This teacher was not bad. You do have to show up to class and do the homework to understand. His notes and lectures are very easy to understand and he usually doesn't mind giving you a grade for your homework to earn some x-tra points. I don't think he's the best but I do think he's the best at UHD. He actually cares and wants to see you pass.

I liked his teaching style for my class. He was very repetitive and was always working us so that we could learn everything we needed to for the next class. His tests covered what we were supposed to have learned - sometimes test grades weren't always satisfactory for others but I got an B+ in his class..just 2 points short of an A because I bombed my first test. Mr. John is a great teacher for those that are not mathematically inclined. I wish I could have had him again this year.

This class was a breeze. If you take the 15 minutes it takes to do homework, you will make a good grade. ASK QUESTIONS! He is willing to make an effort so you pass unlike many professors. I passed with nearly an A+. Attend class, his problems on the board are what's on the test.

He is clear and helpful. I am HORRIBLE at math, but i found myself understanding with his explainations and repetitions. I didn't do great, because i started slacking off, but i think it wouldn't take too much effort to make a good grade. Good for people who aren't mathmatically inclined

his class is very easy...you basically just have to do online homework, which u can do as many times as u like for the grade u need..i think he explains the material well...JUST REMEBER WHEN TAKING HIM PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT...but im sure their are better professors so if u know of one go to them instead

I learned alot in his class. He is helpful just pay attention. Is a very nice teacher, and I wish I could be in his class for ever.

i stray away from teachers with accents but i had to take him due to my scheduling. he is a really good teacher but if you are in remedial i recommend ms. beane before taking john. must go to class, do homework to do good on tests. but what do u expect? its college!

awesome teacher if you pay attention and show up. PRACTICE YOUR MATH he doesn't work miracles but he is helpful and is very cool.

prof. john is a great teacher as long as you do your part as to giving effort and showing up to class. even if you try a little bit you will agree he is a good teacher. does not put up with b.s. just do your part as a student and you will be great. RECOMMENDED!

adequate teacher. had him last semester, if the students in your class are disrespectful freshmen he will be more likely to be strict. this semester I am in a class with more mature students and I think he is a great teacher, not unpleasant at all

OK so everyone who rated him low I seriously think its the same person. I HATE math, but taking his class, he explains things well, and if you dont understand, he will redo the problem step by step. Not a mean teacher at all. If you respect him he will respect you. He is always willing to help. I would RECOMMEND.

I love this math professor, I love the way he teaches, and if you don't understand, he will try to show you different ways to solve the problem. I would take him again. :D!

I havent taken math in 10 years or more and I've never been good at it, but Professor Benny is awesome! Hes really good, hes funny and he really helps his students with the math if they dont understand. He even stays after to help you if you need help. I'm so glad I took him this semester. I took him in summer and would highly reconmend him!

I thought this professor was not that bad. He has an accent. He is NOT mean, many students talk back to him which is sad, because he is a really great professor. Gives plenty of examples for each problem. If you need extra help with the class, he is willing to work with his student ONLY if you talk to him. I would take his class again.

This teacher is great!!! he does have an indian accent and can be tough to understand him sometimes BUT he is very comprehensive and easy! the homework is online, the tests are easy too! he gives plenty and plenty of examples so it is impossible NOT to get the problem! he can be conviced to push back tests! i loved his class! recommend!

He is a nice guy, attendance is mandatory. Must do homework, gives reviews that are exactly like the test! He extends tests if you need time to study, appreciates his students that attend class. I HATE math and I got the best grade in math EVER in this class...

Proffesor Benny , was really helpful to me , his really good at teaching but a little serious towards his teaching. I like when he shows alot of problems so you could learn and understand it. His a nice man , but you don't want to get along with him in a bad way. If you want to learn , choose him, his really good.

This class was rather easy. I got good email responses from the teacher. He helped when needed in the math lab as well. He was very understanding to my questions and answered accordingly. Overall a good teacher.

Great class, proffessor actually teaches material and gives alot of examples..you don't want to miss class tho...he curves tests and gives extra credit towards them if you do voluntary homework and turn it in..the online homeworks help alot 16%of overall grade 3 tests and a final..

Professor John has an indian accent but you can moslty understand him. He looks rather intimidating but he really is nice. At the end of the semester he's really lenient at extending due dates for quizzes&homework so if you missed a couple it's okay. He will help you one on one if asked also. I suck so bad at math &didn't try at all & still got a C

Prof John is clear with dates and resources+notice His class is really easy and flexible. there were only 3 tests and a final and most of the homework and quizzes were online which should be easy to make an A. Answers emails right away and is really helpful. He doesn't call you out but asks questions for the class to answer. He does have an accent.

