Excellent Teacher!! Explains very well and at a level you can understand.

Very poor instructor. Hard to follow. Expects way more than other cm103 instruct
If you want a good grade take a different instructor.
Do not take if lazy. Excellent Teacher. Best I've had at CC over last 3 yrs
Powerpoint notes are great. One of the best instructors. Sexy guy too!!
Fun class. Excellent Teacher. Knows his stuff.
Relates topics to real world. Easy to follow. Pay attention and you'll do well

Excellent doesn't rush through &answers all ?'s patiently w/ dedication.
very boring, mean, uses obscure references, unclear, not really helpful, either drink 5 cup of coffee before his class or don't attend it.
He's a good teacher and is willing to do anything to help, but hasn't patients for those whom ask stupid questions or don't pay attention. If you're a serious student I would highly reccommend him, if not, take Faber.

get Bill Faber instead.
MUST STUDY ALOT, TAKE NOTES AND ATTEND ALL CLASSES AND LABS. BE PREPARED FOR THE TESTS THEY ARE NOT EASY.... UNLESS YOU ARE A GENIUS
Excellent instructor! To be sucessful in this class: go to every class meeting, take good notes, and ask question. If you put in the time and work you will be rewarded.
Nice guy, willing to help if you don't understand a something and offered a lot of points of extra credit. Offers powerpoint notes online and has exam review sheets.
very hard, must pay attention, come to every class, put in tons of study time for exams.exams are really hard and lots of things on them are very tricky. very good for lab.
he doesn't help a single soul.
This guy expects a lot and is very hard. Things he has you study arent even on the test
wretched teacher. He likes to "almost fail" whole classes.
Very bad teacher! Make sure you dont have an appointment because you will NEVER get a chance to make anything up! i couldnt even take it, i droped the class after 3 weeks and didnt even care if i got money back or not.
terriable teacher.doesn't explain anything.hard
Dr. Liburd has a beautiful accent and he also seems to be a very nice guy, but is perhaps jaded with teaching low level CM students. Rarely does he actually answer your questions and he grades tough.
If you leave class even five minutes early you're marked absent for the entire time. This was the worst math class I've ever had. If you get him, switch - anyone is better than him. The final was multiple choice, but you still had to show all your work
Dr liburd is a hard teacher but he knows his stuff, i loved the powerpoint notes because i could pay attention in class instead of writing. If you actually want to learn something he is a great teacher but you must be willing to do some work as well.
Nice man, but I hated his teaching. He marks you absent when you leave early or sometimes when you show up late. Tests are the same material he covers, but half of the time the students corrected him. Seems to play some favoritism. I would get out!
I think our class interupted his soaps or something, always sat there daydreaming. Not helpful in any way. If you ask him a question, do not expect a answer but another question in return! Will mark you down huge for small errors!
Mr. Liburd is a good teacher. i just think that people don't like him because they don't want tp think. He is very nice. If you want to get CM103 get him as a professor you won't regret it.
Nice man, not meant to teach. I am sure he is a very intelegent person although teaching is not his talent. Unwilling or unable to explain questions, will even avoid inquiries. Very difficult to succed in a class without ample instruction. BORING!!!
Very good teacher. He gives great examples to help you understand what he is talking about. You can do well in this class if you studing and if you have a question just ask and he is happy to help.
Bad, had to correct him in class many times
late to class regularly, had good notes but they didn't seem to be on track with his lectures, which were disorganized and unclear.
Very hard, Very unhelpful, Very removed from the class, has favorites. Dont take his class it isn't worth it. Wiliam Faber teaches many of the same classes and is exelent.

I liked him a lot as a person, but he's just not fit to be a teacher. He seems like a smart guy that should be doing research or something. He helped me when I asked for it, but I left without figuring anything new out. All in all: Nice, smart guy, bad teacher.
Good teacher, he really wants you to do good in his class. He gives you lots of opportunities for points in his class. I had never taken chemistry in my life, and I got an A!
It's a tough class, but I think he does a good job of explaining things. I can tell that he's very intelligent, and we have some very interesting class discussions.
He is a super nice guy, but his accent is difficult to understand for a few weeks. The class was long and boring, and he marks you totally absent even if you are there for more than half the class. But super nice guy!!
he's an okay teacher...
Liburd has a total lack of coherency. If you want to see a class asked how much H, entropy is contained in a piece of fruit take him for 103.
It's not a good sign when people are coming to me to explain what he just explained. He's horrible! Rude and annoying as well...
