great teacher--clear and patient. will be a difficult class if you don't know your basic precal and algebra well.

a very good teacher who really fun and patient with students. not so much homework. exams are hard.

Her lecture is very easy to understand, but the test is very hard. The test is nothing like the lecture or the homework. If you want a easy teacher, don't take her.

Hard professor, but you will learn well. Tests are hard, she will rush through lectures nearing the end of the semester. Better keep up with homework, once you fall behind its the end of the road for you.

Fast paced but very good teacher. She is really worried if u r understanding or not. Tests are ok if u did the HW and review. Wonderful teacher, made me love math!

ya she's hard but if you do all the HW (dont fall behind!!!) and practice you should be fine. no curving! if you get 89.999=b, this is not an easy A teacher

her test is straightforward and it's actually easier than the pre-view test, she is very nice and if you want to pass this class with an A, do your homework

I have never get a good grade in highschool, but I get A from her class.Her explaination&organize are excellent!U must do your HW,and turn them in on time~Then,U will do well on the test&get a good grade!!!

this is not an easy a class! But if you know you need to be prepared for upper division classes, wong will make sure you know what is needed for your next math class.

I love her. It's not a very advanced class, I agree. She is very hard, but fair. You either love her or hate her. One thing for sure - you know your math after her class. But you'll have to study hard.

She is peeeeerfect!!! The best math teacher at SMC!!! She made me love math!!! Explains the subject very well, she will help you if you ask. Tests are fair, and if you're prepared you'll have no problem. I recomend her!!! Not easy but you will learn everything.

Screw the blue-face reviews,this teacher is if not the best teacher in SMC.She know's her subject,N better yet explains it clearly. Can't drop any test. Test are A-able. Lot of HW,pre-test are gone over. Everything is gone over to get the concepts across. REALLY recommned her. DONT ASK STUPID?s-mad-

Lots of homework, but she explains everything, She is one of the few Asian Math teachers that teaches you, unlike the rest who think you are advance math students and you can't understand a word they are saying. If you want to learn, then take her.

I recommand her to those students who have learnt the material before (as for me, I was place there and I've learn calculus before hand) She is like any other Math teacher in HK, gives lots of assignment, and teaches fast. Exams are reasonable if you just do ALL hw.(that takes 2hrs a day) If u want to challenge, take her. No easy life absolutely!!

I think these people writing bad things about professor Wong are those not willing to give their best to learn the material. I used to hate Math, and she completely chaged my mind about it. I'm a Business major, and after her Math 22 class I felt I was really prepered when I took Math 23 & 24. She is just a wondeful teacher. Mrs. Wong roooooocks!!!

I think that she is very clear and she really knows what she is talking about. She is also very helpful and I think, if you talk to her about your problems with the homework she will cut you a break. But if you want an easy A this is not the teacher to go for if you want to learn something then here you should be. Myself, got a B :-(

Very helpful if you talk to her. At the beginning looks like she is going really fast, but, once you get used to her rhythm, you're going to think other professor just go too slow, :)! If you are interested in learn about Math, she is the one.

To be very honest, I got C in her class, and my record id an A in all math classes untill i took her, she is not bad, her way of teaching is fine, but the only thing is her exams, she put very detailed problems in the exams, but he final is kinda commulitive, still a tough class. if u r very good in math,take her otherwise there r better teachers.

even though she gives tough test, she is a good teacher ... commenting for people that says she is hard and they compare with their other class grades... "I got all A from other classes before I take this class" easy A class never give u temptation, a class from PE cannot be compare to A from calculus class.. prepare for this class, work hard

she gives very clear lectures and instructions. however, lots of homeworks and tests might be hard to some people. but you will be fine if you attend all the class and do all the assignments. need to work hard. overall i think she is good!

Very good at explaining material and willing to help if you don't understand. Some of the material is challenging so you have to do the homework and go to class (duh) and you need a fairly decent math foundation. Tests are a little harder than the downloadable reviews.

This is a difficult class, so be warned. You've got to stay on top of the homework and study like hell for these exams. Do good in the beginning and you won't live to regret it. Wong is a great teacher and she's definitely there to help. She knows calculus like the back of her hand. This is a difficult subject to teach and Wong has mastered it.

Professor Wong is a very good teacher. She was very helpful and laid back. She knows her****. She gives alot of homework but it helped alot. She doesn't mess around or waste your time. Very fair grader. Gives you exactly what you deserve.

