I've had this professor for B21 and B42, both online. She clearly states what she wants done in her syllubus at the beginning of the course. She allows you to work ahead, which can help with a busy schedule. The tests are easy. She answers emails promptly. I will take her again if given the opportunity.

Shes sweet. I realy liked her. Great personality! You have to go to class!!! Quiz every few days on chapter. Tests were easy. You have to do a resourse binder at the end, but its easy just time consuming. As long as you read the chapters and go to class the class is pretty easy.

I have so much to say about Professor Towns! Shes is such a great teacher! You learn so much in her class & she relates to her students. She is so nice and sweet. I took one Child development class because it was required & after taking her class I changed my major to child development. She makes it sound so intressting and fun.I reccoment her!

This was by far the nicest lady I have ever met.I took this class hybrid and we met twice a month. Dr. Towns made sure we all knew what we were suppose to be doing. I couldn't have passed the class without her guidance. Great Professor and I recommend taking her classes.

She is a wonderful teacher.Make sure you do every assignment on your observations.try to hit all developmental stages while observing if possible, it helps tons for the case study project at the end. Do your work and attend class get to know her.She is amazing and will help you understand what she wants as well as the field.

EASY. The 12 page paper is broken up into 4 segments so you submit 3 pages every few weeks. The quizzes and discussions are really simple as well. I would definitely recommend taking this class!

Love this class! she is super funny and willing to hear you out. Be prepared to read and get tested every week! You will need to take the book with you every time you show up to her class but other than that she's awesome.

Is an easy class and every interesting. You have a 12 page essay,but you turn the pages in parts. You have four parts of child development which you have to experiments on a child.

Dr. Towns is such a fantastic person! work wise there is stuff to to do in her class such as projects like presentations but they are a piece of cake! Quizzes we are able to use notes, and her lectures are sooo... inspirational. Also you do have a 12 page paper due but its cut into 3 parts so its easy to do! and NO final

Professor Towns is an amazing professor. I took her online. She has something due each week and you can even get ahead if you want. I am taking 2 online classes with her. CHDV b21 I have a 97 % and CHDV b32 I have a 88% . She responses to all her emails. and is very helpful.

This class was a walk in the park. If you are looking for an easy A this is it. I didn't do the final paper and I still passed with an A. Weekly quizzes that are super easy. 4 child experiments that take very little effort. Would recommend if you are simply looking to fulfill requirements, or for fun.

Love Professor Towns, very clear directions, easy work, easy A. I took this class over summer school and it was super easy. finished the class in about 3 weeks. One big assignment, the rest are end of the chapter questions. This class is a must take for summer school!

Super cool and understanding Professor! Class consists of quizzes and group projects. She gives amazing lectures and attendance is required! So if you dont like group projects then this isnt the class for you but shes definitely the best totally recommend this class!

Theres four group projects but super easy. She gives amazing/inspirational lectures. I learned so much. Some quizzes are difficult but you get to use notes. Theres no final! There is a 12 page research paper but its not difficult! So much better than taking a final!

I took Dr. Town's class online, and she is such a great professor. She gives feedback on your assignments and comments, and she gives all the assignments up front on CANVAS, so you can access all of them without any surprises. She looks for well thought out responses/comments, but she is a very nice person. The quizzes and experiments are easy.

This was a really easy class do not buy the book because it was totally useless. Have to do weekly journals, but she doesn't really grade them they were basically just a formality. really easy

Shes an awesome Professor, I have taken two courses with her and I love her lectures. Participation does matter but promise you will not fall asleep in class. Take notes, be on time, study, and you will not have an issue. As for the online class, yes the book is needed and all you have to do is stay on top of your work and you will do just fine.

I took two courses in the same semester with Dr. Towns! Honestly it was the easier two courses ever. I learned so much in her lectures in CHDV B21 attendance and participation is needed for that class. But I took EDUC B24 online and all the work in given ahead of time and its all do able be on top of the work and youll get an A

Dr. Towns is the best professor that i have had, she is different than any other child development professors. She is very caring for her students. takes time to know each and every on of her students. she actually teaches you about the topic and isn't about just the book. makes you do a few project but they are very easy and fun.

Dr. Towns gives you all the assignments upfront, so you will not be blind to what is expected. Follow her guidelines, and you will pass her class. She gives good feedback, and she gives extra credit. If you're on an Education pathway, I recommend taking Dr. Towns' class because she offers a lot of help, and she is an expert in Education.

This class was great and Professor Towns is amazing! Grading is just online quizzes, 4 easy journals, and a presentation. If you don't get an A in this class, drop out of college cause this class was so easy!

