Very nice. Understanding of working student needs. Works hard in lab to make sure each student is helped. Stayed late to allow me to finish labs. Excellent teacher.

yea, the class was incredibly boring, but she did make sure that all students had an understanding of the class. she's great with answering questions, incredibly helpful.

lecture is indeed boring. i cant stand the lecture tests..not all that difficult though. lab part is easy (its extremely easy if you know Microsoft Office beforehand.). Overall, fairly easy course with Eng

as long as you go to class and learn the material you will be fine.. also make sure you do the homework assignments as they go towards your grade and help you learn .. i would definately recommend

Her lectures are easy to understand, but she sometimes gets a bit annoyed at you if you ask a lot of questions. The class itself is not hard, just pay attention to her lecters and you should get at least a B

Although class is not interesting (to say the least), Bernice Eng is helpful and easy to understand. I would recommend this professor to students taking computer classes.

I hate this class but only because it is SO boring. Eng seems like a good teacher, I feel bad for her because there is this old lady in the class that doesn't even know how to click a mouse. But yeah it's boring but easy I'm only taking it cause it's required.

EASIEST A EVER!!!! If you know how to use a computer, then you could take this class in your sleep. Professor Eng is awesome...but it sucks for her that some people in the class don't even know how to turn a computer on.

Slept through half the classes and still got an A. If you know how to turn on a computer, use a mouse and type, you'll be A-okay.

She's good, but you just have to do the work. Your grade is basically what you make it. Do the integrated projects.

Go to class, do the in-class work, do the homework, pay attention during review and you will get an A.

She makes class fun by playing games for reviewing the chapters. Great reviews for the tests. Ask for help if you need it.

The Professor was extremely cool. She was very open minded to students difficulties in the subject and tried even during tests to have us understand the subject. I would recommend anyone that likes IT, or that has to take IT, to take her classes.

Professor Eng was the best professor I had this semester! she is very understanding and makes sure you know the material before the test. Her tests are easy and on the computer (no pencils needed). I do recommend you print out the notes because she talks and goes through slides fast. Overall best professor ever!!

Took this class online last semester. She was very helpful and met with me when needed. She provides notes, test reviews, training exercises and practice tests. Just keep up with the work every week.

Great teacher, knows what she is talking about. MUST PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS. If you text she wont say anything to you but you will get lost very easily during the computer parts. Very nice teacher

This is my first online class and I was worried about it. The class is well organized and everything is on a calendar. Ms. Eng is very helpful and she met with me several times. If you email her, she usually reponds quickly. She has great reviews to prepare you for the tests. I highly recommend her.

This was a fun class. We worked as teams to review questions for our tests. I made friends in the class. I am awful with computers but she really helped me get through the class and do well.

Ms. Eng is a very nice teacher. I really learned alot in this class. She stayed after class to help students.

Easiest class of all time. Teacher was not necessarily helpful but didn't need to be. Lectures were clear enough, grading requirements were spelled out to the letter. Grading was very lax, I saw more errors with my own work than the teacher did. I'm not sure if any other professor teaches this class, but take Eng if you have the choice.

I had a really tough time during the hurricane and Professor Eng was very accomodating. She allowed me to submit alot of my work late and kept in contact with me. The grading is spelled out and she prepares you for the tests.

Ms.Eng is very easy. She gave lots of notes and examples. She was very fair in her grading. The class does alot of team projects so I was lucky to get a good group. She did fun test reviews. Take her if you can.

She is real easy going and responds back to you quickly. I took this class online and actually learned alot. I was late with some work and she let me make it up. It was an easy A. Grades were all posted so it was easy to figure out your grade.

Professor Eng let me make up work that I missed. I was gonna get a D grade but she really helped me and I got a B+!

1 of the best professors I've ever had. She's calm, patient and willing to help all the time. Grading is not hard and the way she sets up for grading is easy. Lots of extra credits. Great pace in teaching and reviewing. She puts her heart into teaching. Definitely the right professor for you.

Professor Eng is the best. I transferred into her class mid semester after my other teacher resigned and she got me caught up. She was very helpful and a very sweet lady. I wish I took her class since the beginning of the semester. If you want to take a computer science class, I would strongly recommend Professor Eng. You will enjoy her class!

I thought I knew alot about computers until I took this class. I learned alot that I can even use for my other classes. Professor Eng is helpful, plays games in class and gives extra credit. I am glad I took her class!

Comp 129 was really easy. If you show up and are awake through the lecture, its practically impossible to do poorly in this class. She gives homework every week, there are lots of tests, and a few projects, but she is a very fair grader. Also, she is very helpful if you are confused. If you try, you will do well. Easy A in my opinion.

Bernice is an awesome teacher. I really enjoyed being in her class. Her class was very basic. Fast pace, I had to go 2-3 times to the lab per week to keep up the pace. She will give you 2 group presentation in front of class. One research paper. The last test in the hardest . I passed with a 90. It was an easy Cumputer class but lots of work.

Recently I attended her online class during the summer semester and she was very clear on her grading criteria and also on how the homework works online from home and in the computer lab! I definitely recommend to take advantage of going to the computer lab on where the tutors can help you . Also take the practice tests as many times as you can

Prof Eng was awesome! If anyone says different, it would only be because they didn't want to put forth any effort. She explained every step and was very attentive toward the students. If you had a problem, she would catch you up with no problem. Awesome professor !!

Professor Eng is strict, but she works to help you succeed. She walks a fine line between compassion and no nonsense, which I love. If you are looking for a computer class which you don't have to work for, this is not it. But if you are serious about working and like a professor who will reward hard work, Professor Eng is it.

She is the best. Basically all you do is go on the computer and listen and follow her instruction and do the homework. Like this was the easiest A I had ever received. Take her, you won't regret it!

BEST TEACHER EVER!!!

Ms. Eng is the best Professor i have taken at Brookdale. I took her for Comp129 and as long as you put in the work you will get an A. There is a lot of homework but you can resubmit it as many times as you want for the highest grade. There are 5 tests in total but as long as you do the homework they will prepare you.

Took this course online. Its pretty much at your own pace. Minimal teacher involvement except for a mandatory orientation. Don't have to wait for the week to be opened but there are due dates and the tests are on specific dates and times if taken from home. Overall easy class if you know microsoft office. If not, everything is in the book.

Ms. Eng is really a nice teacher. Comp isn't the most fun class, but stick through it and she'll appreciate your efforts and work with you. She always stops to help anyone who needs help. Just come to class, do your work, and you should be fine.

I'm taking Bernice Eng's Comp-129 summer class. Bernice is a gem! She responds by email very quickly. The class is hard but take her class you wont regret it!

Took online. Self-paced and perfect! Follow the book (a must) and do the practices and you will be ready for all tests. Pay attention and look for extra credit. Participate in discussion boards. I learned so much in this course!

Taking this class fully online with Professor Eng was great! She was VERY clear on grading, everything has a due date but you can complete the entire course in one week if you wanted too. Minimal tests (3), homework (10), Training exercises, discussions (3 very easy), and it was great. I'd recommend this course to anyone. Tip: Every point counts!

She is very attentive. If you email her about any questions she responds quickly with good answers. Her class is slow but easy, as long as you follow her you'll get an easy A. She also records every class so you never miss anything.
