If you want a crazy and exciting prof. this is your woman. I received a "C+" from her in 1998 ... was able to continue a friendship with her for a while. She would hang out with students in the Cafe... she is an adjunct. Very hard worker.

Frankly, the woman is a bit out of touch. Tardiness and being absent is hardly accepted even if someone died. Regarding work, anything outside the speeches are easy and as long as you present you have the opportunity to at least pass with a C. Don't think you can BS through all your speeches though.

Professor Madresh is great! She's so energetic so the class is never boring. Just show up on time and do all your homework and you'll do well in her class

This professor is tough but as long as you do your hw and participate you should het a good grade. It is mostly an oral class. Be on time and do not miss class on presentation days. She is very animated and keeps the class fun.

I was very scared at the beginning because the 1st grade I got was a C- on the first speech assignment. However, She encouraged me to improve immediately by providing tips about to project my voice and speak louder especially when you have an strong accent like I do. She is very fair . I highly recommend her if you really want to learn

At first i was a little scared because she tells it like it is right from the beginning. But she's actually really cool, funny and nice. But DONT BE LATE and get the words UMM, LIKE, YOU KNOW, an BASICALLY out of your vocab.lol I recommened her if you want a fun class while you learn!

She was very intimidating at first but ended up being my favorite professor I have ever taken. She is so kind and thoughtful. She's a tough cookie though. Don't mess up or miss a class or she will make sure that you are taken down a grade. It's a good course and I suggest everyone take her as a professor. Shes very knowledgeable. GO BETH!!!!

Really good professor. She's funny and entertaining as well. This class in general was not hard for me. The persuasive speech is probably the most difficult assignment. Just come to class and do the work. I took her for summer 2 session and I liked it.

First thing you need to know about this class is NEVER be late. It will effect your grade and she will also embarrass you in front of everyone. The first day of class honestly made me question if I wanted to take this class with her but I stuck it out and am very happy that I did. Great teacher who truly loves her students with all of her heart, but unless you are a natural speaker it is very difficult to get an A in her class. If you can attend every class and feel confident speaking then yes Def take her, but if not id suggest someone else. Love you Prof Madresh.

from a distance she may seem weird, this professor is by far the most interesting, outgoing and best teacher I have had here in ucc. not only has she kept my attention throughout the year, but she knows her stuff and can easily get her message across to her students. she may not be the easiest, but she is most certainly the best

Professor Madresh is Awesome!!!She is entertaining, fun and caring, you WOULD NOT be bored!.. is not an easy class, but if you study your speeches, pay attention to the comments, and stop the "ums" and "likes" it wont be a hard class either! 100% recommended! The book is 50$, you just need it to do an outline, you can use a copy.

Professor Madresh keeps the class entertained and helps you eliminate filler words and phrases from your speech, which is great. She can be difficult and demanding, but if you attend class and do all of your assignments, you should be fine. I would recommend her.

DONT COME IN LATE TO ANY OF THE CLASSES. Do not take this course if you want an easy A. A lot of work goes into this class. Professor is nice but is very harsh with the critiques that are given.

The professor definitely keeps you entertained for the time being, very theatrical and quirky at times. make sure you come on time because she hates for students to be late. And dislikes filter the words, basically,um,gonna and so. try and remove these words from your speech

Prof. Madresh is truly an angel. Public Speaking was one of my biggest fears but she helped me so much that I now feel way more comfortable while doing it and I can't thank her enough for that. She is a mentor and will coach you in order for you to unleash your full potential. Extremely hard class but VERY rewarding. She's the best.

She is very stern when it comes to "filler words", such as like, um, uhh, so, basically, and pretty much. She doesn't want to fail anyone at all, and finds it very hard to give F's. She can be pretty stern when it comes to feedback, but its tough love because she really does care about her students. She honestly helps you get better at speaking.

The beginning is tough, but you get used to it. Towards the end of the semester you will start watching your "um" , "likes" , and "so basically." She's tough but the critiques help you become a better speaker.

This class depends on your personality, in my opinion. The more outgoing, loud, and willingness to act a little you are, the less of a hard time you're going to have in this class. Her critiques aren't soul crushing, and she makes public speaking interesting. If you want to better your speaking skills and learn to loosen up a little, take this.

Professor is fantastic. If you're looking for an easy A, keep looking. Textbook is a must have. If you do all the assignments and show up for class, it's a breeze.

This class helps you out a lot without saying "uhm" This class is helping me speak better then I have.

I really don't know how to feel about Professor M. She's really tough grading and will bring your self esteem down by a lot only to try to bring it up again. Your average grade is probably going to be a c+ if you do your nprs and chapters good you'll pass

This course helps you improve your daily conversations, and even to speaking in front of an audience. The class helps you "loosen" up a little bit.

If you're timid this class isn't for you at all. If you want to break out of being timid this is definitely the teacher for you. Professor Madresh makes class interesting all you do is talk but don't look at it as an easy A, you have to put time, dedication and a lot of enthusiasm into your speeches. Overall she's a very dope professor.

If your vocabulary consists of um's, you-know's, like's and basically's, know that during this class, those words won't fly. Tardiness is a pet peeve; even 5 minutes, don't do it. There is a lot of homework but there aren't any tests, so I think it more than makes up for it. She is vibrant and funny as heck; makes the class totally worth it.

She's tough on her subject matter, but only because she demands more out of her students. This demand of her students will bring the best out of them but will also make some crack under the pressure.

She is very passionate and cares about her job and students. She gives enthusiastic lectures, but occasionally becomes inappropriate or insensitive to others races and moral beliefs while discussing hot topics.

You won't fall asleep in this class! Very entertaining professor! Genuinely cares for her students. Gives A LOT of constructive criticism towards your speaking. YOU CANNOT SAY 'UMM', 'UHH', 'LIKE', BASICALLY', etc. If you can't take constructive criticism well and can't learn for criticism, this class isn't for you. Otherwise, TAKE THIS CLASS.

I took her for public speaking. She expects you to publicly speak. She wants you to be loud, clear and project! Never ever say um,like, you know, basically, right you won't get above a C if you do. She never gives test, very little amount of homework, but she checks so make sure to do it. Attendance matters to her go to class. Overall I loved her.
