Tough class, especially at 7 a.m. This woman may look genteele, but she's knows her stuff. Don't take class if you're not serious. The most consistent prof so far as material and exams following the syllabus. Only accepts crashers on day 2. Loves rules.
Tough, but fair; a Great Teacher ; prepare for a 4 units worth of work!!
Class is very informative. I enjoyed it. Tests are easy if you study materials assigned. Case analysis become easier to do over time. See student examples in library. Easy A if you do the work and study some.

Lot of writing in the class, but a VERY fair grader. Final project is long but esay to get material for. Very boring at times, poor quality slides. Tests are easy if you do ALL the reading (a lot) but she has an EXTREMELY annoying had movement(in circles)
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!! If I were you, I would take Bennett or Nichols. She grades super hard and the class is not fun, on the other hand it will put you to sleep.

her hand motions and the way she talks make her look crazy. often condescending. everyone gets a 30 or below on the case analysis and she STILL gives everyone a 50 or below on the second case. if the whole class does THAT bad TWICE, it makes HER look wors

Generally good lass. No freebees here, but if you do the work you will get the grade. You didn't expect a lecture class of 100+ students to be fun did you!?! You'll have to earn your degree eventually people.
Anderson challenges the individual. However, in the event u read all that she assigns at least 3 times in addition to attending class u will succeed. Anderson makes one truly "earn" their degree. If u would like to learn a lot about business mod

She is awful. If she had actually worked in the business world, she may understand the concept a little better. She may have even been able to give some real world examples (from personal experience) and be able to give TRUE reactions.

Too much work for a 2 unit class. Teacher is snippy with students. Hard to follow procedures for the case papers. Should be an interesting class, but was not.
Hmm, I can't say anything too bad, so I won't, otherwise it wouldn't be posted. Go figure. But yea, this woman is evil, and instead of a car, she rides a broom to school...if you don't understand that, then she is the teacher for you.
It's not what she says, it's how she says it...this profesora is out to get the unwary, casual college student. Good luck.

Avoid her like the plague!! Her grading system is whacked and even if you ace the exams, you will still have a hard time with the case studies and writings over the readings. She makes this the most difficult 2 unit class you will ever have
PHEW! Tough stuff for a 2 unit class. Lots of current info. discussed in class. Must subscribe to Business Week, though, and type up 1 pg. reports every week. Essay questions every week w/ 2 or so on each exam, randomly picked. Overall, ok, just LOTS of work! :(
She is very clear on what she wants just DO IT HER WAY or eles she will give you a bad grade. You are REQUIRED to sign up for Businessweek (19.97 for 12 issues)&then write a summary of an article everyweek.She requires 2 case studies plus 2 tests and 1 final project.TOO MUCH WORK FOR A 2-UNIT CLASS!
Her grading is very hard and her lectures are super boring. She is easier than Antoniou and you can get a solid B in this class if you do a little bit of studying.

She should be teaching at a real school, 'cause that's where she thinks she is. My other classes are simple compared to this two unit train wreck. She needs to take some of the classes at this weeny campus to get an idea of what her peers are letting us sleep through. Skip her unless you're crazy.
She gives too much work for a 2 unit class. Work load is about the same as my 4 unit classes. Expect to work outside of class atleast 5 to 7 hours a week for a passing grade.
OMG WE ALL HATE THIS TEACHER!!!! Her lectures are boring as hell, and she waits until after you turn something in and fail on it before she explains what she wanted to you to do to begin with! WAAAAAAAAAY to much work for a 2 unit class!!!
It is true that it is a lot of writing for 2 units class. However, it is intersting class and Prof. Anderson is a great teacher. You can get a good grade if you are paying attention and studying. You are in college, what did you expected???

Way too much work for a 2 unit class, and the test material is taken from every little piece of info that you are exposed to in class. Everything is game from an oral example, to videos, to links she emails out and "suggests" that you look at, to the normal stuff from the readings and her lectures.
This class is a LOT of work but I learned a lot too.
Requirements a little less strict than her BUS 302 class, but still a hard class. Text is good, but jammed with a lot of information. Quizzes are fairly difficult, but the final is somewhat better. 6 quizzes, 1 presentation, 6 1-page reading responses (don't make grammar errors!), and the final.
I liked the material, very interesting stuff, but she is a hard teacher. There is a lot of writting. The material could be presented a little different, quicker (?), it felt like it all came together at the END.
Dr. Anderson requires way too much work for a two unit course. She expects a lot from students, forcing them to work hard. I would recommend her if you're truly interested in learning the material and aren't over-loaded with too many units. I did get an A in her class, but I definitely earned it!
Global Ethics. Short class (1 unit) Same level of writting is expected (10+ pages) and she is a hard grader for papers. If you know her from BUS302 you know what to expect.
This class was a fun 1 unit class. Her other classes are more difficult from what I hear. She doesn't accept any slop, so every paper must be well written. Overall, she has been one of my favorite professors.
Difficult to work with.
WAY too much work for a 2 unit class... wasn't worth it. She also had a Napoleon complex and didn't seem very seasoned in "real" business, although she claimed she was.

