great techer, very nice and kind. you do most of the work on your own and on the computers.
Not helpful what's so ever. Very unclear. Not a good teacher.
Good teacher, she is very clear and helpful, just don't be affraid to raise your hand if you get lost, she goes pretty fast. NOT AN EASY A, but if you do the homework and study a little, you are pretty much guarunteed at least a C.
i took this as a "multimedia course". her way of grading test was really easy, you got a point as long as you tried. homework isnt due till day of test and there isnt THAT much homewrok. she is a nice lady but hard to understand due to accent.
Very nice teacher. She is very helpful although shes a little hard to understand i would recommend this class if you want an A
Very nice. I got my first A in math in her class during summer school. The class goes by fast but if u do all the homework and ask for help when you need it you'll do great.
I loved being in her summer course. She made the lessons easy to comprehend and to the point. She was very strict but I never had any <i>real</i> problems with her. In the end, I earned myself an A, wOot!
This teacher is great! She gets the class involved with the lessons. She works with students who have questions. I would recommend all to take her classes.
great teacher, passionate about teaching and students learning material.
incredible teacher. so easy and clear. tests are a breeze. and she is the BEST grader ever! very fair, and helpful. i totally recommend her!
This teacher is pretty cool, but for me Math doesnt come very easy, so she was TOO Fast and has a pretty strong accent so ot is hard to understand her. She is cool for the fact, she gives oints for reading and answering in class though. A lot of homework and hard tests. Good luck
this teacher is cool, shes freakin helpful easy she helps u out if u got trouble in math :) sue me if u dont like her.
If you do your homework, and study that you will do well on the quizzes, since the questions are taken from the homework. She gives a good study guide for exams, do that, study it, and you will do well. She is always willing to help you after class, email, or at her office. Take her you won't be sorry.
Honestly, I think the class moves much faster than I would like. However, our professor gives pleny of opportunities to makeup any loss of points. The most important thing for students is to Not miss class. Thanks Ms. Anand for the great work, and please keep it up :)
From my experience in math 110 and 130, I can tell you that the minute you enrolled in any of her classes you won't regret it. Mrs. Anand is the best teacher I ever had. She is very organize, has good teaching style, and she is willing to help you at any time.
she is an excellent teacher that i have meet this far at longbeach city college and she seems to me one of the best teachers that really knows how to teach.
I think she's hot... if u dont want someone with an accent dont take her, but if u want someone who prepares u for quizzes, test, and finals take her. just due the homework for quizzes, practice test for tests, and the tests for the final and you'll get at least a B. she is very nice and will always help u. don't miss class especially near finals (
All I can say is be very careful when your making the decision to enroll in her class. She has a very heavy accent. She gives a fair amount of h/w that is from the book and the online course work. If you like math then she's an alright teacher, if you detest math then with that accent it just makes it more difficult to understand the work.
THis class was so incredibly easy with this teacher! she gives so many examples that its nearly impossilbe to get a bad grade in her class. great teacher!
SOOOO easy! drops lowest test score. and lowest quiz. at first i thought she was going to be hard to listen to because she has an accent. but it was definitely the easiest math class ive taken. She explains the material very well. and is always open to help everyone! i definitely think you should take her!

I LOVE THIS WOMAN! dont let the accent scare you away because shes very helpful and friendly. I suck at math and I passed. you do all the homework, get okay scores on the quizes, you can practically fail all the exams and still pass with a "C" ( at least thats what happend to me )SHES GRRREAT!
not very good english
she need to be a lil' bit clearer
Professor Anand has a big job to cover lots of challenging material in a limited amount of time. she is very helpful and will make time to cover material with u on a 1 on 1 basis or in a small group. it is up to you to go over the lesson in the text and do the hw. she does a good job of insuring she is clear in her explanations and board work.
there aren't enough words to explain how COOL this teacher is. yes, she has an accent, but she is so GOOD at what she does, it doesn't matter! she explains EVERYTHING and writes EVERYTHING out. she's the nicest teacher i have ever taken and cares about her students. she wants you to pass her class!! i DEFINITELY recommend this teacher!
she is really nice and helpful. Also, she explains everything very well.
She is a very good teacher. She provides good study materials and techniques. Also very clear explanations and examples.
This teacher is a nice person, but i had a very difficult time understanding her. I would not recommend her unless you have knowledge of the subject that you are planning to take w/ her.
Dude!! you have to take this class with MS ANAD!! SERIOUSLY! TAKE THIS CLASS...shes so helpful.. she explained the concept VERY well..im not a Math person but i did really well in her class...BASICALLy all you do is. do your homework,SHOW UP, if you show your work ON TEST can get 2 out 4 points even if you have the wrong answer haha TAKE IT!!!!
Nice professor and very tolerant. It is hard to understand her sometimes, but once you get used to the way she pronounces some words things get better. Her tests and quizzes are from the homework and previous quizzes, so just do the work and you'll be fine.
Her teaching way is very organized and detialed. Following her instruction, it is easy to understand those complex concept well. Moreover, she also provides website and practice tests to help us to prepare test.
Great professor, lot of h/w but good for practice
Good teacher, goes a little fast, but if you keep up with the homework day to day, you will be okay.
There are times when i could hardly understand her coz of her accent, but she's a really good teacher, willing to help. Sometimes she won't leave you alone until you get it right. The class is easy if you are willing to put some work in it. She'll flood you with homeworks but the Exams will be straight outa them.
