Maddd hard for an intro class, do not take this if you are looking to fill a science requirement. She expects a lot of reading, and the tests all cover 3 chapters at a time.
nice lady, no homework..way too hard for an introductory course. im a strait A student and i am failing
she doesn't understand that this was an intro course. her heavy accent and her clearly not have a full comand of the english language makes it even harder. It's because of the cones.(that was her answer to everything).
she was really understanding. i got a B+ and didnt try too hard. shes awesome with extra credit and easy to pursuade. if you study for her tests using the website the book gives you and look at her review guides, the tests have most of the same questions. it was a helpful class!
Prof. Viegel talks in circles. At times she can be a bit fun, but mostly, her class is extremely hard and boring. She lectures on and on and much too fast for anyone to keep up. She's made me want to drop my psych major altogether. Her tests are tough and totally unrelated to what she teaches in class
I really liked professor Viegel's teaching style, she was always able to explain things very well and give real life examples. The tests aren't too bad, just study ahead of time, and know the questions from the books site, and you'll get an A!
she flips through powerpoint really fast. she is really boring and has a heavy accent. she's fairly understanding but the tests were really hard to me. i have a's in everything else and i studied so hard for her tests and still don't do well. if you take her, good luck.
She's a very understanding teacher-- wants you to do well, but her tests are very hard! I've self-taught myself all of the material for each test straight from the book-- so don't worry if you can't catch everything she says-- also here's a hint for the tests: Online quizzes!!
This was a very difficult course considering it was an intro. level. However she does want you to suceed. Do one of the in class presentations for extra credit and to let her know that you are interested in the class.
nice teacher, bit of an accent but not bad and u easily get used to it. if u take notes and skim through the book tests r very easy, mainly general questions. easy homework assignments occasionally. some interesting topics, good professor for intro to psych.
I think she's a pretty amazing professor. Her accent does not by any means affect the learning of the material, and she keeps it interesting. One of my favorites this semester.
Not EXTREMELY hard, but not easy either for an intro course. A lot of material covered at once. I don't know what people are talking about when they say the tests are easy; I do ok on them but I feel like I'm guessing when I take the test. I might have done better if I used the book, & did the reading-she says you need it, never used it & got a B.
Is a hard course definitely for inro psyc. Great teacher though. I recommend her!! Make sure you study, and do you HW and she will take care of you!
HORRIBLE....made my life hell....i had to kill myself to get the grade i did....i read and studied her notes and her tests were so random hard and her english sucked when it came to writing a test...she hates the united states and makes it known...dont take her if u dont want to be stressed all the time
SUCH a hard class! i've taken psych classes before but this one by far was hard. the test are so random and hard. powerpoints are pretty useless. didnt use the book until the final. very few grades other than homework. two projects, midterm, and final. studied really hard and barely made a B-
Definately try to get this class if you're into psych. She's very helpful and really wants her students to do well. There's a fair amount of homework, but it's all easy and if you do it right, you're grade will greatly improve. She requires a few group projects, so be prepared to work with others, and always use the book and ppt to study for tests.
The hardest part about this course was the multiple choice tests. We had just 2 - midterm and final. They covered a ridiculous amount of material almost impossible to study for. Her lectures are straight from the power point presentation provided by the book which are also posted online but class is mandatory. She is quite the character
I got an A- in this class and I'll tell you how to do it. Do all of your homework, its a large portion of your grade. Get in a good group for projects with people that will actually do work cuz this is also a large portion of grade. Also, I HIGHLY recommend buyin the study guide. Almost all of the test questions come from here and online!
Probably the only teacher I've had at CofC that didn't seem to give a s*** about her students. I think as a freshman i got shell shocked by how off putting she is and it really turned me off to psych, which i was intending to be my major. She Made an interesting subject really boring. Do your homework/ show up or you're screwed.
BORINGGGG! nothing but powerpoints...hard to stay awake. do the homework. do the projects. she's got a german accent, so at times its difficult to understand. don't take it if you're not interested in psyc...
DO NOT TAKE HER! Homework worksheets given daily and you have to go find them online and print them out yourselves. She grades them for accuracy. Very unreasonable with attendance, All of my absences had school excuses and she didn't care. Never returns emails, thick accent, impossible exams, I put in hours of studying for C's.
