Both knowledgeable & bipartisan, he teaches the class like no other. His tests are essay but if you take decent notes & briefly study them you'll do just fine. You'll walk away from this class not only with a better understanding of politics, but of personal economics & the tools you need to better your financial situation as well.

Very good teacher. Class time is pure note taking, his lectures do tend to be long but it is all useful information. His tests are all essays, but if you take decent notes and listen to the advice he gives you, then you will do well in his class. One of my favorite teachers. Very straight foward, I love that about his class.

Dr. White is really great! Attendance is not mandatory, but you will need to be there to get notes. Lectures are pretty easy to follow as long as you are a good note taker. I took Mr White for history 1. Eventhough i HATE history i must say that he is a great teacher. He is very helpful and will explain the material in an easy way for you to understand it. About 90% of his tests are from his lectures which is why you will have to take notes. There are 3 tests, including the final. Inever got the book, but I got an B.

His lectures are okay sometimes put you to sleep but u have to stay awake and take good notes. He tend to stay on subject and he never talks about facts. His test grade comes from 10% book and 90% from notes. And a bonus essay which is 10 points on exam. I really recommend him easy professor.

Very easy class. Teaches only the bare minimum needed very clearly, tests 90% on lectures and 10% from textbook plus a 10% extra credit question on every test. Can get an A if you work hard enough even without the textbook.

Dr. White is very informative with his lectures. That is all that he does plus maps. You will have to have an arm of steel or a mind of a teenager that stays focused to really get all that you need. clue in to "as a result", "the reasons for", "most important", "all of the locations on the maps that he gives you" North, South, East and West and in between. Of course pay attention to names, wars and other events that take place. good luck

If you don't like taking notes, then don't take him, but then again, why are you in school if you don't like taking notes? 3 tests for the whole semester, and that's your grade so it isn't a handout, but take good notes and you're golden. I thought he was a great professor. His exams are basically all from his his lectures. You don't actually have to read the book to make a good grade on his exams, but you need to take good notes. You should go to every class so that way you won't miss anything he covers.

You don't need the text book and he tells you everything you need, you just have to have great notes, plus he gives you a bonus question to answer by choice worth ten points..His text are m/c 50 questions. I took him for the mini holiday term and class always was let out early by 2 hours.

Dr.White is great! he's really cool dude. The test is direct quotes from him so you HAVE to go to class. he usually lets you out early. He explains how it is right now, and although some of it is depressing it is the truth. He doesn't sugar coat anything and tells it how it is. Love this Professor! He lectures the whole time he has you in class, but is a really interesting lecture-person & draws all over the board. Lets you out of class early almost every class, allows laptops, extra cred on the medium-hardish (sometimes) tests; only 3 grades over the sem, but take good notes & review before the test and you're fine :)

At 7:30 in the morning, this professor looks very passionate. I wanted to fall asleep but the lectures he gave were very interesting and he is very calm about everything. His notes are the tests and he goes moderately fast. They are concise and to the point and so his lectures end pretty quickly. I would definitely recommend this professor.

Took him in the summer (5 weeks) and he's pretty easy. Multiple choice test (~50 problems) with 1 essay which is super easy for up to 10 points on the test. Ended up with an A and I kept drifting in and out of sleep. TAKE NOTES though, it helps a LOT and just go to review sessions. Helped me with at least 2-5 problems.

The semester has not even ended but he is great! He's ok if you like lectures. Very dry and doesn't speak too loud. Nice and helpful professor,but the class is all note taking. Depending on how well you take notes will determine how well you do on the tests. Only need textbook if you want to do the bonus questions or want to refresh your memory.

Dr. White is my favorite professor to date. He is thorough and clear with his lectures. Yes, you need to take notes but he does permit recording devices in the event he is speaking too quickly. Exams are very easy. Do not buy the text, never opened it once. He offers a 10-point bonus question for each exam & gives it to you day one.

Dr. White is a very good instructor. You will have to have a good study strategy to pass his tests and I recommend you bring an audio recorder since he will only talk about all the details to the subject but if you take upon a good study strategy with good notes you'll be fine. Amazing Profesor, he's the best teaching GOVT 2305, to make a 100 on his class you have to the extra credit, read the book with the assigned chapters and just take notes. If you don't follow these steps then the possibility of a A is gone. I made a 100 because of these three steps that I followed. He's funny and a very chill guy to talk.

Truly the Best professor for GOVT2036. All test are based on Notes and his class format is lecture. If you take good notes and record his lecture you will make a A on every Test. Got a A real easy just go in take notes everyday. If you dont want to take notes and study then you will fail! Simple! Class flies by extremely quick, No book needed, use your phone to record the lecture then go home and write down the important stuff and memorize it, because it will be on the test even the little things. No textbook required, all you have to do is go to class & take general notes. We almost ALWAYS got out early and he makes history really interesting. I highly recommend if you're willing to go to class, and I never even studied. He doesn't test over specific dates and no HW. He's nice and doesn't have any pet peeves. Easiest A ever.

Took federal government in the 3 week mini and don't regret it at all. Attendance is required required if you want to do well, but the textbook is not. Extra credit credit on every exam and even had q and a each test.

Took him for 2305-06 & while he will not prepare you much for a legitimate government debate - he will provide insight on the other side of government. He can be both funny and boring. Record the lectures -because writing notes will not cover everything. He can change a single word from "most" to "all" on exam & that will make u miss the question.

Took Professor White for Texas Government and passed with an A, really easy class. His tests are done over his lectures so you have to show up to class if you want to pass, but his lectures aren't long and they're easy to listen to. He's a cool professor and I would recommend his class.

I took Dr. White for a winter mini. He gave a review the class day prior to the test for those who needed it. Exams were lecture based and very simple if you came to class (his lectures are not on a PowerPoint so attendance is mandatory) and took notes. Extra credit was also given. his lectures are great and he is pretty up to date and relates to it. if you miss a class you miss a while section of notes, he doesn't do anything on blackboard so there is no way to catch up or even study. he is great just make sure you pay attention to everything he says and study, he puts extra important stuff on the board.

(Fed govt summer class) He is the brightest, most fascinating professor I have ever taken. Highly recommended for people who just want to pass, highly recommended for people who want to grow from learning.

I really enjoyed this professor he only has 4 grades all year which are test that are 25% of your grade each. He allows you to turn in a common assignment that adds 10points to your average and he doesnt even grade it he has no reviews so pay station in class I record everything he never lets class go past 45mins bc says no one learns after that

This teacher it's great at teaching, all his lectures are not boring at all. He is inspirational and you can record them too. Listen to them repeatedly and his exams will become easy to take. I recommend him, also tells you not to buy the book because you don't need it.

HES GREAT ! Only had 4 tests the whole semester and the common assignment was extra credit and he didnt care abt it really. I learned a lot from him lol You just really need to take notes to what he says and go over them a day before the exam and youll be good.

Legit the most easiest class ever. I took him just so I could get my credit and go and let me tell you he did not disappoint. Since we were in quarantine the rest of the semester he basically gave up on teaching us and we just wrote 2 essays on the virus for a grade. Easiest A Ive ever gotten in my life
