If you like active discussions she has a great class. Would even recommend for the last class of the day to ensure you stay at school alll day.

The class is very easy overall. we have a whole lot of class discussions. there are take home quizzes. i must warn you, "she wants you on time when u turn in your assignments, if your a minute late for class, she will not collect it.

Her class is pretty easy but you have to do the work. The work is VERY easy but you just have to DO it. She is very nice and very funny and really loves her students. I would suggest taking her class.

She is a very sweet woman that knows vry well her material. She involves the class into politics since its a course from the Black perspective. She is very nice, she understands and listens to students if they encounter any problems.I reccomend her.

Dr. Broadous, is very cool, the class is very easy, but alot of work, but very easy. She is very energetic, so if your taking a morning class, be ready. Be on time, if class starts @ 10:00, 10:01 is too-o-o-o-o-o late!...trust me, and visit her oftenly

A very energetic and knowledgeable professor who really cares about her students. If you need something to cover your Section A requirements, you should really consider this class.

Prof. Broadous is the best teacher i had at CSUN. I took her three semester in a row (Pas 161, 204,& 361). If you have the opportunity to take her class do it just be on time

Dr. Broadous, is the type of professor you would wanna take if you love challenges. You do learn a lot and the student gets the grade he/she deserves. One advice would be communication visit her often so she can see your interest.

This is a great teacher to have. It's a broadway production evrytime she walks into class! She is appoachable, kind and encourages students to participate in class.All take-home exams. Show up on time, turn in work and get an A.

she is cool. she gives all take home test. don't take her in the morning. she hates late students! She will reject your 10 page paper if you are one min late. Last semester the sucide jumper held up traffice on the freeway and she rejected everyones paper who was late. said you should get up earlier

She keeps you laughing. And she doesn't like the LAKERS anymore. She is a Shaq fan so she likes Miami Heat now. Students run the class by choosing what they want the final to be. Final paper ending up to be any length necessary.

Hilarious and sooo much fun. I LOVE Prof. Broadous. She assigns a lot of reading but for the first couple of test they are take home so they’re simple. Would love to take her again. Not giving with the A's though but its ok I still had fun 

Dr Broadous is a wonderful teacher,although she gives tons of work. You can not be late to her class because she will not except any late homework. You really have to her office hours at least twice a semester. She is very helfpful and she will work with you. I loved her class.

Dr. Broadous is really awesome. She is soo pationate and enthusiastic about the material that she actually makes you want to come to class and participate in her lectures. She gives part take home and part in class quizes. Keep up with the current events that she talks about, because those are what is mainly on the in class portion of the quiz.

THIS PROFESSOR IS NO JOKE...WHEN SHE SAYS CLASS STARTS AT 8AM U BETTER BELIEVE IT STARTS AT 8!!! SHE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY LATE WORK (NO EXCEPTIONS)!!! DR. BROADOUS IS A DIFFICULT TEACHER AND A NICE ONE TOO. SHE IS ONLY TOUGH IN ASSIGNMENT BECAUSE SHE WANT HER STUDENT TO LEARN AND THIS TEACHER DID A GOOD ASS JOB. DR. Broadous is an excellent professor. Shes down to earth and easy to talk to about any subject. HOwever tips to pass her class: dont be late, have assignments du when assigned and dont be affraid to engage in class discussion

she was nice, you just have to work hard and never b late, she was really careing and easy to talk to at times. but she was the way she was to help us understand that the real world is not easy and sure wasnt her class.

To my amazement she was extremely diverse AND very demanding on the awareness of African American culture. For those that don't know, she was a lawyer, congress-woman, and Judge. She came to each class full of energy, and love. She demanded respect and expected student to dedicate themselves to learn. She's a great teacher!!

best teacher i ever had... just participate and you'll do good. if she knows who you are she'll grade easy. cares about what you learned not how you do on tests. but you have to show that you learned by participating in class. she's fun and energetic and loves teaching. i had her for 2 classes and loved both of them

This professor is pretty chill. Very nice and keeps the class interesting. If you want to learn take her class. I promise it?s not a waste of time or money. But if you do take her get ready to work. She gives lots of work, trust. Be prepare and you will be fine.

