Very helpful, sits in the math lab for an hour to help students out with math. He is very approachable.

Mr Lawrence is a wonderful teach I had him for Mat 9002 and he really changed my outlook on Math. He is very patient and helps everyone, he doesn't move on to another chapter till he feels we are ready. His tests are exact info from reviews just different numbers

This professer was honestly the best iv had so far. The way he teaches the material to you is almost like you have known this stuff for years it just clicks. The test are very easy as long as you pay attention. Allways room for extra credit. i would have to say it was just a great experience.

Lawrence is so sweet! He's extremely helpful! Multiple choice tests and extra credit for showing your work! He won't ever put anyone on the spot. Professor Lawrence was pretty frusturated in our class.. he was easily annoyed but TO ME.. he made math understandable. I actually got a B with little studying. I was so excited. Be careful with him and dont take him for College Algebra, hes much better at MAT 1033

Had Bert for 2 classes. At first he seems to be intimidating, but once you get past that you can see his genuine interest to see that he gives you all you need to succeed in his class. Goes out of his way to help before and after class as well. Even if you are not in his class he is willing to help. Thanks Bert. You rock.

Very good teacher. Explains things clearly and tries to make the class fun. He also doesn't use the book (says you don't need it), is very good about responding to emails, and only makes you do half of the assignments on MyLabsPlus (doesn't like it, says they ask way too many questions). Very highly recommended!

One of the best math professors I have ever had! I hated math before entering his clssroom, and was a bit nervous about taking a mathematics course. It is clear that he really does care for his students and that his goal is not to have you fail, but instead make sure you have the knowledge you need to be successful!

Professor Lawrence is the kind of Professor you wish you had every semester. He's a really nice guy, albeit a sassy one. I had a 68% two days before the final and he worked with me to retake tests and helped me get a B. MyMathLab assignments aren't due until the end of the semester, and one test grade is dropped. I recommend him.

His office is always open to you for extra help. He stays behind and does one-on-one if you ask for it. He asks constantly if people understand. Gives lots of extra credit opportunities. If you fail it's because you didn't care enough to pass. I hate math, but got through the class with an A-

Fantastic Professor. I had him for Algebra this semester. If you want a good grade go to class, do the homework, and study for tests. He always checks to see if his students understand what hes teaching before moving to the next concept. Is available for extra help and is a good guy. I would definitely take him again if I could!

Lawrence was a great professor. I failed the first time I took pre-calc with a different professor but got a B- this time. He will explain things to you in class so everyone will understand and walks you step-by-step with the calculator (your best friend in the class). Tests are pretty easy as long as you do the HW and study even a little.

As a Junior in High School, he helped me out a lot, and not just with College Algebra but my Pre- Calc class at Fort Myers High. He's an amazing teacher who gives out lots of extra credit. Very easy to work with if you miss a class and overall the best teacher professor I have ever had.

AMAZING professor! Test reviews are near identical to the tests themselves!! He wants you to pass and is always there to help, just ask. I took professor Lawrence for both Pre-Calc Algebra and Trig this semester and I couldn't recommend him enough. He actually cares about his students. Our grades are based on attendance, about 3 tests,homework, and a final. He's very flexible with the homework through MyLabsPlus . Tests are easy and he has study days before each exam. Take him!!

Prof. Lawrence is a really great math teacher. If you ever have any questions he is welcoming to answer them unlike most teachers. He gives study guides for each test that are linked 100% to what will be on the tests. I would warn you that you can't just go by when the syllabus says a test will be because he always pushes them back about a week.

Professor Lawrence is great. Math is not my strong suit I am waiting on my final exam score I may or may not do well in the class overall but it doesn't change that he is a good teacher. He cares about his students and answers all questions in depth. Just beware that tests in his class make up about 80% of your grade.

If you're scared about taking any math class you have to take Berty. He's absolutely amazing, gives you extra credit, extra time, and will go over 1 thing 100 times if needed. He's the best teacher in that school, he really cares about his students.

