Took Business & Society w/ her. Very cool teacher. Talks about current issues and problems at hand. Likes class participation. Tests are easy. Read book to answer her questions at beginning of class. Easy A if you pay attention and read the book for test questions.
she is very helpful if you dont understand shell help in anyway she can. very interactive class. study the review and youll be fine.
I do not agree with the "easy A" post. You are going to have to read the chapters and come to class for an A. The review alone might get you a C if you show up everyday and take good notes. And, you will have to do a group presentation that is worth a letter grade. Class is more fun than others but do not ignore reading the book.
This professor makes you actually understand what she is teaching. The class is by no means an easy A, but she sure does have a great way of teaching you the material to where you actually learn it and not just memorize what's going to be on the test. Reading the chapters are a must, but it relates to issues we are faced with now. Great Teacher!
Feels like I'm back in kindergarten with this class. I don't mean that in a bad way. She has activities that get you up off your seat and learn. This is one of the best professors I have ever taken and this is only my 3rd day in class. She LOVES to teach and does a GREAT job.
extremly nice teacher, diff. teaching method very helpful, You have to read the text to pass test's not a blow off class.
Dr. George is an awesome teacher and very helpful. She strives to see all of her students succeed in class and out in the real world. She has a different method of teaching which I really enjoyed. She has four exams and drops your lowest, but provides a very good review. S make sure you go to class!
I thought she was a bad prof. Maybe it was just my class, but she was extremely moody! She talks about her job experiences the entire class and then tests from the book material. She does give you a review and will give some answers, but don't ask her to explain the review questions.
I thought she was REALLY annoying -- talking to us like we're back in middle school, asking us to do silly projects that were worth a letter grade. Also, she went on a tirade about academic dishonesty and how she tapes the class and will call the police if she catches any cheating. But she pretty much gives you the test answers for review. Easy A.
Easy A? I dont think so. You need to read the book in order to pass. Her review does not help at all.On test day she make you put your belonging against the wall and not under your desk how silly is that. She make u do silly activities at the end of each class which is a waste of my time and money. I rather stay home and study on my own.
The comments below saying she's a bad teacher were obviously from the people that got caught cheating and failed her class. She is a wonderful teacher, very helpful, very respectful. She loves high energy classes that participate. Group presentations graded on involvement of the class. Very fun. She drops a test grade.
She is a wonderful teacher. Uses non traditional teaching methods. Very helpful.I really enjoyed her class. Overall, as long as you participate in class and read the chapters before the tests you will do fine. She also drops a test grade.
My favorite professor, she is amazing,a great motivator. Class is an easy A, but you need to be on the review days to make sure you got everything down cuz she basically follows the test while giving a review! Enjoyed the class!
She doesn't really lecture from the book as she relies on her life experiences. There is a class project which requires high energy and audience participation. She got better with the test reviews throughout the semester. I would take her again. Didn't study as hard as I should have and still made a B. Drops your lowest test grade.
Her class is kind of boring but make sure you attend the class regularly b/c you never know when she will start the review for the test. She is extremely helpful even outside of the class. Her lectures are based on her life experiences so doesn't really follows the book. I would take her again because her class is not so stressful.
Great Professor, Great motivator, she makes learning fun with group projects and demos. Easy class if you participate
Awesome Interactive Experience of bringing "Real world life" into each class. Learned a great deal.
not good at read books and study, memory by yourself, don't take her.
I don't particularly care for her teaching style. This class feels too much like high school, with all of the class, group participations that she does. Also she's not very clear when explaining test questions. You ask a question and she just looks at you like you should know the answer. Her tests a decent, though I wouldn't take her again.
Don't taker her. You learn nothing except some common sense you already know. Test are compelety based on the book.
Loves her students and her job. If you work hard and show it she will work with you. Made HUGE changes to help the class after the 1st test. From an F to an A because she does care and wants you to succeed. Nice, will keep you awake at 8 am.
First test was majorly hard (which she curved bc we all did so bad), but she gives you a review on each one after that. Just study the review and show up for class and it's an easy A+! Very nice teacher too. If you get to know her..she's really helpful if you need it later in the semester...SO GET TO KNOW HER!