Well, when I first saw Dr. Liburd's rating on this site, it made me bit nervous about taking him. But after two semesters with him, its obvious that many of the people who rated him here don't know what they're talking about. He's a really intelligent guy, and a great professor. On top of that, he's a nice guy too.
Loved his style! Made a difficult and boring subject understandable and interesting. I never expected to pass this course and got an A!
Well he is not easy by any means.. But he is a smart man.. I think he is just difficult to understand.. He is so smart its hard for him to if you will "dumb it down" for us... Overall plan on working hard!
Ok whoever has given him a bad rating is retarded! he was a very GOOD teacher, VERY helpful (answered every question I had, even if he had to ask me a question in order for ME to think of the answer... THAT'S HOW YOU LEARN!) If you follow instructions & aren't LAZY then you'll do fine in the class! HIGHLY recommended! Very passionate about teaching
He is very difficult and with our class he crammed in all of our assignemnt into the last two weeks of class. I never felt fully prepared for the tests despite hours of studying. If you take him I highly recomend getting a tutor. Thats the only way I passed. He is nice thou and is willing to help, but not always to the level of need that you are at
He is a very difficult teacher, taking his class will require a great deal of work, he is however a very nice guy and extremely smart. To get an A in the class you must put time into the class and study a lot, his tests are pretty difficult so make sure you know the material very well. All in all you will be more prepared for future classes.
He is a smart and good guy. But his teaching and class is the most average you can get. For tests i had to study, but not alot, he was funny, but not extremely funny, the class was not hard but it wasn't easy. I don't know what else to say, he is the most average teacher i have ever met.
Excellent teacher, most comments for this prof was very unfair, he made chemistry an easy class for me.i changed my future career from Eng. to Pharmacy due to his help, he will never make you crame anything,he gives all formulas on the test, all his test and quizes are practical applications, i truely recommend any future science majors to take him
Best Chem. teacher i have ever encounted.very smart and practical.only lazy students can rate him bad, probably some rate him bad due to his accent.excellent teacher for future science students, nothing to crame, all his test are practical,he gives all formulas on exam day. Be a student and u can get an easy A. Execellent teacher!very considerate.
Just a little boring but good teacher, litterally. Prepare notes, test, syllabus very carefully. Good update informations online.

Dr. Liburd is a highly intelligent man. Although his accent is difficult to understand at times, he is very informative and if you pay attention in class and do the required work you will get an A! The book is not necessary if you attend class.
He's a good teacher, but I didn't like how he crammed so much material on the exams to study for. Its not fair to put material on the test that you just learned a day ago.
This class was ridiculous! There is no reason the the test needs to be so hard that a majority of the class can barely pass them. I do believe that he is a very intelegent man who knows what he is talking about but I am not a doctor in chemisty and I felt like that was who he was teaching to. I would NEVER take another class of his.
ur going to have to study any way you look at it but he knows what he is talking about and is willing to help
He knows his stuff and is a very good instructor. His lectures can also be funny.
the WORST teacher in my life! Didn't give a crap about the students. We had a full class in the beginning of the semester and at the end we had 9 people left of that 9 half got C's. doesn't care. tests are ridiculous! AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL teacher!
Dr. Liburd is a very fair teacher. Every point in his class is as important as the next. He gives a chance for extra credit on each exam. He is willing to explain IF you ASK. He does require you to learn. Online homework is very time consuming, must keep on top of it. Online quiz's easy because they are all open book/internet + 2 attempts
He is a very smart, fair teacher, All homework is online with infinity attempts. Quizs online with 2 attempts, what more could you want I learned alot from him. Now Jennifer Batten on the other hand should have been an English Teacher, Love Liburd! Very Understanding, helps with anything!
Dr. LiBurd was a GREAT teacher!! I was nervous @first, but stuck with it and did great! He is very passionate about chemistry and very organized! Everything that you had to study for on an exam was on the review A WEEK PRIOR! Very organized, tests I found to be easy because of the review! I'm happy to have had Chem with him!!
Very Smart, knows a lot about Chemistry. Teaching methods make it very hard to understand methods and found it hard to get help from the professor to explain further.
Excellent lecture professor. Everything you need to know for the tests, you can get from your notes. I got an A for the semester and didn't have to crack the book once.
b.a.d. if you want an A, take him. If you want to learn about chemistry, don't take him. he teaches from a note card, using power points. I don't know if he even knows how to do most of the problems. He is a terrible teacher, but he loves the florida gators.....