Her lectures are long and could be a challenge because of her acsent, But she won't move on untill everyone gets it. she has A LOT of HW, her TESTS are hard but not graded strictly. One thing i like about her is they way she's willing to spend time with students that needs help. My best Math teacher so far. A!
Mrs. Anand is one of the greatest teachers ever. It really makes a difference when your math teacher is willing to slow down and re-explain something. I highly recommend her, she wants you to succeed!!
WOW... this teach is amazingly hot. Amazing teaching style, able to relate to her concepts. Easy teaching style and tests are based on lecture. I COULD HARDLY PAT ATTENTION BECAUSE HER BEAUTY WAS BLINDING ME.
Great teacher. Very helpful, always available, wants you to succeed. Hadn't taken math in 20+ years and I was freaked at the prospect of it. Stayed up with the assignments, asked questions, got the answers passed with an "A". Ms. Anand is great!
This lady cant even pronounce her english properly. You have to concentrate so hard on trying to understand what she is saying that you just tune out completely. She has no interest and no good way of showing her students easy ways to math solutions
Very clear when she teaches and she is willing and able to answer any questions you may have. She is very carring and tests on what she teaches.
I enjoyed coming to class every day. She was excellent at grading our test and quizes quickly and returning them and showing us how to correctly do the problems that were incorrect. She was also very patient and she showed us many math shortcuts I especially liked the one to find factors without guessing.
Impossible to understand what she is saying. Math is not my thing but i couldnt understand her so i eventually stopped listening and taught myself from the book. Tons of homework, hard tests. Expects you to know everything as soon as shes done teaching. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TEACHER.
Don't listen to this person below. She is a great teacher and very helpful. I took her for 45 as well. Just take good notes and ask questions.
im taking the hybrid class so the textbook is really recommended. But shes always avaliable on the internet to answer your questions. She always offers her help and really explains the reason for the answers until you completely get it. Shes a very sweet lady and very intellgent i really recommend her class
YES she has an Indian accent, but she is PERFECTLY understandable and articulate! She is THE BEST teacher Ive ever had, and I HATED math. You don't learn math w/out HW so just do it! She makes time for ppl who ask 4 help, and No she won't keep going if even 1 person is lost. She CARES and shes Nice... HIGHLY recommended!! She was kinda funny too!
yes she is hard to understand at first. but shes any easy grader lets you use note cards i had her for math 130 and it was easy i ended up with a c because i stopped studying.i heard she uses power points for calculus so that might make her hard but i wouldnt know about that .but she is patient will give you extra help and partial credit.she tries
She has an accent but lectures and explains with clarity. Her quizzes and exams are a little on the challenging side( it's calculus), SI helps. She's extremely helpful in and out of her class. I transferred to her class because she really cares about her students success as long as you work hard. to bad she doesn't teach Calc II
She has been the most helpful math professor I have had yet. Her ability to teach calculus as well as review topics from previous math courses helps those who forgot pre calculus or trig. I only wished she taught math 70.
hard to uderstand at first but shes such a sweet n helpful lady. she always gives partial credit in tests questions u get wrong for trying. she also drops the lowest test score out of the 4 we take. hw everyday but very useful n worth points. time flies so quick wit her n she is very generous. take her shes very nice =]
She is extremely helpful. She will go through every step with you with simple methods that are easy to learn. She gave out the practice test the day before every test. She gives out homework but you are not required to turn it in. Best math teacher I've ever had.
She uses power point slide show to teach in math 60. It is extreamly boring since she change the slide too fast, I cannot follow at all, and I finally feel sleepy. You'll be okay for exam if u do the homework well, but exam is kind of hard. Don't complain her mistakes she writes on the board. She'll be mad and take that studet unfair, badly
Thank you for giving me the help and support every step of the way in math. Even though the class is fast She is a very understanding person, and always takes the time to help after class. :>
She is awsome teacher for me i change my major because of her. She is an honest person. she explane very clear never wast the lecture time. She also help DSPS to understand Math. I took to classes with here now and i wish to take more with her i got A with here just because I do my home work.
I took Professor Bhagi for math 50 and 60. She is one of the best professor at LBCC. I love the fact that she wants all of her students to succeed. Even though the material is hard, she goes step by step so everyone can understand. Also, she is available before and after class to answer any questions. Take her class! A++
Bhagi is one of the nicest professors you can ever take. Her math is perfect. Every problem she does on the board is done from beginning to end. Her accent is perfectly understandable, and she really cares about her students.
I study math 60 without going thru Math 40 nor Math 50. Professor Bhagi is really helpful to students. She teaches and explains math very clearly. If you go thru lecture and exercises, you will easy get an A because the quiz and the tests from the lectures and also exercises. She also gives a lot of extra credit. Thanks for great help, Pro. Bhagi.
Bhagi is wonderful teacher. She goes well out of her way to help students understand the material. She gives students every possible opportunity to do well in her class. Many extra credit opportunities are given throughout the semester. It is very hard not to pass this class. I highly recommend Ms. Anand as a teacher. Best math class ever!
Best math teacher I have ever take. Even though Calculus is hard but she goes through all her work and answer every questions so that students dun get confused. Highly recommended for Calculus course
GREAT TEACHER
I'm taking her Hybrid class right now, and I just wanna say she is an extremely pleasant professor to be around. She really cares about her students, and she really knows how to break down the information and go at the pace of the students. I'd recomend Profesor Anand to anyone.