I'm still on the fence about Dr. George. The exams are very hard yet the group assignments are very easy. The class was rather pointless. I was really excited about the class at first but I didn't learn one single thing (and I am here to learn). If you want to pass, read the book, read it again and read it some more.
Great professor, the first test is hard but after that she makes the tests like 100% easy. She gives a review of 100 questions with easy to find answers and they're exactly the same on the test. Study that and you'll make a 100. I loved this class, wouldn't mind taking her again . She gives bonus points for attendance on presentation day so be ther
Dr. George is great and she really cares about her students. Her style of teaching is very different and you will not be bored during class. First exam was hard but she adjusted the remaining exams after receiving feedback fromt he students. Lectures consists of movies, videos and student presentations. Great class.
Lively classes. Experiential learning. I was involved the first day to the last. A non-traditional learning experience related to real world experiences. Information I could use. Highly recommend. No sleeping here. Plus fun to attend and she provides excellent reviews for exams.
Whoever gives this lady a good rating needs to transfer to the Liberal Arts College. Her fluff has no place in the business world. I wonder why the MANA dept is the only one who didn't list the instructors assigned to their classes for the Spring semester in MyMav?
Her class is very abstract which I LOVE! Not boring at all. First test is very hard and then she gives a good review for the rest. Group project is a must but somewhat easy to make an A.
She's weird. She talks about herself a lot. at the end of class you wonder why you came because it had nothing to do with the material. But showing up I recommend because she adds random questions to the test to see if you came to class. Group prodject is an easy A, tests are kind of hard. Just read the book.
The teacher is disorganized, the projects will not teach you anything. She is awful!
This class will be a waste of your time. The professor is moody and runs the course like you are in junior high. On a good day you may cover about 15 minutes of actual course material while the rest of class is an insult to your intelligence and a complete waste of time.
I am an international student. I can firmly say that this class was a class I loved the most and learned so many things. Dr. George is clearly experienced and knowledgeable about the subject. The presentations and the films she shows make the class more fun.
Teachers say all the time "this is not your class" and then it is. For once a teacher told me that this would not be a typical class and it was not. The teaching method is very effective. I believe that the most beneficial part of the class was the panel presentations.
she gives review sheets w/ page #'s to find the answers. She EXPECTS you to dress business PROFESSIONAL, not casual. The class is a lot of fun, you'll do 2 group projects using audience participation ie: have a wheel of fortune game/jeapordy/ or dance off show for review of your assigned chapter. Groups must be VERY diverse.
Now class meetings are pointless unless you are an international student who has never worked before because that is who she teaches to. If you do not fit into that category, good luck with going to class to learn something. She gives the review and it is what is on the test...you have to look all of the answers though!
Class is super boring, she is usually way off topic. But you do recieve points for attendance. You will use the book because you have to look up all the answers for the review. The reviews are very very similar to the exams! Made and A
George is ok. Very easy class, but she is very off topic, and almost nonsensical. She gives out reviews with test questions on them. Her lectures are pointless except for bonus points. Ignore her, read the text, do the review, and you get an A.
She has a different facilitative approach. It is a novel idea, she likes you to participate & be engaged in the learning. For those that want a boring reading power point slides to you, then this might not be your class. I'm from the Navy & I thought she was fair to everyone. But she expects you to engage, & be ready to discuss in class.
Was told to take this class because it is an "easy A". NOT. She changed her method and doesn't give reviews that are helpful. Attendance is mandatory and class is completely off topic.
Do not take her class. Her tests are very hard and the reviews do not help. The class is very off topic and this is supposed to be an easy class, but it's one of the hardest i've ever taken. Most of the students in class have really struggled.
nothing to study in this class. Dont take here class. For the text, she added 2-6 points for one version and version is not even though both the same question but different order. the lecture is useless...
She is a terrible teacher. Everything she does in class is irrelevant in comparison to the tests. Her reviews are nothing like the tests and even chooses the wrong answers on her own tests! AVOID HER!!
I think Dr. George is very misunderstood. Her classes are strange, and rarely have anything to do with the material, but she gives reviews well before the test that have every single thing from the test on them. Can't ask for more than that. Cares very much about her students, and is more than happy to meet one-on-one.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. She does not teach the material in the test you receive the review and have to teach yourself 7 chapters in a matter of a week... Don't let her fool you in the first couple weeks of the semester.
