The teacher was easy, but the class was a pain to go to every other day because the length was shortened and cancelled on the days you actually show up.

Prof. Amer is very nice. This is a boring class, but she does her best to make it interesting. Make sure you don't talk while she's talking though!

She was absolutely my favorite teacher of the whole semester. I thought I would hate the class, but she really helped to make it interesting. If you don't understand, go to an office visit, it makes a world of a difference. She's the best CIS teacher there is from what I've heard about the others.

Professor Amer is a great teacher. Her class contains a lot of work but she was so helpful and gives you more than enough time to complete every assignment.

ALOT of homework and weekly quizes on vista. I don't like days in the lab but the other days aren't too bad.

She's really nice, but sometimes makes you feel overwhelmed with everything you have to do. It's do-able, and it's also useful information.

She is really nice and does her best to make everything clear despite the workload. She is brilliant and knows her stuff. Finally a computer teacher who KNOWS how to use them. She wrote the softskills book so be prepared to do every last assignment in it. Did i mention she baked us cookies?

Be prepared to have a lot of homework, but it's nothing hard as long as you sit down and do it(and seriously do it cause the points add up). I loved this teacher, one of my favs at NAU and she really knows her stuff. Subject is def boring though just go to her office hours if youre confused.

She is by far the best teacher to have if you must take CIS 120. Avoid the class if possible but if it's unavoidable, get Prof Amer. She makes the class very interesting and knows what she is talking about

Great teacher, very helpful. It took a while to get used to the amount of work she doles out (its A LOT) but its very do able once you figure out your own system. Dont miss class and always do the quizzes the monday before because you can bump your grade up in the class the next day.

Great teacher! She will assign a lot of work, but its not hard, just time consuming. Definitely take her as a teacher- She will prepare you for any other CIS classes you will take. Also make sure to make your group project presentation PERFECT(she will help you with this)- its worth a fair amount of your grade.

Amer is an amazing teacher! She teaches accounting primarily but teaches CIS 120 well. As with all introductory classes to Microsoft you will be following a book full of tutorials and instructions so as long as you keep up with that you're good! She is very helpful and get to know her she will support you in every way.

Definitely a great professor. Very approachable and helpful. The work you do is in several areas but once you get used to using all the different locations to do work it doesn't seem like too much. Very fun class and very hands on so you actually LEARN something. Definitely recommend this professor and this class.

Honeslty, If you don't have to take CIS 120, don't. But if you do, take it with Amer. Such a great professor, knows what she's talking about. TON of homework, seriously you are overloaded with homework all the time. But there is always enough time to get it done. Work is pretty difficult too. But Amer is always willing to help.

She is a sweetheart but the exams are really hard. You actually have to read the text. Access/Sam2010 projects are pretty difficult aswell.

I had taken this class before with a different professor. I don't really remember his name but I failed the class. This class is a lot of work and if you don't get Professor Amer then you're going to have a bad time. She made the material interesting and easier to learn. She is absolutely my favorite professor so far. (After two years)

Great class! Class could be quite challenging because you have to lots of busy work, but stuff you learn are very beneficial. Professor Amer is very helpful when it comes to some issues you come up with, so just contact her whenever you come up with an issue. Do your work and you should be able to pass this class without any problem. Recommended.

Professor Amer was good, although the class itself wasn't the best. She replies to emails quickly and available to help you with most of the online assignments. However, she requires you to hand write an average of 15-20 pages of cornell notes every week and if you choose not to do them, your grade will drop quite a bit. I would recommend her.

She is one of the best professors I've ever had. She sends out an email after every class saying what we did in class and what we need to be doing before the next class. She is so nice, helpful and really wants you to succeed. Its a lot of busy work, 20 pgs of Cornell notes a week, but she is pretty straight forward about it.

Great teacher, crappy class. Best advice: Show up. Do the Cornell notes (they may seem tedious but DO THEM). Do the online quizzes for the notes (I forgot about these often, DON'T FORGET!). Nearly pass with a low B. Do the rest at an average level, and most likely get an A.

This class was pretty dull and made much worse by the 20 pages of handwritten notes required each week. However, Prof. Amer is a good instructor. She made it more than clear what was due each week by sending out a weekly email and tried to make class interesting. Lots of busy work, but it's very easy. The cornell notes aren't a big deal. You don't have to put effort into them really. Takes me a few hours at most a week. Tests, projects, and in class stuff is very easy. If you show up and do busy work, you'll get an A. Amer keeps lessons interesting in class. Don't take if not required though (busy work).

One of the sweetest professors I've ever had, she brought us homemade cookies on multiple occasions throughout the semester! I found this class to be extremely easy as long as you stay on top of the coursework (which is a lot). Cornell notes took forever but definitely boosted my grade and the quizzes were all done in groups with open notes.

If you have to take CIS120, she's your gal. Amer is super sweet and brings cookies and candy to class sometimes. There is a lot of busywork and the Cornell notes are not fun, but that's how every CIS120 class is formatted. If you have to take it, Amer is your best bet.

The notes are long and tedious but she does that in place of written tests and exams, which is worth it in my mind. She created the CIS 120 material so knows it very well. Even though she has over 500 students, she makes a point to get to know all of them if they let her. One of the best teachers I've ever had.

