For Educational Psych. Extremely nice and helpful lady. Tests are multiple choice straight from the book, 50 questions, not hard. You will do a class project and a couple other simple assigments. DON'T BUY THE CASE STUDY BOOK! You only use it once, just see if you can copy pages from someone.

She is very silly and a little off the hook! Tests require studying. Her teaching assistant is very, very helpful as well. They provide study sessions before tests and the teacher answers question before and after class and in her office if needed. Great Teacher!

Very sweet and understanding woman. I highly recommend. I'm learning so much from the class. Don't bother buying case study book, only use once. Fun Group project and 2 small reflection papers that she refuses to give any less than 20/25 on. Tests are easy. Very fun class.

Not a difficult class at all. There are 3 tests, an interesting case study presentation and a few papers (not difficult to write these papers at all). It is an interesting class, the only thing I disliked about it was when I had to take it, it was too early. Other than that, I highly recommend this class and this professor!

Class is ridiculously easy...the tests are the same every semester. Buying the book would be dumb because you'll spend $100 and never use it (wish I would have known). She is a really nice lady, her stories relate to the class and she likes to get feedback from her students. One group project which is easy as well...class can be drawn out sometimes

One of the sweetest teachers if you actually put forth a bit of effort. You don't have to participate in class but you want to anyway. Very interesting class. I thought the paper assignment was confusing but I ended up with a B on it. All tests are easy 40 multiple choice questions, even the final (which had extra credit problems, also easy).

Class was almost always fun and interesting, and if not you could text or sleep and she didn't really care. Tests are easy: five 50 multiple choice questions (non-cumulative) straight from lecture. Absolutely do not buy the book. SHe's nice and likes talking about sex.

Psychology is not always easy or interesting, but with her it is! She made everything simple and clear and lectures were always interactive. The tests were straight forward, you get smarties before every test, and she always goes over everything. The final is NOT cumulative and she never forces you to participate.

I had her for 101 last semester, and I took her for 201 this semester. She is a great teacher, likes to have a lot of class discussions, but she doesn't force people to participate. 2 papers, and tests every few chapters... great class, I would definately recommend it!

Gallihue is super nice! She gives out a lot of helpful handouts. There are just two short papers and a few tests. Read over the handouts and your few written notes and you'll do fine. I got an A and didn't break a sweat.

I do recommend taking this class. The teacher is very nice and the class is somewhat interesting. I had like 4 or 5 40-multiple-choice tests (easy). You DO have to show up for class, but she gives out worksheets to everything! reading the book is not necessary for a B but is for an A. But she DOES talk about her two sons too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My only complaint is too many videos; could've been let out early instead. Otherwise, great class. She's eager to help you understand, teaches clearly, hands out sheets, etc. It's endearing how much she cares. But no need to buy the book - I ended up only using for a completely different class! Save your $$. Highly reccommend her; easy class.

Professor Gallihue is a great professor who wants everyone to do well in her classes. I took her for 101 and 201 and learned so much each time. She takes attendance, learns everyones name and her tests are based off of her lectures. She gives you sheets with the terms to know. Tests are mc, short answer for 201. TAKE HER!

Prof. Galihue is one of the most talented teachers I've ever had! She also teaches Ed. Psych., which explains how skilled she is a relaying information. She really knows what makes people tick, and even the most boring subjects can be interesting with her spin. Her tests are amazingly easy, and she truly believes in everyone's ability to do well!

Best teacher I've had in a long time, she is very straight forward and she encourages participation and as long as you go to class and copy the notes from the board you can't fail. There are some stupid credits with the psych department, but other than that I loved the class.

Beth Gallihue is a wonderful teacher. She definitely cares about each student. I took AP Biology in high school which helped. After a month I realized I did not need to read the text; everything on the exams is said in class. 3 Exams are mult choice, final is mostly the last few chapters and then one cumulative section. not curved.

I took psychology with one professor, and it didn't work out because he was just SO boring & made me kind of despise taking Psych, then I took this professor, and she is freaking AMAZING. I love Psych now, and understand it more in-depth. If you have to take this course, go with Gallihue! You won't regret it!!

