The class is very hard. Dr. Mochona is very helpful when you realize your responsibilities, complete the homeworks and review problems assigned. He encourages positive competition in his class. His tests are very challenging but maintain above class average. I had CHM 1045 and 2210 from him and I will take CHM2211next sem.He is awesome.

DR. B IS THE BEST PROFESSOR I'VE EVER HAD ON FAMU'S CAMPUS. HIS CLASS IS CHALLENGING,HOWEVER, HE WILL MEET A STUDENT HALF WAY BUT ONE MUST TAKE THE FIRST STEP AND WORK DILIGENTLY TO ENSURE SUCCESS.

he's very good, his test are not hard b/c they are the same thing as the review. his teaching skills are very good, you will past his class even if you fail both of his first two exam.

He has a lil bit of an accent but he writes EVERYthing out on the board so if ur inclass you'll be sure the pass. the coursework is hard but he explains everything. Kick as all in all.

A very common chem teacher, you need to come to class every day it will HELP YOU OUT IN THE END. He will post homework and quizs online for you to do so do them and you will be straight. A, B, C, you pick you grade by how hard you work.

He's not gonna give you an A or a B but he does give out alot a C's. His class is extremely easy if you study what his lecture notes and do the hw. Dont bug him too much but make sure he knows you. Dude's the easiet science teacher at Fam. There's no reason you cant earn an A/B in this class or at least pass. DONT MISS CLASS EVER

Dr. B is my favorite teacher at Fam. Even though he can be a little feminine at times, he is still the best chemistry teacher on campus. If you take him make sure you do all the homeworks online. In 1045 i got a B, but in 1046 i had an A before the final, i failed the final but I still got my A.

He teaches mainly from the book, but he gives plenty of work so that you can apply it. He will also help you if you show interest.

He has excellent teaching style. The course is very challenging. If you solve review problems and homeworks you can make good grade. I recommend him if your background in chemistry is poor. You will learn!

If you fail his class you didn't do your work. He prepares you for the test. If you study the material you will get at least a B and an A is not impossible.He is the best Chemistry teacher at FAMU. I understood the way he explained stuff. Oh and one more thing he hates cheaters. Don't every cheat in his class.

I have taken CHM 1045H, 1046H,2210 & 2211H with Dr. Mochona. Great teacher! take the class, but be prepared for work.

Dr. B is an encouraging teacher. He cares about his students learning. He makes you think and analyze. Probably learned more in this class than any other, Take organic I and II he prepares you for the final ACS exam. Overall I give him A.

Great teacher! He teaches you how to teach yourself. No skimming. He makes you work for your grade. Highly recommended.

Dr. B is one of the most intelligent professors I have ever had. He teaches and applies everything to how it relates in your major. He gives random quizzes sometimes and packets of problems, but its do-able. You probably need to study, but his course isn't too bad.

He is a fantastic professor. He wants to see you succeed. He spends lots of time in his office, but as far as assignment help he expects you to figure it out with your classmates. Not too easy, but definitely worth your time.

Chemistry is not my subject. I have been struggling but thanks to Dr. B he encouraged and gave me extra work to understand the concepts before solving problems. His home works and review problems are very helpful. He encourages group study, his study sessions are very helpful.

He is a very helpful teacher and better helps you understand Chemistry. does a good job in preparing you for 1046. He doesnt give much homework and projects. class is base mostly on test and quiz grades. Go to his office hours and he will help you as much as he can.

Orgo is a challege but Dr.B breaks it DOWN!!! He teaches Chem as if it were a math class & if you study hard and get to know him on a personal level you will be FINE! Only drawback is he makes chem so easy you won't want to study b/c you understand it so well, but you HAVE to study.. it'll start to get overwhelming! I got a B in Orgo I with him!

Not an easy class. Dr. B wants you to succeed his class with learning. I like the way how he relates the topic with biology, engineering or other majors. Make sure you have taken fundamentals of chemistry.He wants you to explain even if the exam is multiple choice. Very recommended for science majors.

He was a pretty good professor as long as you do your hw and quizzes and actually study for the exams you should be able to pass. I passed with a A but there should be no reason for you to fail because he makes everything understandable

Great teacher. I was terrible at chem before I took Dr. M. The first test I bombed, but after going to his office and hearing him praise a chick for doing good, I studied and aced every other test. He is great, but you damn well have to invest the time into studying to survive AND do the HW and quizes. One online test was given.

He is the only chemistry teacher at this school that is good and cares if you pass. He explains everything and he makes sure his students know the material, he also has you to explain on the test why you pick the answer you did to make sure you know what you are doing, i wish i had him for all of my chemistry classes. Dr B is so cool. I have never liked chemistry and I got a D in 1046 last semester but passed easily with him. he will help you out if you show interest and go to office hours. take him if you can.