This was the easiest math class I have ever taken! I took her hybrid class and I didn't use the book at all, everything you need is online & all homework is online. She is very helpful and always willing to go back and explain again.
Very clear end helpful. Cares and wants the students to get the material
She makes the topic very clear and concise and is always available during her office hours for extra help. She drops your lowest quiz and lowest test score and will review any of the tests or homework with you. She does not check the homework but pulls test questions directly from it so do it. You must study for this class but it is well worth it.
I really enjoyed taking Bhagi's course. She is a great instructor. She is always willing to help you out when you have a question and or you don't understand something. She explains everything very clearly. You can tell she is passionate about what she does and that makes her a great teacher.
took this class online; her syllabus was perfect from day one, she was kind/helpful/all smiles at orientation and at tests...she is basically the most positive and encouraging math teacher i've ever had. i got my first A in math ever because of her user-friendly touch. i adore her. i love her. don't tell her husband :)
I took her hybrid class. She's really nice, extremely helpful, very organized & follows the syllabus. Sometimes her accent is hard to understand, but that's okay. College algebra is a very hard class you still need a lot of self studying. But she is always welcoming during her office hours for some extra help!
Professor Anand is great. Although her accent is quite hard, she explains until you understand. She is always there to help, and gives extra credit pts if you participate in class. Take her!
Anand is very thorough in explaining the material and doing more than enough example problems. I thought her test were pretty easy, as well as her grading style. Gives alot of extra credit. She is also one of the most caring teachers I have met who teaches higher level classes. Review lecture notes and do all the HW!! and you should get an A.
She is an awesome teacher. She loves to teach math and explains everything from the book. If you read the book, then you understand pretty well. She offers an SI after class which help understand better. She makes sure the students understand. Always offer extra help if you needed. Take her, and do all the class work. You will pass the class.
Okay so She was the best math teacher ive ever had. i always HAD Bs in every single one of my math classes until i got her as a teacher. Shes extremely helpful. Just do all of your homework and look at the examples she gives you on the board and youll get a good grade. Im taking her again for math 70 :]
In my opinion, she's not the best teacher in the world but she is the best Math teacher at least in lbcc. gives many extra credit but it is all group work. she does give hw but it is not part of the grade. Take note because she tend to give test and quiz questions base on her lecture problems.
She is a great teacher. She loves what she teaches. Professor Anand always is taking the time to make sure everyone understands the material. She is one of the best teachers I have had in my school career.
best math professor. has Practice tests and drops your lowest test and quiz. Has extra credit.
I took the Hybrid Class and although the Hybrid Class itself was hard, she is a VERY good professor! If you ask for help she will help you. She is very fair in her material & in grading. She will work with you when she knows you are trying. However this HYBRID class is very time consuming and not recommended if you aren't into math!
Extremely professional. Professor Anand has a great attitude and obvious love of mathematics. She grades hard and will definitely make you work for your A, but she also explains the subject matter in a very detailed and understandable way.
All around great professor, she truly cares about her students and their grades. She is always willing to offer help and extra explanation even if it gets her in trouble and she runs out of class time lol. If you struggle in math take her. You must attend class and do your homework. Participating helps, don't be shy I could mean a better grade!!!!
Good teacher, explains everything very well. At first it might be a bit difficult to get used to her accent, but otherwise she's great. She's even funny sometimes.
Best math teacher ever!!
What a sweet woman. I took her class online, but when I did see her she was extremely helpful. She loves what she does and wants everyone to succeed. We need more teachers like her.
I highly recommend this teacher. I took her class this last fall semester. If you just do your homework you will get an A in this class. Her quizzes are mainly from homework problems and in class problems. Her tests are the same thing. She gives plenty of extra credit and she put a lot of effort to make sure everyone understand the material.
An ideal instructor: knowledgeable, helpful, rewards effort and is approachable. Show the effort and concern to learn and it will not be overlooked. Provides ample homework, practice tests and instruction to know the material before exam time. If Prof. Anand is teaching my next needed math courses I will work my other class schedules around it.
I had Bhagi Anand for the beginning of my math requirements with Math 815 to the end with Math 45, and she was great! She is a vibrant compassionate person, and a "whiz" with math. Bhagi knows her stuff and explains the concepts well. She is very giving of her time, and cares about her students success. I highly recommend Professor Anand.
Professor Anand is very helpful and passionate about teaching. She is willing to review and explain things that other professors would say you should already know. She offers extra credit and gives credit for what you do know instead of only being interested in you getting the correct answerVery much interested in student success. Great teacher!
I am the worst at Math and ended up getting an A in her class. She is extremely helpful and passionate about what she does. I did not want to let her down, so I worked my butt off, and she noticed it.
I am really having fun in her class. she makes calculas very easy. she gives homework, but she wont collect the homework. if u do not do the homework it will hurt you, because most of her exam and quizzes are from homework or classwork. Her exams are not that complicated. overall its fun to take her class, only problem is there is no BREAK.
Prof. Anand was a great instructor! She is really passionate about teaching and really loves her students. She always takes extra time to explain topics and makes sure that everyone understands it. Her tests and quizzes are straightforward and the homework will help your prepare for them well. Her class was really great, I received an A.
Anand was a great instructor here at LBCC. She made math very clear and simple, she always encouraged students to visit her during office hours If they needed help and she answers every question asked in class very thoroughly. She cares about her students. Great teacher all around, she is the teacher to learn from! Very sweet as well.