Horrible professor! You dont learn anything from her lecture. all she does is talk about her boring life, which would be alright if you didn't have to go to class, but she takes point off for attendence! stay away from this teacher!
AVOID THIS PROFESSOR.She doesnt teach in class. She just do random stuffs and spend class hrs doing unnecessary things. EXAMS ARE HARD . NO CURVES. ATTENDANCE MANDATORY.Most people end making C in this class.
Her class is ridiculous. She doesn't teach a single thing yet has mandatory attendance. There are no assignments or extra credit. Tests are super hard and don't follow review given. She doesn't post updated grades on BB. She yells at the class if someone complains to the dean about her. She calls people out for using their phones in class.
Dr. George was one of my favorite teachers this semester. She was hard and the tests where killer but the class was very informative. I would highly suggest her to others taking any managment classes that she teaches. I will be taking a will take upper class courses with her for sure.
She requires you to go to class, but if you just read the book, you'll have all the info she "teaches". I put teaches in quotes because all we ever do in class is talk about random things. The subject is NOT interesting, nor is there very many things that are relevant to the real world. The professor HATES to admit when she is wrong. Don't take her
While she does tend to get sidetracked in her lectures, Dr. George is a great and very helpful professor. She is actually willing to come up to campus to meet with students one on one on her days off! I do not know of any other professor that is willing to do that!
Class was boring, she couldn't teach and she changed her method. Most of the reviews were pointless and I really regret taking the class. Tests were difficult and she kept getting off topic. At one point, there were more than ten students complaining about their grades after an exam. AVOID.
This professor goes off topic so much that I forget what the course is about. Every lecture feels more like an open counseling session than an actual class. She also tends to talk a lot about herself than the materials we should cover in class...I had to stay in this class for financial reasons, bu I warn you to DONT TAKE HER CLASS
Her classes are not your typical sit and read the power point slides or out of the book. You are expected to be engaged and contribute to the discussion of the material. Reviews before tests that are exactly like the test questions. Easy if you have good study habits ;) I also had her for 3318 and made an A.
Don't take this class. Really regret it...
She can't teach and is pretty unreasonable. If I knew how this class would turn out I wouldn't have taken her.
Great person. not teacher. Want high gpa? Not in this class. Want a class thats interesting? Take this class, but be ready to read, read, read, and read book some more. The only way you can get an A is to read covered chapters 3 times. and maybe one more time. and have study groups. its just not a good class to get good grade.
Highly recommended to read, reread, memorize, and review the textbook if you choose to take this class under this "doctor" Not a professor because she cannot teach. One time she taught HOW to make a powrpoint instead of teaching what was ON the powerpoint. She cares for her students but students need a teacher in school, not their caring grandmother.
Good person, but unfortunately she can't teach. She tells us that reading the chapter once isn't enough and her reviews don't match the exam. Just know she will throw a fit if things aren't going her way.
Do not take her. Classes are spent discussing about putting the material into reality, but above and beyond from what you need to know for the course or the test itself. She gives a test review but it wasn't necessary since I still flunked her test. Plus her face she gives you when you ask a question ugh...just don't take her if you can help it
Dr. George is nice but is not a good teacher at all. Granted, in MANA 3318 the material is all nonsense (basically how to be politically correct in a big corporate company). I have a 3.5 overall GPA and made a C in this class! The tests are very difficult and the material will not be covered in class. Definitely avoid this professor if possible.
She is nice once you get to know her. The tests aren't extremely hard to pass, however they are extremely hard to make an A on. The worst thing about this class is that there are few grades, so make good grades on everything! She is professional; don't use your phone or be late. Not a boring class, very interactive.
Interesting class. Time flies by. She does not teach however. She will talk about one Subject but test you over numerous. She gives an extensive review of questions. Uses a test bank and old tests.
