Knows the subject well and can explain it clearly. Notes give you the tools to be successful. Need a lot of studying to do well - that's the nature of this material.

Wonderful teacher! He provides a packet of notes and only tests on his notes and lectures. He doesn't try to trick students on the test. You either know the material or don't. If you get a bad grade in the class, its definitly your own fault, not his!!

Thats is absolutely true about Bill Brothers. I took him for Anatomy and he gave me the creaps. I was afraid to go to his office hours becasue he was too flirtatious.

Class is very hard unless you study thoroughly every night. Tests are very straightforward. He's a decent guy but needs to turn it down a notch on the flirting w/the young ladies. Blech.

Excellent instructor. Very organized with lecture notes and lecture. He helped me get my grade up from a F to a C with coaching and encouragement.

Great Physiology teacher. The course is harder than his anatomy class, but he will help you during office hours. Lectures are organized, but some labs are a waste of time. Wish he taught Microbiology.

iam responding to the previous comment, if you plan to tke prof brothers, his exams are solely on his notes. He has 50 multiple choice which can sometimes be a little tricky, but read the question carefully to get the correct answer. he has 5-6 esaay question and you have to choose 3. Study everything in the study guide and you shld be ok.

AWESOME prof... Dont buy the book, everything he exams for is in the study guide. There is alot of info and you need to study to get a "B" or better, but the prof has very interesting lectures. I HIGHLY recommend him for anatomy . Make sure to study his essays because they are worth 10 points each. You will have no regrets in taking the prof.

I did not like his personality.was gotten on 4 saying things he had no right 2 say.He is very disruptive of other professors class's. I also noticed, as a guy, that all the girls he flirted with got higer grades than the ones he didn't flirt with! the girls he completely ignored got d's and f's! can u say unfair! do not have as your lab teacher!!

a very smart and fun professor..always has corny jokes and quirky facts to keep your interest in the subject..but the exams are hard! there are essay questions so you really have to know the material and be able to explain it all, not just memorize.alot of time and dedication..not lenient with mistakes he wants you to earn your grade.

He was always very clear in what he expected from the class on tests, etc. He is NOT EASY, so the class takes some work. He didn't always stay 100% on topic, but otherwise the class would be boring. PRINT OFF THE MODELS FROM ONLINE.. its the only way to ace the lab tests without spending your life in lab. (I made my own tests with them)

Lectures were interesting. This class is all memorization so you will do well if you memorize his pre-written lecture notes. Class is helpful, but not necessary of you have the handouts. His website and practice tests are helpful.

Brothers expects a lot from his tests.Study online models that he uses for exams in lab and LRC time with skeleton/plastic models, and in lec use study guide and book for terms/structures. He is a wonderful teacher. Slides are made for each class, and can be printed so notes aren't constantly taken. There's only 3 tests, but they count a good amount for your grade. Easygoing about reports, knowledgable about biology, and friendly. I would definetly recommend him.

I took his Bio 230 and 235. His exams were very hard but anatomy is not easy subject. Study his note, you will okay.

He is a great teacher. He makes it easy for you. All the lecture notes are online, and he explains more in detail in class. Alot of info to study, but overall interesting class. He has a funny sense of humor and pretty laid back.

this was a really tough class, be prepared to spend the next 4 months of your life dedicated to anatomy. lectures are boring and you dont retain anything until you actually go home and study yourself, lab is out of this world, total memorization that will make your brain explode. his flirty comments were inappropriate for a professor.

Not an easy class at all!!!. Proff. Brothers was very fair. The memorization is way to much for anybody to handle. I had to study hard for this class. He doesn't grade very hard which is a huge help and he also answers all your questions Meticulously. I would deffinatly take him again but I wouldn't suggest taking any other sciences with his class

Brothers really makes the class extremely interesting. He definately likes what he is teaching and cracks cheesy jokes a lot, but they definately help you remember different aspects of physiology. His Exams can be fairly difficult, but if you read through his study questions and are able to answer them, you should have no problem.

If you have your B.S. and are applying for Pharmacy, nursing, P.T., M.D., whatever, this class should be a breeze. Labs are easy. Learn conceptually, not memorizing. I didn't have to take the final.

I took this class just this Summer 2009.It was a pretty intense class for a full time employee like me.I would say if you listen,take good notes,do all your labs & study them,then you should do good.We had 4 tests & the only time I could really study was 4 hours before the test (I had to take time off from work).If u study > I had, u shud get an A.

He knows his material and teaches competently. There is a LOT to digest so you have to study-study-study or you will not do well. Make sure you take thorough notes, his exams are based on them. He has a humor and can definitely make you laugh with his silly jokes/comments. I like this prof. a lot.

Brothers is my fave professor so far. That being said, this was a very difficult class. By difficult I mean extremely time consuming. If you want to get an A you must STUDY. His lecture notes only, no nd for the book. Brothers has been @ mesa for 30 yrs and is still very passionate about teaching. He wants you to succeed, if you need help just ask!