Best teacher in the world. If i could I would continue getting her. She's really helpful and will help you if you need the extra help. I got an easy A, but i was very interested in the class. I do have friends that really did struggle in the class, but they were still able to get an A. :)
Best professor in the world, she is there when you need help and she helps you with study guides and the class is enjoyable. I got a B in the class without doing to hw so the class is great and very clear
Mrs. Anand is the best teacher I took her precal to cal 2 and its been great. her study guides helps with the test and she gives review classes if you need them . basically she tries her best to help and Im really grateful that. IF you wanna learn and have no hw take her hw is not mandtory
Yeah, she's a nice person & is very smart. But she doesn't teach in a great way. she moves way to fast & isn't clear. it's a passable class but you really have to know your stuff. she does give extra credit.
She is very helpful. She explains everything very clearly and she takes the time to help everyone understand math. Also she's very giving when it comes to points. If you do HW, pass the quizzes and her the test, which are mostly easy. Then you'll be fine. Be a student and do your best, she'll see that and help you pass.
BEST MATH TEACHER EVER! Very helpful and nice. She will go over every problem until you understand. Her accent can throw you off on the first day but you become familiar with it as the semester goes on. She keeps you interested with math jokes. As long as you try and participate, you can pass. I took Math 130 and plan to take Stats and 45 with her.
My class was online but I still enjoyed Ms. Anand's class. She always tries to find the time to help you learn the material whether it be review sessions on campus for upcoming exams for those who wish to attend, during office hours, or by email. She will go over every problem you ask & will make sure you understand it. Very nice & funny at times.
Excellent teacher I love Bhagi Anand. If you want to learn a lot take her.
Great professor. Clear and very helpful. Drops lowest quiz score. Always provides study guides which are very helpful. Overall easy class just study and do the homework. I got an A in her class.
Math was never my strong subject, but Prof. B helped me understand it for the first time. I was barely passing during the semester, but aced the final and it replaced one bad test I had during the semester! That saved me big time! Homework on MyMathLab helped out so much. She is very passionate in teaching and always has time to help her students.
I never enjoyed math until now! Professor Anand has an enthusiasm that radiates and motivates me to want to excel. She gives extra credit and pop quizzes that help you understand the concepts. She is a great teacher!
I absolutely loved her! She is such an amazing professor! She loves online homework but i fell like it helped me soo much. you can always reach her if you have questions. At first I was worried about her accent but you can totally understand something she said she will clarify everything for you. I wish i could take her again!
She's very nice, but isn't exactly the greatest teacher. She doesn't like to show steps on problem solving but just shows how to do specific examples from the book. Her reviews tell you to pretty much study everything even though only a quarter will only be on the test. But still, she is nice and I would take her again.
Fixated on areas of remedial math. Time in Calc explaining elem. concepts (how to factor, find LCD, diff between horiz/vert) rather than teaching Calc, making simple concepts confusing, is not helping students. I attended lecture to avoid point loss, found better instruction elsewhere. PS If you req. a favor she’ll ask you rate her here in return.
If Math is not your strong suit, Ms. Anand is the best LBCC has to offer. Before every exam, she offers countless reviews, and has open ended office hours. I made full use of this, and the best part is that she will come in even on her days off, just to help you pass the class. Absolutely the most caring teacher I have ever had. Enough said :)
Math is not my strongest subject. I was able to understand the material!!! She is a great teacher, she is big on online homework!! She gives take home, online quiz in addition to in class quiz and allows you to work with a partner. Also big on extra credit!!! Complete the 200 extra credit it will help with your final grade! I will take her again =)
She has an accent, her grading is fair, if she sees your work even you got the problem wrong she will give you partial points. She offers extra credit questions and on my math lab if you do 200 mastery points she gives you an extra ten points. I would take her again if I had the oppurtunity.
Amazing professor! very organized and most caring. She reviews before every test. Her lectures are crystal clear. She gives credit for class participation. She is availalbe during her office hours and does not move to the next section unless the whole class understands the topic. I would take her again!
This professor is really good. I definitely recommend her to all the future students out there. She is very helpful. She's always available during her office hours. She loves helping students understand the class. If I want to take Math in the future I would take her. Don't matter what her accent, she's the best.
Prof. Anand is the best! She is vibrant and passionate in teaching calc. Though it was calc 1, she pointed out what will be coming in calc 2 and beyond. Very helpful and most caring! Take her!
Very helpful with everything, she is always there to answer your questions a.s.a.p. Her class was enjoyable and easy. If you have a hard time with math, like I did, you should think about taking her class.
professor Anand is the best math instructor she is very helpful The class is not easy you have to work for your grade We really didnt use the text book because she would post handouts online for us to print You will need to use mymathlab for homework and online quizzes I really recommend professor anand she is fair in her grading she also gives EC
Anand is an amazing professor. she cares about students' grade and explains the topics very well. Very passionate in teaching math. She shows different resources and provides worksheets to understand trigonometry. Highly recommended!
Professor Anand is an angel, I definitely recommend her to every student. She's very good at what she does. She teaches really well and loves her students. She makes students love Math. How I wish I was given an early registration of classes in spring 2010 so I could have taken in the Fall. She is such an amazing teacher and wants students do best.
I took this in class but had online homework. You can easily understand her and always answers questions. I thought I would hate online homework but it really helps you learn the material and understand. The most understanding woman ever. PLEASE TAKE HER CLASS!!!!
