GREAT prof! I really understand math now all b/c of her--she's great
The class was easy, but going to lecture is pointless. Read the book.
babbles in lectures. walls are better teachers.
Her lectures are boring but if you need help she will explain everything to you
Makes too many mistakes in class while trying to teach to a half asleep class.
Awesome teacher--good lectures make everything really easy to understand.
Great professor! The best math professor I've ever had! She knows her stuff!
great helpful, tests from homework, seems hard in beginning, easy if u study
Worst teacher ever, I wish I could give lesser ratings. Lecs sucked

She's not that bad. Will explain fully if you have problems

lectures a little confusing, happy to help w/ office hours. good prof
Great class and prof...take if you can!
i saw her walk by me and it was all I could do to NOT TRIP HER
great professor, does lots of examples that are very similar to the exams

if your a math wiz there isnt a problem if your not then there is a problem.
A great teacher for freshmen, very helpful.
Great teacher! Helpful, dedicated, professional, very competent. Highly recommended.
Class is easy and taught by a great teacher. She knows how to teach, and if ya know how to learn...its a cake class
great teacher, helpful
I've never understood math until this class. She was very helpful and cared about the students learning the subject. If you paid attention in class, did all your homework and reviewed your notes before tests the class was easy. Highly recommended.
Good teacher although a little unclear at times. Tests can be tricky, but gives lots of other credit to bring up your grade. Wants you to do well and very helpful during office hours
Daley adds little jokes during class which show that she's a really nice lady. Whenever you need help with the material she's really helpful during office hours. She prepares you for the worst, and then her exams aren't hard at all!
Very Helpful. Tricky Tests!
She is a bit spacey at times, and I have corrected her several times in class, with little mistakes, like adding errors or mixing up negative/positive signs. But she is a very nice lady, she helps you when you need it, and it isn't a very hard class, the tests aren't bad. Some of the HW assignments are brutal though, but she rarely collects them.
Pretty Easy class..only had to hand in homework once, gives lots of extra credit opportunities and wants the students to do good.
Very down to earth and easy teacher. Homework is not checked. By asking questions, you will get her to like you.
Hate math but i love her. No such thing as a stupid question in her class. Explains things VERY well. Really helpfull at office hours too. She made math not terrible. Take her
Very nice&very enthusiastic about math.Very helpful&explained things until you understood them.HW assignments were only for your own benefit to do well on the quizzes&tests.Final was straight from exams&quizzes.I hate math, and she made it not that bad&actually made it understandable.Do the homework before class&you'll be fine;procrastinate&suffer
This lady is so dumb. you need to constantly make sure she doesnt make mistake because she seems to do them a lot. way too much energy for so early in the morning. hate this class!
Great teacher- really wants you to do well, gives extra credit, very clear, and learns everyone's names. tests are basic and extremely similar to the reviews she gives in class
very good teacher! She is very clear with her examples and doesn't go too fast with her lectures. She uses good examples so that everyone is on the same page. Easy (A) if you took precalc before
Professor Daley is a really sweet lady and makes everything easy to understand. She's very enthusiastic. Easy class if you pay attention.
She is such a nice lady, and is extremely helpful. takes every question seriously and never makes you feel stupid for asking it. class is easy if you take good lecture notes. problems she puts on the board are often seen again on quizzes/tests
this woman loves math! even though i did terrible in the class if i would have tried at all i would have done great. daley never makes you feel dumb for any question and she legit wants you to learn the material. she really wants you to suceed. she reuses questions that most people screw up so dont think she wont. i would def take her again.
i've only completed a year @ UD but Daley is 1 of my top 2 teachers so far. she loves when students asks questions, never thinking that there is such a thing as a dumb question. she learns mostly everyones names in class. take homework seriously: it helps w/ tests and grade. feel free to go to her during office hours..she realy wants ppl to succeed
Dr. Daley is a very considerate professor who wants her students to do well. No such thing as a dumb question. She cares!
Nice lady and very capable teacher. I took her for winter session and even with the condensed and rapid sessions. she was very clear in her teaching i can only imagine how well she would teach in a full semester
wonderful lady! WANTS her students to do well. she doesn't trick you on tests. she teaches you EXACTLY what you need to know for each test and quiz. do the text book hw and the online hw and you wont get less than a B. her style of teaching is sick. she's so enthusiastic & she even teaches you little short cuts for problems BEFORE you mess up.TAKE!
LOVE her, so helpful. go to office hours! once she knows you she will be much more apt to give you extra points or 'help' a little more. you will be SO glad you had her!
