Berhane Elfu is a genius, hes easy to understand and hes very reliable

He is a very smart man and he will memorize your name along with your efforts. His powerpointsteaching are very straightforward but if you don't understand he is there and willing to help. He has a good humour and makes a dry subject better.

Really nice man, gets to know all of his students and genuinely wants them to succeed. presents information in a very straight forward manor and is always willing to help when you don't understand. I definitely recommend him.

Berhane is the best teacher I have ever had since high school and I am going into my third year of Business now. He is extremely clear, there to help you and a very fair marker. I would suggest that everyone take his class at one point. Oh yeah, and participation matters! But I think this goes for all classes if you want to succeed.

Amazing Prof! His power points are exactly whats going to be on your exams. He also includes examples and little tidbits in his lectures that are usually on his exams as well, going to class and listening you'll definitely get an A+.

Go to his class, listen, participate and you'll pass no problem. Look at all of this positive feedback he's received. I haven't had him since first year but I've looked to get him for every class I have taken.

He loves questions so if you are not clear about something then ask him. Very gentle and nice nature. Goes by his Power points quite a bit and makes the class interesting. Berhane is very friendly and a genuinely nice person. You can tell he really wants his students to succeed. He is patient and very much willing to help. He will repeat things multiple times to make sure you really understand. He also makes sure to learn each student's name, which is nice. I would take his class again.

An awesome instructor, who gives thorough explanations, has great knowledge but imparts that in ways that are easy to understand and repetitive in a way that helps you remember and isn't grating.

It is clear he is there for the success of his students. His lectures are clear as well as his Power Points. He leaves you almost speechless during his lectures listening to everything he knows. His memory is superb, remembers his students name. He is funny as well. Also, helps you out if you missed a lecture and are confused. Great Instructor!

I had Dr. Elfu last year. He was the best instructor that I ever had! Very clear expectations, made every class fun and inspirational. I would highly recommend him for any class he offers!

I really enjoyed his class! He is a bit hard to understand because of his accent at times (usually when he gets excited about a topic). He gives relevant information and examples in his class. Exams, group work, weekly assignments are not hard (basically gives you the answers). Defiantly one of my favourite classes I have taken!

Best Instructor EVER!!! I am lucky enough to finish macroeconmics this semester with him. I love his teaching method. He will go over a concept until it is solid in your head. He counts everything for marks, from attendance, to quizzes, exams and 1 assignment. Along with that, his notes make sense compared to other macro instructors at NAIT.

VERY GOOD INSTRUCTOR! He will clearly explain to you what will be on the exam. His teaching method is unique in that he solidifies a concept in your mind and with gods grace you will be able to pass that concept. I was in his Macroeconmics class this semester, and I would highly recommend him. Very easy marker.

One of my favourite instructors at NAIT! Incredible and inspirational. He cares about every student, regardless who you are. Do you homework and come to class, you'll do well. You will feel guilty if you skip his classes, he's that good of a human-being. Highly recommend this class for an elective, gives you a better understanding of the world.

The best professor EVER, he cares so much about his students!

He doesn't use the textbook, mostly powerpoint slides. Attend class, as he gives information about what's on the exam and quizzes.

Berhane is lovely instructor, he cares students and he really knows the materials. He gives good marks as long as you know your materials.

He will break down any difficult concepts and make them understandable even to a three year old! He is funny, honest, inspirational and well loved by his students. FNCE1125 is a mandatory class for the business programs, or I wouldn't have taken it. Nothing wrong with the teacher, but the course itself is almost all thing most adults should know. Dr. Elfus pace was a little slow work me, but overall a good teacher.

Berhane clearly cares about each one of his students, and wants everyone to succeed. He makes class go by quickly and prepares you well for exams. Would recommend to most students! Wish I could take another class with him!

Best prof! FNCE1125 is not an easy course. Lots of mathematical calculations, concepts such future value of money, insurance, investments etc... Berhane has an amazing presentation skills, caring attitude and great mind! He is a very fair marker and overall a great prof!

Hands down BEST instructor at nait/ I've ever had! He's so patient and invested in his students. He's very good at explaining the material he teaches and he's entertaining. His lectures are fun & easy to understand cause he incorporates his students in them. He also remembers 99% of his students by name. Mad respect for this man.

