The subject mater is very easy (power point, Excel, website design) but he makes it as painless as possible. Kinda annoying that attendance is mandatory but that is the department's policy not his.

He is a relatively good professor. However, sometimes he drags things out in regards to teaching a certain topic.

The class was useful to learn basic office tools. However, the lecture could have been clearer and general guidelines on how to use the software would have been useful.

Solid professor, werves the class purpose well. No shenanigans, just come to class, do your assignments, and you'll receieve a decent grade.

Bernado, although keeps you in class for basically the entire period when not neccessary, is a good guy. helpful, easy, and if you go to class, youll do well.

Good professor for BADM 64 lab. Never took up the full 2 hours of class time. Easy assignments. Not hard to get a good grade in his class if you show up to class and do the work needed.

He cares a lot about every student and truly wants everyone to succeed. If you have trouble understanding the material, he will spend time with you and explain it to you. Plus, this class is easy if you study a minimum!

Darquea was a great professor. I am not particularly interested in this subject but he made it interesting.

Definitely an interesting class, and not really hard at all. Instead of just listening to a lecture, you also do practical labs using servers in a virtual environment, and learn about Exchange, AD, Apache, IIS, CMS, FTP, DNS, and more. One of the best IT courses at Mason when taught under this instructor. Very friendly Ecuadorian guy. Take him.

I had no idea there were these data visualization tools available prior to this class. Class notes were informative and professor Darquea was helpful and responded promptly to questions.I had a hectic schedule this past semester, and wish I had more time to dedicate to this class. The tools I have learned will be helpful and relevant in workplace.

Overall, Bernardo is a very good professor. Now granted that I am an IT major, I found his class very easy. Going to class is not necessary but you might miss a pop quiz here and there. Bernardo knows his stuff and does a good job teaching his students. Overall a great teacher, take him.

Awesome Professor. Will work with you if you have an issue with an assignment. Each assignment gets progressively more difficult. Key is to keep your assignments on time.

He's a really great professor, really funny. The way he explains things he tries to be interesting and not boring but the lectures do get boring. Does give random quizzes but sometimes lets you know. The quizzes are at the end of class so you don't have to be on time.

IT is not my thing but he made it easy and relate able.

Professor Darquea is one of the best instructors I have ever had. He is very helpful. Replies to his emails in a timely manner and tries his best to help you. His class was fun and very helpful. I learned many helpful tools that I can use at work and for my other class projects. Do your assignments A You don't need a book for this class.

So dont do the extra in his class basically worth no pints. This guy takes silly points off the project. A lot of work, I recommend taking IT 471 if you are trying to find easy class. Cause this class got difficult this Fall semester than the last one.

Believe the Hype! Professor Darquea is a great professor. He is very helpful if we ask him for help and always finds time to meet his students, even at the last moment. If you feel like you are struggling in class, go see him!.The only thing I would change is to make the extra credi assingnments worth more. I would definately take him again.

This class is easy, and it's interesting. There are lot of good tips about Web Server Admin, from a respected professional who's been around production environments for a while. He's not complicated at all. Labs are straight through, but pay attention to the directions before class.

Professor Bernardo's labs will teach you a lot about information visualization, we didn't need the book although the one he assigns taught me a lot. Great class, and if you do the work you'll definitely get an A or B.

Professor Darquea's IT 415 class consists of learning how to make and use visualizations. Simple class, there's work but it isn't that difficult. If you put in work and do it correctly, you have nothing to worry about. I didn't use the book. Professor Darquea is an understanding and fair instructor.

The homework is mostly lab assignments which were fun work, so nothing draining or boring. Great class and Professor Darquea managed it well. I would recommend him period, but especially if you are looking to take this course online like I did.

Book wasn't necessary. Assigned reading was of little value in relation to exercises. Expectations were pretty clear. Class was interesting which I guess is why it felt easy. TA didn't provide very good feedback on graded assignments and the delay in return made the little feedback given obsolete to try to learn fromapply going forward.

He is kind of Professor he wants everyone in the class to be attentive to the Subject and he wants everyone in class have to participate in the Practical classes and i liked it the way he teaches for Database concepts with installing all required software , this was really helpful for me to understand Database concepts in better way

Great, friendly professor who wants you to do well in the course. He promptly responds to emails, and is overall a very friendly, knowledgable person. There's no reason why you shouldn't get an A in this class, if you follow along in the syllabus.

I learned more in this class than any other IT class at GMU. You will gain valuable hands on experience with Windows Server and Linux, unlike other classes that just have you read the textbook. One of the best professors I've had. He loves what he does, and so will you, after taking his class. Information visualization is a very fun subject to explore and learn. Grades very fairly and leniently. The only issue I came across was late email responses. Other than that, would definitely recommend him, and take him again myself.

The video lectures are pretty short, helps with completing the lab assignments. Alothough some parts are unclear. Look through the textbook even though the PowerPoints make sense to help with the quizzes. Professor Darquea is a very understanding Professor. I contacted him once and he was very quick to respond to my e-mail. I recommend him!

Good professor. Very communicative and transparent. However, when taking his online class, FOLLOW THE RUBRIC TO THE T. Do this, and your grade will 100% be an A or B (at the least, assuming you put it in effort).

I had professor Darquea for IT 415 that past fall 2017 and other class prior to 2017. Both were online. Professor Darquea provides great video lectures that tells you want you need to do and gives good examples. All in all even if you're not a computer wiz, as long as you put good effort in, the class is relatively straight forward. Great professor

I took IT-415 Online this fall 2018. This class requires you to do a lab assignment each week but Professor Darquea did a great job explaining what we have to cover for each of these assignment in his lectures videos. There is also an individual project that we have to complete but this project is based on the materials covered in the labs. Take it

I took IT415 online with Professor Darquea and I loved it! Couldn't have taken it with a better professor. He replies to emails very quickly and is always ready to help. I really enjoyed this class. We learned about different types of visualizations and for both midterm and final we just had to create charts using our favorite tools. Super easy!

Great professor. Really wants us to succeed and learn in this class. I took it online so never met him directly but has videos for the lab every week which is huge bulk of the grade so do those and you Will be just fine! Take him even if WDM is not your concentration. Fun class

I took Professor Darquea's IT415 class online, and it was one of the smoother experiences I've had. He gives homework every week, but his guides on how to do them are very clear. Participation and showing that you're following the lectures are what he's after, and if you do those, then you'll do just fine.

Professor Darquea is the one of the most amazing professors I have taken at Mason so far. I took two classes with him this semester, they both was very interesting and easy to complete all the labs. He made it very easy for us and was also very helpful when I had trouble completing my labs. I would 100% recommend everyone to take him!

Fun yet challenging class. Definitely recommended if you are doing Web Dev Concentration, since the assignments and projects are easy enough but also require a lot of learning on your part to succeed.

Not only was this class well organized, but Professor Darquea offers a lot of extra resources for people who want to learn more. All of the projects are fairly easy as long as you keep up with the material, and there's a lot of creative freedom with some of the assignments (which was awesome). I honestly recommend this class to everyone!