This teacher is the best. He assigns HW and gives out a practice review before each test. A few of the questions on the review will be on the exam, so make sure to practise the review. The exams are multiple choice which make them even easier. If you need additional help, all you have to do is ask. Practise the HW and you will pass

I worked hard to make a B. Not clear about grading, he tells us at the end of the semester that he averages your homework attempts on connect. So, even though I had the highest grade in the class (A's on EVERYTHING), I still got a B in the end. He's not always clear on things, but the material is easy, take someone else or online if you can.

I LOVE THIS CLASS. If you pay attention and do all the online homework you will do great. He is very helpful in making sure you understand everything. Although test are hard, he gives you a review to prepare for it. The people on here that gave a bad rating are probably the ones that sat in the back and never payed attention to the lecture. Such an amazing math teacher! I was expecting my first child the week of finals while taking his class and he went out of his way to make sure that I was able to take my final EARLY and did not expect me in class the week my son was due. His lectures are extremely clear and educational. Take good notes of his examples and you will pass!

Calculus was always my biggest fear; however, I have been taught by a great professor who enjoys his job. He lectures from the textbook and gives test reviews. Test reviews are accurate in test content, but they are not exacly like the test. Clasess are only lectures. No extra credit.

Back in high school I didn't do so well in calculus. Thanks to this professor, calculus was easy. He would tell you why you got the question wrong (if you ask) and he was really nice. Many students believe he's not a good teacher but they don't even bother going to class every single day. Overall I'm glad to have taken the class.

Great Professor. I took his class and it is a lot of things to learn, but he helps you so much. He responds to my emails and always answered questions in class when students needed help. Homework was through mathLab (book included). Homework was helpful so do them. He explained problems thoroughly & very well. Professor has an accent, so if you're not good at understanding other accents, I would not recommend this professor to you but I would also recommend you practice listening.

I took this class online while working and tending to children. It is very doable. Everything is in MML and grades are pretty straightforward. I had to email him only once and he responded the next day. Do the homework and study it. Your tests are similar to it. Plus its great practice.

I took Professor John for Summer II Stat 3309, He's great & respectful! Make sure you do all your Mystatlab HW with no lower than a 95% grade in Each HW. 3 Exams, 50 problems online final (will be at UHD testing center). Pay attention to last chapters (ch. 9 and ch. 14) will be on the final! PLEASE STUDY & do your HW or you won't pass.

I took for Math 1306. Just do your Homework and aim for a high grade on assignments so test wont impact so much. He is available if you try to reach him. I found the class fairly easy. Everything is on the syllabus!

Easy class. mymathlab. set your own pace. exactly what i was looking for. personally like to go at my own pace for math classes. Didn't have questions for him bc it was all on math lab. no need to communicate with the professor. 10/10 recommend if you like classes set up this way!

Grade is based on homework and tests done in MML. I took this class online in the summer. It is a lot of work, but it is doable. He does respond to emails. Take advantage of tutoring if you need it. I plan to take him for MATH1306.

I took him for MATH1306. Everything (HW, tests,final)is done in MML. Drops the lowest test grade. Tests are from 7-9pm. Unlimited tries on HW. I am not good in math, but I liked the setup on the online course and flexibility. All HW is open the first day of class, and due on the day of the test. I would take him again. WIll earn an A or B overall.

Professor Benny John is one of the nicest professors Ive ever had. He is understanding and was willing to work with me when I reached out to him! Clear grading criteria!

I took his online classes and every single exam was a day i worked, he always changed the time for me and i even missed an exam completely and he let me make it up good professor for online.

I never thought I would enjoy a MATH class but this one I did. He was teachings were very thorough which made math easy to learn.

HW and Test on Pearson MyLab. If you do the HW you should pass the test they use the same questions. HW is usually due the day of the test. Attend class it's the only way you learn unless you want to teach yourself. DON'T PROCRASTINATE ON HW you will regret leaving it to the end.

I've heard so many people complain about this professor. The GroupMe was full of students saying how unfair and unrealistic he is. He's not though. I'm terrible at math but I've taken two classes with this professor and I've done better than I predicted I would. He just expects you to be in class, participate and do the homework.

A lot of my classmates complain about the teaching styles of Professor John. While I can understand their frustration, I enjoyed his class, I felt like he was upfront and when I asked for help, he was always open to helping. if you are able to understand math quicker, I recommend you take Professor John, not much work or stupid side projects.

Great teacher for students with a math background. The class moves fast, so missing even one session can hurt. He teaches well but isn't the best communicator outside lectures. If you're on top of things, you'll do fine. He gave us extra credits. He has an Indian accent, but it's clear and shouldn't be an issue for most.