Great teacher. Do the work. Homework is super easy! Powerpoints spell everything out for you. Note taking is not necessary. Good textbook with useful online study materials. Gave xtra credit opportunity if you needed. This is a freshman level class, but its still college, don't be afraid to take, but take seriously. Recommend!
A lot of material. Lectures the whole class. Exams detailed and a little difficult. She is VERY helpful: answers emails promptly, very knowledgeable, offers a few points of extra credit for each exam, offers a project in place of an exam grade. Has a German accent, but is easy to understand. TAKE HER CLASS!
psych itself was awesome but i ended up teaching it all to myself by taking hours of notes in the textbook because her class was literally a snooze. but shes nice and gives lots of extra credit oppurtunities, not easy A at all though i study for hours on end and pulled out a C+
College is a time for independent study, not a time for being spoon-fed answers. Prof. Veigel teaches you this disipline. At the same time, she is very willing to answer any questions or meet during office hours for extra help. Lots of extra credit opportunities.
nice, funny, realistic. does case studies in the class to apply material to real life. does not assign reading assignments because she expects us to read the chapters as she goes over each one in class. she uses material from the book that she does not cover in class on tests, so you have to read the book, whether she assigns it or not
Very nice and funny. Her class is not easy. You do need to read the chapters, which are very long. And you definitely need to study. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunity, and will meet with you if you need help. She wants you to succeed, but you really need to study in this class. Her final is cumulative.
Dr. Veigel is probably the most boring class I have ever taken, and she is completely useless if you like to learn from class. I only went to class was because it was mandatory. I never payed attention though and I got an A. As long as you study her powerpoints & do her extra credit you'll be fine. I HIGHLY recommend the study guide with the book.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS WOMAN! She definitely doesn't spoon feed you, she expects you to do a good amount of independent study, but it's a much better way to learn. I haven't ready much of the book, but I definitely use it as a reference. Tests are difficult if you don't know the material so make sure you use the study guide book AND print her pwrpt
Horrible teacher, I end up teaching myself everything before the test. Hard to understand sometimes because of her thick accent. Everyone in the class isn't doing well and doesn't do much to change that. Doesn't give homework but occasional extra credit that isn't very clear.
Great prof, good sense of humor, easy class if you complete the readings in the text. She also assigns numerous extra credit opportunities. Power points are slightly confusing, but otherwise very helpful, especially with semester research project. Very approachable, and overall a great teacher. Would definitely recommend her!
Prof. Veigel sucks. Her class is survivable, (even easy)if you study the book out of class (ALOT), and read her power points. Class time is a joke but attendance is mandatory. Her class is boring, I think into to Psyc could be much more fun if it were taught by someone else. In short, if you have the option to choose someone else, do.
Her class is so boring. She constantly talks and does not keep track of the time. When she gives projects her instructions are vague for everything. If you have to take her class be prepared to teach yourself.
Professor Veigel is a middle aged German woman, with a noticeable accent and the razor whit of a six year old autistic child. Her class is difficult, but what turned me off about her was her elaborate multiple choice questions. I was especially frustrated when her questions had more than one correct answer, leaving us to choose the ?most correct.?
Do not choose her, biggest mistake and my first semester of college. She keeps you to time is up or past it. Her lecture is quite boring and puts me to sleep. Now the tests, even worse. Sometimes the practice tests help for a question or 2 on the exam. Mostly it is finite details that she usually does not even cover in her lecture. Save your self.
Extremely boring class and test arent easy, seems like you know none of the information on them.
Tests are not laid out in the way she lays out her powerpoints and study guides. She doesnt concept based test but does a memory based notes and study guides. Not to mention her class is very boring. she needs to come up with a way to make it more of a class and less of a power point presentation. reading the book helps.
This professor really made this class difficult to bear, especially since I was really looking forward to learning more about the topic. She read off a powerpoint every class, and I ended up having to teach myself whole chapters for the tests, since there were no study guides or references for what would be on it. Don't take her.
Veigel is one of the most helpful professors I've ever had - she doesn't play games when you go to her with a question. The tests were a big downside of this class (hard to study for), but the activities are easy and count for two test grades. There is a project, but she is SUPER lenient with the grading, and there is no final!