Prof. Broadous is a great professor! the course is interesting and I enjoyed her jokes and personality.The class was laid back. But, It is important to be on time and to pay attention to assignments on turnitin.com. but i would reccomend her anyday.

She's hillarious, I recomend this class, not too much work, the first half we analyze chapters from this boring book about race, second half we participate in this really fun mock trial. There was one random quiz and a final 8 pg paper that really not hard (it's about the trial) minal hw and she cancels class a lot!

She is a very sweet, funny and spunky woman. =) The class, being UNIV 100, was bound to be boring, but she actually spiced it up a bit with useful field trips and projects concerning the campus. Once in a while, she'd sneak some assignments onto TurnItIn.com that the whole class would miss, but other than that, she was a great professor.

Professor Broadous was a funny teacher.Although Attendence is not stated to be mandatory it plays a major role in her grading.She feels that attendence is something that is done whether it is said or not.The test are take home and you can use you book or the internet.Be careful with turnitin and the quizzes she does not play about late work.

I found Professor Broadous to be extremely entertaining. CLass was rarely boring and the class is easy. The assignments were easy, the only thing is she means what she says. If she says the assignments are due then they're due. if your not in class when she gives an assignment then you're out of luck because she will not give it to you.I enjoyed he

What can I say about Dr. B. She is the freaken best teacher ever. Her sarcasm is awesome and she will always helps no matter what. She may be strict, but she knows how to have fun. Don't slack off because she will get on you.

She is the funniest person alive ! All the tests are take home. The material is exremely hard, but she still makes you want to come into class. If you are late, DO NOT WALK IN FRONT OF HER FOR ANY REASON ! She is so entertaining. You may not remember much about the actual course, but you will learn a lot about life.

I have had her for two different political classes and I love her. She rubs off as stern, but she is very nice. She is funny and cares about the students who care about the class. NEVER BE LATE. Participation will get you a bump-up if you are borderline. I will take her as much as I can.

ALL FRESHMAN!Take professor B! I mean Dr. B because she will correct you in a heartbeat!She is so funny and always keeps the class entertain. Idk why people are giving her negative reviews. My whole class enjoyed her wild personality and upbeat spirit. Easy A if you do all your hw. Btw she does assign some crazy due dates like 3:48pm so watch out!

If your only taking this class to fill GE TAKE IT! This class is EASY! She is very interesting. She used to be a judge so very knowledgeable about the legal system. You won't learn a WHOLE lot. The quizzes are all take-home and the group project well she cancelled it and got an automatic A on it! But if you dont care bout politics take it. Trust me

I love Dr. B. She is great and very informative. I cant say that i felt the same in the beg. TALK to her as much as you can so that she can understand you. In the beg if i was late to class w' an assignment she wouldnt take it. And if i wasnt listening while she was talking she would question me about the lec. Its all to help benefit the student

I took this class online. Tests questions came out of the book, but it was an easy read. It was pretty easy I gotta A-

This class was an easy A as long as you did all your hw and turned it in on time. She also has these weird due dates online and you must constantly check moodle for new assignments she posted up without telling us in class. She also tends to cancel class a lot. Personality wise, she's a really nice woman who keeps the classroom lively.

If you are looking to get your history GE done, I would recommend this course. The workload is not very high but it does require thinking and work. Professor is very nice and is willing to help you if you have any questions. Tests are long and take time so do not procrastinate!

She reminds you of somebody's grandma. She is sweet as candy but she DO NOT play. Don't walk in her class late and especially not in front of her. Make sure you turn in EVERYTHING on time because she DONT accept late work under any circumstances.

No powerpoints, just discussions, so reading is a must if you dont want to look lost. Actual work is not that much.

Dr. Broadous may seem intimidating at first but she is actually super nice! Like some of the comments below said, she is old school so just do all of the work and show up on time and you'll be fine. Discussions were very interesting so the class wasn't bad at all. She provided the literature so we didn't have to spend money on books.

She is by far one of my favorite professors! Very funny, cares for her students. This class is really fun, at first she is intimidating but is very nice. Her lectures are very interesting and sometime funny. A bit old school but not harsh. Just make sure you're not late or are disrespectful! Best part is she provides the text needed for the course.