The class is hard if you aren't good at math but she definitely makes it very understandable. Definitely go to office hours..she's very helpful there. The tests and quizzes had material that I expected to see..no surprises. Homework is assigned and helpful to do but not mandatory.
Nice lady, but she can be very frustrated when approached with questions. Sometimes it takes like 10 back and forth e-mails for her to finally get your point, and she very often gives wrong information about test dates. I took this class online so I wouldn't recommend that since she was constantly unsure and unclear about questions I had.
Best teacher I've had so far. Class is mainly notes and she'll go through the attendence or go around the room and ask people questions. She doesn't make you feel stupid if you answer wrong and she wants to make sure you know your stuff. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Great teacher.
Professor Daley is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. Her explanations are easy to understand and she wants her students to do well. She is VERY enthusiastic about the material. Do your homework and come to class and you will be fine!
She is really good teacher i ever have, and she is really patient. If you have any questions, ask her. Her exams is exactly what we learned in class. just do your work and you ganna be fine. I recommended this teacher because she is really good teacher.
Very helpful professor. Her lectures are great and she doesn't skip steps that other professors think you "should know". The quizzes and exams cover materials she lectures during class - but the multiple choice sections can be tricky if you are not extremely careful.
Professor is very helpful and is a very nice person. She always remembers names and likes to know who her students are. The class is not easy, but you try, Daley will make sure you are successful.
Prof Daley is a very nice lady. She is always will to help students and really likes to see her students succeed, however her class is extrememly hard. You take at least 4 pages of notes everyday. The tests are very tricky, especially the multiple choice. Make sure to go to her office hours if you are struggeling at all.
Extremely good math teacher, but expects a lot from students. Tests and quizzes are fair (but not that easy)
Dr. Daley is an awesome professor. It dosent mean she's easy though. You will work on math every day because its the only way to keep up. She is always willing to help though and loves when students ask questions. Take the class and get the program and you will be ready for calculus guaranteed
She is a nice woman, but she teaches the class at a very fast pace. If you don't keep up with the work, then you will fall very far behind quickly. Her lectures can be hard to follow (again, because she teaches very fast) but if you ask her for help outside of class she will do everything she can to help you. A very tough yet helpful professor.
A good teacher that is willing to help in your spare time but be warned her class is very tough and her teaching methods are sometimes hard to understand.
She is nice enough, but she tends to skip around in her lesson plan and her lectures are difficult to follow. She somehow succeeded in making the class harder than it had to be in my perspective. I would not take her again for another class.
Those of you that come into this class having taken calculus in high school will have a VERY easy time. The textbook should be used a lot but sometimes it is hard not to slack off as there is a lot of hw. She is a good prof. and her office hours are extremely helpful although there is always a bit of a line. Very nice and answers emails swiftly.
She is pretty thorough with her notes and lectures. If you do the assigned homework and keep up the class comes fairly easy. Tests and quizzes are fair.
Daley is a great teacher that will always give help if you need it. take good notes and do the hw and you will be fine. Her tests are fair
Daley is honestly one of the best math teachers I've ever had. She is extremely thorough and will answer any questions you have. There is a lot of homework from the textbook, but it is really helpful for exams and quizzes so I recommend doing it. Great professor!
If you have to take this course, take her. She is the best math teacher I have had
Nice lady. Not good at teaching the material she just does practice problems. A little crazy assigns a home work assignment over the summer before the semester starts before you even have your book. Assigns hundreds of homework problems from the book hard to keep up with. Has quizes all the questions come from the homework.
prof daley was great she explained all the topic very well and provides many resources to have lots of practice. have quizzes and web assigns that help boost your great on top of three exams and a final. wants her students to do well. teaches right from the exams. she hard but you will learn a lot. allowed to skip five days of class without penalty
Overall she is very good and puts in a lot of hard work to see that her students do well.
Great professor, really cares about the success of her students. Don't recommend taking this class with integrated bio/chem class though cause it is an unmanageable amount of work. She did offer extensions if oyu asked nicely though. You will learn in this class and she will help you prepare for the high courses. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HER.
The 113 I took was full of people who didn't need another math to graduate. She respects it, and the math isn't easy but she makes it easy to understand. She assigns textbook work which is helpful but I didn't do them and I still got by. Her workbook helps. Everythings on capture She preps you for exams. I don't like math but shes good at teaching.
really good intro if you're planning on going to calc. she explains things well. pretty much go to class and you'l be fine. web assign homework's were pretty easy. fair tests.
probably the worst professor i had this semester. she is really airy and is always making mistakes during her lectures. For an easy class, she did a horrible job at teaching her material.