You can tell she loves Psych, but all she does is a long powerpoint that the tests are not based off. I read the chapters (focusing on the vocab) and I made Bs on the tests. There is no final, but you do have to have a project that you present in front of the whole class. She is very vague on the project. I liked her, but won't take again.
Veigel is simply not a good teacher. You learn nothing from her class and her tests are on material she has never even talked about. However, she will work with you and give extra credit and you can end with a good grade. If you actually want to learn something though don't take her.
She is the worst teacher I have ever seen teach. The actual class is dreadful, she stands up there and flys through super long power points and her tests are whacky. Do yourself a favor and make sure you never ever take her! EVER
Class is very difficult, cannot understand her German accent. Too much unnecessary work involved and it's very hard to make a good grade.
don't learn anything in class but if you read and do the extra credit your solid
EXTREMELY helpful. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. If you read the text book and study notes, the test comes right from that so you'll do fine. Aplia assignments=huge part of grade so do well! She will let you drop the two lowest scores of aplia, though.
Not being able to understand her is an exaggeration. Sometimes you may chuckle at how she says a word, but you can always understand her. THIS CLASS IS NOT THAT HARD. Those who say it is must not have put in much effort. She offers a lot of extra credit it. DO ALL OF IT. A 95% gets you exempt from final. I didn't even do all the EC & I am exempt.
This class is hard for an Intro class, but it's not because of the professor, just the way the class is set up. Veigel really wants you to be successful in the class and offers so much extra credit which really helps your grade, especially on the tests. All her powerpoints are online and she usually explains everything really well in class.
Bettina is one of the toughest professors I've ever had. She's opinionated and doesn't really care what you think. She has a sharp tongue and sharp wit. Your feelings will probably get hurt at some point. The only fun part of her class is listening to random phrases she makes up or trying to figure out what word she's mispronouncing.
She is a good professor and is easy to understand. The applia homework is an easy to use system. If you need help she is very willing to accommodate.
She is a really boring teacher. She does a powerpoint lecture everyday. I would bring your computer to play games. Aplia homework is annoying and you basically teach yourself the course, but she does offer a lot of extra credit that can really help your grade out. I wouldn't take her if you're expecting an easy A
not helpfull
Professor Veigel wants you to succeed but she is very very hard. The tests are all difficult and it is hard to perform well in her class. She offers a lot of extra credit and her notes are helpful. She keeps things a little interesting for the most part with her video clips.
Don't let people scare you! She's extremely smart and knows what she's talking about. The classes can get boring because it's just lecture but she offers extra credit for every chapter-DO IT. You cannot breeze through this class. The exams are not common sense; they are almost strictly application. She's not mean and she will laugh with you :)
Only take her class if you really want to learn psychology. I don't want to go into psychology and it was miserable for me.
She's an okay teacher. If you're interest in psychology the class will be interesting. She's not a super easy teacher but if you do the extra credit and go over the powerpoints over and over again to study, you will get an A or B on her tests and in the class.
So easy if you read, and the extra credit is super easy to do.
Veigel is nice, helpful, and understanding. I would only suggest taking this course if you are interested in psychology. Work is fairly easy and assignments are usually clear. Test are a little challenging but nothing ridiculous. I enjoyed this course.
She's pretty disorganized but has a heart of gold. Her accent is hard to get used to at first but after a few classes you'll catch on. If you go to her for extra help, she is wonderful. This class is a little intimidating for the amount of assignments you have but she's a fairly easy grader and is pretty helpful if you ask for it. Mixed review.
If you aren't a psych major then don't take the class. She is a really sweet lady, but her class is so hard. Online assignments every week. Gives extra credit. Test really hard. Have activities to do, and either participate in psych studies or 10 journals by end of semester. SO MUCH WORK. NOT WORTH TAKING FOR HUMANITIES REQUIREMENT.
There is NOT assignments galore, just APLIA. She knows the subject well and wants her students to engage with her. Do all of the extra credit, complete your activities, and research credits. They are the key to an easy A!
The class is really easy if you pay attention. She offers extra credit for each test which equates to around 20 bonus points per test. She also offers extra credit for the final exam and homework grades. I finished with a 98% and gave very little effort. If you finish with a 95% or higher, which isn't very difficult, you don't have to take a final
A lot of extra credit
She's a good professor, and very enthusiastic. She looks intimidating, but she's actually really sweet once you get to know her. I wouldn't take her class if you don't like psychology, but it doesn't take much effort to do well. I just read the textbook and aced the tests.