I thought he was very smart and on the ball!! Loved him and learned a lot! He was hard, but Chemistry is a hard subject for anyone to get. Now Jennifer Batten is terrible, I don't wish her upon my worst enemy!
hes good.
He was unorganized, made things harder to learn than what they actually were. Its very important to be at every class, you'll miss out on a lot of notes if you miss ONE day.
I absolutely loved Dr Liburd. I really learned a lot from him. I would suggest not missing a class because it will put you behind. If I had another chem class to take I would make sure he was my professor. He was always willing to explain things again if needed. The only thing I disliked was all the homework was online.
worst teacher i have ever had. ive been on the deans list every semester at grcc and failed this class. extremely unhelpful and the reviews make him like 80x better than he is. he speaks down to you, gives you wrong answers, and his accent is horrid. save yourself and dont take him
Class is extremely hard. Lecture is boring. Tests and quizzes are also extremely hard. Can be very condescending and dismissive with questions. Had him for lecture and lab. Good luck, you'll need it!
He is an okayish teacher. He likes to laugh when people make mistakes because he thinks he is better. And he does not understand why people don't understand what they have to do when he doesn't explain in a slow way. Overall, he's just okay.
I had him for Gen Chem 2 and he is not as bad as the reviews. It obvious he has a passion for topic by how he has fun in lab and lecture demonstrations. Onhestly the people who struggled in my class were those who did not understand the math. sorry thats chemistry. Is accent is not hard to understand.
Good guy. knows his stuff. after a few weeks you don't even notice the accent anymore. lots of possible points and opportunities to score well. you better know your math.
Nice Guy However he can be hard to understand at times and his writing is sometimes incomprehensible but if you ask him to clarify it he will. Tests are very hard so fill out the study guide. The book isn't used but I highly recommend reading it as it can clear up some confusion and is helpful on tests and quizzes. Homework is easy so do it!
He is hardly helpful during lab and doesn't explain how to do the lab. He likes to get up and talk on his cell during class and leaves you alone do to the work with lab partners. Labs are very easy. There is always a quiz before starting the lab on what was done the week before and the new lab so skim the material beforehand!
Liburd is not very helpful in lab, though I've heard he's better in lecture. He just sits behind the computer and clicks away the whole time. He didn't let a girl do her lab b/c she came 2 minutes late and there was no room (some students were doing a make-up); she had to leave and couldn't do the lab. There are more helpful lab profs out there.
One of the worst instructors that I have probably ever had (and I have a BA) YOu have no idea what he wants what to study or what direction he wants you to focus in. His quizes are completely off the wall and sometimes are very specific on material that you may of just learned that day in lecture.
I had Professor Liburd for lab and he was absolutely horrible! He is extremely unhelpful with questions and doesn't grade on a rubric. When he would mark points off my labs he couldn't later explain why or what was incorrect. He sat on his computer (one time I saw him looking at pictures of Miley Cyrus) or in the hall way talking on his cell phone.
Lectures straight from powerpoint and covers the basics. Online homework and online quizzes are graded by janky software with little feedback on wrong answers and cover material beyond what is discussed in class. The tests are made up of these questions that go at least a step or two beyond any example from class. Be prepared to teach yourself.
Not a teacher i enjoyed
I feel he was a great professor. I can't say his class was easy, but personally I'm glad he didn't make it easy. He is a nice guy and teaches well, and makes it possible to enjoy learning.
Liburd can keep chemistry fresh and provide great examples. There are online quizzes and HW assignments, but he gives reminders every class. Perfect scores are hard to come by, except for the HW and some quizzes. In my opinion, his Caribbean accent suits chemistry lectures well.
Hard grader, you're only allowed to miss class three times before grade reductions begin, if you have a hard time stay in class i would not recommend this teacher, however if you are interested in learning chemistry and attend class as you should then he is not a hard teacher, his grading is hard and requires alot of detail to receive full credit.
I only had him for lab and was not impressed. His quiz at the beginning of each lab was on info from the lab report and material that most of the time hadn't been covered in lecture yet. He claimed that although it is a co-requisite to the lecture we should know the material for each week.
I had Dr. Liburd for lab only and I liked him. He's a really nice guy, very helpful if you ask, and does a good job explaining the lab and how to do it before you begin. There are quizzes at the beginning of each lab, so make sure you study it before class. I loved his accent too.
I had him for lab only. Not a very good lab instructor.
He is very intelligent in the subject matter, but also makes you figure the questions you have yourself; which deemed to be unhelpful.
