Excellent teacher. Reviews everything in class. Exams are hard but fair (50/50 mult choice and problems) Expects you to keep up on homework which he assigns for each class, then reviews all. 4 homework assignments for marks during term.

He is sometime confusing but just read text book do assigned questions and his assignment and you will get through it. His exams are easy if you have done homework problems.

EXAMS/QUIZZES ARE ON EXACTLY WHAT HE TAUGHT/ASSIGNED FOR H/W. Read the text, do the h/w ace the class... its very simple

bernie is a really nice guy, but 1230 is a boring course. bernie does his best with the dry material. all i can say is im very happy its over with!

This class can make you or break you. If you put the time in and pay attention to Bernie-Mac then you should be able to get an A. If you miss one class or one homework assignment, everything will go down hill and you'll become lost. Put the effort in and don't blame Bernie!

very easy class, he walks you through everything he will test you on. he assigns a few homework questions so you know what to study. just go to class, and do your homework and you will get an A. if you don't show up or do any homework you will get a bad grade, I don't know why people don't understand that.

AWESOM teacher,i wish i cud get this teacher again,,but unfortunatly he's not teaching summer sem(i guess).Very fair marker.Reasonable tests n quiz n finals.Very helpfull with each concept. Goes through the problem with u. Gives the time for u to understand each concep properly. Accepts quick answers from his class. Homework questions r main.

I want to be in his class again. But duno if he is teaching this summer sem or not. This teacher is one of the best teachers i ever had in Kwantlen. A teacher with gr8 knowledge n knows how to transfer his knowledge to his students. Very helpfull.

Really good teacher for both 1130 and 1230. People might find the class boring but material can't get easier to study than this. Go through assignment questions and you know whats coming on the exams. Tests don't get easier than this guys.

Good teacher but very dry. Thoroughly explains concepts and uses a lot of the text. Lets you know what to expect on exam.

This teacher is great! He goes through tons of examples in class and if you ever need help with a problem he's good at explaining the steps. As long as you do the homework and review the in class examples you'll pass!

Bernie is one of the best professor in Canada. His teaching methods are clear, simple, and straight forward. If you go to class, listen to everything he teaches and take notes... You will get at least a B.

Bernie is great. The only people who dont like his methods are first year student who dont think they need to go to class, open a book and actually do some work. Bernie will stay after class & go through problems with you, if you dont get it.

SUCH A CUTE OLD MAN!!! he is so helpful and truly wants you to learn :) he learns your name really fast and will interact with the class. go to class and take lots of not and interact with him. stay after becuase he is always willing to stay and help. he is ALL about his students!

Everyone who is all "Bernie is a bad teacher", should really just re-evaluate their effort in the class room. He is ALWAYS willing to help you if you just ASK. Stats isn't easy, but compared to teacher's who let you have open book, etc. Bernie's class is NOT hard to be successful in... JUST TRY HARDER.

Bernie is ncredibly helpful and willing to put in extra time as long as you are willing. Stats is hard but with extra help from Bernie and about 30 hours of studying for the final exam I earned the necessary grade to move on. Tip: Attend EVERY class, take notes, study often. University isn't supposed to be easy, put in the work and you'll be fine!

Bernie is one of the best teachers I have had. He shut the door on me once when I was late for the 3rd time in his class. I deserved it. Knocked some sense into me. He is extremely helpful and I don't know what else he could do to help his students. Very clear. Do all the assignments and you will ace the midterms. If you don't understand just ask.

Amazing teacher. I hoped he teacher other class like more higher up accounting courses...had him to Statistics and Math and he's fantastic. If you work hard and put time into what you're doing and study...you'll come out with nothing less than an A

He is a good prof. He is a little boring, but knows how to teach. Tests are really hard beware.

Bernie doesn't help make statistics interesting. I've had 2 classes with him now and won't take another. He's very helpful, but his instructions are hard to follow. Take another instructor if you want a better shot at a good grade.

Being math classes it can be a bit boring, but Bernie is really nice, very helpful and straightforward. Exam questions are based off example and practice questions - no surprises!! The odd time will say something subtle but hilarious. If you don't do well in his class it's all on you, can't blame the prof for that here.

Awesome prof, old guy, but teaches students what they need from the course and only teaches what will be on the exams. Pay attention in class and if you're not understanding anything, do the suggested rev it helps clarify the work. He's always ready to help during break on questions and during office hours.

for what the course is he's a pretty easy prof. 2 midterms, 4 quizzes and a final. he's pretty straightforward on how to do everything and will tell you want will be on the exams. you also get to make your on formula sheet for the tests.

Sometimes you might hard to understand his expression, so you better get ready to learn by yourself. Anyway, his quiz is easy and his slides are pretty helpful.

Tries his best to make sure students understand the subject. For Business stat he went step by step on the calculator on how to get the answer what buttons to type on the calculator and for what type of question, which was really helpful. Good Instructor/

He's a nice professor, goes through all problems step by step and gives examples in the textbook. His quizzes and exams are exactly like the questions practiced in class, easy grader. He doesn't give any homework, which is a downside as I wish he would give more problems for practice.

he is really nice teacher . Always happy to answer your question . Every time ask the class if they have any question. good grader .Even you can take quizzes home sometimes . Isn't it good enough . What else you want from professor .

I decided to give it a try and took BUQU 1230 with Bernie this semester. He tries his best to let everyone understand the topics that are covered since Business Statistics is on the harder side for many students. He doesn't make students do any homework but does give out review sheets for each chapter. 4 quizzes + 2 midterms and a final is perfect.