Veigel was one of the best teachers I've had at C of C. I loved her intro class and if you did the readings and looked over her power points you could do well on the tests. Also she graded on a curve and gave lots of extra credit. She is a sweet and funny lady and I would definitely take her again.
She is a great professor! Would take again. Tests are sorta tough but she gives a lot of extra credit- do it because it pays off in the end. Not a lot of homework, just online APLIA.
DO THE EXTRA CREDIT, its offered for every chapter. There is online homework, but its not anything you cant handle. She is a wonderful professor, and her lectures are interesting. Seems strict at first, but she's German so you get used to it.
I loved her for Lifespan Development! Has 4 tests, various quizzesassignments but they're easy. The stuff she posts on OAKS can be overwhelming, but it's not as much as it seems, she's very relaxed about it. Final project is a group paper or an observationexperiment & paper (which I did and loved it). Go to class and offer opinions!!
If you're going to take psych, don't take her class. She doesn't lecture, she discusses.. resulting in you having to teach yourself everything out of the book outside class. She uses aplia which is online chapter review questions that are not easy to do well on. Not worth the gen ed fulfillment.
Lectures are hard to follow because she moves so fast and throws too much information at you at once and the tests are impossible she also does not explain anything she just says information
Relatively unapproachable, but not that much work homework or study-wise
Really enjoyed her! Tests aren't too difficult as long as you read through the material. A lot of online assignments that can be annoying but help out in the long run. She's funny and always willing to help. Class isn't mandatory as long as you read the chapter.
I loved her class. She's definitely not easy. but if you pay attention and ask questions you'll do fine. She definitely likes those who participate, but her lectures are super dense and will really tell you all you need to know for her tests. Got over 100% in the class because she made me care about it and want to do well.
A huge chunk of the grading is online on OAKS or Aplia, which is really straightforward and easy if you read the chapters. She's very interactive during class and gives really good feedback on projects.
Receiving an A in this course is difficult, but possible. The tests are pretty difficult, however, she always curves them and adds extra credit to them. MAKE SURE TO DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!!
Great professor. She's super European and has the best accent. Truly cares about your grade and your performance in the class, will go out of her way to help you out. Class is not hard as long as you try, which is easy because abnormal psych is very interesting. A bunch of activities and homework, super easy though just do them. Online exams. 10/10
I took abnormal psychology online this past semester. She is a great teacher and very passionate about psychology ! I loved her lectures online. Her activities to help you understand the chapter really engages you in the material and makes you think. Her tests are challenging, but she includes lots of chances to pump up your grade. Take her!
I took intro to psych and honestly it was super hard at first. It got alot easier and I got an A in that class really because she curves EVERYTHING. all the tests you take at home too which is a plus. her sense of humor is super funny when you get used to it.
Professor Veigel was an amazing Psych teacher for my first semester of college. Most of the tests and quizzes are online and if you do a thorough job on the homework assignments she gives good grades and incredible feedback. Would definitely recommend taking her for Abnormal Psych
Not a discussion/participation-heavy class. Hard to understand accent, in my opinion. Hard to take notes in class since she goes through slides very fast, however all the important information IS in the textbook. Assignments vary between OAKS and Aplia. Abnormal Psychology class, but set up to be very difficult for anyone who isn't neurotypical
Interesting subject, but too much work that makes the class no longer fun. Do not take online unless you are prepared to spend atleast 8 hours on work. Too much work for each week. Long assignments assigned but only worth menial amounts of points. Not worth doing 4 page papers for 5 points.
She makes you do a TON of work. Literally, you will be working on some assignment for her class every day! no joke from the first day of class to the last you will be working on something from her (Saturdays and Sundays too). Rely on the book, online homework and case studies to help you learn. She is not approachable, not too friendly either.
Make sure to keep up with the work in this online class. It was great though and learned a ton. Dr. V is great and even though you aren't in class, you still get the same experience online. It was not an easy A class but with some work you can get there.
A lot of HW but nothing terrible. She loves class participation and is not afraid to call you out if you don't pay attention. A complete badass. Half the tests are take home which is great. Make sure you keep up with all the work, but overall pretty great!
