A good teacher, an even easier class. After her random grading, curves and mis-given points appear sporatically, your grade should be augmented to satisfaction.

She is so nice! She is very willing to help, and often curves! She's the best!

She is a very good teacher. Attendance doesn't count and sometimes she give extra credit on random days if you do attend. She uses very easily understood examples to explain course material.

Very nice and smart teacher. Puts her lecture notes online so you can just pring them out. Hardly went to lecture and still got a B. Tests are kind of hard, make sure you study a lot for them.

can be a hard subject but she makes it easier, very nice, very helpful, gives good examples, she was a great teacher

Extremely nice and always ready to help. No homework or reading, just multiple choice tests. Good at explaining concepts and tests are easy.

She is a great teacher. She is always willing to help and give out some extra points. Just be prepared and study for the first exam. It's not hard but just make sure you know the material and you'll be fine. I reccomend her for lab too. She likes her

One of the best professors Salisbury has! She will not move on to the next subjest until you understand it. She even gives extra points on a test if she finds that it was either confusing or she didn't teach it. Take her for lab as well.

She is an energentic fun teacher, has power points notes, and many grades to help out your average. Her quizzes sometimes cover information you only touch a little on, and the tests aren't that easy, must study for them. Lab quizzes are also not too bad

The only time you have to go to class is for the tests and for lab which is once a week, all of the notes are on the internet and that is all that her tests are on, very easy

She has a reputation around campus for a reason. She's great. If you don't have her for bio, wait until you can. She is so nice and funny and is genuinely interested in the students and the material. I hate bio and always really struggle but i got an "A" in her class. She's like your mom that teaches bio. EVeryone loves Betty Lou.

She's a cute little lady- very bright and funny. She is fast-paced in some areas- if you need help ask... she'll be thrilled to help you. She loves it when people contribute to the class or ask good questions. Be sure to amp up on caffine before lectures though. Exams are multiple-choice and notes are online.

Best bio teacher you can take! Her lectures are easy to follow and she makes sure every student in the class understands! After tests she looks at the class statistics and if the majority of students get an answer wrong she'll blame it on herself and throw the question out. Take her if you can!

betty lou is AWESOME! By far the best teacher i had this semester... I got stuck with an 8 AM lecture, but she def made it interesting. Dont be afraid to speak up..she wont move on without everyone understanding! Sweet lady, wants everyone to love and appreciate biology..tests are mult. choice! She is a great teacher, if you come to class. TEST WERE HARD, but only 50 questions and multiple choice, i didnt even read the book and i still got an A. Lab helps.

she's the nicest lady alive, and the class seems like a breeze until you get to the test. the wording is very confusing. she puts all her power points online, and doesn't take attendance. DO NOT take her for lab.. try to get Hunter if possible

I love Betty Lou Smith! She's is a super nice, super sweet woman. She cares about her students and is passionate about the information she teachers. I got an A in the class with pretty minimal effort. 1/5 of your grade is attendance, so just go to class, take notes, and study before the exams for a few hours. You'll get an A.

Dr. Smith was a great teacher. She's enthusiastic and an easy A if you go to classes and lab. It's a "my classes" class so a lot of it is online which was awesome, once you get ahang of it, cuz you can do most of the work on your own time so it's convenient. Shes easy to listen to and knows what she's talking about. Fun labs you get out early alot!

Betty Lou Smith is awesome! She teaches BIO in a way so that people who are retarted at science can undertand the concepts. She is a very sweet woman, and always willing to help you. She is the best! Betty Lou Smith Rocks!

This class and Betty Lou Smith is FANTASTIC. By the end of the semester, our whole class, and betty lou, felt like one big family (no joke). The labs were fun, and we even went to the zoo. Betty Lou is a sweetie. 5 stars for this class!

She is amazing! She knows her stuff, the class is taught to the point everything is crystal clear. Tests are a breeze. Makes class interesting & FUN, DONT BUY THE BOOK you dont need it gives 100 pts for attendance, got an A because shes makes it so easy and this is true cause i would just look over notes right before. take her you wont regret it!

Amazing teacher! She makes clear study guides that outline exactly what will be on the quizzes and tests. You have to use your book a little to fill out some of the study guide, but it's not hard. As long as you follow her powerpoints and fill out the study guides (and come to the labs/lectures), you'll get a good grade for sure.

She is an interesting professor - some days she's really excited and crazy, other days she's irritated at everything. BUT overall she's a great professor. Study the study guides before exams and you'll do fine. GO TO LECTURE - she gets pissed when people blatantly don't show up.

