she is smart cute and funny! i enjoyed my class with dr. brody and hope to have her again. she was hard but i learned so much.

She does a good job of using WebCT with her lectures. It was easy to keep up so long as you were willing to speak up in class. Tried hard to not be opinionated and respect all opinions in class.

Dr Brody was awesome. She is hard but before this class I HATED govt, she got me to think, also there are a lot of things I learned in her class that still help me in other classes.. I thought her tests were hard but I made 95 or above on all my papers. I took her for Govt 2 as did half the class in Govt 1

Online class requires lots of work... but if you read the book and write well written "in depth" papers you should be fine. You have weekly quizes, discussions, labs, and short answer quizes... so not the leasr amount of work but you have lots of choices and options for when you want to do them.

She was a very good teacher. This is coming from a person who cares Less about Gov't. I got str8 B's in the tests...she pretty much prepares u for everything...if u study, ur good to go!

I took her online course. It was not hard as long as you read and do everything on the syllabus you should be fine.

She is a wonderful teacher and really knows her politics. It is very important to study for her tests because she counts them as 20% of your overall grade. Continuing Participation, completion of your homework and studying for the exams you should do fine. I cannot stress how important it is do pass her tests to pass this course!!!

I took this class online--simple! I finished at least a month ahead. All of the quizes are open book and not timed. This was such an easy class I highly recommend professor Brody!!

Was an okay class, wasn' t interested in politics but helped me understand more than I knew...tests are kind of hard. Only bad thing is doesn't give a review sheet for tests.

Dr.Brody is as great person as she is great teacher. She has really changed my interest in GOVT. I took her in class and on line and I enjoyed both her classes. She has ussually 3 tests and quizzes which serve as a study guard. She answers all questions and spices the class with presentations, videos,simulations,and discusions. I loved her class.

I am currently enrolled in both Govt classes. She is very interested in her subject and the class discussions she assigns are interesting. Graded on assignments, not just tests, Online quizzes, options for extra credit also expect a final presentation.

Dr. Brody is smart and very interested professor. She managed to make the classes interesting with discussions, simulations, and videos. It is important to be and participate in the class she will bump the grade up if she sees the interest. Tests and assignments are important so read, study and turn in all the papers. Keep up with the news!

tests are kinda of hard..no reviews. she ended up missing about four of her classes but otherwise teaches well. Just like any other class at CCCC do your work and you will pass..

Took her online class, good class, expect alot of discussion posts (sometimes 100+), approx 3 lab essays some very tedious, must read the book and she tends to have high expectations so grading is a little harsh. Keep up with all the work you can make an A. But very bright and intelligent teacher overall.

Took online. Great class, very interesting. Maybe too many discussions but the topics were intersting so that helps. Professor very responsive and helpful. Tests come straight from teh book and online it is "open-book" so it is not rocket science. I enjoyed the class more than I expected to.

I took GOV 1302 with Proffessor Brody online. I'm really so much impressed. she is very easy in grading. never gives a low grade unless you write nothing. my only concern about her that she doe not respond email fast enough, and she requires too much online discussions. But again, she gives much higher grades than I ever imagined.she sounds sweet.

I took her online class, and it was great. It is very organized, so you can work at your own pace. Each week, you read a chapter, take a quiz online (open book), and have a discussion online. The discussions were thought-provoking. There are 3 labs that are time consuming and count for a lot of your grade, but they're not that hard. Great class!

Took her online class. Reading is a must but weekly quizzes were open book and untimed. Three large projects but easy enough if you can write. Final test was timed but mostly off quizzes so if you study those you should be fine. Discussions were extensive, but interesting. Good class.

I took both American Gov't 1 and 2. Took the first class in the classroom and the second on line. Both were great and I enjoyed the class and the teacher. She is very familiar with the subject and engaged the class in some very interesting classroom roundtables. Read the material and stay ahead of the work. Big emphasis on writing skills.

I took Ms. Brody for a summer online course, and it was definitely a challenge! I ended up with an A, but it required lots of studying. The tests/quizzes come from the book, so you have to read the chapters. Otherwise, she is fair with grading and very nice. She gave me extra points several times when the quiz questions were bad. I recommend her!

Dr. Brody is super sweet and very down to earth. Show up to class,take notes, read the chapters and you will do well. I really dreaded taking govt. class, but Dr. Brody made it interesting. If you have to take govt. then take it with Dr. Brody!

Dr. Brody is great! She is very pleasant and helpful. I was surprised how well she transformed a bland subject matter into relevant issues affecting our everyday lives. If you do the work, you will do well... and LEARN!

First online class and not bad. Quizzes are very difficult. You must read the book and really understand what you are reading. Three projects and weekly discussions required. Good glass, very time consuming. Dr. Brody is very helpful and responds to all emails. I would recommend the class.

Online class has weekly discussions, untimed quizzes from chapters, two lab papers and comprehensive final exam taken from weekly quizzes with an essay at the end. She is always quick to respond to questions or concerns. Her grading is very judicious if you do your work properly and follow all rubric. Fantastic teacher that deserves credit. Takeher

Dr. Brody is one of my favorite professors. She is very passionate about her subject and does an amazing job at making it an interesting class. Lots of good discussion/debate.

Professor Brody is a peach. The four things you need to do for this class is show up, pay attention, take notes, and study. A fair amount of work but not tedious. She makes government interesting and that's no easy task. If you want to learn this is the class for you. No slackers.

I took Brody for both 2301 and 02 in express. She was a very nice professor and wanted you to do very well and learn. I liked her personality very much. This class can be difficult if youre lazy and the tests can be difficult but study and you should do fine!