He gives you every opportunity to get help in class and gives truly helpful lectures if you pay attention. I barely passed this class but that is because math is my worst subject. Bert is my favorite professor at FSW. He will answer any questions you have and truly knows what he is doing. He is so sweet and funny, you will love him! Tests weigh soooo much in this class so make sure you do the homework and ask him questions! He goes over reviews too.

I love this professor! He does a great job at explaining course material, and is happy to answer any questions students may have. His tests were fair, and as long as you studied and practiced your math problems, it should not be too difficult to get an A.

Professor Lawrence is an awesome guy! He moves pretty fast but will not hesitate to go back and re work a problem or help you if you are having trouble. He wants all his students to do well. 3 tests, all with study guides, test reviews before test days, and your final exam grade replaces lowest test score. About as good as it gets!

This professor made the class very enjoyable, for a math class. He definitely wants to see every student succeed. He is very willing to answer any question, and always mentions his availability for help. He posts his notes, so even if you miss class you can go over it at home. Just make sure to study!

He publishes lecture notes and examples, in addition to practice tests for each unit, on Canvas. I didn't go to class a lot, but I know that he gave out extra credit for those who wanted some.

Professor Lawrence is easily the best math professor I've ever taken. While there is an overwhelming amount of homework, he gives out study guides that are almost exactly the same as the tests and has tons of opportunities for extra credit. Attendance is 5% of your overall grade and if you do the study guides and homework you'll be absolutely fine!

Professor Lawrence is a "let's get to work" kind of guy. As long as you pay attention and put forth the effort, he will work with you so that you understand the material. The homework amount is decent and the tests are pretty easy. He will also make sure you are understanding the procedure whenever he does a problem on the board. I recommend him.

Took him for College Algebra, now Trig. Best professor ever. Class was difficult cause Trig is completely new to me. Has amazing study guides for each test and are similar to the tests (only way i passed tbh.) You got to study for this class. Decent amount of homework on mylabsplus, 3 tests and a final.

Don't need the textbook, and easy A if you study and complete the MyLabsPlus HW. I studied the study guides and aced all the tests, but didn't do the HW so I got a B. He is really caring and will be glad to clarify something or help if you have any questions. TAKE HIM! Took him for MAC1105 and PreCalc, he is the BEST math professor on campus!!

I took this professor for college algebra, precalculus, trigonometry, and i wish he taught calculus and statistics but he doesnt because I would have so taken it with him. HE IS AMAZING. He shows you different ways to do a problem and even with the calculator. He wont move on if the class doesnt get it. He is very flexible with grading and curves.

He will drop your 5 lowest homework grades, he will drop your lowest quiz grade, and if you did better on your final than one of your tests, he will make the grade you got on your final the same as that test and the final. He goes over everything that you need to know and gives out many opportunities for extra credit. The class is an easy A+

Funny guy, and a great teacher. He is a solid choice compared to other math professors, if you have questions and ask he always explains thoroughly. I suck at math and have felt I have had little to no problem understanding the concepts in MAC1105. Study guide is just like the test and quizzes are simple, he tells you what will be on them!

Professor Lawrence was an AWESOME professor! I previously took MAC1105 and I did not learn well with the way it was taught. Professor Lawrence takes time to explain and realizes that we arent all going to mathematicians- therefore explaining it as simply as he can. I wouldnt consider him strict at all, he just means business (with a few jokes).

Math is not my strong suit and he explains it in a easy consistent way to help all understand. Although he is old, his lectures are quite humorous and he tries his best to make learning th material far from boring. I recommend taking him especially if math is not your best subject.

He is willing to stay and meet with you after class to help you understand the material. He really likes participation whether you're right or wrong. He lectures a lot but it is because he wants you to understand the math that the calculator is doing for you and that actually helped me a lot. He also shows you a ton of calculator tricks to use.

One of my favorite professors at FSW. Gives extra credit and drops a quiz and 5 homework grades. Easy grader when it comes to quizzes and tests. Sometimes lectures are messy but he reviews things many times and will try to answer questions clearly.

Professor Lawrence was a great professor to have. Many of the reviews talk about his errors during lecture, but it honestly is not anything that causes sincere confusion. One class before a quiz I told him I did not understand the material, so he moved the quiz to the next class. I would highly recommend he was extremely caring about his student