I took the bio 101 class. She understands that almost everyone in the class is not a bio major is very willing to help you. Her tests are somewhat hard, but she gives you a ton of materials to work with so its never hard to find information. Try to get her for your biology teacher!

I don't know why people say the tests are hard because they are SO easy if you study a little bit. She is an awesome person and is very funny! She's very interested and has great enthusiasm for what she does. For the tests, make sure you study the online quizzes and the notes, you will def get an A! TAKE HER!!-BEST TEACHER EVER!

Hated Biology in high school-got Cs and Ds so I was not excited for this class, but I got an A in Betty Lou's class. Loved her, very nice lady. Print out her Power Points and bring them to lecture to add some extra notes to them. Tests are multiple choice, very easy-just study straight from your Power Points. Also use them for your online quizzes.

Very helpful and clear. Her tests are reasonable and if you fill out the study guides they are easy. Just do your work and go to class and you will be fine.

Hands down the best Bio 101 teacher. Print out the powerpoints and read over them, as well as the study guide before tests and they are simple. Lab quizzes can be a bit tough, just study the info from the previous week's lab. Betty Lou is so sweet and motherly and Hilarious! Feel free to act crazy around her. She'll love you even more. Easy A!

Good Class. Exams were difficult. Interesting Lab. She had a ease when explaining information. Understood we were not Bio Majors. Make sure you study the Study Guides.

Betty Lou is a great teacher! She hands out bonus points like it is her job and is always ready to answer any questions you might have. Attendance is mandatory, so if you don't go you're just hurting yourself. I am terrible at bio and I still managed to pull a B in this class. Take Betty Lou if you want to have a fun time in Biology!

She was overall pretty easy, I didn't really put forth effort and I managed a C in the class.

I was dreading taking this class because I'm terrible at bio but Dr. Smith was the best science professor I've probably ever had. Very helpful if you have any questions and the tests are not that hard if you study. Really enjoyed biology after taking this class

Mrs. Betty Lou is the most adorable and hilarious professor you will ever have. Though at times she gets confused by things such as technology and herself, she tells the best funny stories about random stuff. She's helpful and willing to work with you on your grades, but you shouldn't need it because her class is super easy to pass.

Mrs. Smith is the nicest teacher I've ever had. She is very clear in her lectures and her tests are not horrible. Just study the material a few days before hand and you'll be good to go for the exam date. However, don't show up to lecture, click in, and leave. She will remember you for it. And she will not like it. But if you can, take her!

She loves what she does and understand that some of her students are taking this because they have too. She drops the 2 lowest lab and 2 lowest online quiz grades. Also, she lets you retake test 1 and/or 2 at the end of the semester. Take her.

Science is definitely not my strong suit , but Professor Smith was by far one of my favorite professors. You take 3 exams and for your final you get the choice to retake both of your first two exams. I recommend her for any student, but especially those who struggle with science, she's amazing!!

Dr. Smith's humor makes the class more enjoyable. She always expresses a positive attitude, and is very helpful. I highly recommend taking her for BIOL101, especially for lab.

Dr. Smith is the sweetest person ever. Her lectures are fun and is always willing to help in lab. There's online quizzes every week as well as a lab quiz, both easy if you read your study guides and lab. Definitely recommend her for Bio101.

Dr. Smith is a very nice lady but sometimes she will get annoyed if you ask questions. She did her best to teach the material but honestly if you just read the study guides and powerpoints you will be okay. Also, the Bio 101 is mainly just memorizing vocabulary so get ready to make flash cards.

DONT BUY THE TEXTBOOK WE DIDNT USE AT ALL. The test were very hard compared to how she explained it in class. The labs were dreadful but she made them the best she could. Main problem with the class was the tests were hard for a 101 course. She does allow you to retake the first two test as your final which is optional which was nice.

Dr Smith is the sweetest teacher Ive ever had. In both class and lab she is willing to help you with any problem you have. She also will do everything in her power to make sure you can pass the class. Just make sure to do the Sunday night quizzes and study for lab quizzes. Since they count towards your grade. Would take another one of her classes

I had her for both Lab and Lecture and she was great. Lab always has quizzes in class and for homework too. there are mid lecture quizzes but she makes it easy. if you show up you will pass basically. the textbook and her quizzes don't match up so get ready to google. she gives two chances on quizzes and drops your lowest 2 lab grades at the end.

Dr. Betty Lou Smith is a wonderful professor! She is so kind and always willing to help, but the class itself will certainly not be easy. She is not the best with technology, but that is part of what makes her so wholesome. I will miss her words of encouragement during our breakout rooms!
