Miss Armstrong is a GREAT Prof she really cares about you as a student, and tries really hard to see that all students pass. She is really energetic and makes lecutres less boring. She also is a Prof at Texas A&M and will let you come to her office hours there also. She makes you work but is fair. She offers some extra credit, but does not curve.

I actually had to retake biology and right off the bat I noticed the difference between Professor Armstrong and my past professor. My grades were tremendously better and I understood the lectures. She is very thorough and truly is there to help if you get lost. I really wish I had her the first time around.

She is a good professor, but not great if you are scientifically challenged like me. I studied my butt off and still ended up with a C, because it was not always clear what was going to be on the tests. She's tough (noone in my class made an A), but she's a really sweet professor that you will learn alot from.

Dr. Armstrong is a wonderful professor teaching a hard class and she's also a prof at A&M so it's not like class is easy, but she is a very sweet lady and works w/ you to make sure you get it and she will help you if you ask for it. She is a great instructor teaching a tough subject. Obviously, a lot of actual learning must be done outside of class as there isn't much time to really explain every topic in an hour. Beth Armstrong is so understand and an amazing person. She cares about you and is always willing to help you personally. I had to go to a funeral and she checked in on me. Although I love her as a person she does struggle to explain things in a different point of view. whatever you don't understand you can crashcourse. YOU WILL HAVE TO STUDY.

She cares about how her students do but at the same time its a hard class and you have to really work for it. I took the blended class and it was a tough course. There's a lot of information for each test so you have to start studying at least a week in advance. She does give extra credit opportunities and gives you everything you need to pass the test but you have to work for it. She also holds weekly reviews and tries to help you as much as possible.

I took the blended course which was dumb on my part but still managed to pull a C. Armstrong as an individual is a very good person that genuinely cares about her students. She teaches a hard course so I believe this is why her rating is lower. Go to EVERY class, do ALL the extra credit, and study HARD.

Armstrong is a great professor. Her exams are hard so you have to study everyday!!!! Does not curve exams but gives bonus. DO EVERY SINGLE BONUS. It will add up to 5 points to your final grade! Make sure to do all homework. Her exam grades are only worth 30% of your grade. I failed every test but got a B in the class.

If bio is something you're passionate about or needed for your degree plan, take her! She's a tough grader and tends to ramble but it's because she really cares. Just listen and actually put effort into the class and you should be fine! Homework/quizzes are easy, tons of extra credit. Don't take her (or Bio in general) if you want an 'easy' class.

Mrs. Armstrong is an amazing professor. Everyone on here complaining about her either didn't make an effort in the class or are mad because they failed. This class is not easy at all. She said at the beginning that this would be a tough class, and it was. But she was very understanding and made sure that the class was taken care of throughout the semester.

I took the blended course and it was hard, but Armstrong was a good professor. Her lectures were really long and had a lot of information, but if you study you will be fine. It's a science class, so be prepared to read and study. If you're serious about being a science major, this class is for you! I feel thoroughly prepared for my future classes.

She is incredibly kind and personable. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, MAKE SURE YOU DO THEM ALL! They will up your grade and are usually pretty easy. I took the blended class which I wouldn't really recommend but is still doable as long as you watch the videos and stay on top of your work.

This professor is accessible outside of class, and is very patient. I would definitely recommend doing the extra credit she provides, and be prepared for a pop quiz everyday. In this class she expects you to learn, not just memorize material. The way she teaches helps in the long run.

BLENDED CLASS: Her tests were pretty hard, due to the fact that there were some small essay questions and fill in the blank, but she offers a decent amount of extra credit. Also, lab practicals were easier than tests, so you can bring your grade up that way.

I took a blended class for her. Its going to take hard work and dedication to pass this class. She does not do curves, she she does extra credits. DO THE EXTRA CREDITS. this class was hard but doable. she gives lots of extra credit and is flexible with you to meet outside of class. she wants to help you and is willing to work with you. go to all the review sessions, they help a lot. it can definitely be hard at times but she respects her students and wants to see you do well.

Ms. Armstrong is a very smart professor that knows what she is talking about. She makes sure every student understands her criteria and is comfortable in the course. She offers a lot of extra credit, but don't rely on it as exams are tough if you don't study enough. She was extremely nice, but also strict on work. I highly recommend taking her.

She gives plenty of extra credit opportunities make sure you do all of them because they will help you a lot at the end of the semester. I would also recommend doing all the quizzes and homework because they also impact heavily on your grade. She expects everyone to participate in class. Pro tip: attend office hours for bonus points!

It's a majors level course so the material itself can be daunting, but Professor Armstrong makes the class enjoyable. She gives plenty of extra credit options and is available for help if needed. She does a "quiz" (not graded) at the beginning of each class to make sure you understood last class's material. She WANTS her class to succeed!

Excellent teacher. She is highly organized, upfront on expectations, gives feedback, and very willing to help students. Multiple extra credit opportunities, HW assignments, and quizzes that can help boost overall grade. Provides in-depth review guides for all exams. This course is not an easy A, but you will be successful if you put in the work.

I really liked taking her class, it definitely not an easy A but as long as you try, you can pass her class. I took her 5-week blended class, so when we went to class we did a short review and worked on the labs. We learned from the powerpoints and she also gives a lot of resources and in-depth reviews and extra credits but you have to earn it.