This woman knows how to teach, and is entertaining. Go to class, pay attention, don't bother with the book, put forth decent effort to study for tests and you'll do well. Her expectations and her lectures are really clear and well-organized. The final was a lot more challenging than her other tests, but follow my advice and it won't be an issue.

Professor Gallihue is amazing. The lectures are entertaining and she mixes a lot of (optional) student discussion and videos throughout them. She makes learning fun, because the lectures were so informative and entertaining I didn't have to spend an unholy amount of time studying. The papers are all about your self development so those are fun!

Professor Gallihue is easily my favorite professor I've had at Towson. She is so kind, loving, and knows what she is doing. She gives off a cool mother-figure vibe. She's an amazing teacher and students rarely missed class because they wanted to be there. Also, I never opened my book because her lectures covered it all.

i love prof gallihue. the class is super easy. three 50 question multiple choice tests, 6 credits psychology pool, no homework, final. she counts attendance, but it's okay to miss a class or too. her lectures are easy to understand and she tries to keep it entertaining. she's super sweet and you won't regret taking her even if it's an 8 am

She is one of the best teachers Ive had at Towson University. Her lectures are very clear and she always answers questions very well. She makes an effort to get to know her students names and information about them. Definitely will be taking an upper level psych class with her. If you can take her for psychology definitely do, you wont regret it!

Great teacher, I took Professor Gallihue's class during COVID and she was great. Only one weekly homework, tests are just like the homework, and we can access the powerpoints she shows in class on Blackboard.

Definitely made class worth coming to. Not a lot of work; a couple of personal papers (casual writing, not research) and tests. Classes are important for passing, but are mostly discussion-based and really enjoyable.

The best prof I've ever had at Towson! She was truly the kindest and most caring woman I've ever met. She made online learning fun and I always looked forward to coming to class. Material is interesting and practical, tests are a little wordy but all MC. No homework. If you study and pay attention its an easy A. TAKE HER!!

Professor Gallihue is so nice and cares about her students. Total there are three tests and one final that is based heavily on those chapters that are centered around it. The homework is easy and you get credit for just doing it. The class lectures are very well engaging and teach you a lot.

I love Professor Galihue, she keeps you engaged during lectures even if you have her early in the morning. Definitely would recommend this class, but if you don't go to class it's very unlikely you'll pass.

Professor Gallihue is very nice and understanding. Only 1 hw assignment per week and it is a multiple choice/fill in the blank online using the textbook. Her lectures were very interesting and the exams are based off of the textbook and her powerpoints. If you show up and pay attention, you will pass. I would for sure want her as a professor again!

She is so understanding and wants the best for her students. Her real life examples helps so much. She makes me want to come to class. Take her if you can.

Professor Gallihue is a great teacher and if you go to class you will literally be fine. I barely studied for any of the tests and I got an A on every single one. She is very engaging in class and makes 8 am's a lot easier to stay awake through.

Professor Gallihue was a pretty good professor. Every class is a lecture, but she truly keeps them interesting. Her grading system consisted of three exams, a final, and one paper with a couple chances for extra cred. She's a caring and sweet woman, but has little to no leniency for missed assignments/exams. If you study though you will be fine!

Gallihue is a wonderful teacher and makes content applicable to daily life. She is humble and relatable- and grades exactly how she says she will. She is a wonderful motivator inside and outside class and makes going to an 8am worth it.

Professor Gallihue's lectures were something to always look forward to as they always sparked conversation in the class. All of the tests are very straightforward and to the point so try not to overthink. The written paper was definitely a little harder as grading came off as being subjective. However, she is very accessible and understanding.

Professor Gallihue is very straightforward and her tests are almost identical to the chapter homeworks that she gives to if you study, you for sure will pass. Easy grade and she keeps the class interesting by engaging the class. I hated taking an 8am but she actually made it bearable for me freshmen year. You should def take her for psych 101

She is very caring, understanding, knowledgable, and experienced. My word of advice is to do the online homework and to NOT miss ANY exams at ALL costs. I missed my first exam bc I was in the hospital, and when I came back to take it the redo was an ALL written exam that was 10x harder than the multiple choice (exams normally multiple choice).