This professor doesn't tell us anything, her answer is always "its in the syllabus". SHE DOES NOT TEACH, her test are HARD. I barely pass. Everytime you go to class, she always discuss about the chapter instead of teach it and often get off topic
If you take this class, go ahead and prepare yourself to fail. She is extremely UNHELPFUL, she doesn't even know the material herself, she drops occasional low blows into her commentary to pass the blame off to someone else, she speaks in annoying voices that make you want to leave class immediately, her tests are IMPOSSIBLE to pass. AVOID HER.
She really knows about Corporate America that's what I loved and she made it interesting. I believe Professor George is a great teacher unfortunately I had to drop because the class was in the afternoon, the test were a bit long and challenge and it should be, but there weren't many test only 3 so you cannot fail any test.
You only have 3 tests, along with some other ways to earn a -few- points(participation, resume) so if you do bad on even one of them you can't get an A. The good thing is she gives reviews before the tests and her tests are a lot like the review, so make sure you study that review. Show up to class because she randomly passes out a sign-in sheet
This class is pointless taking it with her. She spends about 30minutes on one powerpoint slide. You could pass her exams not going to class if you read the book and do her review, but she does pass out a sing-in sheet everyday for participation points. After a while you get tired of her stories of being a secretary.
I remember when about 15 students were at her office because of the poor test grades. A student even went as far as to show her that one of his "incorrect answer" was right there in the book. This class was a joke.
This class is different than most, you interact in class rather than listen to the teacher read the power points. Read the chapters and study the review and you will pass. Would not say this is an easy A but a light work load class. Takes daliy attendance by passing around a sign in sheet. Very knowledgeable teacher in the field of management.
Dr. George teaches this class like a graduate level course. She does not lecture over powerpoints instead she makes the class interact about the material. Would not say this is an easy A but a light work load. She is very helpful and knowledgeable in the field of management. Took her for a lower level mana class and made an A. Will take her again.
Her lectures were pointless and she literally never talked about the test until after we've taken it.
I wish I would have taken a different teacher. I have made a solid effort to learn in her class and have come away with nothing. Half the class is listening to presentations and the other half is listening to her tell you that she is experienced in this field, with an irrelevant story.
.Ask a question she will act very upset and disrespected. Bad teaching.
We have a presentation on she makes us critic our peers for our own grade. Class is boring but mandatory. You could pass the class without going and just reading the book. Her reviews are okay but she doesn't want anyone posting the review questionsanswers on on site like Quizlet. I would definitely try and avoid her.
She is helpful if you ask for it and is willing to meet you halfway. The lectures are not very helpful, but the exam reviews are great for studying for the exams. There is one big group presentation toward the end of the semester, and the whole semester is basically preparing for that. It isn't crazy difficult, but you do need to put time into it.
There aren't many assignments and the tests are straight out of the book, but she is literally the worst professor I've ever had after 5 semesters of college. She starts class late every day, lets it out early, and doesn't cover the course material. She actually gave a full 50 minute lecture once and my class applauded her at the end.
She literally spends the whole time talking about herself and what she's done. Her grading is purely subjective and she gets mad if you ask any questions. This is by far the worst professor I've ever had and MANY would agree. Even if you're only other option was like a 6 am class, you'd be better off doing that then taking her.
She is very rude & her grading is hard. She is so easy to get angry on her students. Once she is mad at someone, she'll get mad to the whole class. She always says she follows the rules that's why she has bad reviews. So it basically means like she is saying other teachers don't follow the rules.
This class may seem like just another speech class.. But it's not. You spend all class period learning nothing over testable material, 23 of your semester is with your assigned group preparing 2 speeches only worth 20% of your total grade, and the test are nothing like the review she gives out. Your best bet for the test would be to read.
She shares a lot of her real world experience which you won't appreciate unless or until you are in the working world. Not a boring class, very interactive to keep you awake. She gives reviews that are very helpful but had some confusion with the newest edition and last years textbook edition. Not a lot of extra credit, attendance counts.
Had the usual group project but not a lot of time in class. It was difficult to coordinate 6 students schedules to work on the presentation project. She wants you to succeed and is there for you but you must put in the effort. No tolerance for slackers. Easy if you do the work. Interactive class, not one you can sit back and play on your phone.
