He covers a lot of material at one time and kinda leaves you guessing about what you need to process from it all. Your grade is dependent on pop quizzes and exams which cover 5-6 chapters at a time. Prof. Weibell is a good teacher but a hard one.

Not terribly necessary to show up to class (except for pop quiz) because its basically just whats in the text. The tests are rather difficult, cover a LOT of material, and he DOES NOT CURVE, unlike other Biology professors. First test 20 Fs. He's helpful if you ask questions/go and see him, but for the curve reason alone I'd recommend someone else.

Fortunately, I was able to pull off an A in his course, but that was because I was on the border. He's got slideshows that just copy the book verbatim, so you're not getting anything new. He can be somewhat helpful, but not in the classroom. I also had him for Lab, but don't get him if you can!! Overall, I would recommend some other prof.!

Like what most peps said if you don't have to have this teacher don't. He shows off slide shows, you study the book word for word, you even use the biology disk and practice all the quizzes and still can't manage to pass the class. so please if you can save yourself, your money, and time. If you have the chance to take Biology 101, DO NOT take it with him. He pigeonholes you into learning material by a certain learning style with his packet that is worth 200 points. It's like a high school class and you're pretty much doing a workbook. He also makes you write out all the vocab words, by hand. Get ready to write 3 pages every time

Had him for lab & he was decent. I would definitely take him for lab, based on what I have heard about the other teachers, he is fairly easy. You take a quiz for the first 10 mins of each class-they are just one word answers. Complete lab & study it over before class. He can come off as a bit annoyed, but he is helpful when you ask questions.