Professor Veigel is literally the best. All of her tests are online, and the homework is weekly but doable if you stay on top of it. Also, attendance is taken every class. She replies to emails so quickly, and is willing to extend due dates. She gives many opportunities for extra credit, so take advantage of it. 12/10 rating for sure.
Professor Veigel is AMAZING. Even though her tests are incredibly hard, and the work load is astronomical, she is truly one of the best professors I have ever had. I only took this course as an elective requirement, but she made it fun and very informative. Do not take her if you are not willing to work your ass off tho because its definitely hard.
There's a lot of work to do in her course compared to other psych courses. I enjoyed her class though, Professor Veigel tries to make her work informative, fun, and interesting for everyone. There IS a lot of reading and work, but if psych interests you-- take her! She's an awesome professor.
Professor Veigel makes you work for your grade. This is a tough course with though material. Stay on top of all reading and assignments. Veigel is super accessible if you have any question and really knows her stuff, don't be afraid to reach out. There are various group projects throughout the course. I learned so much from this course!
This feels like more of a self-help class backed by science. The class starts with homework that helps you improve your study habits and she later emphasizes the importance of mental health. Shes fair, engaging, and obviously cares about her students. I spend about 2-3 hours a week doing homework. All test are online. Favorite class this semester.
Her online class requires more work than a regular class would. She doesn't fully answer questions and wants students to do everything her way. The material is very interesting but her assignments made me hate the class. I wouldn't recommend the online version of this class to anyone.
Shes very knowledgeable but she makes you pay $99 for online homework called mindtap. Its pretty easy just very boring and useless. The tests are online and you take it at your house, which is great. She gets mad if nobody participates in class, which is kind of intimidating. Gives a lot of extra credit opportunities though!
Shes a wonderful person and cares a lot for her students and the material. It is very homework/reading/quiz heavy. The material is easy, but the workload is not so if you dont keep up with the schedule, you wont do very well. It can get annoying having so much reading and quizzes to get done each week, but if you care about psych, I recommend!
There is so much work in this class that you don't even have time to sit and learn the subject.
Her class was not really enjoyable. The content was a topic I personally was very interested in, but after taking this class I am no longer enthusiastic about it. The teacher definitely tries to make the class more enjoyable and interactive, but it just doesn't work. It comes down to you having to do a lot of teaching yourself and outside research.
Must buy an online subscription for class), lots of textbook reading must participate in class discussions for credit, and online lectures. If you take the online course you will need to read in order to pass, but you can find a lot of the information on the internet. You can complete 1 unit (a whole week of work) done in 4 hours.
If you are wanting to take abnormal psych like I was, just pick a different prof. The class material itself has high potential to be interesting and enjoyable to learn about. HOWEVER, I have never in my entire life been required to do as much busy work as Veigel asked of us. Not even in HIGH SCHOOL. It was actually comical at times. good luck.
The material of the course itself is incredibly interesting, but you will never have any chance to study it because of the amount of busy work she gives you. We had one week where she assigned 33 different things to do. Not only that, she forces you to participate in extended discussion boards and grades harshly on them. Way too much work.
I've had her for asynchronous class twice now and she does very little for the class itself. She posts some type of lecture but most of it is videos/slides from other presentations so she doesn't put in much work. All of the learning will be through the online textbook(very good resource!) Many many assignments between oaks and the online book site
She did little of her own actual teaching for the class. Mostly used other people's videos and slides. Most of the work and learning will be done through the online textbook and the questions on there. Also have assignments, quizzes, and tests on oaks. Heavy workload but she claims it's not. Can seem unmanageable at times. Doesn't seem to care much
I believe she was very caring as a person. She would always be there when you emailed her a question. The course was very loaded with busywork, which took up most of my time throughout the week. I did well in her class with an A-, just takes effort to do so.
Heard good things about Psych101, heard it was easy. Decided to take it but I literally had to drop. Her class was not enjoyable. I was looking forward to it and thought the workload would be fine since it's online but it sucked. She's strict, rude and hard to understand, and there's like 6-8 hours of work per week AT LEAST. Would not recommend.
I took this class asynchronously so I was able to manage the large workload on my own time, which worked out SO nicely. Weekly assignments/tests due the Thursday of every week and a weeks worth of assignments takes anywhere from 2-5 hours to complete which is very light. Study for the tests and really understand the material and you will be fine.