This professor always held you over the class time. He did not make his lectures or grading system very clear at all. It is a tough class, and I only passed because I did really well on the homework and quizzes. I would not suggest taking this prof.
Great teacher! He's really passionate about what he does, you can tell in his lectures. It is a very tough class, and you definitely have to work for a good grade. Make sure to ask questions if you don't understand something; he's more than happy to go through topics more than once.
Had him for both lab and lecture. For lecture, he read strictly from PowerPoint and only covered basics. Everything he said was said in a way that made it more complicated. It is like he doesn't know how to explain anything. For lab, he didn't explain very much in the beginning and basically left us alone to do everything.
(I had him for CHM 120 lecture) He expects students to have some background in Chemistry. I really struggled because I have never taken Chemistry before. His tests are very tough, a lot of short answers. He isn't very helpful. I don't suggest this professor if you have never taken chemistry. Information is not organized and is difficult to follow.
I only had him for lecture, and it was very difficult for me. He goes through calculations way too fast for me to understand and jumps back and forth in his powerpoints, so it is challenging to keep up where he is. Tests are a lot of short answers/fill in the blank and many calculations. Wouldn't take him again if I could choose.
His lectures are long and note taking varies from 6-7 pages each lecture. He speaks very fast and writes on the chalk board like crazy.
I had this professor only for lab, but didn't really like him. I ended up with a B in the class, but he can be very rude. Whenever my lab partners would ask him questions he seemed annoyed and expected you to know everything. He grades pretty hard on the labs, but it's manageable. Would not recommend, but his class is passable.
I took his lab, he's hard to understand sometimes.. If you go into depth on your labs you should do fine. Read your labs before lab, there's quizzes in the beginning of class that are fairly easy but you need to have read the lab to get points. I got an A in lab and didn't try that hard, just did the labs and quizzes. NO TESTS THANKFULLY.
There is a lot of math in this class and he usually only does one math example for each topic. He even references some calc 2 math material. So if you struggle with math I would take someone else. To explain it even more, you can be exempt from the final if you have an A and good attendance, only 5 out of 30people in my class were able to do that.
he will know your name before the first day of class, pages and pages of notes every day, very tough grader in the lab. he is smart, but extremely unhelpful and rude. will run class until the last second. he calls on people randomly in class and expects everyone to understand on the first try
I think I would have liked this class if I actually enjoyed Chemistry, I just took it as a pre-req for my major. He is smart, and would have enjoyed his teaching if it had been any other science-related subject. Tests have some of the same problems as reviews, attendance is mandatory. grades very hard in the lab and a lot of work outside of lab
I had this professor for lab. Like staying updated on your grades? Sorry, he doesn't post grades until after midterm. So if you are doing bad in lab, you're not aware. Tough grader, had to play catch up towards the end of the semester. Terrible teacher.
If you've never taken a chem course before do not let this one be your first one. You have to study nearly every night if you want to do decent. His lectures were bearable, but if you have any questions about the material his feedback can be confusing. Overall, I'd say he isn't the best prof, but he is definitely willing to help you succeed.
If you can avoid having this professor for chem120 you'll be much better off. While Dr. Liburd is clear in how you will be graded, he lacks in giving the proper material for you to effectively understand what you will be tested on. There are only 4 or 5 tests per semester but due to this those tests are extremely difficult and lengthy.
I loved Dr. Liburd's teaching style. He is clear that his lectures and your notes are the best materials to study, as he doesn't reference the book hardly at all, so why study it? Yes, it is a hard class, but chemistry will always be challenging. He also gives the option of being exempt from the final exam, so what could get worse than that.
I've taken a lot of science courses and labs over my academic career. Chem 141 with Dr Liburd has been my most frustrating experience. Grading criteria is ambiguous leading to ridiculous markdowns on assignments and lab reports require more outside class time than a 1 cr class should. Conceptually the class isn't hard, but good luck getting a 4.0
He is very clear in his lectures but is merciless when grading. He is very difficult to work with if you have to miss a day of lab. Plan to spend 4-5 on your lab reports. He is very nice if you get to talk with him and ask questions outside of class. Class was easy but he is such a tough grader.
Professor Liburd was the worst professor I've ever had. His lectures will go to the last minute if not past. Wasn't taught half the material on tests/homework. His lectures are all over the place. He will start teaching test 2 material before w even take test one. The homework platform he uses is absolutely impossible. Dont take this class
For CHM 130, it was the first science class that I enjoyed. Every minute of class is used for lecture, but he explains things many times so that it is clear what we are covering. While somethings being covered are difficult, he does what he can to help students do well.
