Below average professor, its one of the classes you have to go for participation but don't learn anything and gotta study on your own time. The tests aren't too bad cause she gives study guides and practice exams. Boring lectures filled with unnecessary info that won't be on exams
One of the worst teachers I've had. Doesn't know how to manage time properly in class. She assumes we're all on her level when it comes to learning R when clearly we're not. She never teaches it in class. The data lab is a must if you don't know R. One of the only profs to give a test the week of thanksgiving and a case study as well. Why?
Mrs. Walters is super sweet and really cares about her students. She is also really knowledgeable about statistics. That being said, she isn't great at teaching R because she assumes that students already know what's going on. Sorry Beth, love you a lot, but not my fave class.
It seemed like all year she was teaching two classes, Statitics and R Code. All our group cases and final project were on R coding, which is a very hard and specific coding program that she does not teach (which reflected in our classes Kaggle avg.). Test were fair (3) and optional final which wasn't that hard. Lots of hw and several group projects
Avoid this class, take online if you have the chance. Tests were nothing like lecture/notes, lectures were extremely boring, huge focus on R coding which she doesn't teach but you're expected to know how to do it on your own.
Take the online section or Leslie Hendrix if it all possible. This was one of the most unorganized classes I have taken at Darla. Homework was mainly R coding while in class was dull lectures regarding material (mostly) learned in STAT 206. You will need the data lab to complete all case studies because Beth will not provide help at all.
Prof. Walters is a sweet lady. Yes, the class is difficult and a bit of a mess but I think that is the department's fault, not hers. She does her best to help you and is a great resource during office hours. I would take her again for MGSC 291.
She's a sweet person, but her lectures are always so messy and unorganized bc the notes and ppts never match. Easy to get distracted in this class bc of the number of ppl in it and her not making the class very engaging (it would be hard to with all of us in there, I get it) doesn't help. Material is dry and knowing mgsc 290 or ap well helps a lot.
Somehow she has a bad rep on this website but I loved her. She learned my name and personally let me know that she noticed my responsibility and hard work. 1 of my more challenging classes but it got much easier as the course went on. Exams are exactly from her fill-in-blank notes, she drops the lowest exam and lots of easy points. USE THE DATA LAB
Lectures are heavy and inaccessible. Projects given and graded incredibly hard with no explanation on what is wrong. She gives cases 1-4 to do using R code and will not help you. She sends you to the Data Lab who does help you, but she takes points off because it is wrong even though the students are majoring in MGSC. I would never take her again.
Simply put I do not think she wants to see her students succeed. Not helpful for guidance. Send you to the data lab and then marks students down for the work that major specific students help them do. NEVER take her is you have the option.
Sweet person but that does not help students succeed in class. Lectures are not engaging at all very dry and do not help with the tests. Information on tests are nothing like the notes. The notes are not organized in any logical information, but it's not like they actually help for the exams.
She treats you like you are stupid if you ask her any questions. Even though any and all questions are justifies no matter how "stupid" because her lectures are horrendous. For your own sake do not take her class ever.
I took her class online during Covid and she was not understanding about anything. Work during her class or have other obligations? She doesnt care at all. Made the class harder once online while all other professors made class not as hard in a difficult time.
Personally I found her to be exceptionally rude and arrogant even while teaching. All her lectures seem scripted and like a robot is teaching. Uncompassionate to all, even those seeking help. Worst class I have ever taken in the DMSB. Honestly the school should be embarrassed. She does not display the characteristics DMSB values.
Avoid taking her at all costs. I went to office hours for help and got turned away to the data lab where they actually helped me. But then prof Walters told me their work was wrong and it brought my grade down. Her tests are extremely unforgiving; she doesnt cover the material on the test. Somehow she made things even harder during a pandemic
I have never attended lectures that are so inaccessible. No matter how hard you study or how much you pay attention in class the material on the test does not line up with what she teaches. She spends more time discussing her years at Chic-fil-a than teaching useful information. Somehow everything connects back to her years working there... not
Okay at teaching during lectures but the test don't see to reflect the information we learned in class. The coding assignments are basically impossible by yourself. I tried to go to her for help but she will just send you to the data lab. which is not accessible during the covid crisis. It really hurt the class grade, stay clear of this professor.
Walters does not care about the success of her students. Her lectures have NOTHING to do with any material on the exams. Studying for exams is near impossible because the lack of resources she provides to her students. If you go to her for help, she will send you to data lab. I don't know how she is still with the school. An embarrassment to DMSB.