Professor Gallihue is a therapist, so she's a very qualified person to teach a psychology class. As long as you do the homework (she used SmartBooks for the class), you should get a good grade in the class. The exams are multiple-choice, so that's also a plus.

Always has interesting and engaging lectures that encourage participation from class. She is a therapist, so hearing her perspective on things is always neat. Multiple choice tests are a breeze if you stay on top of notes and review, homeworks are straightforward, and with research pool there is ample opportunity for an easy A. I enjoy this class!

Study for the exams although showing up will be 80% of the work that you have to do. She is super accessible and willing to help you if you need it. The exams are 50 points (3 of them) and the final which is cumulative is 100 points. One paper which as long as you are open enough and apply the content you should get a good grade. Loved her!!

Professor Gallihue is extremely kind and caring to her students. The class itself is an easy A if you show up and pay attention to her lectures. There is no homework and all lectures are posted online, but she is strict on attendance and it will impact your grade. It can be slow paced at times but the least stressful class I have taken at Towson

Professor Galligue was GREAT! I absolutely loved her. The class was mainly lecture based, but she made it easy to pay attention and engaged with the class often. The whole course is 3 exams and one paper. Not much outside work. Come to class and you will pass.

Professor Gallihue was my favorite professor all semester. She makes lectures engaging and her tests are easy if you study key terms and notes. She loves participation so feel free to share! Weekly homework due at Sunday 11:59pm, shouldn't take long and it's graded on completion. Don't procrastinate your research points, studies may reach capacity!

Professor Gallihue was an awesome teacher. She really does care about her students. She spreads out tests and projects which I really liked. The tests are not too bad, just make sure you can apply the concepts to real world examples! She does a lot of class discussions which can be interesting. I really enjoyed the class, I would recommend taking.

I enjoyed her class but there are LOTS of in class discussions. I enjoyed them but sometimes it just felt repetitive. She really cares about her students and the environment in the class. She does take attendance and you need to show up as nothing is posted on BB. Tests are not bad, just study your notes. Overall, a pretty good class.

Really great at giving engaging lectures but a tough grader. I also found the tests to be very confusing. Thinking of retaking the class to improve my grade but if given the chance I would take it with her again.

On the first day of the semester after winter break, I felt anxious because I was a freshman student still trying to figure out how college life was supposed to work. She helped with those fears by telling the class to breathe in and out slowly, to practice mindfulness.

Engaging lectures, tough grader. Tests can be confusing, but worth retaking. unstuck ai great for exam prep. Accessible professor, understanding grading on paper. Overall, recommended despite difficulty.

Professor Gallihue was an amazing teacher. Her lectures were engaging even at 8 in the morning. She is such a caring professor and is very understanding. Tests can be hard but if you study you will pass.

Easy class as long as you show up, take notes, participate, and study. Prof is nice but a stickler for deadlines, she will not give extensions. Lectures were engaging and informative and contained most of the test content. Textbook not required but helpful to skim to study make sure you study the key terms she gives and you'll do well on the tests.

Prof. Gallihue is very knowledgeable about psych and she shows it. She is so engaging and the lectures are very discussion based. She is always available to talk to if you need help with something, and is willing to go over tests with you. I enjoyed this class again, I wish I could take all my psych classes with Prof Gallihue.

this was my second semester taking professor gallihue and i can't recommend her enough!! this class is lecture heavy but very engaging, so you won't get bored. she's genuinely VERY nice and goes over every concept clearly. 100% take her if you can!

i reccomend her. she makes class very engaging and she is nice if you are respectful. Your grade depends on 4 tests, a paper, and a project. the class is all memorization. entire class is a lecture so take good notes because she does not post the slides. work hard play hard class tbh.

Her lectures are good, but be aware they aren't posted on BB- so go to class or ask a peer. She may be a tad bit passive aggressive to some students, but I may be biased as I had her at 8am, and I get we are all tired at that time lol. But, I think her class is great at covering the bases, and the quizzes are all multiple choice and fairly easy.

Professor Gallihue is amazing! She listen, interacts, and cares about her students. You don't need to read the text book or even buy it. She will give a list of key terms with vocab words to know for the test. If you study those and pay attention in class you will pass with an easy B if not A!