I took the express course online. She tells you exactly what you need and responds fairly quickly to emails. The book was used for every exam and discussion boards were not too bad. She is willing to help and give points back on exams if there was more than one possible answer. She seems to lean towards one opinion though on discussion boards.

Best teacher I have ever had, I was loathing taking government but she made it fun and engaging. There's some work but it's always interesting and she's big on class discussion. I really looked forward to this class every day, Dr. Brody is an awesome person she's so cute and funny her class is never boring. A life-changing experience. Take her.

Easy Class, easy quizzes...papers are reflective so pretty easy. Good discussion points, makes you think!

Fair Teacher but grades paper hard. Book used didn't have correct answers all the time and will count against you unless you speak up. This was an online course and was very organized. Had plenty of time to complete assignments.

Good teacher, Boring lectures (didn't ask for much of our input), In her hybrid class we only had two tests: one for the first 4 units, and the another for unites 1-14 (the final)... Her tests are bs (way too hard), but if you do every quiz(once a week), every vocab sheet (once a week) and discussion online (hybrid), youll get an A-

Really nice teacher. But her class consists of just lecture, not much student participation. Her tests were stupid. 1 test for ch1-4 then the final exam 5-14. Almost impossible to study for the final. Doesn't tell you when what to study. Quiz and discussion every week. If you do well on the quizzes, score highly on the two papers, then expect an A

fantastic teacher! First there are plenty of in class grades that will help you get a good grade, 2 tests both able to excel on. quizzes every week over each chapter is probably the only down side. So you have to read. She's very helpful though. Everyone should be able to get a B at leadt. You'd have to try to fail her class

Best online class ever. I took both Govt 2305 & 2306. There is one short discussion due every Wednesday, a short quiz due every Sunday, one lab and a Final exam. I do highly recommend getting the book she assigns because quiz and final exam answers are in the book, literally all you have to do is read.

Is very clear on how to be successful in the class, and not much is demanded other than participation. There is a lot of group work, not projects, and if you pay attention and participate in class, you will get an A. Class is very educational and enjoyable. She is clear about what will be on tests, and prior to the tests we did group reviews.

Dr. Brody was a really good teacher! The class is very easy if you actually read the book and participate in easy online discussions. Every week is carefully listed out in Canvas and classwork is done in teams. Her lectures are kinda boring, but it's government, so what do you expect? Although my team sucked, Dr. Brody was very understanding.

She is a great, respectful teacher. Although the government 1 class she teaches, IS A TEAM BASED LEARNING CLASS. So, if you do NOT like working with teams, DO NOT TAKE HER.

Professor Brody did a phenomenal job with an online class! Every assignment and quiz was laid out clearly. Every week there was an Inquizitive assignment due on Tuesday, a class discussion due on Thursday, and a short quiz due Sunday. No tests, except for the final, and one lab report. She was also very easy to contact and willing to work with you!

I took her online Maymester course and it was hands down one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. 2 weeks: Quiz everyday, journal every other day, discussion post every other day (respond and reply to one other person). The final is composed of questions from the quizzes. I put little to no effort in and got a 99.86% in the class.

I really enjoyed Professor Brody's Texas Government class! Since I took the class during summer, it lasted only a month and it was so easy. There were quizzes, a lab assignment, 5 discussions to complete, and the final exam, which seems like a lot, but it was all a cinch! Definitely recommend!

Took her for Texas Gov. online and it was very organized and straightforward. Every week there is an online HW assignment, discussion with peer one response, and quiz. Only two weeks varied but they were in the syllabus and she told us at the beginning of the semester. I bought a used book with access code, but only the access code is required.

I took Dr. Brody's online gov class and I loved it! Very clear grading criteria with easy to understand material. Quizzes basically every tues/thurs/sun, one final, 5 discussion posts, and one paper. Everything was manageable! Loved it, would definitely recommend taking this class!

Very organized, I knew exactly what to expect. Online, expect every week, a chapter reading, a quiz using inquizitive, a multiple choice quiz and a discussion. Not easy, but the inquisitive allows you to answer questions reading the book and lets you work on the quiz until you reach 100%.

Dr Brody is a great professor. Took her class online, enjoyed it. Homework/quiz every week, but overall loved her class. Would take her again.

If you have the chance to take her I highly recommend. She gives great feedback on everything and responds very quickly. The class is organized and she provides a safe space to voice opinions.

Professor Brody's class was very well-organized and helped me to learn a lot about Texas government. She provided clear instructions for each assignment and gave great feedback. She respected different opinions and encouraged each student to think through current issues and events critically. I would recommend taking this professor.

If you need to take Texas Government and want to do it online, definitely take Prof. Brody's class. She gives excellent feedback on all of the assignments and the grading criteria is detailed so you know what you need to do. There are weekly discussion board posts or video journals, but they're actually enjoyable and stimulate critical thinking.

This is hands down the best professor iv had. Detailed feedback on every assignment. Corresponded when I asked about furthering my education and how the assigned reading motivated me to pursue this field even further. Professor Brody is the epitome of what an instructor can do for a student.

If you take the online version of this class, it is ridiculously easy. No exams, the only thing that even remotely requires brain power is the PowerPoint presentation at the end. Prof. Brody is even lenient if you get caught using AI (not that I did. I knew someone who did.) You do usually have to make a video for homework every week.

If you are taking a political science core class, this is the teacher to do it. It took the Federal and State government classes with Prof. Brody and it was pretty much an easy A. For one class there was a "final exam" where you write a brief maybe two paragraph response but otherwise the 1 major assignment was an PowerPoint presentation. TAKE NOW!