This man is very highly respected among his peers and students. Berhane is a caring and sweet instructor who only wants the best for his students. He would break down and repeat concepts if needed to make it easier for students to understand. It really is such a privilege to have taken one of his classes and hopefully more in the future!

I have never had a teacher like him, every class you can see how passionate he is and how much effort he puts on his teaching. He works very hard and I truly admire him for that. I just feel bad I had him during third block cause I'd be really tired at that time, and it's usually difficult for me to focus. I well respect and I recommend him.

Berhane is really passionate about finance. Because of that, he makes the lecture really interesting. He reads of slides and from the textbook. If you look like you are sleepy or not paying attention, he will call on you to read from the textbook. Attendance is key, because he calls names and if you show up to all of the classes, you get an easy 4%

Was great. Took this class online and the lecture notes provided were very useful when it came to assignments and exams, graded assignments and provided feedback within the week.

Berhane is so kindhearted, he genuinely cares about his students and made me feel comfortable in class. Lectures were very east to follow and information given is informative and necessary. With that being said showing up for class isnt necessary but you will miss out on the notes which are needed to do well on tests.

One of the best professors I've taken here at NAIT. He's straight to the point, let's you know what you need to study, his lecture notes are the exams (know them by heart and you'll get A's), and the course is very easy. I highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to get their GPA up. I've heard many other students say he's a great teacher.

Dr. Elfu is one of the best profs at NAIT! I am taking ECON3380 with him. He is very caring and committed to the success of students. Lectures are clear and enlightening. Attendance is not mandatory but u don't want to miss his class. The term exam was not easy but fair and comprehensive. Marking is fair. Highly recommend him for classes he teach

Berhane was a very caring teacher. He explained how to do the financial calculations quite well. His lectures were always less than two hours, and he has a very good grasp of the material. Mostly he lectured off slides and asked students to read out of the textbook. There were a couple easy quizzes. Access code required.

Berhane is one of the best profs at NAIT! Very caring, committed to see students succeed and gives amazing lectures. Very knowledgeable about financial math, uses great slides (prepared by him) and asks students to read loudly key points from the text in class. Three term exams, three quizzes, and attendance is mandatory. Highly recommend him!

Berhane made waking up for an 8AM 100% worth it. Besides the fact that he's an absolute sweetheart and is extremely caring of his students, he is an amazing professor. The slides he uses in class are extremely informational; I recommend taking plenty of notes! He's always offering help too so if you're struggling, don't be afraid to talk to him.

He is brilliant, kind and understanding. I had him for FNCE1125. Takes the time to learn your name and makes coming to 8 am class worth it. His exams are all online and he lets you do them in groups. He is an awesome guy and incredible instructor!

Amazing Prof! Brilliant, caring and gentle. Great lectures and shows calculations in detail. Three term exams online that he insists to be done individually. Relevant mortgage project done in groups. Marks for attendance. Final exam on paper in class. Overall, one of the best profs at NAIT! I'll take future courses with him. Highly recommended!

Berhane is a very nice, enthusiastic and educated teacher (he holds an MBA and Ph.D.). The course wokload is quite massive: 10 chapter's assignments (2 pages) and 2 group projects; however, he provides feedback for each assignment (as per my experience, only a few teachers at NAIT are doing it,) and his grading kind and fair. Recommend him, A+.

Berhane is very kind. He has a lot of knowledge and interest in economics which makes lectures easier to follow. If you have any issues, just send an email and he will work with you on it. Berhane sends regular moodle messages to remind students of deadlines and changes. Great instructor!

TAKE THIS IF YOU CAN! Berhane is a wonderful instructor and made going in for classes a pleasure. The assignments are answered by slides in class and the textbook is enjoyable to read and research in. Genuinely sad to missed out on the last of his lectures due to Covid19.

He genuinely cares for his students to do good in class. I email him about certain questions and he replys within the day and replies in detail. He even offers to do one-on-one if you are having a hard time. His exams are pretty easy, so far ive been getting 70+. Definitely recommend him!

This professor cares about how students do in his course. The material is dry and boring but he tries to freshen it up with current news material. He regularly sends emails before and after class explaining what happened in class. There are group projects where you're expected to attend class and you can't choose your groups, so beware. He's Great!

I had some things going on in my personal life this semester, and Berhane was so kind and accommodating. Business environment is a dry course, but I would absolutely recommend him.