This class is difficult, but this teacher did not make it any harder than it needed to be honestly. I was surprised her ratings were so low, if you do the lectures and homework you can get a good grade. I would recommend her as a professor.
Professor Walters is extremely lacking when it comes to preparing her students. All of her lectures are useless for exams outside of the review the class before. She takes days to reply to emails even when sent through canvas (she won't reply is emailed). She expects students to learn the material and she will reinforce it which isn't teaching.
Lectures were not very helpful and attendance did not matter. Her exams are on lockdown browser. Use the data lab for projects and case studies.
Some of the reviews on here are ridiculous. Many, many students never even attended class this semester and it shows. Class started with around 80 people attending virtually and was down to 20 by the end of the semester. Material taught in class is on the exam, and there are days specifically for exam review. Just go to class and you'll do fine.
DO NOT take her. Her lectures are practically useless for the assignments in coding (which is the hardest part), she's unclear about what will be on test, and extremely unapproachable and unhelpful. If you ask for help, she'll send you to data lab, which usually doesn't help.
Her ratings speak for themselves. In it for the pension, not student success. Absolutely take someone else. Lacks the ability to understand a students view point, flexibility, transparency and empathy.
Keeps talking about work in chick fil a. Lectures doesn't make sense, videos isn't related that much to the exam. worst professor ever. She doesn't care about students, not at all understanding about what the student needs, I don't get why she still teaches.
Professor Walters is by far the worst professor I have had at University of South Carolina. She comes off extremely rude and often talks down on her students. She is not flexible for students at all, even during a pandemic and online classes. Clearly in it for the money and has no care about student success.
This is by far my least favorite class in college and this professor does not make it any better. About 70% of her class time is spent on history of datasets, while only 30% is spent in R and with examples. She also is only able to help during her office hours. You will be learning most of this class through practice. Also lectures outside of class
Professor Walters was upbeat and gave good lectures during class. If you go to class and do all the homework/cases/projects, you should be able to get an A. It's obviously a tough class but it isn't that bad if you put in the time. She is accessible outside of class and is quick to respond to your messages on canvas.
She's super boring during her lectures so just read the textbook if you have to take her, but I'd recommend just taking with someone else. Got As on every exam but gonna finish with a B or B+ because she is a terrible grader. The group projects make no sense and she doesn't help kids out so everyone gets awful grades on them. Zero communication.
I mean she is hell to listen to. Her lectures are just her chatting to herself, highly suggest you take somebody else or are a self learner
HORRIBLE!! When I say she's the worst Professor I have had in 4 years at 2 different schools I mean it. Not helpful at all, confusing, posts videos of her reading a script instead of teaching, claims her office hours are her helping you "for free", I could go on. This class could have been an easy A, with another teacher. Please save yourself!!
Professor Walters is an amazing professor, I don't understand these reviews. It is a difficult course no matter who you take. She is passionate and knowledgeable about the subject and goes out of her way to encourage and support her students throughout the semester. Work for your grade, her class is worth taking.
This class is a lot of outside the classroom work. The way Prof. Walters sets up the class you watch lectures and do problems for homework and then in class you do examples and ask any questions. It is a very stat heavy class so if you have a good foundation in stats you'll probably do well in this class. Def go to Prof. Walters office hours!!!
She is a nice lady, but shes a terrible teacher. Class is very difficult & she offers no help. I would highly recommend taking a different section with a different professor, unless your pretty confident with statistics.
Probably the worst teacher I have ever had a Darla. She does not help you with anything even though she tells you to come to her office hours if you need help. You work with r, but then in class only talk about probability it makes no sense. Take a different professor she has no idea how to teach
Do not take this Professor by any means. She doesn't teach during the class time and expects every student to watch hour videos weekly that she doesn't go over during class. Would definitely not take this teacher again.
Worst teacher in Darla Moore. Can't go 30 seconds without talking about chic-fila.
Worst professor I've had. R is the hardest thing in this class but she barley teaches it! The online lectures deal with stat but when you actually go to class she can only go thru 1 problem in an hour. She gets side tracked so many times in class as well which wastes everyone's time. Take a different professor trust me you will thank me later.
Nice teacher but not very fun class. You have to watch videos outside class and learn the material and then when you go to class she talks about a random real world problem for an hour without doing statistics and then the last 20 minutes tries to fit stuff in. She has office hours four days a week, but her class is structured very weirdly.
