This is by far the best Math teacher in De Anza. I was hesitant to take Math 105 at first, so I enrolled in Math 101 and 105 at the same time. My 101 teacher lost me, and Mr. Abb found me. I understood Mr. Abb much better than my 101 instructor.

Great teacher. Math at any level can be a difficult subject for many, but it's just easy to learn from Mr. Abb. They say success is: find what you like, learn it well, and figure out how to get paid for it. Mr Abb has definitely done this, and done it well (at least the first two).

Abb is totally focused on the student's ability to absorb & retain the material. During a long class session he breaks up the material with seemingly unrelated topics that always return to Math! Bill is a great teacher. He is patient with answering any questions and wants to see everyone pass. i had taken algebra 5 times before and was scared to take it again. Bill eased my worries and helped me and everyone else through. He expects you to try and even if you cant get the right answer, you still get partial credit for effort. He's great!

This teacher really cares about his students and provides great one on one assistance when you need it most. Now, he does teach rather quick with little explanation, which is why you should always ask plenty of questions. Just make sure you do all the homework and you'll be likely to pass with an easy "A." Ignore all bad reviews. Mr. Abb is the best math teacher you can find. Very helpful, willing to make sure you learn. HW is on the computer. Notes can be used on tests, some quizzes. Easy going. Stays on topic, easy to learn. He's not like other professors who cheated their way through college and don't know how to teach, trust me you can tell.

Mr. ABsquare is an awesome. I took 112 and waited a whole yr to take 114. his way of teaching if easy just don't miss a day because it will defenitly hurt you that the only reason i got a B i missed a day and the sec and was lost during the quis other than that he is two thumbs up...plus handsome

Mr. Abb is an awesome teacher! There are weekly quizzes and homework, as well as a lab. Don't fall behind in homework or especially the lab, they're hard to catch up on. Attendance is pretty important too!

This guy is one of the very few teachers that keeps a class fun, and to make Math fun.. well, that requires talent. Easily one of the best teachers at De Anza.

He's very clear on how to do problems, and will go back and explain anything if needed. He shows different ways to do problems, which helps A LOT. Class is easy, but the final was pretty hard. I had an A throughout the class and the final brought me to a B+. He's an extremely kind hearted guy and actually wants to help you learn math.

By Far the Best Math Teacher. Entertaining, interesting, very patient & approachable. Kept us awake & unstressed late at night with short transition stories/jokes in between heavy lessons. A balance of hard and easier quizzes and tests. Study regularly and keep your points as high as possible because the final was accumulative & hard for most.

Mr. Abb is truly one of the best teachers that i've had so far. I ended up taking his night class because all the other classes were full, but it was fate! He's able to explain things clearly and gives you enough breaks throughout the class so you don't get overwhelmed. Sometimes seems to go on tangent, but somehow relates it back to the material.

Math was never my favroute subject,until I took Professor Abb's Math114 Class. I almost dropped Math212.But the way Professor Abb teaches, and explain Math,it seems so easy and fun. I just wrote my Final yseterday hoping for an "A".If you need to succeed in Math take Professor Abb's class,he makes learning Math fun.I enjoyed Math114 TREMENDOUSLY!!

Be aware that even though he is easy, you DO NOT get enough practice at HW (enablemath online) to get a good grasp on quiz/tests. You will have to study a lot outside of the HW because his worksheets do not cover enough either. If your math is bad and memorization at it, prepare to study twice as hard.

I failed almost all his tests but did all the HW and still passed. YES! Anyways, he is easy however his tests are not very clear. He'll give you problems that you haven't really done in EnableMath so if you aren't at least 85% sure on the content you may struggle a little. Just do ALL his hw and you should get away with a C.

Mr. Abb is an awesome teacher.I learned so much from his class by doing homework and taking notes and practice it at home. The enablemath learning system is also a plus. If you hate math take Mr. Abb class and Math probably will be your next interesting subject!

LOVED HIM! Super friendly, clear, and verrrry easy. First quiz and test is closed book (its so easy anyways) next quiz and test is open note, next quiz and test is a flashcard allowed, and last quiz is a group quiz and final is open note, one whole page of notes front and back. Essentially, no studying needed, just good notes. Highly recommend him!

Math is my worst subject. Although after taking Abb, I grasped his concepts so well and learned a lot! He truly knows what it's like to be in our shoes and gives us his all. If you're good at math, you still won't get bored because his lectures are fun and informative. Why? He ACTUALLY took a teaching class. Strongly recommend "OOGA OOGA!"

He's truly a GREAT teacher, BUT sometimes felt like you had to play his game without knowing some of the rules. Like when we lost points for not using a negative number on a graph on tests - it was never explicitly stated to do so. Very funny & helpful but tends to ramble, which caused a lot of students to lose interest in the 820-10pm class.

Abb is honestly the best teacher I have had in college by far. He is so helpful and funny. He makes math seems so easy because he has so many years of experience with all levels of math. If you going to take 114 at De Anza you have to try to take his class. He only teaches at night because he is a high school teacher in the day.

His lectures are clear, HW load is decent (will give you full credit for just trying, also gives answers out in class) He allows cheat sheets for exams. He is just a great person in general. Mr Abb is a very good professor who takes care of students. If you don't understand something, you always have the possibility to ask him. Homework are not too difficult and you have to do it on "My MathLab" and so you have the possibility to do more exercices. Quizzes/exams are identical at the HW and you can frequently have extra credits.

Took his math class during Spring quarter and I couldn't have chosen a better teacher. He explains very well if you do not understand the first time he goes through the material. Best math teacher ever. Makes learning easy and fun. Really takes the time to listen to your questions and answer them so that you understand what youre doing! He helped me EARN an A. Allows you to use your notes on (some) tests and quizzes!! If I had the choice to choose him for every math class, I would. Everyone in my class loved his class!

Thank you, Mr. Abb! He is a great teacher and really wants you to pass the class. Just keep showing up and do all the homework. Open notes for all quizzes and test except for the first 2 and open notes for the final! He really helps you out

I've never left a review for a teacher on here before, but I felt compelled to do so with Abb! I have always hated math and surprisingly, he mad it fun and enjoyable. He gives methods to solving things that are not in the book and it is so much easier! He is, by far, the best math teacher I have ever had in my life. Trust me, take him.

Abb is a really great and fun teacher, he's very caring for his students only wanting them to succeed, as long as you actually try in his class you will pass. The notes he gives are decent, they could be better and a bit more in depth. Quizzes are given every week unless there's a test, also hw counts towards your grade. Overall a great teacher

Abb has totally influenced my view on how fun math can actually be! Such a caring guy, loves his students, has plenty of stories to go along with his lessons and I have absolutely no problem going to his class, by far the absolute BEST math teacher i've ever had.

Best math teacher ever! He is so caring and understanding and really wants you to understand math. He goes over every single HW assignment if you have any questions and will answer any question you have if you don't understand the material. If you have to take precal TAKE HIM BEFORE. He really prepares you. I wish he taught every math class.