Seriously one of the best teachers because he clearly shows how much he loves to teach, I'm hoping to get him for the next few years for all of my science classes. He writes on the board and uses the online homework system I haven't used the book really.

He is a respectable and sincere professor that is passionate about Chemistry! He wants all of students to pass so don't believe otherwise. However, as college students it's expected for us to show that we care about our grades as well (studying, attending study sessions/office hours). He will help you if you ask! Just do your part.

This is my first time ever taking chemistry and I am passing with a B right now. He actually writes everything on the board and really explains it. He has a very good teaching style. He gives an overview of the chapter with learning objectives. it makes reading the power point he posts on blackboard easy. I like his review problems better than Wiley HW. encourages you to explain the answer.

He is a wonderful man and I highly recommend him. If you would like to learn and are diligent he will notice and bend over backwards for you. He wants everyone of his students to succeed in his class and will work with you if you work with him. He is an excellent teacher for anyone who wants to have a strong base in Chemistry.

He's an amazing professor! Unlike many professors at FAMU, he truely cares about you as a student and your grade. If you're having a tough time grapsing the concepts, he has no problems helping you during his office hours. TAKE HIM! YOU WONT REGRET IT. Dr. B makes class really enjoyable. Lab can be fun with the right facilitator. He enjoys students asking questions when trying to work out a problem. He improvises with short lab supplies. There are no lab write ups. He teaches the material the easiest of all Orgo facilitators. I did not struggle in this class but he worked with ppl who did.

Amazing professor. He has a big passion for chemistry and is willing to work with you to improve your grade. He doesn't give extra credit but does offer a lot of study sessions. Go to all of them!

Good teacher. Good in lecture, in lab he gets confusing. Class is a breeze. as long as you pay attention and write down his notes, you'll pass the test. He has an accent but its not hard to understand him. you won't really need the wiley plus account (only used once), but he does get you a discount code.

The best chemistry teacher in my opinion. Take him for any chemistry class. I had him for orgo 1 lab and he made it so relaxed. Took extra time to explain things and gave alot of consideration when it came to lab reports. I wish i could take him again for Orgo 2 lab.

Dr. B will makes the lab relaxing. He fully explains the experiment along with other things that will definitely help in lecture as well. Some days we would have to do a lab report and sometimes not. Sometimes he's not sure with what he wants which can get a little annoying. He stresses IR and NMR alot so make sure you brush up on that!

(For the Lab) Dr. Mochona or Dr. B ,as he prefers, is an amazing teacher. He is usually very straight forward with what he wants from labs. He cares more that you understand the principles of the lab and the techniques than the yields. If you can not read an IR or NMR spectrum, you may be in trouble because they are a big part of the class.

Each experiment is considered as mini project. You apply what you learnt in lecture, learn how to use IR and NMR machines. Report results using a format . He cares and challenges, very good teacher .

Good Professor Never responds to emails not in office during office hours lab Was easy just attend and wear proper clothing curves grades at the end of the semester.

Dr. Mochona is a really amazing professor, he wants all of his students to do well. He makes sure hes available in his office every week to help you understand material and fix grades. His lectures are the full 50 minutes but theyre straight to the point and very helpful. Missing class is not the best option you miss so much and he notices !

Be consistent with him if youre having trouble with your grade. I shouldve failed but I got a B because I was simply consistent and he looked out for me. His lab can be a bit confusing. I dont believe anyone in my class failed. His quizzes/test are online. Attendance does matter. Always have your lab coat and goggles and appropriate shoe wear.

He teaches you all that you need to know for the tests, which makes up the majority of your grade. Also, he cares about attendance so don't sign up for him if you don't come to class. He will help you in his office (if he's there) if you need it, but he will check to make sure you've been taking notes. Didn't use the textbook, but used access code.

I learned more in this lab in one semester than I have in any other Chemistry class. He is a great professor, he explains difficult concepts in such a great way. He is serious about safety so make sure your labcoat, goggles and sneakers are in your bag. I would definitely take this professor again.

Professor Mochona is very nice. He lectures, give homework and a few easy quizzes, then he has easy test and done.

Very chill & relaxed man. Lab was online & very easy. Little work but he made sure you understood what to do.

He doesn't stay the whole lab, his grading is kinda weird and confusing, he talks for a little and you do the labs yourself then leave, all homework and test are online, and you don't have to go to class. The only thing is he NEVERS answers emails so you have to assume when he wants you to come in or when something is due.

Overall a easy course, great professor, and seems to be passionate about Organic Chemistry. Runs the lab more like a lecture because he talks a lot but the lab experiments are short. Assignments consisted of pre and post labs and a few online quizzes. Final was taken at home on paper. He provides a lot of info about summer internship opportunities.

Great professor. but i will say you have to put the work in to achieve a good grade so beware nursing students. But attend tutoring sessions and you will be okay.