She is actually the worst, I am sitting in her class as I type this. She expects us to learn everything outside of class, and then instead of answering questions during class time she rambles about the most useless things ever. Never clear what she wants on projects. Does not care about how her students do, office hours are useless, just sends away
If I have any advice to anyone taking this class will be to never take Walters. You have to go to class for attendance but the class is actually useless it has no correlation with the notes. Rambles for an hour and 15 minutes every class and you'll leave more confused than anything. You teach yourself everything. Especially R. RUN FAR AWAY .
It irritates me so much that the DMSB hasn't gotten rid of her yet. She doesn't put any effort into her teaching and it shows cause none of the students know what to do. She'll tell you to go to the data lab for help but then tells them to not help us at all?? She's probably a nice lady but teaching is not her thing at all.
I implore you not to take her class. We spend the entire section discussing irrelevant background information to problems we don't ever get to work through. Her "flipped" classroom gives her the excuse that "it was in the lecture" instead of answering your questions (and she'll use it against you too). Condescending and fake. Stay away.
Don't do it. Did not take her willingly and wish I could have had literally anyone else. Her classes are irrelevant to the material (that we teach ourselves) and she is extremely unhelpful, was extremely condescending multiple times when I asked her simple questions. Anything I learned from this class was self-taught or from the data lab.
Absolutely brutal, whatever you do, do not take this professor. Save yourself while you can. If you want to learn about Chic-Fil-A this is the class for you because that is all she talks about.
Absolute worst professor. You have to completely teach yourself with an absurd amount of video lessons every week, just to show up to class and discuss the 1% absolute most simple portion of the "lectures" for 75 minutes. Ridiculous "teaching style", especially given the difficulty of the course. Irresponsible of the school to allow this.
She relies heavily on lectures for homework, but when it's time for class she barely teaches. She doesn't give study guides for exams and doesn't spend time reviewing with you either. R is challenging, but with the right teacher, I'm sure it's manageable. I've had to go to the data lab instead. There is no way I would take her again.
She is actually the worst, never felt more lost in a class in my life.
She is the worst professor I have had at USC. Only talks about ChicFilA and teaches you absolutely nothing. Gives honor students questions to review for exams but not her regular classes. Good luck if you have her.
She is a really nice and caring teacher but... this class is challenging. I like that exams are only worth 50% which means if you do not pass you will not fail. I would make sure to do really good on the individual cases and group projects though! And I feel this class will be challenging no matter of what teacher you take! Goodluck!
Came here to write about this professor but it seems like everyone already gets the message. If your a student, do not take her. If you were forced to take her like I was, goodluck to you. If your an administrator, please do something about this.
The class is hard but if you do the work outside of class and come to class and take notes you do fine. Be prepared to participate. go to office hours and the data lab
I never wore my seatbelt on the way to class because I wanted to die before making it to her class. DO NOT TAKE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Honestly, this class just kind of sucks in general. On top of that, I have not heard any good things about any of the other professors for this course. Professor Walters is hard to learn from in class, but she is very accessible outside of class. VERY R CODING HEAVY. As long as you do all the work and go to class, you'll probably get a good grade.
Honestly this class is the same as other intro to stats classes with the use of R. Her lectures are boring and at times irrelevant, but students do poorly in this class because they don't pay attention or get help when needed. You will get a grade that reflects your work effort.
All I ever learned attending this class was how much she loves Chick-fil-a. Every single thing on the exams I had to teach to myself. The class is totally useless, might as well skip and teach yourself everything. I'd rather get curb stomped than have this professor again. By far the worst "teacher" I've ever had.
Prof Walters makes this class extremely time consuming when it doesn't have to be. Mandatory in person sessions twice a week where the entire time is spent discussing irrelevant topics and online lectures to watch before every class sometimes over an hour long. Go to her office hours to do well on cases and projects, exams are pretty difficult.
Honestly, she does not deserve such a bad rep. The tests were easy. I bombed the first one and still got an A in the class. She was very kind and helpful. A bit weird but if you pay attention in class and participate things go just fine. Group project was a major pain but fairly interesting.
im not sure why Ms. Walters has such a bad rating, shes a great professor who is extremely nice and caring and she tries to make her class engaging for the most part. her class is fairly difficult but shes a good person and will help you with whatever you need. also her lectures are a tad boring but you dont even have to watch them all the time.