Took hybrid class so I did most work at home but sat through a lecture and the test study sessions. Would take her again for ANYTHING. Upbeat, funny and passionate about the subject matter. Great at answering questions and understands the material well enough to explain anything. Very understanding and kind. Highly recommend her.
I was in her class, which was a lecture class, but the homework and study guides were online. I found the class somewhat difficult, especially near the end, but thanks to the online homework being easy and the easy extra credit she offered, I managed to get a B in the class, when I thought I was going to get less. I'd totally recommend her class.
Loved her so much she really cares about her students and puts all the effort she can into helping everyone understand what she's teaching. I recommend her to anyone who struggles with math.
OMG! She is great! For the first time, I start to like Calculus. She is very detailed in her lectures, answers every quetion, and all the more cares about the students. Passionate and inspiring. Take her!
Prof. Anand is knowledgale. She shows different methods for doing a problem. She provides handouts and study guide for all the sections, and they are very helpful. She answers any question from a student. She does not move to the next section unless everyone understands. Very caring and the sweetest person I have had!
Prof.Anand is super helpful and knows the subject. She has great passion for teaching calculus like difficult subjects. Prior to taking her I was not a great fan of calculus and now I want to learn the subject deeper and probably want to major in Math. I have not seen any instructor answering my emails at 1:00 am in the morning. Highly recommneded!
Excellent professor. She is enthusiastic, positive, and very intelligent. Her explanations are precise and easy to understand. As long as you are honestly trying she will bend over backwards to help you. I took Math 130 and Math 40(Trig) with her; both were great experiences. I'm hoping to take Math 70 with her. She's hilarious-great math jokes! A+
Please take this instructor!!!! she is the best math instructor i have ever had. :-)
Prof. Bhagi Anand is super helpful. Very caring and detailed in her explanations. Organized and shows different methods of doing a problem. Very funny, upbeat and hilarious! Highly recommended!
I took professor Anand class just this past semester spring 2014, and I just loved her. She is sweet and helpful. I have always struggled in Math and hated it. However she made it more enjoyable. I was so worried about my grade and she always told me you'll be fine just keep trying! I received a B in her class! She just awesome! Take her!!
Cannot express into words how much i love professor Anand!! Took her spring 2014. Offers tons of extra credit so i really recommend completing every problem on the online hw to get it (not difficult) passionate about math, responds to emails if you're having trouble and genuinely wants all her students to do well. Definitely recommend taking her!
Prof. Anand is genuinely interested in students' success. She replies to the emails instantaneously. Very clear in class lectures, extremely organized and provides feedback to the tests and quizzes the very next class meeting. Her study guides and handouts are super helpful, and her grading is fair. Overall, a great class for those who want to learn calculus. Highly recommended!
prof Anand really does want her students to pass, she doesn't like seeing them struggle. her lectures are good especially for being in calculus 2. The tests are very related to her lectures, study guide, and the homework.
Professor Anand is the most amazing math teacher i've ever had. Ridiculous amounts of extra credit if you get 100% on every HW assign. (its online so you get a lot of time to do that) which saved my grade from B to A. If you don't understand, she helps you and doesn't make you feel dumb! Super kind, amazing professor. i would definitely recommend!!
Prof. Anand is a great professor! I preserve the notes from calculus 1 and 2 till today. Her lectures are neat and her reviews and study guides are very helpful. Her tests will be from homework and class work. Very approachable, caring, and interested to see students succeed. Thanks to the professor for getting me interested in calculus.
I love her! I always struggled with algebra in high school so taking her class I was estatic to receive an A. Her accent is tough to understand at first, but you get use to it and she uses this mic in class. She's Funny, and she gives a lot of work. So do the online problems!! Ask questions and she will make sure you will understand the problem :)
It's hard to rate an online class. The program we used, My Math Lab, was very useful and easy to understand. Every now and then I would send the teacher an email with a question and she was very quick to respond. But the program we used was so user friendly there weren't many issues. I'd recommend this class for those who can manage their time.
Had her for Math 130 and again for Math 45. Both about the same. Not much needed as far as interaction with the teacher as the program we used, My Math Lab, was very user friendly. Good class, but you need to be able to manage your time well to do well. Online classes, especially math, are not easy.
Prof. Anand' s teaching style is amazing, very clear, and detailed. She gives handouts that are very helpful to understand the material. I wish I had taken her class in the previous semester. In order to pass the class, you should be prepared with her study guides and the practice tests. I am taking her Math 70 class!
Go for her. loved her class
Ms. Anand's class is not difficult. As long as you do your homework (webassign), do the project, and challenge problems, you can pass. She gives quizzes too. Her quizzes are easy. Her tests are from your homework & the quizzes. Every exam she give an extra credit problem(based on lecture). Her class is not hard. And she never miss/cancel the class.
Ms anand is very good at explaining. However I felt I could never do well in her exams no matter how much I studies. Her exams are not the easiest. Doing all your work will help your grade to improve, well that is true for all classes. The worst thing about her was grading. She did take away a lot of points for minor mistakes. Harsh grader.
Prof. Anand is probably the best math teacher I've had yet. She is super clear and knows what she is doing. Take the class with a bunch of friends, totally worth it. She literally prepares you for every quiz/test. Really amazing.
I loved this professor! She was always very helpful and was clear on the grading criteria. She drops your lowest quiz grade and will replace your lowest exam with the final if you do better on it! Also gives extra credit online which can really help out at the end of the semester. Would definitely take her again if she taught stats!
