinion is valid- class discussion is more valuable then the book.3) approachable- why would you feel awkward, after the honesty he brought forward? If you let him get u hooked, ull Ace class.

Note taking is so easy! He also puts the lecute PPS online after each class. Gives a clear reading list as well as study guides for all the exams. He is really particular in your writing so make sure you have decent writing skills.

I took his online class this summer and it was engaging and fun. I really learned a lot and would like to take another class with Professor Stefonik. He explains everything well, has interesting lectures and slides, as well as fun videos. The class stays engaged with on-line discussions so I didn't feel like I was taking an on-line class.

Hes a great prof! Never fails to keep class interesting, and it always seems like there's never enough time to go over things. He provides study guides for his quizzes/tests which are really straightforward. The class did require some self-study bc there wasn't enough class time to go over it, but it's a really fun class!

Stefonik was without a doubt the most helpful teacher I have had since high school. He really engages with the class and seems to like talking to his students. There was also an embedded tutor who has tutoring sessions twice a week specifically for his class! Weekly 10 question quizzes, mostly vocabulary. 2 essays, 3 tests, and REP program.

The most informative class I've ever taken in my life. Stefonik brings this subject to life, bringing in fun discussions to enhance learning environment. This class is absolutely necessary for anybody who wants to learn about relationships, and the sexual nature distilled in every person. He's awesome!

I had Stefonik for statistics for the behavioral sciences. He makes it very clear what readings and assignments must be done, as well as exactly what is expected of you for each test. He takes complex material and explains it in simple and easy to understand ways during his lectures. If you didnt pass, you must have not done any of the work.

Sometimes quiz questions and feedback are confusing. The coursework isn't so organized either, but both did not interfere with learning it was just kind of annoying. Professor Stefonik's online psych was super easy. 6 discussions, 6 30 multiple choice tests on assigned chapters, 2 article analysis (interesting reads), no midterm, & final is a multiple choice test. He's there is you need him and the assignments are so easy you can't not pass. Just do good on tests and you're set.

TAKE HIS CLASS! Best professor ever kept students engaged. Made the class so much fun! Possibly thinking of studying psych now as a major. There are 4 main tests and a lot of memorization but he makes it easy to memorize and helps you out so much. He even stays for extra study hours after class and he gives you what you need to know on tests.

He's an amazing teacher! I loved his class so much. He is willing to help you just as long as you ask for it. There was also an in class tutor who was also very helpful. He gives you a list of everything you need to know for the 3 tests he has. There are also two writing assignments but they're not too difficult. Would love to have him again!

I was in Stefoniks General Psychology hybrid class (online & in class). He covers maybe about 10 or so chapters and all but two of the quizzes were online. Quizzes are easy along as you go to class. The only homework given were two article analysis essays and you have 2-3 weeks to complete (totally doable). Highly recommend, amazing professor!

Mr. Stefonik is, hands down, one of the best teachers I've ever had. He has an incredible passion for psychology. He makes the lectures interesting, relatable, and fun. He inspires rich discussion. He never tests students on anything that isn't on his printed learning objectives. There are weekly quizzes but they are straight forward.

His lectures are very interesting, he is funny professor. But be careful, his tests are very very tough. You need work on it. In the other way, you can do the extra credit work in his class if you have a bad grade on your tests. It will save your letter grade.

This was a relatively simple course. Each week he assigns sections to read from the book, some video lectures, and learning objectives. There are two papers that are relatively simple, and he definitely grades fairly.

I had the chance of taking Ben's Intro to Psychology class at my high school. Ben would deliver the lectures through videos, where I found it easily accessible outside of class. Even though this was an online course, Ben would occasionally come to give us a lecture.

I loved taking Psychology with Ben. I signed up for the fast-paced six-week summer online class so I was DREADING the amount of homework that I thought I was going to receive, FOR NOTHING. Ben was amazing! He made the class fun, engaging, and not too hard to keep up with. I thought I was going to get a B because I missed some assignments but nope!

This professor is fair and just, he has clear and easy work. He has a printed and clear midterm and exam study guide they help a lot. His lectures or engaging and entertaining . I learned more in his class in one quarter then a semester with another teacher who isn't in love with this field of psychology like he is.

Professor Stefonik is hilarious and his lectures were always fun and engaging! All of his tests consists of two parts: about 50 multiple choice exam (in class) then written short essay questions (very easy and online). Don't be alarm, it may seem heavy and overwhelming but the short answers definitely saves your grade if your test scores are low.