Not sure what is with all of the low ratings. If you understand statistics concepts well, this class is very easy, especially if you were to take STAT 206 the semester before. The main aspect of this class is learning how to use R, which is not too difficult to do if you have good class attendance. There is a fair amount of group and solo projects.
she actually sucks
Beth was hot and cold for me. class is hard as shit for no reason. R SUCKS! All you do is code and if youre not a coding girlie like myself you will struggle! Beth is super nice but does not give you a break. She grades very hard and makes you WORK. if you get stats you'll be fine however I didnt and it sucked. good luck bestie.
Ms. Walters has really tough material to teach and I think she does the best job anyone can. Very knowledgeable and has real-world experience. I don't know of anyone that was accused of cheating. The class is difficult and you can't cut corners if you want to learn; probably lots of people do cheat and are just bitter about getting challenged.
pretty good teacher. if you do your work and don't cause any issues you'll be fine. be careful about getting answers from other people because she does want to catch you cheating. she is boring and just stands up at the class and lectures. tests are easy and short but the questions count for lots of point so you have to study to get a good grade.
The Textbook says it's required, but it's not. There are group projects, but they are pretty easy to complete. She doesn't seem to want to help before or after class with questions. Exams were much easier than the case studies and homework we did.
read the textbook and you will be fine. Challenging at the start to get used to the learning style. Get a good project group and you should be fine. This class sucks regardless of who you take but a B in this class is very easy to do. The final exam is optional, multiple attempts on some assignments and tries to get the class to engage.
Unlimited attempts on homework and cases. iClicker attendance and quiz throughout the class period, but if you pay attention you will be fine. See her office hours with questions. There are 3 group projects but the difficulty isn't bad. 3 Exams and the final (optional) replaces lowest one. If you actually try and work then you will be fine.
No matter who you take this class is hard. HW and cases (quizzes) you had unlimited attempts. Go to the data lab for HW not cases. Group projects are fine, just try your best and ask for help. The exams are hard but not at the same time. . The exams are more stat-based and less coding (just memorize the code and what it does )
The lectures are entirely statistics and the homework is entirely coding in R. R is the most useless skill I have ever learned. Her exams are 50% of your grade. The homework is on codegrade, which has a technical issue almost every time and if you get one problem wrong, then you aren't getting higher than a 70%. Good luck!
Prof. Walters clearly cares about all her students but sometimes cares a little too much. She is prone to asking open ended questions that are either so obvious they're insulting or so difficult no one knows the answer. This leads to insufferable long silences that are only broken when she says the answer sheepishly herself.
MGSC291 is a hard class, a lot of materials to learn and remember. She is very nice, sometimes give whoever answer her question free Chic Fil A sandwich gift card. The way she teaches is very boring and she expect you to know stuff.
Never stops talking. About the least important things of all time. She is very focused on the lives of students but honestly too much and rambles about stupid stuff instead of teaching. And when she decides to genuinely lecture, there is no teaching. The homework is annoying and although you get multiple attempts it takes a good amount of time.
Great professor! If you need help, use the office hours (very helpful 1-on-1). She uses iClicker for participation and correctness/attendance. If you are paying attention, you'll be fine. R is a difficult program to learn, but once you get it down, it's not bad. Unlimited attempts on assignments, not exams (multiple choice, on paper, 25Q max).
I never leave reviews, but her rating is so wildly low I wanted to clear it up. R / MGSC 291 can be difficult to many people, but she's not bad at all. Couple Iclicker questions per class, Exams are 50% of grade but not that hard if you study, HWs aren't too frequent, I didn't buy book; only con is the first 30 minutes of class she tends to ramble.
The low ratings are coming from the difficulty of the class; this class is hard no matter who you take it with. My only issue with Professor Walters is how often she discusses her use of R in her jobs when in reality no one is using R on a day to day basis. She is also slightly difficult to see for help as she just tells you to go to the data lab.
is not as much her as it is the course itself. there are prob better profs though. get ready to listen her talk about her time at chick fil a corporate for the entire class time. just do the cases and hws and honestly you can bomb all the exams. overall try and take someone else. she makes it harder than it needs to be.
This class and her can seem pretty intimidating at first, but give it a chance! I would recommend going to her office hours at least once, so can she can learn more about you! Exams weren't too bad, and if you're struggling with homework, use the data lab. Only complaint, I felt she could be more engaging, but this class is just boring in general.
She gets a really bad rep on here but overall she is not a bad teacher. Yes, there are better teachers but if you go to class and use the R scripts she uses you will be able to get a good grade. Exams are very reasonable. However, do not use any other sources to complete assignments it will flag you for plagiarism and you will get reported.
