One of my all time fav. teachers

Easy class,funny teacher,he's helpful,you get out of class early a lot.Great teacher for this class.

To say that his class is a waste of time is completely unfair. You will learn plenty in his class, but it is still easy. It is good if you like doing case studies- you will learn how to interpret law- whether you are a business major or law major- he is good to fulfill your major requirement.

I was not looking forward to this subject, but this man has truly made me love it! He is funny, clear, passionate, VERY intelligent, well presented, and caring for his class. Going to this class is simply a great time! i wish it were 2 hours long instead of just 50 mins. Highly recommended!! :)

This class was super easy, present case briefs, test questions are nearly common sense. Pretty much a blow off.

my all-time fave class! mr. carmody is really cool, helpful and makes the class as easy as possible. even if u don't normally participate in class, you'll find yourself involve in a lot of interesting discussions. some ppl thinks it's a waste of time bt dats bcoz they dnt even try to get involved..

Best teacher I have ever had.He is always sporting his **** suits.All you have to do is case briefs and for the test he lets you write one page of notes.

Great teacher! Lets you use a page of notes for wach test, test are very easy! Take this class to have a great time and learn alot too!!

he is a great teacher.very funny guy and made this class alot of fun.he is goes over some of his funny law stories.he tells you what to study and goes over some sample questions.he is really funny and i would take more of his classes.this is a really fun class!

He is full of experience and a good teacher, He doesn't just throw the book at you and expect you to learn.class discusion is what most of the class was.

great teacher! Really laid back! I missed my exam by accident and he let me made it up without any questions. He even showed us half of the questions from the exam the day before.

awesome teacher! keeps the whole awake and laughing. he makes the class very interesting and his tests are easy. his stories are funny/good. homework and case briefs are very easy.

He was an awesome teacher. So easy and had some great stories. The last test was a group test and no one received less than a 94%

I got a C- in his class because I didn't do any of the homework. I nearly aced all the tests though. Thats Carmody's class, some easy homework (do it its nearly a third of your grade!) and a few not too hard tests. come to class and be prepared and you will have no problem getting an A.

Carmody is an easy going instructor with a ton of practical life experience. His method of teaching is awesome because he is not a "By The Book" type of teacher. He tells great stories and makes people laugh. The guy has style too. Take this class!

BEST TEACHER EVER!! TAKE HIM. YOU WILL LOVE CLASS AND LEARN A LOT. Very smart and tons of real life stories. You get to use note sheets for test and we got to use books for quizzes. Very easy. If you dont get an A or B you just didnt show up. TAKE HIM YOU WONT REGRET IT!!

Bill is fantastic, he was my fav for this sem. very knlgable, the work for the class is very managable. make sure you tell the people in the class to do thier cases. if he start talking about one and find out the students did not do the work on it, he will get mad and all Class will suffer. also don't piss him off. my experince was 10+

Hes a great teacher, nice guy, very funny. Tests are all multiple choice, grade consists on tests, participation (DO YOUR CASE BRIEFS!), and attendance (Only can miss 5 days) And theres no final exam. Tests are pretty straight foward, more based on concepts than definitions. He didnt let our class use notes for the test, except for our 1st exam

Bill is the a great teacher fun entertaining class good discussions gpa booster!! take home tests!!! easy easy easy easy easy learn interesting things too! didnt study once and got an A in the class. You want to take this class even if you have no reason to take any of his classes take it as an elective to get an easy A. you wont regret it!!!!!!!

Easy A. If you're a serious student or have an interest in law, you might hate him. He assigns case briefs on landmark cases and NEVER knows the final outcome. Lectures for about 15 min and gets tired of it. He is always late. He plays "ask a Lawyer" and NEVER knows the answers. Nice guy though.

Outstanding instructor! He would always let me make up any and all tests I was gone for and his assignments were really fun. You would recieve a landmark case and pretty much just say what happened and what you think should have happened in the end. As long as you do your assignments, your money. Ask about his ex-wife and horses, its a good time.

Took him over the summer. His class was really fun. He's a great prof that likes to get to know his students. He really made me love the subject. I enjoyed going to his class every week.

This guy made Business Law very interesting and easy to understand. Bill gave you easy points to boost your grade and was very understanding. Highly recommend this guy!!

He was my all time favorite professor at COD. His lectures and discussions were hilarious and interesting. DONT TAKE HIS CLASSES ONLINE, your missing out. And not only are you learning about business law, he also provides valuable life lessons! I learned a lot with Carmody.

Good teacher. Do the cases, go to class and you should pass with no problem. He tries to make class interesting and gets you involved in discussions. The tests are not difficult and most are online. If you fail, your fault. Take his class!

My favorite professor! He's very helpful and easy to follow. He makes class very interesting especially when he mentions his personal life. Just make sure to attend and do all your work, only 4 exams the whole semester. Take this class

Great teacher! HIGHLY suggest you take him. Only 4 exams which are all online. 5 online case briefs, and 3-4 in class case briefs. All are easy and if you need help he will gladly explain it so you can understand it. His is super funny and knowledgeable and will admit it if he isn't sure about something. Must attend class, but definitely worth it.

I took this online, so I did not have any personal contact with him except email. He was helpful and came across very nice. Fair grader. Syllabus crystal clear. Very convenient and went at my own pace. Plenty of time to complete Units and any assignments. I would take another class with him.

He is by far one of my favorite professors I have had at COD. He likes to make the lessons fun and talks about his personal experiences. He actually made learning fun. I actually looked forward to going to his class every Tuesday and Thursday morning. Great Professor!!!