Best Teacher EVER for Math. Always there for you. Gives you alot of resources to get an A. BUT of course you have to study. She wont spoon feed you. You have to work for it. Calculus is a tough subject but she made it so clear and I learned math. I Had her for Calculus 1 and Calculus 2. You dont know how much i wish to have her for Calculus 3.
The class was 8-weeks , and I am not strong in Math. But Prof. Anand made the class very interesting, and above all she was a caring professor. She knows the names of all her students and she goes to everyone's place and provide her feedback individually. She tells ways and means to improve our skills. She is truly amazing! Take her class!
Professor Anand is one of my favorite professors ever. She is a tough teacher who really makes you work for your grade, but her lectures are very clear and she strives to help students understand the material to the best of her ability. She is a fair grader and gives you credit where it is due. Also, she is pretty funny and makes great jokes.
Prof. Anand is the best professor I had so far at LBCC. You can ask her any question and she will answer patiently. She will give different ways to solve a problem. Her lecture notes, handouts, study guides, and the website resources are extremely organized. She is passionate about what she teaches, and cares about her students' success.
She is a great professor. Highly professional. She is helpful inside and outside of her classes. I had taken another professor, I had to drop that class to enroll in prof. Anand's class. I should have done this one semester before. Prof. Anand teaching style is amazing and detailed. She rewards participation in class! Highly recommend her class!
Great Professor. Offers review sessions that are similar to exams.
Prof. Anand is very caring inside and outside of her classes. She comes to class well prepared, gives out excellent lectures. Her tests and quizzes are based on her lecture handouts and homework. Each test will have an extra credit problem which helps. Her study guide and practice exams, and reviews are helpful. Take her class, it is well worth it
Very great professor. Easy to pass the class just show up and take notes. Exams and quizzes are similar to the homework problems. There are a lot of extra credit opportunities. She wants everyone to pass the class. Not into math but she makes it seem easy. Take her you won't regret it
Very detailed lectures. Excellent study guide. Best professor at LBCC. Willing to answer any question. Take her.
Great Professor! willing to answer questions. Reviews precalc material where ever the class might have forgotten. Good study guide. Provides good handouts, so it is easy to take notes. clear lectures, and caring. shows lots of examples. Highly recommend her for calculus!
She is super helpful, lectures are good, reviews earlier class material, and very knowledgeable. shows tons of examples, organized, funny, and lots of math jokes. Highly recommended for calculus!
Prof. Anand is the best at LBCC! This class was a hybrid class. We used MyMathLab which was easy to use. Prof. reviews before every test, and you can also walk into her office any time and ask for help. She is such a sweet and caring person, fair grader as well. Take her!
Prof. Anand is amazing! very thorough explanations for questions. Explains the problems clearly, and shows different ways of doing problems. I like her factoring short cut method, and several short cuts to remember formulas. Very caring and hilarious! Highly recommended!
I took math 130 online over the summer. I realized that summer classes are rush, but 1 day to complete the homework, and study for the mid term, and final exam is just outrageous. through the course of 5 weeks we had a total of 8 exams, 6 weekly exams, 1 midterm, and 1 final. In all honesty this class was a rushed mess. LOTS OF HOMEWORK AS WELL.
Professor Anand teaching style is very traditional. She takes problems from the book and works them out on the board. My favorite thing about her is that she tells you everything that will be on the exam, which makes studying for the exams so much easier. I recommend taking her class if you are a visual learner and like things explained thoroughly.
Took a 6 week summer course combined w/another class. We mostly worked on Aleks and the teachers gave the option to attend lectures if you needed add'l help. A lot of students avoided the lecture and had a hard time passing. do the work, go the lectures and you'll pass. Prof. Anand had good tips and was extremely helpful when needed.
I like how Prof. Anand breaks the problems down. I liked how she taught integration to find volumes using real world examples. She is very passionate about what she teaches, and I have taken her for a couple of earlier classes. She is the best instructor, and cares for her students' success!
Prof. Anand is the best math professor at LBCC - Her focus is on understanding and she genuinely loves math, she is willing and able to teach concepts in different ways to help students really grasp the material and she is not at all judgmental when we struggle. She is wonderful during class and in office hours - she genuinely wants us to succeed
There was so much homework, you cannot do well with a study group. Be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to this class between the challenge problems, take home problems, homework, and extra problems from lecture along w/ studying. A lot of the time they were all due on the same day. Ask her questions in office hours instead for better answers.
She is very nice and cares about her students. I took her for 60H too and even though both classes were time consuming, I still feel like she is WAY BETTER than some of the other professors for Calc2. Trust. Also, her last name is pronounced AH-nd not An-Ahand. Pretty cool huh. Got a B, for Bummer.
You end up teaching yourself a lot for this class.
Great Professor. Caring & shows interest in students' success. I finally got a professor who can explain 'why' for all the formulas that we memorize. My previous math journey was not great, but now I have started liking Math. Always start the class with a 'recap' of the earlier material, and encourages questions. Take her, you won't regret!
Professor Anand is THE BEST! I struggle with math and she made algebra come alive for me. I didnt just pass, I got an A and enjoyed the material. She works at the pace the class sets, communicates honestly with students. She really works to make students not just understand but LOVE the material. 4 exams and a final, final replaces low exam grade
I took this class as a hybrid half online and you only go in for the tests. She is amazing and works with her students if you ask for her help. There are homework assignments due every week and weekly discussions. Also you are required to complete 5 SLA's throughout the semester. She drops the lowest test score out of 3 and a final. Offers 5% EC.