Beth is nice but don't be fooled, she'll accuse you of cheating if you have even a remote similarity to another class/professor. She rambles a lot during class and cold calls on people. She moves fast and will not provide you with notes if yours do not save. Unless you want to be stressed out 24/7, don't bother.
Get your iclickers ready. HW and Cases have unlimited attempts. Study them and quizlet for exams. If you have an A before the final, you can exempt.
Knowledgeable. Grading is combo of participation and accuracy. Saving grace is the CODING LAB. She says to follow what she is doing in r. Instead, open r and write in the documents, put the in-class code to notes on computer, and next to the code write what each variable/code means in a comprehensive way. Will make sense when u take the course.
Taking notes will help you a lot. The lectures are very confusing and long. Nothing she said made sense and her lectures got so long everyone checked out. Dreaded going to this class it was a huge waste of my time.
She yaps too much about herself and has an annoying voice. attendance is mandatory. assigned seats. won't let you leave early from class. She calls people out. no phones.
She is very self-centered lectures are very boring assigned seats i-clicker attendance necessary wont let you leave early no phones
Worst professor I've ever had. Accuses her students of cheating for no reason. Cold calls on people in class and requires attendance. Makes an easy concept way more difficult than it needs to be and has the most boring lectures. I thought I've had some bad professors before, but wow was I in for a surprise with Ms. Walters.
Fairly easy class. Go to the data lab to get help with homework & take lots of notes in class on the R scripts and you will be fine. Exams are totally fair and not even weighted that heavily (hw assignments literally make up half ur grade and have unlimited attempts). Beth LOVES to cold call on people tho, which can get annoying
She puts 15 names on the board at the beginning of class and if your name is on the board she can call on you at any point during class. So.... I really don't like her. The exams are not awful. The homework is honestly more challenging and was a struggle every week. Would recommend not taking her.
Do not take her- lectures are so boring. The class itself is pretty difficult and her lectures don't make it any easier to understand. Also, attendance is mandatory, she will put names on the board to cold call during class. Overall, I wouldn't take her again.
I dropped this class two weeks in realizing how condescending this woman is. She accuses everyone of cheating all the time and called me out in front of the class because I used code that we never learned before (I know this because I have coded in the past). She is not great at teaching and loves to talk about her previous careers. Don't take
Not bad. Exams aren't too hard, notes are easy to follow.
She puts a list of 15 students on the board so she can call on them and sometimes she just calls on random people. She's incredibly condescending and the lectures are super boring and make no sense. HOWEVER, her tests are exactly what she says they are going to be and the slides that she posts every class period are a really good way to prepare.
Not the most entertaining class, but the exams are very easy if you put in a bit of effort.
She definitely knows what she is talking about but loves to ramble and focus on graphs instead of explaining the coding we need to know for assignments. Attendance is mandatory. The exams are exactly like she says they will be, and the slideshows are a great way to prepare. She will randomly pick 10-15 names, so make sure to pay attention.
Most of her terrible reviews are from her lecture section. The honors section isnt bad, shes a really nice lady but her lectures have nothing to do with exams. Exams aren't that hard but you have to study. The homework and cases are sometimes a little hard and also don't have to do with exams. She wants you to do well and is helpful in office hours
Good professor. Will cold call and lectures are boring with required attendance. Assignment heavy. Do not use AI or Chegg you will get caught on assignments
I'm surprised by how low these ratings are. Ms. Walters is a very kind professor. She encourages class participation and is very knowledgeable. Exams are 50% of final grade, and lowest exam grade gets dropped. MGSC 291 will be a hard class regardless of the teacher you take. However, if you pay attention in class and work hard, you will get an A.
The honors section Walters teaches is definitely better than the lecture hall sections, but there are still downsides from taking it. You go into the class thinking it is an R coding class but she throws a lot of statistical terms in that you never heard before. Despite that, HW and project is worth a big part of the grade which is good.
She is happy when the class gets above a 70 average. No extra credit. Tests are worth 65% of grade and don't translate that well to notes. Specifically makes the content harder than it is on purpose.
Rambles off a slideshow for the first 45 minutes of class trying to overexplain things with statistical terms that go everyone's head, then loads R and you watch her copy and paste code for the rest of class with similar poor explanation. Attendance is mandatory every day and she picks random people every day to call on. Tests aren't too bad though
She is very nice, it is just difficult material in general.