Very easy grader, I don't know how anyone can not pass this class. By far the most easiest class I have ever taken. Very easy to talk to and ask about your grade. There are a lot of extra credit stuff to boast your grade more but it isn't needed since you can easily get an A. Just by taking the tests and doing your assignments. Just take this class

I really am so glad I took this professor! I would take again for another class in a heartbeat. I took online and it was not difficult at all. He works with his students. Answers emails. Work is easy and reasonable timeline. An easy A for sure! Take him, you won't regret it!

4 Test. 3 Hw assignments. So much extra credit. Got a 99 percent in the class. ALL test are online. Take them with a lot of class mates and you will do just fine. Easy class and tells funny stories. You learn a lot about law and I looked forward to each class with him. Easy A. YOU MUST TAKE HIM!! Thank you for everything Mr. Carmody

Very clear cut and organized course. Minimal assignments, only out of 700 points. Offered 20 points of E.C during summer semester which allowed me to get an A. The material is important and somewhat difficult to master but it is an extremely easy B and a very attainable A. Just gotta have the motivation to get a good grade

Cannot say enough. TAKE CARMODY IF YOU GET THE CHANCE. One of the funniest teachers that ive had at CoD and he really cares about his students and you can see that. He gives out a ton of extra credit, i was at a 230/200 for a good portion of the semester. All tests are online and sometimes you get multiple attempts. TAKE CARMODY.

He has that lawyer mentality- like: "sir is not your turn to speak". But hes a pretty cool old dude. And I say that in a very nice way. Jokes around with students & shares experiences. Easy class! Little homework (read & break down law suit cases) Class is straight forward and interesting. Test are online take home & directly from study guide.

Professor Carmody is a great professor. He cares about his students and his lectures were good. Gives a ton of extra credit.

Though classes may or may not become a bit tedious after a while Carmody is such a great guy to be around and class discussions are always so interesting it totally makes the fluff acceptable. He knows his stuff and while he may not present in the best of ways it is able to stay with you.

I finished his 12 week online course in four days and got a 96%... So yeah, it's easy.

I took him for internet class and he was the best! If you like to work at your own pace- this is your guy. We had 4 due dates- that's it. Do a little every wk or everything a couple days before the due date. He's easy to reach thru email and gives feedback on assignments. Super helpful and nice guy.

In his online class, Professor Carmody was incredibly organized and let you work at your own pace with a few unit deadlines. Grading criteria was very clear and he grades very fairly. Professor Carmody is an excellent instructor! I took him for an accelerated online course in Business Law and was nervous about it because of the short time frame. While his class is challenging, if you keep up with the course material it's an easy A. He also gives feedback for your papers, which I find it lacking with some online professors.

Really enjoyed this class. Just read the Chapters as assigned, Clear grading, Xcredit abound if you want an A. Assigns cases, that you answer in Blackboard, Clear cut HW, Quizzes, He really wants you to do well and think and learn at the same time. He is a lawyer, but still a real nice nice. Prof Carmody wants you to learn, be interested, and Pass! It is a great class, and I think he provides great feedback. Quizzes per chapter and Unit tests. Simple Read, complete cases, and pass the course. Xtra credit given Q What do you call a lawyer gone bad. A Senator. For you sir...I guarantee you will really like this professor

I have taken a bunch of online classes but this professor would definitely have to be my favorite. I took it at 8 weeks and the grading criteria was more then clear as long as you answer the question thats being asked and support your answer. I will definitely take this professor again.

He's an amazing professor. He made several videos for the class. He is just about the nicest guy you could ask for and obviously very knowledgeable in his area of expertise. I can't imagine anyone wouldn't like him as a prof. He really tries to use new technology to engage and encourage students. He is a quick grader with valuable feedback.

Business law is not the most exciting class, but I absolutely LOVED this class because of this professor! He is super nice and caring! I'm taking most of my classes online and he is the first one to make almost weekly videos for student to explain next unit/project. I really enjoyed his class!HIGHLY RECOMMEND

One of the better teachers I have had the pleasure of taking. He provides detailed feedback and you can tell he loves his job as well as the lessons. The work is extremely manageable and allows you to learn while using your own opinions and views. I would definitely take this professor again!

Despite not knowing much about the topics in this course, this class was very manageable and informative. There were four main units with quizzes and homework cases for each.

By far one of THE best professors I've had so far. He really cares about his students doing well. It's not an easy A, by any means. However, work hard and you'll do well. The best teacher I ever have. a lot to do in this class but there is enough time to finish and all work is easy and the teacher is very helpful.

If you're looking for an easy A, take professor Carmody. He cares about his students and is always fast with responding to emails. All his quizzes and tests are straight forward and easy. 3 homework cases which are also easy and 1 discussion board which I highly suggest you do it because it's 100 points but it's very easy as well. Take him!!

What a great guy Prof Carmody is. Took his 8-week 2205 class and he is extremely organized during his online class. There was no virtual meetings but he posted videos every once an a while to update the class, and you can tell he really cares. He was clear with expectations. Wish I could meet him and listen to a lecture! Ugh, COVID. 10/10 guy.

He outlines the course for you in 4 units throughout the 16 week semester. it was a fairly easy schedule to follow and the assignments were not hard at all. He also offers extra credit several times in the class.

I took professor Carmody for an shorter online business course and he was great!! He is very clear on grading and there is a bit of work but nothing too overwhelming. Everything was super easy and I would definitely take him again!!

I took this class as part as my biz law requirement for my accounting degree. The class was very easy as a whole. As long as you put in the work and do what he tells you to do, you will succeed and get an A. He's an extremely easy grader too. Highly recommend!

If I could take Professor Carmody again, I would! The due dates are given clearly, with plenty of time for each assignment. None of the homework or quizzes are difficult, but they help you learn the subject. A very nice guy, and made the class so easy to understand and enjoy. Highly recommend!