There was a lot of discussion among peers as the primary learning. She did not actually teach anything herself. She gives out very long reviews, but they are just like the tests so as long as you do the review you will be fine. Terrible teacher though don't expect to learn from her, it's all on you to learn the material.
She is a very unclear teacher. long reviews and only covered 10% of the test. EVERYONE in class complained about test grades. Never posts grades on blackboard until the last day so u never really know what your grade is. Studied intensively, always in class and still got a D resulting in expulsion from college and I had B's on all my other classes
Terrible. You don't learn from her lectures. Test are very hard, somewhat similar to the reviews. I don't recommend you take her.
Professor George is amazing! She will expect your attention and feedback in class. Will say something to you for being tardy or interrupting class. Which I liked. She expects a professional environment which we are in the school of business so that should be expected. I learned so much from her class and seeing business in a new perspective.
Most of the time tiring to scare you to not cheat. Test are hard and unclear. Tell you 1 thing and do another RVIEWTEST. Teach from PP but NOT directly. Talks more about personal experience than material. Some extra credit but it wont help your grade much. Rude through email. Avoid this teacher. Must read the book to pass. Can teach yourself
She "teaches" from PPs, but generally just glazes over. Gives extremely long review for questions that she pulls from the dept test bank. Problem with that is that don't cover what actually taught. I read the book and studied and still ended up with a C (had a 3.5 GPA). Her only concern (mentioned daily) is her fear of students cheating. AVOID!
If you have read the material, class can be interesting. If you are intending her to cover every item, then this is the wrong class for you.
I took her in 3 other classes. Enjoyed the interactive style of learning. But I had to study the book and read the material. But i got to explore different learning styles in this class. Show up and participate and a good grade is possible.
She's a joke... easily one of the worst professors at UTA.
She gives out reviews that are exactly like the exams, attendance takes away .5 of your overall grade each time you don't show up, and she's a stickler for cheating - once expelled a senior the semester before graduation due to cheating. She talks a lot about herself and doesn't really cover material - she had us do actual arts and crafts.
Reviews are actual test questions, this class is pretty easy, just show up and read the power point slides before the quizzes, and its an easy A.
She gives you a review before an exam, but half of the definitions aren't real definitions - they're just "similar" so don't bother looking in the book for them because they're made up. I dreaded waiting around for her class because she hardly taught anything of value, clicked through a powerpoint, and talked about her personal life.
Our class mainly consisted of her making us shake hands with one and other and repeated introductions for no reason rather than learning the material that we were going to be tested over. Stickler for cheating, made us place bags on the side like we were in middle school. Overall very poor learning experience for the money you pay.
She a very Spunky professor. As long as you read the chapters you can pass. She also gives a study guide. There are 5 quiz worth 10 points. She keeps everyone engage. You will love this women.
She was an okay teacher, every once and awhile there would be an interesting lecture. She teaches most of the material but I didn't feel prepared for the quizzes/tests without reading the chapters. She a sweet lady and it wasn't a bad class.
Dr. George is easily one of the greatest professors I have had at UTA. She really knows her stuff. She has ppt's but doesn't go off of them, she practically has this material memorized. Loves involvement and hands on learning. Gives reviews, but you have to study and pay attention to pass. She really cares and wants you to do well. Would take again
Dr. George is an excellent professor. She does her best to help you succeed if you want to. Her reviews are very helpful for the exams. She goes over a lot of information that you can take with you later in life.
This professor is okay, but the class is way to test heavy for comfort. Over three-fourths of your grade is comprised of three test. Professor George is caring, but she does not adequately prepare for exams.
She treated the students as if we were still in high school. If she saw their cell phone out she would take it from them. Lectures were long and sometimes dry with a lot of stories about her past. She was a nice lady overall. I would take her again if I had to.
You show up to hear about her life story. She very frequently will make you get up out of your seat to do some activity that is childish and pointless. If you arrive late or leave early she will bash you in front of the class. Treats students like in high school, and will take phone up for texting. Would NEVER recommend this class to an adult.
Reviews rarely match the test. If you want to pass with a good grade be ready to read. My suggestion get with a study group. does not actually lecture over material just tells stories related to the material.