This class is not bad. Attendance is mandatory and she cold calls. But overall if you take notes and pay attention in class you'll do fine. Lectures are pretty boring but she does a good job of explaining R software. Averaged a B on all exams but still finished the class with an A.
The other reviews rating Walters at a 4.0 are misleading and inaccurate. Walters does not care about how well the class does, no matter how bad the class average is. Condescending and rude, and her office hours don't help because she tells you to go to the data lab for any questions. DO NOT TAKE WALTERS.
I LOVED Professor Walters. This is a hard class and you get out what you put into it. I was at her office hours all of the time and she was very helpful. She does cold call during class and talks the entire time but if you take good notes, study the material outside of class, and go to her office hours you will be fine.
She honestly was a great professor. She does cold call on people, but it's really simple questions, so don't worry if that's what you're concerned about; and after that she doesn't call on you again for the rest of class. Exams are really fair, just study the slides and know codes; this is coming from someone who studies the night before exams.
If R is not your thing, this class will be difficult regardless of the professor. If it is, the class will be a breeze. Prof. Walters provides a large amount of resources for people to get help. Don't be afraid to go to her office hours!
I am 99% convinced that half of Walter's 5.0 reviews are her going in and writing them herself. if you want a good outlook on what her class is actually like, read a review that's 3.0 or lower
Professor Walters is a very good professor. She is encouraging and the material overall is just hard but if you put in the effort it is not as bad. She has a ton of office hours and wants students to actually learn the material. I would 100% recommend her class and if you participate on your own you wont be called on randomly for harder questions.
Good professor and alright class, I'm no good at coding or statistics, but if you put in the work you should be fine. The slides don't quite help you understand stuff for the exams or homework so if you're not good with coding or statistics like me, either get help from resources available or find people to study with. Very nice professor too.
Knows this is a hard class and still is bad at explaining, cold calls on people, and does not have any sympathy if you don't do well. This has been my worst professor do not take her there are better out there.
Three class sessions in and I can already tell that every single negative review on here is accurate. How are we suppose to learn and complete homework when all she does in class is ramble and then copy and paste the code? The 'notes' provided do not cover any of the formulas required for the homework, either. Only 17 more weeks of this.
Walters is not the best; she will cold-call on you and expect you to keep up with hard lectures and content. Slides are barely any help. I would go to office hours or go to the TA for help. She gives an optional final.
The class consists of two different things. Her pacing back and forth talking about something completely unrelated to the course. Or, her pacing spending 25+ minutes walking through a simple concept that could be explained in two minutes. Takes attendance every day, has a seating chart, and will tell you to put your phone away like its HS.
haven't even had the first exam yet. I just know she is a horrible teacher and extremely annoying.
not a good teacher cant keep up with her in class and she expects you to. She doesnt explain the material well she just expects you to understand what she is saying.
Walters is a really nice person, with good intentions. She's pretty sociable and she tries to make class fun, in the way that professors who like their subject think that their subject is fun. She can be condescending, but it's clearly not intentional. All of the information needed for the homework was always in the file used as example in class.
To be fair I do have this class from 5:30-6:45PM MW, but I'm not going to lie I dread going to this class. She isn't a good explainer and also treats us like we are incompetent. She spent 30 minutes trying to explain to us how to use a scantron and we are all sophomores/juinors. She is a nice lady and does give out CFA giftcards which is nice
Will cold call you, overall is a good professor but the class itself is not easy. There was a textbook for the course that I didn't really end up using. Will hold you until class is over, even if it is time to leave, she sometimes will take a while to let you get out and you'll never leave early. Some opportunities for a free chick-fil-a sandwich.
She has so much hate on rate my professor but if you show up, participate and honestly get to know her, you will not dread the class and you will like her. you get out of it what you put in. it is a very hard class, but she wants you to succeed. go to class, take notes and study your ass off and youll be totally fine.
Tbh I thought she was a great teacher as long as you paid attention in class. Yes, the course is kind of annoying to take, but she definitely knows what she's talking about and how to teach the course. Exams are not bad as long as you study, but it is a lot of information to remember. I enjoyed her, and I thought she was nice and approachable!
Walters was great! She's definitely knowledgable in her field and knows how to teach the class. I was having a few problems accessing the work in the beginning of the year and she was able to help me! Attendance is mandatory but its best you go so you can get the clicker questions for credit.
This class was definitely tough but Professor Walters was very nice and straightforward. She did her best to engage the class. The material is super difficult but exams were easier than what was covered in class. Textbook was unnecessary unless you want to read the chapters.