He is a nice professor but sometimes I wonder if he actually knows what he's trying to say. He explains things in such a weird way it's hard to understand. I fall asleep in most of his lectures. I used to love chemistry but after this class I can't stand it. His grading is very unfair. You might think you know the material, but to him you don't.
Mr. Liburd is a very likeable guy. His lectures aren't anything remarkable, but he really seems to care about his students. The homework is challenging, but he gives chances for extra credit, and at the end of the course he will drop a few of your lowest grades. You won't have to take the final exam if you get an 88% or above which is super nice.
I am sure Professor Liburd is a great guy but he is not a great teacher. He jumps around the chapters in the book, EX: one day you could be learning chapter 3 and the next you're learning chaper 12 and then you learn chapter 4. It's so hard to follow along in his class and the HW is hard to complete especially if u work and have other classes.
Any chem lab should be more than 1 credit, but this prof was very helpful with answering any questions. He is very approachable and accessible outside of class. Labs are as hard or difficult as you make them depending on how much you look ahead and your lab partner. No textbook; just print labs at home.
He single handedly made my first semester of college a living nightmare. He has an accent that is hard to keep up with. He MADE us buy this $45 website so we could do our homework. The website was horrible, it took 10 minutes or more just to answer one question and it was timed! Hes a horrible teacher that you should avoid if possible.
Prof Liburd is great! I had to retake his class because chemistry is hard, but the second time around he change up how he does things. He's very understanding, energetic and just a great guy. He gives 4 tests one or two will be open note and you are exempt from the exam if you get a B+ or better! 10/10 would recommend him. Don't take any other Prof
Liburb was the hardest prof I'v ever had. His tests were ridiculously hard and the average on most of the tests was from 30-50% and no grading curve was given. You would think that if most of the class was failing that would hint that he isn't doing a good teaching job. If a student was confused abou something he would just tell them to read harder
Hes a nice guy, but he makes a bad professor. He is terrible at explaining simple concepts. All the homework is done online, and its near impossible to get a perfect score. Do not take him if you dont have to.
Refused to adapt to the circumstances of the pandemic. I think its ridiculous that even though I'M PAYING TO BE LECTURED, and am required to be flexible myself in order to pass the course, he can't bother to put out a audio lecture of the material online for students to view. Doing so would have helped everyone in class immensely. Its just lazy.
Despite having to quickly change to online teaching due to COVID, Dr. Liburd did a fantastic job adjusting. He is very responsive and understanding to any questions you may have on the course material. The Homeworks/Quizzes are challenging but are great for understanding the material. When taking this course it helps immensely to study everyday.
He gave good detailed lectures that went through multiple practice problems that were likely to be seen on the homework and test. In addition, he was very open to answer questions and asked us multiple times during the lecture if there were any questions.
Mr. Liburd was a good professor. I personally didn't like the lack of communication he has with the students. I did take an online class but I've always taken online classes and I feel like he didn't want to communicate with students. His class wasn't very hard. Make sure if you take it online you have the text book and participate on discussion.
If you like a hands-on teaching style - do not take his class! I took a hybrid class and it was essentially all online. He only had pre-recorded lectures and his PowerPoint slides, which were fine, but I prefer in-person or real-time zoom classes - which I thought I was signing up for. Not a pre-recorded lecture, meet once a week class schedule.
I think that he is a very smart man and could be a great professor for a lecture based class like this. However, I do not recommend taking anything with him online, nor hybrid. You basically teach every single concept to yourself and it was incredibly difficult, I needed much more guidance. I am an A and B student and I did not pass this course.
No live lectures. Only in-person thing is testing. He will laugh at your questions live on zoom and disrespect your privacy if you private message him. He does not provide feedback on homework and only refers to keys instead of fully explaining topics. VERY inconsistent schedule (meets irregularly at a different time than on the syllabus).
Took the hybrid course. The professor was really nice and quick to respond- always encouraged students to ask questions and took time to go over them. Extremely flexible with assignment deadlines. Chemistry is a tough subject. For this course, I would recommend going through his PowerPoints, prerecorded lectures, and practice as much as you can
Only a hybrid class by technicality, due to going in person for 2 tests and the final. Felt like he constantly extended due dates so people could get better grades because his tests were so hard. Both median and average grades of the test before the final were below 50% for the entire class. If a majority of the class is failing, that's on the prof
Lectures for almost all of class and can be hard to pay attention to. There are 8 homework sets in the semester about 25 questions each with 6 attempts, quizzes are online with 2 attempts around 15 questions. Exams are difficult and cover a LOT of content. You really have to show up, participate, actively take notes, and use outside resources.