The class revolves around solving city planning problems. She usually doesn't check HW, but attendance is a must! Daley is a bit dull, but very nice. She really cares about what she's teaching and is very concerned with the success of her students. The grading system is kind of annoying, but I did pretty well even without putting in much effort.
WORST TEACHER I EVER HAD! SO rude and not helpful. All you do is group work in class so I hope you can learn all the material yourself. I was surprised at how bad she was because she had so many good ratings on here. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!
Overall the class isn't hard. It should be a refresher from high school. The only thing is that the tests are tough not because of the material, but because it's multiple choice and if you make a stupid mistake and get one wrong, that's 10 points off your grade. Just be careful and do lots and lots of practice problems!
If you didn't take precalc in high school, you're going to fail. She doesn't explain anything in detail, or at all. She also just expects you to know everything when you come into class. I learned everything two years before coming into class and she found ways to confuse me about things I already knew. Depending on the TA, you'll need to do the hw
I took her class after already taking Pre-Calc in high school, and i failed the first 3 exams. Her class is impossible, and the only class I failed freshman year, 10/10 would not recommend.
An overall easy class if you know what you're doing. Daley is an decent teacher. Expect lots of homework & classwork. Attendance is necessary, if you miss more than 8 classes, you'll go down a whole letter grade . Has two exams & one final, which are fairly easy if you understand the subject and you can pick the date & time you want to take it.
Professor Daley is a very nice person and seems to care very much about her students; however, you will be teaching yourself the topics and spending 10+ hours a week on homework. This class is a lot of work but if you understand what you are doing you will do well, if you have never taken pre-calc before, this class is not for you.
Terrible, does not help nor care. She never actually asks if you understand too much homework terrible teacher.
Daley speaks and goes through material very quickly, but she's an excellent professor. She's kind and very willing to help if you ask. Do WebAssign and the textbook problems (textbook problems are not mandatory) if you need extra practice. Tests are fair and not particularly difficult. Attendance IS mandatory, and worth it. She's great!
I took MATH117 with Dr. Daley. Having studied Pre-Calc in high school I was familiar with much of the material covered however I did have trouble keeping up with the lectures. She lectures in a very fast-passed manner and flys through some topics which makes it hard to keep track of.
Dr. Daley is a nice lady, always looking to help. BUT how math 115 is set up, it's an extremely difficult class. ALL learning is done on your own time by watching videos and doing online math topics. A lot of effort is required to do well in this class so beware. Tests are partially on a computer which is unforgiving and doesn't give partial credit
Dr Daley was ok she didn't really teach. You have to learn everything on your own outside of class and class time is spent working on problems and group stuff. If you have a good math background it is doable, but get help if you need it because it is there. Also, go to class and do the problems for practice. Stay on top of the online stuff too
Professor Daley is easily my favorite professor this semester. Her workbook seems tedious at first but exams are basically the work book problems with different numbers. Overall the class was relatively easy having already taken pre calc in high school. Lots of homework but she gives you the chance to get extra credit on multiple quizzes and exams.
Amazing professor. Makes sure that everything on exams is covered. What you see on exams is EVERYTHING from the workbook and web assign work so as long as you know how to do them, you'll pass the exams. She is very empathetic and she will go out of her way to work with you if you ask for help.
Overall an amazing professor & person. She encourages feedback during her lecture and answers questions thoroughly making sure youre not confused. I added this class late and also missed class because I was sick & she was super easy to get in touch with and was very understanding and helpful. Also she uploads her lectures online. Take this class!
Basic math class. Daley sits at the front and reads out random information while quickly showing how to do them. Not a great professor, would try to find another.
Daley is an overall great professor. Her notes for Math 117 were fill in the blank which i found super helpful with following along. I got really sick at the beginning of class and she was very helpful during office hours and let me make up the work when i could. Shes super caring and as long as you put forth the effort you will do well in class.
Dr. Daley is such a sweet lady. She cares about her students and how well they do in her class. Her notes for Math117 are fill in the blank and easy to follow. She walks you through everything and helps with the homework when she can. She wants you to succeed and will help you however she can.
Great professor, class lectures and activities were very useful. Need to attend classes to do well and does affect grading. Much of workbook done during class directly applies to quizzes and exams. There is a lot of homework; but, that is expected for a Math class since to really understand the concepts and solution strategies requires practice.
Doable if you've taken precalc before. Not professor Daley's fault but the fault of the class bc it's designed around an awful textbook and online system
