Excellent prof! I found him to be much more clear in 1001 than 1000. He's still a very funny guy, and loves to say bloody as a colourful metaphor ... very intelligent man, but at the same time, relaxed and friendly.

Good prof. He's funny and his concepts on perception are interesting. he loves saying "bloody" and talking about sex, it'll keep you awake.
Lovin the Kenny Rogers thing. But, out of the three profs for this course, he was probably the worst at really TEACHING. Really amusing though, and he keeps your attention... But some of the questions he gave on the test weren't really fair.
He's bloody brilliant! Just don't get him started on anything regarding Buchans... he'll keep talking about it all bloody night... To be honest though, he's a really great guy, keeps you smiling... the only thing is, he talks a little to much about sex..

He's not a bad teacher but he's not the best. He's way too obsessed with sex and doesn't keep the notes up long enough.
He talks about sex and says "bloody" too often but other than that he's a good teacher. Fun to have, especially as first year. Takes the pressure off and makes you relax a bit. Sorry he wasn't there this semester.

Only saw him on distance ed. videos, halarious and makes the Kenny Rogers thing totally work. Yeah got a little too happy when talking sex, and exams were long and tricky, "bloody" hell!
I think Kenny Roger is an amazing teacher! He's very 'slow' w/his teaching! so you get to take it all in! he's 'bloody' wicked!
A little boring at times, probably because his sections of the course are the most technical. He seems nice and helpful.
He is very funny and is very easy to understand, but he says bloody too much and talks about sex and buchans way too much! Overall he is pretty good.

This teacher has this whole thing about saying 'Bloody', I don't quite understand it, but he made class fun and interesting, which was really great for someone who doesn't really like sciencey type things.
I think evryone should be required to take Psych 1000, the profs make the course...
A really funny teacher. Manages to keep me awake in the morning. Could be better if he slowed down while going through the slides so students could get the info down. Other than that, excellent prof. Would recommended people to take the course as long as he's a prof cause his classes are funny!!
I don't find him very helpful at all, I find his remarks really rude, they arn't funny when they offend people who don't like those kind of remarks in a learning enviroment, he don't give very good notes, and I am dreading the upcoming test!
He was pretty good! His section of the course is a bit tougher than the rest and there's alot of info. He puts an "r" at the end of "area"... i guess he can't help that though. He's funny and nice... you really have to read the text for this course.

okay, this guy is hilarious. mainly because he adds "bloody" to every second sentence, and because he seems to think "area" is pronounced "AIR-e-er". apart form that entertainment, he is a good prof, and he's an expert on neuroscience. i liked his section.
He goes way too fast through the material and does not give enough time for the students in the class to copy down all his notes. You really need to read the text for his section because you cannot get all of his notes. He is somewhat funny, though it is not always helpful when trying to learn.

He was confusing at times.Some of the questions on the tests were way out to lunch!They were really stretching the topic so much as they almost didn't make sense.He enjoys refering to sex in his lectures which was sometimes funny.He was good enough but not stellar.I would strongly recommend Maddidan
Too egocentric, and his relevance questions are a strech at best. He goes too fast for the notes, but has a webpag.. Wait a min, his webpage went down early in the term, leaving students with nothing but the text, yet he wouldn't fix it. Its an example of his lack of caring for his students. Get Mad
Worst of the three and that is saying something. Actually Mattigan is awesome. Rose's test, hockey questions, not relevant at all, his diagram of the brain looked like a limp ****. He goes way too fast and when I had him, his website was down and you couldn't get the notes there either. ****Poor.

comes in 2nd place out of the 3. he sometimes goes way off subject or just plain forgets what he is teaching i think. his accent makes it hard to take him serious sometimes. knows all of his material well though and is the only of the 3 to have notes on line

I found he wasn't needed for the course, I just read the book and got 80's. Read the book, do the modules, you'll be fine. I still like to call him and the other guy the Glimmer Twins! lol They are tools no doubt, but what else can yah do when theres a class with that many people, would like to see him in a small class to really know hoe good he is
havent heard tell of him since the course began haha. im doing it by distance, hes not very helpful really, he doesnt post online or anything but the course is relativly easy if you have any interest in it whatsoever. read the book and the manual and its relatvly easy to get good marks.

I did this course by distance. I found the course itself to be good, and the set up with the online videos to be good, however he was not active in class discussions. I have e-mailed a few questions to him and have yet to get a response. I have mixed feelings because although the setup for the course was good, he was not helpful.
Ok class but he didn't answer questions and was hard to get hold of the even ask questions of.
Did this course online and it was pretty simple. Course was well organized and easy to understand. Tests were fair.
Definitely do this course by distance, everything comes from the book and the material is simple. He tries to relate some questions to "real life," which can be confusing, but if you understand the material you should have no problem being able to answer it. Tests are all multiple choice.
Ok Prof but did not give any feed back on assignments or tests besides what the class as a whole did not do well on in the test Did not answer questions on d2l Might be a better teacher in class than online I asked him a question about the text book and he just told me to ask the info instead of finding out so he could answer if someone else asked
Bert designed a good course, but I left with mixed feelings. The assignments were put together quite well, but the exams could be dodgy, particularly when questions lacked sufficient directions or were based on vague reference material (eg a poorly drawn diagram of the brain). He was minorly helpful at best by email. Neither good nor bad.