There are quizzes every week, but you work in groups and can use your notes, so pretty easy to get an A! I definitely recommend her.

Beverly is naturally a sweetheart and seems to care about each student, even if she doesn't know your name. She sends weekly emails and treats the class as if they couldn't easily grasp knowledge or systems like Microsoft Word. This class is required for business students, I just hope you like Cornell Notes.

Beverly is such a nice lady. The class is very straight forward, she sends weekly emails detailing what we did in class and what you should be doing, i.e. what's due for the next week and when. The class is a large, but Beverly doesn't make you feel like you're just another face in the crowd. Just expect Cornell notes, and do not not do them.

This class was a very easy A as long as you did all the assignments. The exams are not too difficult is you do the SAM projects and even if you don't do too hot as long as you do your hw you have wiggle room. The Cornell notes each week are tedious but that's the only bad thing about the class. Beverly is so sweet and makes you cookies! :)

AWESOME professor you must take if you have to take CIS120. She is like the FCB mom, she bakes cookies for all her classes and really listens when you talk to her don't be scared to go into her office!

Professor Amer is one of the best speakers I have heard in my life. She is very passionate about technology and the effects it has on the world. I highly recommend her if you must take ISM120. She is very accessible outside of class and is very lenient.

Professor Amer was an amazing professor! She is the cutest lady and her lectures are always fun and interesting. She even brought cookies on occasion. You're responsible for a lot of assignments in this class, but she makes sure that you remember what is coming due and there's plenty of help available from the TA's.

Prof Amer is one of the best CIS 120 teachers, I've heard. Yeah, there are 15 pages of Cornell notes per week which suck but that is just how it is for CIS 120.

There were 3 difficult things about this course. One, is the cornell notes- you're required to take 15 pages of notes every week. Two, the weekly quizzes are extremely difficult but if you're good at guessing you'll be fine. Third, the big capstone exams aren't too bad just confusing. Make sure you're prepared!

Do the weekly 15 pages of Cornell notes. They don't have to be good, just do them and you get the points. Weekly quizzes are easy and in class quizzes are with a group and open note. Learning Microsoft Office is fun but can take time to watch all the videos. Mostly just do the assignments and you'll get an A. She sends out emails telling whats due.

Ok I took ISM120 with Prof. Amer in the fall of 2016 the only thing that made this class difficult was the 15 pages of Cornell notes required weekly, although she showed us a new note taking method she's probably going to implement. As long as you do the work there is no way you won't get an A. Great teacher, she made showing up for class fun.

Does tech current events each class that are very relevant and interesting. She cares about all of her students and their futures. She often brings treats to class.

Professor Amber is such a caring individual. There is not nearly as much homework as previous students had, as the course changed fall of 2017. The big assignments are to be completed online, so be sure to give yourself enough time for those. Overall, the class was pretty easy and Professor Amer made dry material engaging and enjoyable.

Beverly is an amazing professor. She is so helpful and really cares about her students. Her lectures are really engaging and you only go to class once a week. There is homework every week and its time consuming but not hard. She's one of my favorite professors if you're failing the class she works with you to get you the best possible grade.

Professor Amer is awesome. I enjoyed the information she presented about technology in the modern world and the discussions we had. It was very student centered and fun. Most of this class is working outside of the room, so you must stay on top of assignments.

Prof. Amer provides SO SO many opportunities to get extra credit. She makes class really easy. You have to spend at-least 3-4 hours on the online assignments each week. You'll have m, one online quiz at home, a quiz in class about the quiz/reading, and then an end of class quiz. SO SO much work, but easy to pass. Cares about students a lot!!!

I absolutely loved this class. Prof. Amer loves all of her students; she says that we're like her children. Her lectures are interesting because they always have something new, current, and up-and-coming (as this is a technology class). The homework is a real pain, you will spend hours on it, but you have 5 attempts to get 100%. Take this prof!

Professor Amer is such an amazing teacher. Her lectures are extremely entertaining, interactive, and fun. You get reading assignments every week that are then used to complete mini quizzes in class and online assignments about different Microsoft Office applications. Both take about an hour to do.

Professor Amer is very kind to all her students. Class always seemed pointless, considering we were only graded on assignments outside of class. She made the lectures interesting, with games blended in and interactive discussions. Be prepared to spend some time on the assignments. They aren't hard, just tedious. I highly recommend this teacher.

Professor Amer was amazing, if you're taking ISM-120 try to get her. The class is only one time a week. She engages the class with games and other activities. The homework outside of class is really time consuming so be prepared to spend 1-2 hours on homework.

Extremely easy class as long as you do the work and show up to class. She really wants you to pass, so she'll make the time for you if you reach out. She seems harsh at first, but it'll ease up after a couple of weeks.

Took her a few semesters ago. The homework is just following directions on Word, Excel, etc but it's very tedious and take a couple hours to complete every week. Not her fault though because that's the whole concept of ISM. Her in-person classes were fun and she is a very kind lady.

Professor Amer is an inspirational woman & you can tell she really wants you to succeed. She often ends class early and responds quickly to emails. I took her for Excel Spreadsheets and Decision Analysis. Her lectures cover everything that we need in order to do the assignments, & she teaches us many skills. Overall, I enjoyed her classes