To note prior to taking prof armstrong: Her class is a flipped class, therefore you have to watch her lectures prior to going to class whether your class is online or trad. In class you take a quiz, usually not for a grade. Taking notes word for word will fail you in her class. For Her tests you must know the ins and outs. Do the extra credit!!!

Professor Armstrong is tough but you'll really learn your stuff. You watch lecture videos at home and discuss them in class. Watch the lectures before class and do not get behind on them. There's plenty of extra credit, and she's willing to help outside of class. She's tough and no-nonsense but she really cares about her students.

Overall great. It is important to watch the lectures before coming to class or else you will fall behind. The course work is manageable, and she does provide extra credit so take advantage of it. If you do good on all the online work and lab exams, you will be able to get a good grade even if your exam grades were not the best.

Take all bad reviews with a grain of salt. From my experience professor Armstrong was one of my favorite teachers I have ever had at any level and I only knew her for a four-week summer minimester. It's true that the class is difficult and if you slack you will fall behind and most likely fail but we are in college and that is how things should be.

I took Armstrong during the summer so the class was very fast paced but she always made sure we were caught up and understood what the exceptions were. As long as you study what she tells you and keep up with the class you will pass.

I took Professor Armstrong as a blended eight weeks my first semester of college. You can do bonus points that get you an extra five points added to your final grade. If you watched the lecture videos online and pay attention you will pass. She's nice and cares about her students. It's a hard class, but she makes it possible.

Take Prof Armstrong if you want to know your stuff! she is a tough teacher but if you show you care and put in the effort youll be fine. This is a hard class in itself but her video lectures are amazing. I would not reccomend taking blended because there is hardly any class time to get work done and the work load out of class is abundant.

I had lots of fun in this class and all of the students had a great relationship with Ms. Armstrong! This course is extremely labor intensive and packed with information. If you are taking this class, take it in person. I learned a lot, and I will miss her!! It is difficult, but as long as you do the bonuses and stay focused you'll do fine.

The class was a lot of work, but Professor Armstrong provided several bonus opportunities throughout the course and on her tests. To be successful, you have to set aside the time to do the work, but she gives lots of tips and videos on how to be successful in her class, which do work if used. Very accessible outside of class for help.

Bio was by far the most difficult class that I took this semester. However, I absolutely enjoyed Professor Armstrong. She is definitely tough when it comes to grading and testing, and she assigns a ton of work. However, she is really caring of her students and she will take time to help you succeed in her course. This was the hardest class I have ever taken. In class, she has great analogies and activities to remember hard concepts. She is a tough cookie on the outside and her class is challenging but she cares about your wellbeing and wants you to succeed. My best advice is to take advantage of her office hours and let her know that you want to succeed!

Ms. Armstrong is the most caring/genuine professor I've ever had. I had a rough time in life when I was taking her, and she understood and accommodated to my circumstances. She helped me when I needed it and stayed long hours after class to help me understand material. Extended deadlines for me was a great teacher to learn from period. Take her!

Mrs. Armstrong is an amazing person and teacher. That being said, her class is no joke, and is quite difficult. It may be a hard class but this is one of those classes where you will actually learn. She makes every attempt to meet you halfway in the learning process. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to actually learn.

Expect to watch her lectures before coming to class and review during class (keeps you on track and not fall behind instead of trying to learn it all before the exam). Replaces lowest test grade w/ Final (if Final exam grade is higher).Several things are graded. It is a difficult course but she sets you up for success. Failed exams can still pass.

I was scared to take this class since so many people were saying that they had to drop the class because of how difficult the class was. The class was difficult but the professor was really caring and she gave a lot of extra credit. She teaches very well to the point where you can actually learn. You will not find a professor that cares for her students more than Professor Armstrong. She makes sure that everything taught during class is understood, and is available outside of class. There is a lot of material to be reviewed, so it will be tough to balance other coursework if taken in an 4-week span. Extra credit is available.

If I could recommend one professor at Blinn, It would be Professor Armstrong. She truly cares about you as a human and a student. She is always willing to help you if you just ask. Her lectures are great to listen to, the ones she posted on YouTube with the PowerPoints are extremely helpful. This is a hard class, so chose professor Armstrong!

4 hours of lectrure/lab went by like nothing, her way of teaching is very intriguing and gets you to think about things from all perspectives. She is strict about things like talking, phones, etc. and does have a sort of dated style of teaching, but to be honest it worked better than Id expected. Be ready to talk in class as discussions are daily.

Professor Armstrong is so good at teaching, I am sad she doesn't teach the other courses I require as I would take her again in a heartbeat. I took this class with another professor and had to drop it as I was going to fail. I then took this class with her and got an A+. The class itself is hard, but she offers so many routes to succeed! I took the BIOL 1406 (16-week) blended class and it was the best decision. Ability to watch the lecture videos was very helpful (I could rewatch the videos if I didn't understand something). The work for her class is extreme but she is very clear about what is expected and if you show that you actually want to learn then she will go to far lengths to help you! She drops a lot of grades at the end to help you and offers a lot of extra credit opportunities. Her lectures aren't great but there are lots of resources to help.

STRONGLY RECOMMEND! Yes, the class covers a lot of content, yes, it's 'hard', but she makes concepts very easy to comprehend. Requires lectures to be watched before class, but that enables her to go into depth about the harder stuff during class time. Extra credit was offered, and a few grades were dropped. Easy A if you turn in the work and study.
