Mitio is a great teacher. She does grade homework. Which is awesome. Its really a no pressure class. Nice and relaxed environment.

Being awful (and I mean awful...) at math had me coming into this class with no confidence. Mrs. Mitio is a very sweet lady who takes up the whole lecture time to provide the class with examples of certain math problems and the steps. She took her time explaining. Sometimes she would do easier examples than what the homework had, but she's good!

Just great! Takes the time to explain things and does not put pressure on you. Makes you feel comfortable asking questions and uses the entire class period to explain or help students out. Grades the optional homework for extra credit which is GREAT! Having those few extra points helped out alot! Overall, nice, patient and easy to learn from

Wonderful professor! I took MAT092 and MAT120 with her, she's a great teacher. Very clear in what needs to be done, is more than willing to answer questions and help if you need it. In 092, no homework was graded but in 120 she used homework as extra credit. Tests were very simple if you had done your homework/practiced the problems.

after 10 years with no math, and a life time of hating math. this instructor made me love it!

Professor Mitio was extremely helpful in giving me a firm foundation in algebra. She explained concepts very well and used a large portion of class time answering questions. I enjoyed her class very much.

I really liked this teacher. I am not very good at math, but she explains problems and concepts thoroughly. You have homework every day, but you get extra credit if you do it. I recommend her if you need a teacher to explain math concepts step-by-step.

Ms. Mitio is really nice and really good at explaining the material. If you are respectful to her, she will be the same to you. She will not go out of her way to be rude to you! I was never good at math, but she's a great teacher.

I haven't taken a math class in almost 5 years, and I loved Ms. Mitio. She explained everything very clearly and helped me understand everything. I passed the class with an A. I would recommend her to anyone. If you want to do well in her class show up pay attention and do the homework.

I am TERRIBLE at math and I got a B with her! She explains thing sometimes too much which is good when you are bad a math! I took summer so it was speedy and we had no text book and a quiz everyday which sounds horible but it was helpful in the long run! Take math with her if you're not good at it! you will do well =]

Betsy is a wonderful instructor! She explains everything a lot which is very helpful when you don't understand some stuff. The class was extremely easy for me, though I did nearly test out of it by like 3 points, and I learned everything my last semester of HS. But she explained thing so much better! And she tells corny jokes which are da bomb!

I enjoyed coming to her class. She was very knowledgeable and cares about your grade. She wants you to do well. She is always glad to help when you have questions. I wish I had her for more classes.

Professor Mitio is amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable, and uses different teaching methods to get you prepared, whether for exams or for the next course. She let's you know day one what is expected of you, very straight forward! Professor Mitio made the course reasonable, don't procrastinate or look for the quick fix! This is still math.

FI am BLOWN away at these ratings after my own experience with Professor Mitio! In my experience, if you got left behind in class, it was because you did not speak up, ask questions, pay attention, or get off our phone. Betsy was constantly asking us questions, helping us and seeing how we were doing. It's college and not her job to hold our hand.

Lectures were sometimes hard to follow. Watching the videos and doing the homework online helped me better understand what she went over in class. If you do the homework and get a good grade, that can be used as your final exam score.

If you're a serious student than Mitio is fantastic. Mitio was easy to understand and very explanatory during lectures. She was always open to questions and asking if anyone had any. Pay attention in class, take notes, do all of your homework, and don't miss class! All of the homework was online and had great videos for help.

I had Betsy for College Algebra and I loved her as my professor. If you don't understand something she will go back until you do. Very reliable and helpful and knows what she is doing. Defiantly would have her again if I could!

Professor Mitio is a solid choice for an instructor. She is a very tough grader in this class but I think it made me better. I saw a constant increase in test scores as the class went on. One gripe I had was she will make you feel lesser if you don't understand something she believes is trivial. She will explain things well and gives good feedback.

Prof. Mitio is a great teacher! Before moving on during lecture she makes sure everyone understands the material and tries to get the class to ask questions. Her exams are handwritten and are based directly off of what she teaches in class and from the homework, which makes it easier to go to her with questions about the exam.

Great professor! I was out of class for 2 weeks bc of covid and was very behind. Prof. Mitio was a great help on getting caught up and was very understanding of my situation. Don't be afraid to ask her for help, go to her office hours if you are struggling-she will help you.

Professor Mitio is a phenomenal teacher and I would definitely take her again. As long as you show up to class and willing to learn, you won't have an issue. If you miss, you just need to get with her to figure out what you missed. I had been out of school for close to 7 years and when I returned, I was able to learn very proficiently in her class.

When she taught MAT 114, she did a good job of easing us into the course material, explaining what we're doing and how the things that we learn work, and answering any questions that the class had. There was a lot of homework, but the platform being used made grading very generous. I can't speak for every class, but this class was very pleasant.

Overall, she was very good at explaining the steps to solve the equations and problems. All you really need to do for this class is pay attention, get the homework done, and study off of the reviews to do well on tests. If you keep on top of your homework and do well on tests, you can skip the final! It's a pretty easy class if you put the work in.

She teaches very well and explains mathematics in a simple and clear way so that even if there is no basis in mathematics before, you can understand the logic behind it

I took this teacher twice, huge improvement from last semester! She loves to teach the math, she goes in depth on each topic before teaching the formula. She gives the proof then explains how to do it, The bad thing is assignments are due online and you learn through videos but she explains jn class the next day, just ask questions! ASK QUESTIONS

Professor Mitio is a good professor, just make sure you set yourself up for success. If you're not tech-savvy, this class is a good challenge. My best advice would be to watch the video lessons BEFORE the class to better utilize that class for clarifying questions. Printing out the homework and keeping ALL of it- really helped on midterm and final.

Prof. Mitio explained concepts very well and would show us different ways to do them. For the topics that we could use calculators to find the answers, she allowed us to use them, but she would show us how to get to the answer first, so we understood the foundation. She was very patient with questions and reviewed building block concepts.

This professor was amazing, she made this math class alot easier to digest than a prior professor I had. I also had her for mat114 so it also made it easier to acclimate to her teaching style. As long as you show up, participate, and do your homework, you shouldn't have an issue with the quizzes or tests she has.

She bumped up my extremely low exam grade, which gave me a C in the class rather than a D. I didn't ask her to do this; she did it out of the kindness of her heart. I appreciate her greatly. She is an incredible teacher! She answers questions with thorough explanations and is a fantastic help.