I took his anatomy and physiology classes at the same time. He is the best college professor I have had. His knowledge and passion for the subjects kept me motivated. I highly recommend this professor. Fair warning though, these classes will be your life for the semester.

He is a good professor, the information is hard but he has well structured curriculum. If you study like your supposed to then you will get an A, he is clear on what you should know. Only used the textbook a couple times, use the packet, and BUY his atlas its the reason I got an A

Bill is a great teacher and explains his material rather well. he tests straight from lectures, and while he provides slides on every lecture i find note taking to be a guaranteed way to pass this class. Material isn't too hard, and not time consuming (this section at least). If you put in about 4 hours a week your golden. I recommend this class.

Brothers was a great professor! He's comical during his lecture and tries to keep you entertained. A little extra note taking during class will be really beneficial when it comes to test time. It's definitely possible to get an A if you put the time into studying.

Study from the lec pack and you will be fine. I enjoyed this class as well as Prof. Plague for the lab portion. As far as the lecture book, save $and buy the older ed. or use library reserve.

fun class, really easy--notes for all his classes are posted online--if you pay attention or even just read/study the notes youll get an a---really straight-forward about what he expects and makes his tests pretty easy and straight out of his lectures--make sure you print his notes off his website and take them to class, it helps alot

Good professor. You don't need to purchase any book. You need to come in to class because he lectures on the materials that you will need to pass. You have to make sure you pay attention to all small details. Lecture are fun.

I love the style of lectures. You buy the lecture packet and go through it in class so you don't have to write as much. He's very clear and a funny guy. A couple labs using the computer are boring but most are fun. It's very clear what's expected on the test. Class isn't mandatory (lab is) but he explains everything so well it's essential.

Great teacher! He was my physiology instructor last semester and now taking his anatomy class. Everything you need to know for his class is in a lecture packet that's available in the bookstore. Very helpful and a very nice guy. If you study everything in the packet, you can get A's pretty easily!

Physiology is an interesting class but near the end he makes it unenjoyable. However he is one of the more "tolerable" professors. He expects alot from his students and makes you memorize a ton of material for every exam esp the last two. there are five exams total and around 7-8 quizzes. No textbook just lecture packet, goes though notes very fast

I toke Mr. Brothers for both Anatony and Physiology. He prepares you for what's on the test. He makes the lectures fun, and cracks jokes occasionally. I really enjoyed his classes.

This course was tough but I expected it to be. Lots of material to be learned. He provides you with a packet so you don't have to buy the textbook. His lectures are really interesting and he goes right to the end of class. Tests are tough but if you study your notes, you'll do fine. Solid class, I would recommend 100%!

5 lecture,6 lab exams & 1 optional final. Exams are based off the lecture notes in the manual and are very detailed. 40MC,10 matching and 2 essay questions. You will have to STUDY to get an A in this class, but he is very clear with his lectures and will help you out if asked. Do not miss lectures because he'll sometime give you extra info.

Great person and awesome teacher when you ask for help. The class material though is the hardest ever. His lectures are long and monotone. Six lab exams and five lecture exams. Study hard if you want to pass. I used a different anatomy textbook and that worked fine.

Professor Brothers is a very good professor. I was so scared to take anatomy. He has a lecture packet that has everything that you need to know for exams, both lab and lecture. If you memorize everything in it, you are guaranteed to pass. There are 11 exams total and an optional final. Take him! He is one of the best anatomy professors out there.

Heres the deal: He's nice and offers a little extra credit on lab exams. Lenient on spelling, and is easily accessible during office hours. Lecture exams are based on his lecture notes. Study that and ask for his power points, and you really don't have to come to class (only for exams). You will do fine as long as long as you are dedicated!

Brothers is very clear with his grading criteria. His quizzes are 12 questions and graded only on 10, so you get a chance at some extra points. No homework, just a lot of studying. Exams are out of 80 points and each one covers two topics. Only annoying things are his tangents in lecture.

The multiple choice answer are tricky and very similar but since i like memorizing, I do like the essay portion(most student does not like it). Overall he is a great professor but I wish i could have taken another professor because getting B for physio is going to lower chances of getting in to nursing program.

Was taking both 230 and 235 with him but unfortunately had to drop 1. it was just too much for me and don't want B so. he is a great professor.. I am glad i took him, especially for Ana. Ana consisted of (5 lecture and 6 lab exam) don't have to take final if you already have A. He gave us 4point crossword EC which was really helpful!!!!

Professor Brothers is an amazing professor. His class, and anatomy in general is HARD, but if you study you should have no problem getting an A. Labs are mostly self taught with the professor available for questions. Not overly nit-picky about grading/spelling which is very refreshing. He is a generally a nice and caring guy. TAKE HIM!

He is a very good physio and anatomy professor, he will give you a packet and everything is based on the packet. A lot of things to remember, but if you remember the things from the packet, you are most likely will get A! take him!

I enjoyed his class. Physiology is hard because of its nature. But if you study with his material, you are going to be great. He grades very fast and has a lot of extra credits.