Very Knowledgeable on the subject and you can tell he has a deep understanding of the material. Quite personable and his accent is not that hard to understand. Though the material is quite difficult and the tests cover a lot of material.
Besides the fact I was 6 points away from a passing C grade, Liburd was not the greatest. If you are looking for a professor that will be able to teach at different skill levels, Liburd just simply isn't the one. Lectures drone on and on and the BlackBoard homework/quizzes were utterly impossible. Only take if it is a last resort and even then..
Y'all, I tried to take this in Fall '22 but dropped it so fast cause I knew I'd fail. He has a doctor degree, and he speaks to students as if we have one too. Lectures were so confusing and he went very fast. Did not explain things well. I didn't know what was going on. I asked questions in class, but he answered vaguely and left me more confused.
Professor Liburd seems like a very sweet person but his teaching style can be very difficult. His lectures were confusing as he would constantly switch back and forth from the blackboard and his powerpoint. He did give students a chance to redo homework but it was a heavy amount even over the 14 weeks. Will not let you leave early, even if done.
The professor and the class subject DO NOT MIX like a HETEROGENOUS SOLUTION. Professor Liburd's teaching methods can be very difficult to understand and I would find myself seeking help from other sources. Professor Liburd is a great man with great intentions but with a class average on tests being 50-70 you have to question the teacher's methods
Unless you're one of the VERY few whom chemistry comes easy to, if ur Dr Liburd you should expect to spend around 5-10 hours a week on chemistry. He's kind and cheerful however, the way he paced my class was awful. We only had a week left to go over the last 3 chapters. The final exam was made up of 50% of the last 2 chapters. LAST RESORT CLASS
Dr. Liburd is a very sweet person always smiling and happy to get to know to you. However, he is a tough grader. The final is tough. Study throughout the semester. He vey strict grader but he does drop the lowest pre-lab and lab. He also wants you to succeed and he is not afraid to take away 0.10 from. Study, listen to him, and you be fine.
I would recommend avoiding this professor. He may be better for in-person teaching, but online was awful with him.
Professor Liburd is an extremely hard and unclear grader. My peers did not pass any of his quizzes, and he was unresponsive during office hours. Study guides were not accurate to tests and quizzes, and he never gave any feedback to on the things you got wrong.
Dr. Liburd is a nice man, but he does very poorly when explaining lecture topics and elaborating further when questions are asked. He pretty much just reads over his slideshow during lectures, and left me to essentially teach myself the subject. He was always willing to offer help, but I never seemed to leave with a better understanding.
CHM100 is the easiest chemistry course that the college has to offer, so that's probably why everything was open-note – the quizzes, tests, and final exam. A nice guy, quick to reply to emails. Weekly assignments: read a chapter from the textbook, do the homework (graded for completion), and take the chapter quiz. 3 discussion boards – 2 posts each
I did lab with him a year ago. He is terrible at explaining topics, only reading off a page. It has been a year since I've done a lab so I was following what everyone else did. Instead of correcting me or the class, he decided to yell at me in front of the entire class.Very embarrassing, humiliating, and it had completely ruined chemistry for me.
Self learning class although provides clear objectives, lecutures and readings each week. Expect 1 HW asignment and 1 quizz a week. Homework is graded for completion. Is very accessable outside of class, responds to emails frequently.
He's a tough grader, but it helps you improve. He usually marks off by a small portion of a point, so little things don't set your grade back too much. He's a very kind guy and I'm excited to take his lab again this winter. To be fair though, I've only had him for lab thus far.
He's a tough professor not in a good way. I would not recommend him if you are getting back in the swing of college or being a student. He's a nice person but I didn't enjoy his teaching style. For example, if there is a 30-test question he will make 1 question have 5 questions a-e, RIDICULOS!!!
Super slow, if you don't do something his way you're wrong. Even if you're right you're wrong.
This class will be hard if you don't apply yourself and show up. If you do apply yourself and participate in class it will make a lot of difference. Homework is graded on completion and he doesn't have problems giving you extensions. Responds to emails very fast and is helpful!
Liburd wasn't a fantastic professor, but honestly, the trick is to just be locked in. Do the homework he assigns, complete the practice sheets, take notes during lecture, and be prepared for tests and quizzes. He's terrible, unfortch, at answering questions. His teaching isn't the clearest, but the resources he provides are solid and helpful.