Lectures were very interesting. He used his personal stories which makes you connect, relate, & have a better understanding of what he's teaching. Pay attention, and the work practically does itself; I've never been so inspired to write for a class than in this one. And he really appreciates seeing a creative twist on his assignments! I took Professor Stefonik for my Human Sexuality class and it was amazing. It was very clearly stated from the get go what he expected and to get a good grade just make sure you do the articles that he assigns you and a lot of it is just opinion based answers that you have to justify your answer through evidence in the text.

Easy A, lots of interesting studies given as readings. As long as you do the readings, do the projects, and pay attention in class you'll be fine! Big project at end of class but very helpful in the process since he spreads it out among the quarter. Really enjoyed taking this class he's super funny and has really good entertaining lectures

I loved Ben's class! It's asynchronous online, and each week you have 1 hour of textbook reading and a quiz on it, a 30 min video lecture and a quiz on that, and a discussion post. There's 3 papers in the quarter, but Ben is super helpful if you ever need and guidance. Super interesting content and super straightforward assignments and grading.

I really enjoyed this class with Prof Stefonik and looking back I learned so much , stuff that I find to be relevant outside of class as well. This class is really well organized and I really enjoyed the discussion posts during this class, as it was nice to interact w/ my classmates. The honors assignment was not hard and took maybe 2/4 days.

I didn't think that his tests or quizzes were particularly challenging, but some questions had confusing wording which made it more open to interpretation. Gave lots of extra credit which will help boost your grade!

The best psychology teacher out there. He's chill, got a great sense of humor, and for psychology, he's a perfect fit. Although there are a lot of assignments, you really learn a lot in this class, he really shows how crazy psychology is overall and you learn so much, like really.

Stefonik is easily one of the best teachers I've experienced, not just in Foothill, but in my entire time at any school. I have never felt more challenged, respected, and cared for from a teacher. His content is challenging, in a way that keeps you interested. You aren't babied and are actually taught like a student in an upper-division course.

He gave great feedback on all of the assignments and there wasn't much reading except for a chapter or two per week. Stefonik genuinely makes online classes enjoyable with how involved he is, as well as with how great his video lectures are. I'm not even pursuing anything in the Psychology field, but I might take another class of his just because of how wonderful he is. :)

Overall this was an informative & easy class. There were some parts I felt out of place being older than others. Complete all the extra credit, get all the points possible on the lecture quizzes, and complete your discussions for the highest grade possible. The three essays can be tough, but doable with a little bit of planning.

This professor does a great job of making the lectures engaging, and answers all sorts of your questions. For PSYCH1H, we wrote "application papers" about how the concepts in class applied to our own life instead of tests a few times. Super interesting, I took it not as a psych major.

The material was hard because statistics is difficult, but he did a great job making the work engaging. As long as you show up and do the assignments (which aren't time-consuming and help you learn), you will do well.

Professor Stefonik is amazing! He expertly navigated the pitfalls associated with a class dealing with sensitive and controversial political topics, while giving equal weight and consideration to all perspectives. Though there are a lot of lectures and a good amount of writing assignments, I would definitely recommend him!

AMAZING PROFESSOR. So caring and really wants students to succeed in his class. He takes a kindhearted and knowledgeable approach to the content and allows space for lots of valuable discussion to happen. He does share his personal opinions on issues, but not in an overbearing or forceful way, and he really values productive discussion.

Professor Stefonik's PSYC1H is a great class - engaging lectures, interesting assignments, and lots of learning. The work isn't too hard, and unstuck AI was super helpful for study prep.

You only get a professor like Ben once in a lifetime. I was genuinely crushed when I realized we were approaching the final week. It just FLEW BY. Ben prioritizes learning over busy work and challenges you academically to deepen your understanding of the material. There will always be unenthused students, but this course was sincerely motivating.

Half of the assignments are credit/no credit. which honestly saved my grade. He is a little ditzy, and makes typos, grading mistakes (not seeing if you answered a question), and once handed me another student's exam, but he knows his material well. He's very sweet, and responds quickly to emails.

Great professor and great human, glad I took the class. But know that this is the only PSYC4 class that offers exams. If you just want an easy A, you're better off taking it with one of the other professors. There is also a 1200 word research paper to accompany the 2 exams and 3 quizzes. Be prepared to memorize brain anatomy.

Hopefully the lecture quizzes will still be as exhilarating as they always have been. Especially the fury you feel when you get a question wrong and trying to earn back your points by proving you understand the concept. Heavy emphasis on group work by the way.

One of the best professors I've ever met. I took behavioral psychology in statistics in Winter Quarter 2024, Prof. Stefonik made the boring numbers and data very easy to understand. He would spend time to print out his own lecture materials, and every lecture is based on the hand out he printed out for us.
