very clear communication of ideas. Makes the class interesting. Has some take-home exams which helps to get a good grade. THey are somewhat hard. It you study hard, you will at least get a B.

Class was very interesting because he kept my attention the entire time. He has the funniest laugh and really knows how to lighten the mood if class gets a little monotonous. I'd recommend this teacher to anyone who is interested in Anatomy.

Good teacher, knows his stuff, tends to ramble and tell funny stories, hysterical laugh. DO TAKE THIS CLASS. its very useful. If you took anatomy in high school and did well, this class is a breeeeeeeze. first two tests require some reading, but if you plan it out, youre fine.

Really cool/smart teacher. Just read the text and go to class and you will do fine.One of the test is a take home! TAKE THIS TEACHER! He has a really funny laugh too!

Excelent professor! Knowledgable, fair, wise; interesting and very clear classes. Great sense of humor and his laugh is just contagious. There is a lot to study but the exams are straightforward. In this class you don't study you fail. As one of his sayings goes, "nobody wants to have a surgery done by a doctor who failed his basics anatomy class!"

i took A&P1 w/ him, and i wont take AP2 w/ anyone else!! i only attended 3 lectures at most the whole semester!! yes, i passed w/ A :) his lectures are very helpful though, tells u exactly wat to study for the exams. awesome teacher!

THIS TEACHER IS GREAT. HIS CLASS IS VERY HELPFUL BECAUSE HE TELL YOU WHAT PAGE AND WHICH THINGS TO KNOW EXACTLY. ONLY CON: HE DOES NOT GIVE NOTES ONLINE, AND HIS NOTES ARE ON THE BOARD. But I GOT AN "A" BOTH TIMES AND BARELY HAD TO ATTEND CLASS HE ALSO GIVES TAKE HOME EXAMS WHICH HELP YOU OUT ALOT BECAUSE IT A EASY 95%+

He's a funny, cool old man. He makes the subject and interesting. He does skip around sometimes but if you bring the book to class its not hard to follow along AT ALL! I would reccomned to anyone!

He is good, pretty easy. If you record him or take good notes you don't need to read the book. He gave 2 take home test along with the oppertunity for extra credit by taking a self defense class (10pt) and excerse class(5pt). So getting an A is possiable. A lot of the answers on his tests are all of the above(don't be suprise if you keep bubbling C

Curless rocks! His kindness and helpfulness are unmatched! If you're nice to him, he will help you out.He gives take home tests, easy extra credit, and is always willing to help. He may even join you at the bar for a drink or a rock concert (trust me, been there). Take his course, study and make a new friend.

Greatest professor! I highly recommend taking his class. He's funny and has a great laugh. Very willing to help anyone at anytime! He encourages students in their careers and really cares! 2 take home tests both are easy A's. He tells you exactly what is on the other tests too. Wonderful guy, great class, funny lectures! Great professor. Classes are easy. He gives you a lot of work load. All our exams were take home but the research and time we all put in it was about 6hrs +. Although the notes won't help with exam depending on how good is your research will determine how much you've learned.

I had Mr. Curless for two semesters. Now, I'm not the best student, I don't study much, and I still got a B+ in his class. He's hilarious, a genuine sweetheart, and will help you with any questions. You do have to work for your grade though, but I do believe (from what i collected) he's the best for AnP.

Curless is the best professor ever! Please ignore those students who said he was horrible..because he is awesome. As long as you actually read the book and show up for class, there is no reason you can not receive and A. I highly doubt that someone could receive less than a B if they try. He is funny and has a true passion for learning and teaching

Comparative Vertebrate Morph is a great class especially w/Dr Curless. It is a hard course and does require studying, but he is a wonderful profesor! Remember to take notes in his class and go to him if you need help. Other than that there are two take home exams, a lot of extra credit offered. He truely wants students to learn

Great guy. he loves fish and thats all he talks about but thats what is on his tests. he gives you tons of opportunities to do well and will help students if they need it.

I loved his class, very funny professor. You do learn something if you pay attention. Lets you out early sometimes. Tests are easy if you READ the book!!! Gives one take home, and 15pts extra credit work. I am in his A&P II class right now! Same format as A&P I. Take his class!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!!! nice guy, but class is ridiculous. I have NEVER gotten a D in my life until this class!! Half the class failed his tests which he attributed to us thinking it was BS...none of the material on tests is in the text book... do yourself a favor and just dont take this class.

I loved Dr. Curless. People who say that the class is impossible probably did not pay attention to lectures, never opened the book and did not try on te take home test he gave. If you pay close attention he tells you exactly what he wants you to study for his tests. It is not an "easy" A, but if you take notes and study it is definitely possible.

Good professor. I don't know what people are complaining about, his tests are straight from the lecture! He does go off topic a little and ramble, but he is so funny and he keeps it as interesting as possible. Going to lecture makes a difference, if you take notes everyday you will do great on the exam!