I took prof Veigel for my major requirement. Doesn't execute material very well. Have to read the book. Didn't discuss Cognitive psych, Lifespan, or I/O psych very disappointing. The 3 most interesting topics. Projects are with groups. Provides bonus points on tests and will give points on tests depending on how well you do on projects.
I really enjoyed Prof. Veigel's class, the one thing I will say about her is she makes it very clear what her assignments are; if at any point early on you know you will not complete something, tell her asap because she does not take last minute excuses very lightly. She expects you to come, participate, and put forth an effort in her class.
You don't really use the textbook, but you need the code to access Hawkes, where all your homework is. Interesting course, good professor. Every major project is a group project, and there's a lot of them, so if that's not your thing, that part may be frustrating. Lectures are interesting and engaging, and you'll do really well if you pay attention
Do not take her if you don't have to. I took her for an asynchronous class and there was so much work. Three group projects throughout the semester, 3 exams, a quiz every week, graded textbook activities every week, written assignments every week, and discussion posts every week (sometimes 2 in a week). She is also a hard grader.
very good at explaining concepts. The only downside is she moves through the content very fast.
She gives homework and group projects constantly. If you miss a due date you will likely receive no credit at all for the assignment. She is very strict and does not take excuses from anyone. She scared me TBH. If you are looking for an easy and light workload class this is a no. Her oaks is also unorganized and no one is doing well in my class
She is a very nice lady with reasonably high expectations. We used an online textbook that basically just reviewed lecture topics and made them more clear to understand. There is a decent amount of homework but I don't really think it was too much annoying busy work. I have friends that didn't like her, but I actually didn't mind her at all.
Do NOT take this course unless you are not taking any other courses. Weeks are about 5-6 days and you will not be able to do all of the work if you have other classes, jobs, kids, etc. Each week there are multiple tests, assignments, readings, group projects, exams, etc. It is a ridiculous amount of work and you can't retain any info because of it.
She barley taught us anything we had to learn it all on our own from a textbook. Way too many assignments in this class. I had to neglect my other classes just to get a good grade in this one. This is my 3rd year of college and thus far I have never ever had a teacher assign so many things in such a short amount of time. If you have her good luck!
As a freshman, I didn't know what I was doing when registering for classes. This class was a nightmare. 100% self-taught with little to no guidance. Poor communication with what is due and the requirements for completion. I feel like I have spent HOURS each week on group projects and hw, but my participation grade is somehow a C+? Don't recommend!
She made me not want to study psychology. Honestly, years later I still hate the class. If you can avoid her, do it.
While she was a nice person, her Abnormal Psych class had an unnecessary amount of projects and assignments due each week. I probably spent over 10 hours each week doing her assignments. There were also a total of 4 group projects, which was very difficult given it was an ENTIRELY online course. Assignments could have been better explained also.
The amount of work for this class is just insane. It is so easy to miss assignments if you arent careful, because everything is so poorly organized. She will give you a weekly checklist, but assignments will be missing off of it. I have never been in a worse class. Also this is personal preference but there's a lot of group work (which I hate)
Prof. Veigel's Abnormal Psych class was interesting, but the sheer amount of assignments and busy work made it a tough slog. Lots of group projects and harsh grading, even in the online version. unstuckstudy helped me stay on top of it all.
The number of assignments this class had was insane. Some were really long. There were also a lot of group assignments. Class felt disorganized. God forbid you post a discussion one day late you WILL get an F for it. This class made me unreasonably mad. This was a filler class too. For this class focusing on mental disorders, I think I gained one.
Tons of work. No physical textbook but you do have to buy an online textbook. If you space out the online work throughout the week you will be fine. Group projects EVERY week which was very annoying especially for being online. Tests are online, lockdown browser and timed but no webcam. Tests take forever. Interesting class though!
Took online and she had so many assignments and a lot of them were hidden. She gives out Fs in assignment groups if you don't turn in one even if the others are completed and submitted. This class had so much potential to be fun but it became such a burden with random due dates and lack of fair grading.
The workload and material was pretty easy to keep up with, my biggest problem was with how unorganized the class was. This class was online and I had to go in a deep dive to make sure everything was turned in on time. We also had group work each week, our group had a problem with a submission and her response was quite frustrating.