Lots of work. Make sure you understand the business models FULLY! If you don't, all your homework will get bad marks. It's best to sit down with Dr. Anderson if you're having trouble; she was very helpful. The paper was the biggest time consuming project. See the librarian early if you can. I've heard that she's better than Dr. Antinou...
Worked w/ Biz models a lot.Get to know those suckers.Shes very condescending towards students questions.But if she remembers you/your name she'll grade you better.The paper was crazy-hard but I did it 5 hours before it was due and failed most quizes and still managed to get an A in the class.Prolly cause I shot the sh*t w/ her when I turned it in.
This 1 unit (7 weeks) course goes pretty fast... there is not too much reading but there are four 2 page papers and one 8+ page final paper. Prof. Anderson grades fairly and anyone who makes an effort should do well.

GBM 351 was so easy. Class was fun, she expects communication from the class so if you don't participate, she gets mad. Overall, an enjoyable class and nice professor. Not sure what the problem is with the previous post, but they are wrong.
Quiz every class and she tries to trick you. Only get credit on assignment if it is exacty what she wants so if you are a good guesser take her. does not explain well and grades low because what she wants is unclear.
The most worthless professor at CSUSM. Never explains things, and reluctant to show up or schedule office hours because she always has a "meeting" to go to. Take Prof. Antoniou instead.
This teacher is horrible and ridicously hard. Don't take her, if you dont write exactly what she's thinking in her head, you will fail all your assignments. Horrible class and teacher.
Her tests are short response, essay multiple choice fill in the chart/blank and matching. Don't be late or she will screw you on the quiz which is almost everyday. You use a clicker. Class participate is mandatory however gives little to no points in grading for it. Hwk is not hard though it has to be in the exact format she wants or its a F.
Having escaped from the mental hospital, Prof. Andersen is completely insane. Lectures are useless but she takes attendance. Quizzes are mostly common sense. Her teaching style can best be described as a blind woman leading a group of deaf kids through a rock concert. But seems to grade easy so take her, but prepare for frustration.
All these peoples comments are ridiculous!!! All of you just want an A handed to you. She is always prepared for class and she is a nice lady, just misunderstood. I received an A in her class. The people that got bad grades on cases or business weeks just didnt take the time to study the business models. Geez, grow up...welcome to college!
It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to pass this course. Antoniou is actually the harder professor of the BUS302 professors. I did bad in the beginning of the class. But did very well in the end. Very helpful through e-mails (e-mailing is a must!). This class is a lot like taking accounting class for the first time, so you must work hard!
One of the most boring teachers I have had. She grades by favorites. Ppl with the exact same work would get diff grades. Stay on top of all assignments and study for tests. She does curve, but wont outright admit it. I got an A in the class but it took a lot of work. You have to buy the clicker and the book is NA online bcuz she wrote it herself.
This class is super boring and requires a lot of work for a 2 unit class. Do the work and study for the tests and you will pass the class.
She's a GREAT Teacher. You just have to review the notes often. Her lectures are to the point. She will REPEAT IT what's important! She's a NO BS kind of person. See her during office hours. She wants you to understand the material!
This professor was the worst at CSUSM...she almost made me quit college. She grades very poorly unless you can recite her every word. I hated the class.
She's a great professor. Really sweet! She is tough and picky with her grading. Read the materials. No tests just quizzes, but a big final. Pay attention to her she when she speaks in the beginning of class. There's usually some quiz questions that are talked about. Take her during the summer if you can. No big final project.
She is the WORST EVER. Take her in summer. Super easy just do the work. You'll never get 100% on anything but your grades do progressively get better. 2 people can turn in the same work and get 2 different grades. Quizes are super easy, never scored below a 90%, the final quiz was easy. No one will ever do a business model correct, so don't try.
I think she missed her calling as a kindergarten teacher. The class is easy enough, but her grading is inconsistent as is her method of teaching a couple of the business models. It's a painless class, but not very interesting.
If you want to take a nap, take her class. Everything you learn is on your own doing the homework, and she grades by throwing darts, it is easy and its hard to fail, so show up and be amused. dont buy business week because she will hand them out for 3 weeks then you can just read the articles online
She is really unhelpful and doesn't really care what you have to say. She doesn't know anything about technology and wastes half of the class trying to figure the clickers out. My Midterm score of 68% was considered high. I know there is not much choice for BUS302 - but at least be aware what you are getting into.
Terrible teacher. Seems like a nice old lady at first but shes not. The good comments about her literally must have been typed up by her. The entire class of 100+ argues with her over her ridiculous grading, and shes as stubborn as a mule. Nearly impossible to get above a C in her homework. Class usually averages out at 60-70 percent on her exams.

