I love Dr. Sher!!! I was initially intimidated by ED but I gained a lot of knowledge from the class and Dr. Sher. Readings were typically very dense and long but interesting. As long as you put in the work and take advantage of the resources, you're set! This class was definitely more time consuming than other C150s, but definitely worth it!

This course was super interesting and each topic discussed in class was explained fully through group discussion. This class had a huge workload with lots of reading and writing. Prof. Sher was a tough grader on the long papers but she gives clear and beneficial feedback. She is accessible outside of class and she is very caring.

The class was very interesting as we learn about a lot of stuff that are super useful if you are pre-health. Lots of reading, don't be afraid to take this class, I got C+ on my papers and still ended with a B+. Don't write your papers the day it is due.

Do not take this class unless you are a pre-med student. The content is interesting, but the work is disproportionate to all other COLL 150 courses. She grades extremely harshly, with only one class A on any given assignment. Unless you are a person who enjoys tumultuous workloads and critical grading, do NOT take this class.

If you wanna take an easy STEM class, here you go. Dr. Sher is such a nice person, and knows how to make you think. I'm a STEM person so this class made me feel right at home. There is some reading you have to do, and you do 2 projects. Overall, great class. The only downside is that this was an 8 am, and attendance was taken

Professor Sher is one of the nicest professors I have had at W&M. The class is difficult, but she genuinely wants every one of her students to succeed. If you have any interest in public health or medicine, I highly recommend this class!

This class is definitely one of the harder coll 100s offered but it was really interesting and taught me a lot of valuable skills. There's readings and discussion points due at the beginning of class which were a bit dense but also really interesting and useful. Dr. Sher is a really great professor and cares a lot about her field and her students

Definitely not the easiest COLL 100, there's a lot of reading/you have to write detailed discussion points/questions (a lot of scientific critical thinking). Her fermi problems are fun, but sometimes confusing, they really get you to think (prior math knowledge is sometimes expected). There are 2 projects, not hard. Dr. Sher is a really great prof!

Professor Sher is kind and willing to help you outside of class, but she is a really tough grader. The workload takes up a lot of time. Each class would have about 1 hour of reading (tends to be more) and you have to write discussion points. The discussion points and participation boost your grade a lot and are easy to do. The final paper is hard.

Dr. Sher is very knowledgeable and every class is incredibly interesting. CHEM 150 may be the hardest 150 with daily readings and two papers that she grades harshly, but office hours are very useful to clarify the assignments. It is possible to get multiple Cs and finish with an A-, but don't procrastinate. I would mainly recommend for Pre-Meds.

Professor Sher is truly an awesome person, and VERY knowledgeable. Her COLL 100 was really fun and very insightful! I've heard the CHEM150 is very difficult due to the amount of reading and harsh grading, but that she is still and continues to be an awesome professor as well as advisor and person in general. Highly recommend.

Emerging Diseases was one of the hardest and most rewarding classes I've taken here. I've never learned more in such a short time. This class will have you READING, so know yourself, but this is college, and honestly, it sets you up really well. Almost entirely pre-meds, but this really can be a class for anyone - I could not recommend it enough!!

There is no room for procrastination in this class, so prepare in advance for the readings. Participation is vital. She's extremely caring and wants the best for her students. With that being said, Dr. Sher is a QUEEN

Dr. Sher is amazing! She has high expectations, and the class can be a lot of work, but she helps you every step of the way. We had 2 books that we read and wrote discussion questions before every class, 2 projects, and a short quiz every Thursday. You will put in the work, but the class is super interesting and Dr. Sher is the best.

Dr. Sher is a fine professor who cares about her students but she is an incredibly harsh grader. The daily classwork is not too strenuous. My biggest complaint is her feedback on the papers. She often contradicts herself and gives vague critiques. You will follow her instructions exactly and then still receive a C on your paper. Do not recommend.

Dr. Sher is a decent professor but Chem 150 is a disproportionately difficult Coll class. Do not take this class unless you want to be challenged and don't have much else on your plate. A lot of work outside of class. Feedback on papers is not very helpful. Difficult to succeed in this class.