Decent professor, responds to discussion in a single email addressed to everyone at the beginning. You need to do 4 experiments for each age group so if you do not have access to them it can be tough. Also you need to do a power point. Discussions are worth more than quizzes. Easy class if you do your work.

Her classes are very easy, i have taken her a few times and have done well in all of them. I learned alot in her classes, plus they are fun and enjoyable. The homework is manageable and gives just the right amount of it.

I took her online 8-weeks summer class and it was an easy A! 3 chapters questions a week and a video discussion. 2 projects, no tests. Turn in your work on time and you will get an A.

This is my second time taking a class with Professor Towns. Her class is easy as long as you keep up with the weekly assignments. At the end of each chapter you need to answers a few questions and do weekly discussions with the class. Easy PowerPoint presentation required. She responds fairly quickly to emails and she works with you if needed.

I have taken her other classes before, this one had the most work to do and more papers to do as well. She is very kind and gives plenty of time to finish, I do not remember having to take any tests

She had a great personality, I looked forward to her class every morning. All quizzes and final is online and you are able to use the book for everything which was great. She has a lot of stories that really show that she is passionate about her work and she understands the information shes giving, from personal experience and from the book.

I took this class online in the fall there are discussions every week but very Informative and interesting , one huge Portfolio due thats worth 100 points so dont slack on that ! Other then that pretty easy interesting class.

Probably the sweetest professor I have ever encountered. She cares so much about all of her students and is very understanding if you talk with her one on one. The work isnt overwhelming but you still learn. Lectures didnt feel like lectures because she was so funny and asked questions about our lives to connect things to. Take her class!

I took two other classes this summer and i hardly worried about this one. no textbook she provides all the reading materials. had three big projects, Interview, resource booklet, and portfolio assignment, everything else was discussions, quizzes for each module with only 4 questions each. very easy A guys truly! im taking her again!

Shes nice and knows what shes doing. She doesnt record zoom meetings so youll have to take notes or have a good memory. After a while we had class once a week because zoom had problems so it got a little frustrating but it was fine. Work with classmates or attend office hours if you need help.

Very simple and easy class to get an A, if you need clear lectures I wouldn't choose Dr. Towns since most of the classwork is based on lots of reading so that requires a lot of self discipline. However the assignments are very easy and very clear to understand and its very hard to NOT pass.

There is a ton of reading every week but she does discuss it in class. There are a lot of assignments but as long as you try and are gaining the concept. You'll be okay. Attendance is mandatory but she made every class fun.

Her class was pretty easy. I took this class Spring 2021 online flexible. We had weekly readings, discussions or quizzes or even both. It was light work. Her finals were a little challenging, but its doable. I highly recommend Dr. Towns!

She is a wonderful Professor I took her in person class last semester, and it was great! I decided to try her online course just because I needed something more flexible this semester and it was great as well; she is very understanding and isn't a hard grader. Do all of your assignments and you will do great!

So far have passed all her classes with an A . She gives great material course work! Ive learned so much from her. If you need help she has one on one zoom meetings or you can email her! Her big projects or finals depending on the class are graded harder than others so go step by step on the rubric as long as you go by the rubric youll be fine.

I have taken three classes with Dr. Towns; she has been great for all of them. I saw other reviews commenting on her grammar, and I believe she is more laid back than other professors. She isn't strict with her grading and is very flexible with assignments. She still has a passion for teaching and makes that evident in her class.

Dr. Towns was a great professor. She explained all the assignments very clearly. She is a tough grader (in a good way). A lot of writing and hands-on but that's expected for this class. There were some issues on my end for a couple of the assignments assigned but it was out of my hands and not her fault. Overall highly recommended. Good luck!

I took her online class and she is very nice. She is a bit of a tough grader but for the most part her class is not difficult and she gives great lectures. Her instructions are very self explanatory and there is not excessive reading that needs to be done in her class. I would recommend this class and this teacher to others !

She was a very kind professor. Her assignments were not hard, and the instructions were clear. Her classes do require a lot of attention, she does a lot of engaging activities, but she always offers extra credit. Her lectures were always interesting, and she always made sure her class understood a concept before moving on.

Dr. Towns' lectures were extremely interesting and engaging. A lot of class participation and partner work, but she made them all fun to participate in. She gave chances for extra credit every class. One large project - 10-15 min. presentation. Such an amazing professor and would take her again if I had the chance.

Professor Towns is a laid-back and flexible instructor. While the class has some difficulty, her passion for teaching shines through. I found Unstuckstudy and the free textbook helpful for preparing for exams. Would recommend taking her class.