Go to her office hours at the beginning of the semester. If she likes you, and you do your work, you will pass. She is a very inconsistent grader. It was a class joke cause your grade was always a toss up. Slept through many classes and still got a 95 for participation. Overall, go to class and talk so she likes you. Also, read the book!
I'm currently taking this professor.Anderson is totally useless and I do not feel comfortable. If you want to do good in her class, you have to stay on her good side. DO NOT ASK HER QUESTIONS! She is easily stressed and inconsistent in her grading. If you must take this class, take her in the summer so you will ONLY suffer 6 weeks.
I been studying and attending class everyday, but she shows she does not really care even for those students that are dedicated. Stares at you and stubborn as a mule in what she thinks. Forget about questioning anything. Read the material, pay attention in class, and pray she does not grade you on your appearance. She is definitely a weirdo.
Nice at first, then it's total hell! She actually makes you feel dumb when you question her. Her grading makes no sense. I been studying everyday and she still makes no sense. She trembles a lot and has her favorites picked. She will make you feel like you don't belong in college. One of the worst professors I ever had. Unapproachable.
Completely INCOMPETENT Prof. Such a ridiculous class, Don't even know why it exists. To top it off, they put this (So called) prof. to teach it and totally screws it up. I asked her to revise a paper for me and she said it was really good and that I should turn it in like that and she ends up giving me a C- on it (That H.W. was worth 10% of grade)!
She is a very good teacher.But she will make you think critically.Before the tests, go over the ppt presentation and you will be fine.The stuff is easy. Don't try to know the details, try to get the business concepts. I got an A without much studying. Did homework and model analysis. But that helps a just a little for the test and final.

This lady needs to pull her head out of her ass. My friend and I did the exact same assignment the exact same way, I got an 8/10 he got a 6/10...WTF? Also, the homework is hard. I got an A on the midterm, A on the final, and an A on the final paper...but C average on the homework. Ended up with a B+? WTF? Also, it's her way or the highway!
This class is so vague, no wonder her grading is off the charts. Go to class, pay attention to current events, read the BW and you'll be fine. She grades easy on the presentation unlike Mr.A
Interesting that Prof. Anderson is one of the highest paid prof's in the Bus. Dept. What a joke. Was this class invented just for her to remain here? The textbook is a cut-and-paste deal including copies from a mgmt textbook and outdated articles. Students have to take this garbage instead of a class that provides a good basic concept of business.
I had Anderson for 302 and 442 I understand that people don't like her because she is a hard grader, don't get me wrong she is. But please take her for 442 you will have a new appreciation for her, go to her office hours she will help you! She is awesome you will learn from her.
Very vague in what she wants. After the first assignment, she will give examples from past students. USE THEM! They will seriously help you if you don't get it. I felt like I was going to fail after I got a C on the midterm and poor scores on the assignments but I ended up with an A! Just use those examples as guides/templates and you'll pass!!
By far the worst professor on campus. Me and my friend worked on the same project together and he got an A and I got a D. Clearly makes no sense. Her grading is pathetic, you better hope she is in a good mood grading your work. I don't know how I ended with a B but whatever...I guess attend all classes. Oh yeah, don't ask questions..god forbid
Prof Anderson is a cool lady. She's super-knowledgeable, and the information she covers is dense with a lot of meaning. The learning curve for this two unit course is long and hard. I think the grading is a little unfair, but you get whatever you put into the course. I thought I did great, but I got a C. Others try differently, and they get Bs. WTF

Beverlee Anderson is a very knowledgeable professor. Many say her class is hard, but honestly, if you just apply yourself and do the work, you will do fine. Make sure you do the readings and catch up on the news. Your grade depends on the effort you put into it.
She is nice and wants what's best for her students. However she has very subjective grading and doesn't explain requirements very well. Tests are difficult - Read the material!
She does not teach well at all... I would try and ask questions about what to do for assignments and most of her answers consisted of the word um. classes are boring but you have to go, she checks attendance every class Expect long homework assignments, between 3 & 8 pages each. only good thing that it was done in pairs.
Everyone is complaining about her but she really isn't that bad. I'm not a straight A student but I got an A in this class. If you look in the book as a guide for the assignments and ask her to look over it before it's due she will help you and tell you specifically what needs to be changed. If you actually try you will get a good grade.
Prof Anderson is not as bad as the negative reviews left here. Her class consists of about 4 assignments, a midterm, a final paper, and a final. The midterm and Final are worth 45% of your grade. Best suggestion is make friends, study with them, go to her office hours before each assignment. Take notes and review them don't wait the day before test
In regards to previous rating, the midterm and final are 55% ! Go over the power points. Make sure you know what she is asking of you for each assignment and you'll be fine. I email her, and go to her office hours before each assignment. She lets you chose between 5 wsj assignments, only do it if you feel confident bc she won't let you make it up
Dr Anderson is and forever will be one of the old dog professors. While she means well and is a loving and caring individual, she is known around campus as the hardest grader of the business school. Effort is not rewarded-only accuracy, make sure you memorize exactly what the slides or textbook says. If you have the option to avoid this class, do.