Prof. Anand is very passionate about what she teaches. She is a dedicated professor who truly makes you love calculus. Amazing lectures, and comes to class with lots of enthusiasm and energy. I would take her for any calculus class! She truly cares about student success. Highly recommended!
Professor Anand is the best at LBCC! I have taken her two calc classes. Both were very good. Take her!
Absolutely love her! It feels like she really wants her students to succeed. The math can be difficult, but she explains it pretty well. She always tries to help students by walking through the problems. If you do group presentations, make sure you know how to do your problem and be ready to answer questions!
TAKE. HER. She is amazing. I took a hybrid class where you only go to class on Tuesdays. She explains her grading very clearly. You need to do 5 SLA's due every week. She gives EC on her exams. Although you do need to purchase ALEKS. Drops lowest exam replaced by final. I hate math but she made it so easy for me. Sweetest lady ever!
Best professor for calculus! Knowledgeable, answers every question, moves at a pace that is well suited for the class. Offers great help during office hours. Caring and a sweet person! Highly recommended!
She is sooo sweet and nice. She makes it easy to ask questions and has handouts to make lectures easy to follow (u print those). Drops and exam and quiz and provides legit study guides. Gives extra credit for participation and doing +90% of hw on webassign. The class is tough if its ur 1st time being introduced to calc but she makes it manageable!
she is one of my favorite math professors so far. her homework and practice test on WebAssign is the best method for study for a test. her lectures are clear and understandable. she always like help students with any math problems. a lot of Extra Credit opportunities. I will be taking her again for math 70
Prof. Anand is professional with lectures, and handouts. 5-6 quizzes, 3 exams and the final replaces the lowest exam score which helps to improve the grade. Does not waste one single minute during lecture time, always review the previous class material, encourages participation, above all genuinely cares about students' success. The best professor!
Prof. Anand did an excellent job of teaching Calc3. She explained concepts well and issued study guides and practice exams for the entire course which was extremely helpful. Exams closely resembled the material that was covered and she made it a suprisingly comfortable class for how crazy the math gets in Calc3. I highly recommend Prof. Anand.
like her but her class is hard, she is very particular how she wants answers and will mark off points for it, she expects a lot of her students and sometimes it can be too a fault. she is willing to go over things a lot and isnt too hard of a grader and gives extra credit, no study guides or note cards for tests or quizzes, drops lowest test grade
Prof. Anand is the best! Her lecture handouts, practice exams, and reviews of earlier topics are well organized and extremely helpful. She will help you in step of the way to make the material easy to understand. She gives one extra credit question in each exam, and gives extra credit points for participation in class questions. Great Professor!
I took her Math 130 Hybrid (you only meet for the orientation, exams and final). The exams & final resemble everything on her study guides. She is definitely one of the most amazing professors. She is super nice and understanding, she helps you as much as possible & even makes YouTube videos explaining each problem on her study guides. Super Easy A
She completely understands the subject but my learning style didn't suit her teaching environment, but she truly cares about her students.
Shes a very kind lady i give props for that. I have nothing against her or anything but i wish she should look forward in searching for a new math program other than ALEKS. This program had waste my whole entire time in college. Too much homework and never had the time to study. This program never taught me anything but to fail.
Prof. Anand is the best for Calc. Taken her Calc 1 as well. She will always prepare you for the next level. She is knowledgeable, and her lectures are super organized. Provides great study guides and post the lecture handouts on canvas. She loves teaching, and a passionate calc instructor. Caring, and a wonderful human being! Take her !
Amazing professor! Replies to emails, helps to pass the class in every way possible! Exams resemble practice exams, posts the key, and videos for practice exams on canvas! Caring, and supportive!
Prof. Anand is the ultimate for calc 3. Though the subject can be very hard, she makes it seem easy through her lectures, study guides, practice exams, and 3D animations that she demonstrates. She encourages questions, gives an extra credit question in all her exams. Exams are mostly from what is covered in class. Super nice, highly recommend her!
Mrs. Anand is a great professor. Not only is she accessible outside of class but she goes out of her way to give you time on her time. She explains every problem that you have word for word. She also has tutorial videos on youtube that help out a lot. If you study and do the work you will pass the class.
decent teacher. beware she prefers to teach honors. gives you enough leeway to try and pass but is not helpful to students who are struggling. regularly tried to get students to drop and pandered to students with A's who didnt need her help.
Anand is an amazing professor! She is willing to work hard and stay up late to make videos for the students to understand the material and even when I took her class on zoom the lectures were clear and professional! She cares about students and will always help you if you ask. Take her if you want to succeed in the future!
Just as you're gonna get with any high level math class, you have to work for a good grade. Make sure to attend class and if you are unable to just communicate with her because she is super understanding. Tests were difficult but if you participate she gives EC and if you do all the homework you get a 2% grade boost. My class uses Webassign.
First off, her lectures were always 2.5 hours long, and she usually gave NO BREAKS. She goes extremely fast through the lectures, just rattling off formulas and has the "of course then we just do this, and then this, and it's easy" attitude. She also will demean you if you don't have your camera on, and FORCES it to be on for the first few weeks.
I do not recommend her. She is hard to understand and she has that attitude of "I know this it's easy, it should be easy for you". She rushes through lectures and expects you to know everything she is doing. And she forces you to download a software called proctorio for the exams/quizzes to monitor what you do.