Reviews are almost identical as to the test, so you can pass easily with an A or B. Regardless, this class felt like a joke. Irrelevant personal stories, videos and arts and craft activities. I only forced myself to attend for the attendance points, but honestly felt like waste of my time and money. She takes up phones. Don't be late or leave early
She is a terrible professor treats you like a child. After having my child I returned to class the next week and she actually had the nerve to say something about what I was wearing. I kept my calm but will never take her again. Very disrespectful.
The only good thing I can say about her is that she gives good exam reviews. However on her T/F section, pay close attention as she can change one word and throw the whole question off. Read the textbook and after class ask her any doubts. Gives a ton of personal stories relating to the chapter being discussed. She engages you in the material well.
Honestly this was one of my easiest classes this semester. All you have to do is show up in time, be respectful to her and she will be respectful to you. Make sure you pay attention to EVERY word in the study guides.
My experience with Dr George was awesome, her teaching style made lectures easy to grasp. she cares, she provides useful and excellent tips to shape an outstanding career professional. I would definitely take her again
She can be a very good teacher, but she lets her self-get bothered by students that post reviews on online, or by people doing group study through a groupme class chat. She is very strict in many respects. Also, if she finds any of her reviews online she'll change the reviews you are supposed to use to study for her exams.
Show up having read makes big difference In understanding the lecture and ultimately making a better grade. She works with you if you're honest.
Lectures: Talks about her experiences a lot. Pop quizzes: Not for our class because the class was too big. Review tests: Yes, but she's able to control the difficulty of the tests. Sometimes the test will be the same as the review, and sometimes the wording will be very different. It's a way to control grades. Textbook: You'll need it.
Lectures and book are your key to pass. She sometimes dozes off into discussing experiences involving the topic, but ends up not covering the material completely. Tests are just like the review and all answers can be found in the book. I did enjoy having her as my professor.
She contradicts herself and the book during lecture, leaving you to figure what she means or whether to trust her lecture or the book when it comes to note taking. She seems to think her life is the subject of this class. Success in business doesn't translate to success as a professor. Take her as a last resort.
Ive taken her for 4 different mana classes, and I would still take her if I get a chancec gives solid reviews, you cant fail this class trust me! And shes very nice and caring, and Just dont use your phones in class because she hates it! Do the review take the test and you should easily make a B , I totally recomend her
I think is the worst part about her class is her attendance policy, she treats college students as if they are high school students. If you show up late prepare to be ridiculed. It's asinine to me that as a college student who's literally paying to be there that she treats her students as if they're children. Avoid her at all costs.
The only grade we have are tests. She gives out a review that is similar to the test but doesnt say the answer. Spent 3 hours going over the review and still didnt get an A because the answer she wanted was different than what I found. Easy to get a B and maybe an A if you memorize the text completely. Overall not a very good teacher.
Take her! She give reviews and she kept class engaging. I'm never bored of her classes. On review, she give all statements to memorize for t/f questions and MC questions to make sure you understand the content. She give extra credits on random attendance days which goes toward exams. I was worried at first b/c of rmp, she's chill most of time.
Definitely take her! The only grades you'll have are 4 test but she gives you a review and all the answers can be found in the book. Can easily be a B, even an A as long as you put in the effort. I will be taking her again for MANA3319.
Must take this class with Dr. George. She is an amazing teacher. She makes class fun and educational. She gives examples based on real life situations. You will only have to take 4 exams (multiple choice)and she is so amazing she gives a review for each exam. As long as you read and study for the exams you should do great. She is caring/helpful.
I took this class as an elective. 4 exams that are based entirely off of the textbook. Her lectures consist of her talking about her real-life experiences and interactive activities with other students that in my opinion, is a waste of time. I only showed up for the (possible) extra credit. She picks out her wordy questions from the reviews.
She often talks about herself and experiences. The class is an easy A as she gives out reviews for the test, there's four, so as long as you study the review you should be good, but make sure you refer to the book and double check her answers as she is not good at giving the answer to the review questions when ask. Overall this class is an Easy A
Lovely Professor. But don't expect to learn the "new and improved" ways of business. I learned more about her sister who comes to visit or how to approach meetings in Taiwan than testable info. Her slides are copy past from Cengage (which should give you a hint at how helpful they are xD) And her test has nothing to do with lecture. DO THE REVIEWS!