Well, this is my first class in collage. And her class scared me a little bit. It's hard with a lot of homework. But i have to say, if you want to learn math well, and u do all the homework and review everyday, u should be fine. I work very hard and finally got an A.

Well definitely not the easiest teacher you'll find, but one of the best for sure! She gives you alot of homework and alot of reviews to aid on your exams, you really have to keep up with it or you'll fall behind; really badly. Her exams are hard, but not impossible, her reviews give you an indication to what will come out during the exams.

she is a really good professor. I do not understand why these guys just do not like her. she has her sence of humor when we are in class. also, it is not really hard to learn, as long as you do your homework, pay attention to the class. and her exams are basic on the review that she gave. she is helpful whenever you have questions to ask her.

She is hard but she really knows her subject. If you are not good at math, then you have to work your ass off to get an A. i loved her. attendance is mandatory and her lectures are interesting.

A helpful and nice teacher. Perhaps, she's not the easiest teacher compare to others. Taking it now during winter 08. She is funny, crystal clear + friendly. Plus she knows her stuff + super patient. Fast paced but bearable even with my PT job + other class. Highly recommend, you will definately *learn*. This is college, if you expect to pass without any studying whatsoever, why bother? Just drop out and go work at Jack In The Box.

I do not understand why so many people complain, Betty Wong is nice. If you're feelings were hurt, well the real world is a lot colder. Anyways she really prepared me for the next class. She explains the material very well, but you have to put time into it. You have to do the homework, don't be lazy. If you are lazy you will fail in any class.

She gives A LOT of homework and her study guides are an easier version of what the test will be like BUT if you do your work and attend class, she prepares you for your future math classes EXTREMELY well. It is ridiculous how easy my class is now compared to hers.

If you want an easy grade u shouldn't take her, but she will be really helpful. And try to sit in the 1st or the 2nd row whenever possible trying to correct some of her many mistakes and she would recognize you in the future and treat you better. you will also be required lot of previous math classes knowledge :D

She expects people to know their previous knowledge about math! Her class is not hard if you come to class everyday and pay attention and take all the notes. Do the exam review! make sure you know how to do every single thing in the exam review. i got straight 3 A's by doing her exam review. Not recommended for lazy ppl! =]

I honestly think Professor Wong is a good knowledgeable math professor! She's good at explaining and she's actually really nice. She doesn't try to fail people on purpose. Tough exams but makes sure you know your stuff. Be prepared to work hard, Hw everyday! expects you to know your math. I learnt a lot! Got an A. Just gotta work real hard for it.

Betty Wong is honestly the best professor there is for Math. I think everyone who rated her down are either lazy or just cannot be bothered. Even Rodas can't hold a candle to her. When I take her class, I feel like I'm in Hogwarts learning from McGonagall. I never thought I'd love her, but I did. However, be prepared to study really hard.

I have her for Math 7 and she is decently clear on methods. However she has a short attention-span for expounding questions. We are usually held a few minutes after class due to the time she spends on examples. A's are barely given out. Not to discredit myself, but since she's Asian and named Betty, reminds me of Master Pain from Kong Pow. She's ok

She is very helpful. I can tell she is one of the best prof. in SMC. She isn't that hard. Guess many commenters are a bit lazy.. But other professors are not easy too. Put some effort, then you will be all right. I got 96.7% for the final. I can do it.Then you can.

She is helpful. but her offers a lot of problem in her exams. To get high score inher classes, you need to think and write very quickly in exams. Also, she requires us do a lot of homework, and i think it is worth. The tutoring classes are very helpful too!

Don't judge a book just by looking at the title. She is not that hard in my opinion. I didn't do well in her class because I didn't put effort. However, if Ive done all homework and studied, getting an A wouldve been easy. She teaches fast, and she tries to cover every detail as much as possible. She is a challenging professor. She gives examples in class and does the work, she'll answer questions on the hw. However, her test questions are hard, she really wants her students to think. Going to her office hours helped me a lot! It is not an easy A, however if you work really hard in the class, then an A is possible!

I have no idea why this professor has so many poor ratings. I find her very helpful and caring. As long as you care about the class and seek help if you're not doing well, she cares about helping you. She tries to give extra time on the exams and if you email her she will be very helpful.