I have Prof. Curless rite now for AP1 and im taking him for AP2 next semester. Hes awesome... he tells you exactly whats on the tests, lectures are easy. You have to attend tho and be prepared to read the book. If you do that u can get an A no prob!

He is a nice and friendly guy. Although his lectures are interesting, they often do not reflect what's on the tests. I highly recommend studying the book.

Hes pretty cool. makes funny jokes and tries to make the info interesting. yes, it is helpful to go to class and take notes but only uses the book to help us understand concepts. His final is a take home and truly wants his students to do good and get involved in the local enviornmental community. Take him if your willing to do atleast some work!

Let me first say, those who didn't like this guy probably didn't get a good grade. He is genuinely interested in you learning the subject and retaining the info for the future! If you go to class AND pay attention, you will do well. I opened my book twice, literally and I got an A. Very knowledgeable. Could be a little quicker on giving grades tho

Never used the textbook. just show up every class and take notes on everything he says (besides the stories lol) his tests are identical to notes. its three tests and one project. the class is very easy and fun!

this dude is straight, he tries to help his students pass. his lectures could make you fall asleep. but his tests are pretty okay and his project is worth a test grade and offers 20 extra credit point. if you pay attention or read the book you'll def pass

Great Prof. Pretty funny when he laughs at his jokes. Tests are str8 forward if you've studied and Figures in the book are always on the tests. The Book use in his class is very high, and it is expensive,

He is a bit spacey sometimes, but he is a good professor. He does not give homework except for one project that is 20% of your grade. Everything else are tests. The final, for my semester, was a take home.

Good professor. Tries to make the class fun and entertaining by telling stupid jokes (pretty funny). DO NOT BUY TEXTBOOK, I spent like $90 on a new book and never used it a got an A- in the class. Tests are not bad if you study. Final Exam is take home.

Hes so easy. i never went to class. Do the animal project and youll do great. you can cheat on every exam the final is take home...perfect college class!

He is an easy professor. My advice is to take good notes, because most of the exam questions are based on what he said and wrote in class. His final exam is take home and a bit more harder than other exams, but if you take good notes, you'll do fine. Do the project ASAP, because it does take a month to do it.

My advice is to take great notes in this class. I would even suggest you buddying up with a fellow good note-taker and compare notes. It will pay off in the end. The book is much needed, but the test is based upon the notes is class. Curless is real funny! I love his laugh, he's a bit old school, but you will enjoy his class.

For Life Science class, not a bad prof at all. Only time I ever used the textbook was to take my own notes to study for the exam. All he does is lecture, one extremely easy project, exams are based on text material, but mainly his lectures. Exams are fairly easy since I remembered a lot of the science stuff I learned in high school.

Take Life Science with Curless, he is the most entertaining professor on campus. Once you hear his cackle and jokes you will understand. Easy course.

Great and funny man

He's very enthusiastic about the subject which is great bc he makes it interesting. I'm currently taking his class in the summer, so you need to attend every lecture and stay (he lets you out early many times). Write down as much as you can. Including marine biology. It will be on the test! Maybe even record lectures. An A is definitely possible.

He is funny and knows what he is talking about. He is very accessible, answers questions, treats us with respect, and his projects are fun.

Doctor Curless is one of the best educators I've ever known. He not only knows his stuff and teaches it well; but he gives practical real world applications of the material. I had him for A&P I and II, and I wish that he taught other classes I am taking.

Wonderful guy! He genuinely cares about his students and is fascinated by the material he teaches. He arrives late fairly often and is quirky, but WONDERFUL! Study his notes and visit his office for explanations and you will be fine!

Took him over the summer; easy gen-ed science class. Get the book, read, and know how to draw the diagrams (he doesn't tell you this part). Lenient grader with an easy project that is 1/3 of the grade. You could do a LOT worse, so take him if you can.

I am currently taking his Life Science lab. He's GREAT! He uses real world applications to teach the material which makes it very easy to remember. His class helped me do well in Lovelace's Life Science class as well. His laugh is hilarious. Easy A. I definitely recommend him! Such a sweet older man who definitely knows his stuff! Take him!!

Although he takes some getting used to, Dr. Curless was one of the best professors I have ever taken. His tests are easy and he is always there for you when you need it. Mos of the tests also had extra credit. There's no way you can fail this class!

Dr. Curless is 1 of the BEST PROFESSORS I've ever had. I ended up majoring in Microbiology & Chemistry at The University of Florida. He loves & is passionate about all Biology especially Marine Biology. I helped him do a study of Lake Okeechobee on fish larvae & he was ALWAYS A PROFESSIONAL! I HIGHLY RESPECT HIM & credit him for part of my success