She is a really great professor. Her reviews are very detailed, so if you do the review and study it you can definitely pass the test. the stories she narrates in class are interesting and her class is actually fun.
She REALLY cares for her students & wants to inspire them as well. She uses different & unique teaching styles throughout the semester to help students learn the material & engage with each other. She loves to see her students participate in the quick group activities ( it's for learning purposes, not a grade). Read chapters, she gives reviews.
Dr. George did an amazing job with teaching our class. While providing real world examples and ways to apply the skills we learn in class, she also makes herself readily available to all of her students and encourages everyone of us to push ourselves to the limit and get out of our comfort zones. Do the reviews and you will make an A in this class!
Some very nice people just shouldn't be teaching. She 'preaches to the choir' about attendance, cheating, grammar and ethics. Makes mistakes constantly. If you ask her to clarify something she'll confuse you even more.
Dr. Beverly George is amazing and she truly has a passion for teaching. If you fail this class you honestly just didn't try.
Dr. George is very nice and caring for students. She gives test reviews so you know what to focus on to study. I studied the reviews, read powerpoints, and made an A. She loves to interact with students and sometimes do some class exercise.
DR. G: very kind; loves her students; extremely knowledgable; applies stories to material; provides test reviews a week early; responds to emails; loves to help in and out of the class. YOU: attend & participate in class; study slides, notes, review, and book early; be respectful and stay off your phone; ask questions; be open-minded. I LOVED her!
Absolutely horrible instructor. Most of her lectures are incoherent rambling. Read the book, skip the god awful class. She is actually insane. She alienates the very few students that bother to show up by making sarcastic remarks to people's questions. Avoid her!
She is the absolute worst teacher to take for Mana 2302. Shes condescending, makes slick remarks, victimizes herself. Rambles & is very confusing. Reviews do NOT always correlate with test. Makes you feel dumb when you ask her questions. More passionate about cheating & not using GroupMe to discuss review w/ others.
She is very sarcastic and rude when you ask questions. Dont learn much from class lectures and its overall very boring. Her reviews arent always similar to tests. Wouldnt recommend her at all.
Professor George is very caring and supports her students inside and outside of the classroom. She gives very comprehensive reviews, and will work with you to make sure you succeed in her class.
George was a terrible professor. She failed to do her job as an educator, as she blamed the students for failing instead of trying to help us understand. Her reviews hardly had anything to do with her exams. She became condescending and hostile when confronted about her subpar guidance on the content. Took her for the positive reviews, but dont!
Worst educator I've ever had the displeasure of knowing. Condescening, two-faced and unnecessarily hostile. Avoid her class! The lectures are incoherent and the reviews do not match tests. Awful class.
Be ready to lose your mind taking this professor. She likes to change her rules for grades out of nowhere and her lectures are awful. There are much better professors at UTA for this course.
An easy A. The test reviews are basically the exam answers. She's a nice and caring person. If you're looking for an easy A for little work, take her class. Just 4 exams, 4 discussions. You can pick if you want a cumulative or non-cumulative final. If you're looking to actually get some real-world knowledge, don't take her.
do not take her. Such a simple subject that she just somehow doesnt teach. You will have to rely off the book bc lectures are pointless. theres like 4assignments tot in this class. She lied about applying extra credit. Test are more complex than what she prepares you for. She is a nice lady but she doesnt need to be teaching. take another prof.
Nice lady, but awful at teaching. Reads a barebones sideshow over the chapter and then goes on rants. The only grading material are four exams and a participation grade, no extra cred like the syllabus states. Exams have material she never talks about. Each exam had to be curved about 10 points if that says anything. Take someone else.
Prof. George helped with getting out of my shell. If you are quiet/shy, she is very helpful. She does a lot of exercises in class to engage every student. She has minimal assignments, gives detailed reviews of every exam and goes over it in class prior to exam. Overall, Prof. George was a great professor for MANA 3318, and was extremely helpful.
Most of her lectures consist of reading slides line for line. Don't bother taking notes during class. You'll most likely have to read the book to finish her test reviews (which she does NOT provide a key for). Attendance is mandatory and will affect your grade harshly given that there are ONLY 3 grades (tests) in the class, excluding the final.
