Prof. Pestano i think is pretty good.He gives lots of examples, is willing to help his students and he dosn't care if u miss a few classes.All in all just remember to do ALL the HW and u'll do fine on the test!

I think he is a great teacher i took his class and i first failed it . then the next semester i took him again , the only secret to passing his class is doing the homework although he does not collect it .. i think he is my best math teacher so far .

Mr. Pestano is an awesome teacher. I've never been good at math. As a matter of fact, numbers put me to sleep. I would fall asleep pretty often in this class, but I did well regardless because of how clear his lessons were. I did all of the homework and I never needed a tutor. This guy is the best math teacher ever. Take him, and manage your time.

I LOVED THIS PROFESSOR! He is energetic, gives lots of examples and knows his stuff. I really enjoyed his Intermediate Algebra class, though I don't recomment taking the class during the summer's 6-week terms.

He is funny teacher no doubt and he knows what hes teaching! His test are super short. It is extremly hard to get an A unless your either good at math or you study hard. He'll recommend to use the lab. Use it, it helped me. Honestly I liked him but I wouldn't take him again. ohh and no calculators were able to be used in this class!

This teacher is great --he explains everything very clear uses lots of examples-- he recommends the Lab use it and he assigns homework but does not collect-- the only thing I did not like was the test they are very short - first test 14 questions all the rest are 10 to 11 which makes it very to pass.no room for error..

He assigns homework that you dont have to turn in!! its for practice only. He is not boring. The ONLY problem is that his test are at the most 10 to 12 questions long if you get just a couple wrong your grade is significantly lowered. be carful.

This professor is WONDERFUL!!! Take him!!! He's very helpful, knows what he's teaching, his tests are SUPER easy and multiple choice!!! You don't have to do the homework, but I strongly recommend it so you can practice. If have an average of an A on all the tests prior to the final, you don't have to take it!!! I loved him!!! Take him!!! :)

grades are based on tests only. you get homework but he doesnt grade it and it doesnt count towards your average. very thick accent. not the worst professor, but definately not the best either.

Mr. Pestano is a very helpful and good professor overall. Sure he has a thick accent and says certain words in a funny way but I found his teaching methods to be quite effective. He's not very homework heavy, and I never bought the book for this class. However the only thing that really sucked is the 32 lab hour requirement. I recommend.

Took it in summer, never take math classes in summer. Passed with a C, I felt like I could've definitely done better if I had dedicated more time to study and do the HW. But just do your HW and you'll be fine. Good teacher though take him, has an accent but is very helpful.

He's an awesome teacher! He explains very well. If you don't understand something he will go back and help you. The only thing that sucks is your grade is based on your test grades only. If you do the homework and study you'll pass. He gives an optional final exam to raise your grade. Overall, he's an excellent professor! Take his class!

Best professor I've had, I used to hate math and be afraid of it but not anymore thanks to him. At first I couldn't understand his accent very well but when you get used to it you'll be fine. He is super nice he will explain over and over if you don't understand. His tests are short and simple. 100% recommended.

He assigns hw but doesnt collect it or grade it, your grade is based off of 5 tests, a little over 10 questions on each of them, meaning if you get 3 wrong youre looking at a low 70, and 70 is his passing grade. Do the extra credit which is 10 points and it should boost your grade into something decent.

EXCELLENT!!!! It is true he has a heavy accent but he explains every problem until you understand. If you have questions he will answer them and he makes sure everything is clear. You need to study and practice but it is not only with him, Math is practice and practice and practice. It is the only way to get better at it. Take him, he is the best!!

The class is easy and if you have a strong algebra you should take him and if you don't try your best but I know he won't take extra credit in his class only replace your lower grade in the final. The HW is on connect and it counts 10 % of your grade so the test 90% plus 10% for the hw if you did them

I personally am terrible at math and I was super scared that I would fail but Professor Pestano explains the material extremely well and never fails to help if you need it! The class is graded on test grades only though, but if you study and pay attention in class, you'll pass!

Like previous comments, if you're not a strong test taker; do not take it. Grades mainly composed of tests and connect math. I'm not the best in math but i do my best and, this class pretty much ruined my gpa. Class is pretty boring and slow. I didn't drop the class at first because i did so well on the first tests. lol the last test is killer

Has an accent but it's understandable. Very kind man, really cares for his students understanding constantly making sure you're on the same pace as everyone. There's 5 tests, multiple choice and you get ten points if you do the homework. No midterm, the final overwrites your lowest test score. Don't need the text book just the online code

Professor Pestano is great. He explains the material in very clear ways and teaches shortcuts. If you have basic math knowledge and do the online work and assignments, you will do good in this class. If you are lazy, forget it. There is a math lab to help you, use it. He gives extra credit for all tests if you assist to the math lab test reviews.

Professor Pestano is a friendly professor. He makes sure that everyone understands the material and always goes over any questions one may have. The book is used just as a review, but mainly homework is online. Be sure to take notes, and complete online assignments so you do well on exams.

This has to be one of the best professors I've taken so far. He's a very caring professor who wants all his students to pass & gives many opportunities to do it. All work will be online & is a bit tedious but it is doable. The exams are always 10 questions each & are quite easy with of course the right amount of studying & gives EC for each test.

I honestly had not learned ANYTHING in mathematics since my junior year, until I had this class. He will not go on to the next example until everyone is 100% clear, which is great, makes the class understand. Must purchase mymathlab to do homework; note-taking is crucial, it's great to refer back to during homework. Tests are usually pretty easy.

You can tell he enjoys what he teaches. He helps the students with 10 extra points on tests by doing the homework (easy) and passing with a 95% or higher. He knows what he talks about and makes the class entertaining. Has a slight accent but you get used to it after a while. He also makes jokes occasionally and isn't boring.

Listen, I'm not the greatest at math... I really struggle with it, but this guy helped me learn SO much about math. I took this professor for my MAT1033 class, very chill dude, if youre not hispanic get ready to not understand a word he says, hes latino so his english has a very heavy accent, i had his class on remote learning due to Covid-19. So it was even harder to understand him, like 5 tests and 25 book assignments. Lectures are long. But he funny

Homework consists of watching videos and doing a short assignment online. He has a strong accent but I never had a hard time understanding him. He teaches well and is organized. (Online Covid-19).

Professor Bernardo was great. He really makes sure everyone understands and is constantly asking if anyone has any questions. He doesn't assume you know something, he simply teaches from the beginning. We had homework after every class on Aleks, but it was easy and it really helped to get you better prepared for the exams. I would take him again.

Took his MGF1107 Class online and all I could say is that if you watch the videos that he puts up and take notes you will pass. I have always. been bad at math and this was the first year ive ever gotten an A in a math course. He does lecture a lot and doesnt really answer his emails. class itself was pretty easy.

This class was a super essay, sometimes it was difficult to understand him because of his pronunciation, the due day of all the assignments are by the end of the semester, but doing the hw counts as attendance every day. It is just 5 tests and the final test is optional. He is super lovely and Funny!

His class lectures are going through every example the test might present. He gives you plenty of extra credit opportunities.

Professor Pestano is the best professor you can have for MAT1033 or any math. I never received any grade higher than a C before his class. He is very knowledgeable, his lectures are clear & he gives you all the resources you need to be successful in the course. There's one online HW per section, one final, 5 CH exams, and extra credit for all 5.

Took this class in person and it was really easy. Homeworks are on MyLabMath and all 4 tests are in person, with 10 questions for each. Do the homework because he adds 5-10 extra credits to your test. He does have an accent but you can still understand him, really nice and answers your questions. Attendance is important as long as you excuse it.