Prof. Anand is truly a rare gem - she not only sparked my interest in MATH, but has inspired me to further my education, and did so through countless office hour visits (virtual). MATH70 (Calc II) was never meant to be "easy", but she somehow made it actually enjoyable. Lastly, the score on the final replaces the lowest midterm score - LIFESAVER!!
By far one of the best math teachers I ever had the pleasure of taking. Anand provides a great atmosphere and really pushes her students to do well. She is extremely caring and understanding! Her lectures are easy to follow and just in case you still didnt understand the concept, she does have YouTube videos posted. I would definitely recommend!
Prof. Anand truly cares for the success of her students. She definitely challenges you to do better and wants you to do well in her class. Since remote learning started she has done her best to transition the classroom atmosphere over Zoom and is constantly looking for feedback which was something I really appreciated!
Very kind and determined to help you understand the concepts she presents. She takes the time to explain it from different approaches, bc math problems can be solved in different ways. She explains thoroughly, and provides her own videos, and resources. Provides study guides, exams aren't hard. And do the homework, at the end it counts as EC!
She is one of the best professors I've had. Her lectures are thorough and she does a great job at explaining the concepts. She explains algebra steps. Professor also offers extra credit and will drop your lowest quiz and exam grades. The exams are similar to study guides and homework. I would recommend her to anyone taking calculus.
She is one of the most effective, caring, and engaging professors I have ever taken. Her notes, lectures, and homework assignments prepared me well for the tests. She provides great videos of example homework problems for additional help outside class. She is understanding and supportive of students who communicate with her. Highly recommend!
she has a attitude very much. she doesn't understand your feeling or situation . if you have emergency she didn't let you go. lots of homework and she has a one tutor he send you 100 email during weekend also.
This is one of the best professors at LBCC. She ACTUALLY cares about students and wants them to succeed. I was not looking forward to my first "real" math class and she made me so comfortable with challenging topics. She even gives a lecture handout for people to print and bring. If you see her name on any math class you need, take her.
Loved her Calc 1 & 2, one of my favo profs so far. Took getting used to, but learned to love her class. Print notes or keep up, great lectures(bit messy), youtube video lectures, drops lowest test & quiz, +1% overall for completing 90% hw/study guides, +2 for 100. Lots of hw but that is the same for any math course. Show you care and she will too!
She truly cares about how well you do in the class. She offers extra credit, a second chance to turn in your homework late with some credit, and if you show your work for your test she will bump points in exam. The homework is through Knewton and she made sure to not make it difficult and stressful for her students.
I might actually like math after this past class. I wish I could take more classes that she teaches.
I had her for 1st and 2nd Calculus and really loved her class. Even if the notes were a big load, she has provided her video lectures which is helpful. Exams are not hard as long as you do the homework and practice exams. Extra credit will add to your final score based on at least 90% of HW completed. I would recommend her for Calculus.
5/5 rating overall. Best math teacher by far, even if this was an honors calculus class. She makes the material easy for everyone. Attendance is mandatory. When you are in her lectures, make sure to participate and not do unrelated things because she will call you out. Exams are easy based on your homework. gives a ton of extra credit. TAKE HER!
Professor Anand was a great math professor, I took Math 45+ (basically longer lecture time), she is very clear in the expectations of test and homework, would review the material that was going to be on the test right before, uses premade notes that need to be filled in by during lecture. Highly recommend her classes, she is very understanding!
Prof Anand is my favorite overall! Honestly, she's WAY better than my HS teachers. She provides so much for her students, and the HW is challenging but it'll help you do well on her exams and quizzes. She even allows a formula sheet with only formulas during quizzes and exams. She drops the lowest exam and quiz, plus 2% overall if 95% HW completed.
Prof Anand makes Calc II actually enjoyable. Her videos, study guides, and willingness to help really aid learning. Using unstuck AI alongside her materials helped me ace the class.
Professor Anand was the best calc professor I've ever had. She is truly a gem here at LBCC. She allows cheat sheets during tests and will swing by and hand out snacks to her students. She is super sweet and cares about the success of her students.
Prof. Anand is amazing! She has a whole YouTube channel where you can rewatch lectures if you're ever confused, and she's always happy to help students during office hours. She is, by far, the best math professor I've ever had. Exam questions are usually something similar to what is in the guided notes or what is on the practice exam.
(Fall 2023) Amazing professor!! Lectures are clear and organized. The course is so well structured with lecture videos, amazing instructional support during lecture/office hours, and guided notes. Quizes and Exams are easy to study for, giving you confidence to succeed in the class. She is a national treasure!
(Fall 2024) I never had a professor care so much about my future. She helped me through a tough time in my life and made sure I stayed on top of my work. The class structure offered a lot of guidance and instructional support through lectures and office hours. Lecture notes were published on canvas, and clear expectations were given for exam prep.
(Fall 2024) Professor Anand is by far the most thoughtful and caring professor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. This class restructured my understanding of math, and I am exceedingly grateful for her. She cares for her students & genuinely wants them to succeed in & OUTSIDE of class. This review is cut short by the RMP length restriction.
Drops the lowest exam and quiz, extra credit question at the end of each exam, 2% ec for doing most of the hw. Amazing lectures and well planned notes. Friendly and easy to approach during office hours. Would 100% reccomend taking this class.
Not my favorite teaching style as it doesn't connect with me. But as long as you apply yourself you will be fine