Professor Beverley is incredibly talented, compassionate, and cheerful. She wants us to do well in exams. However, she will not make it too easy for you if you do not contribute any input. You will listen to her lectures without any pauses because of her wonderful way of teaching. Learning is fun with her, so you have to attend her lecture.
she is rude and low tech so she will not respond to your email when you really have a question. She always had off-topic and did not relate to the lecture. You can't do test 3,4 without the source from Quizlet or Chegg but she thinks it is negligible. SO she will report you if she knows you use it as material for study.
She is the worst educator I've ever had the displeasure of knowing. Condescending, two-faced, and unnecessarily hostile. Avoid her class! The lectures are incoherent and the reviews do not match the tests. Awful class. She will not respond to your email when you ask questions.
She is very sarcastic and rude when you ask questions. The lecture was boring and did not relate to the test. Don't take her class, she really doesn't know how to teach, worst educator. She likes to change her rules for grades out of nowhere and her lectures are awful. No response to an email, two faces!
DO not take her if you don't want to experience a boring lecture. Such a rude lady but pretend to be very sweet. Absolutely horrible instructor. Most of her lectures are incoherent rambling.
Rude lady, and awful at teaching. George was a terrible professor. She failed to do her job as an educator. Reviews do NOT always correlate with tests. Do not respond to emails and be rude when you ask her questions.
One of the worst professors I have ever had. Her instructions are never clear and she is very unorganized. I have never in my 4 years of undergrad have EVER written a rate my professor review. But when I tell you to avoid this professor. AVOID HER
Don never ever take this Professor! She is completely rude when you ask her questions. She will not reply your email. Her lecture completely boring and not related to the test. You will regret if you take her class, gain nothing and boring !
She is completely rude and doesn't know how to teach or deal with the student. Don't ever take her if you don't want to get a bad experience. Alway off-topic, no responsible, boring lecture, review not related to testing. AVOID HER
Don't waste your time with this professor. She really doesn't know how to teach, boring lectures, and she is always off-topic about her life, her trip.... Her material is not helpful, to do her test you not only read the book but a lot of other sources. She will not respond to emails when you need her. In general, she is not professional working.
Heavy tests, boring lectures, Geogre will not teach you anything, no responsible, she is too old to catch up the tech, no-reply email within 24hours. when you ask her a question related to the lecture or the test, she has to open the book to read but doesn't know the answer
omg, the class was horrible and super confusing. Does NOT clearly explain her expectations and does not respond to emails The test is the most confusing and only way to get grades. SO if you are a horrible test taker, Attendance is mandatory or she will deduct points.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR HER CLASS
Don't waste your time with this horrible professor. She really doesn't know how to teach, has poor lectures, and is not related to the test. AVOID HER
The test is very confusing with lectures, a horrible Professor, rude, and no response to your email when you need her. She fail to be an professor, boring lecture.
Horrible teacher. Learned nothing. DO NOT TAKE even for an easy grade. Exam questions do not ask what she wants in her answer. Will NOT listen to students. Bad class.
She was the worst professor I have ever had. She doesn't care about you. she doesn't have enough knowledge to explain your question. Her lectures and is very monotone the entire class. 3 tests and then the final only grade you. So if you do badly on one test, your semester is over. She is absolutely terrible. UTA should be ashamed
George is absolutely terrible. UTA should be ashamed, she should not be a teacher in an unprofessional way, not respond to emails. Don't know how to teach, she has just talked nonsense in the class, and had boring lectures. If you don't want to waste your time, AVOID HER
AVOID HER if you don't want to waste your time. She is terrible and doesn't know how to teach, She fails to be an educator, and UTA should be ashamed. Go to her class gain nothing with boring class, poor lecture. Test was not related
Very boring class, George can not be a Professor, doesn't know how to teach, and how to deal with the student. She should not work in the education field.
Out of all my professors at UTA, I remember Dr. George the most. She led great classes, encouraging participation and discussion. She was caring and really wants us to succeed. She has high standards but is doing it to prepare us for the real world. I learned a lot in her class and she was much better than most professors I had.
