This teacher has a lot of knowledge. But he cannot teach. He is very impatient and degrading. I highly recommend that no one should take this professor.

The man is boring, he doesn't care if you are there or not. He brags about his drop rate, he seems proud of it. He wants class responses, however degrades you when you give him your opinion.

This was THE MOST HORRIBLE science class that I have taken at SCC and I love science. Very boring, very unconcerned, and to top it all off he thinks he is the funniest thing on Earth.

The first thing he told us was "You don't need a teaching degree to be a teacher at this college, you just need a degree in the subject you are teaching." Well, he knew a lot about the subject, and as he said, knew squat about teaching it! Also, his Bill Cosby impressions weren't amusing.

THIS GUY SUCKS. He was demeaning, spiteful, and a liar. As a science major, it was important I understand this class well, but his lectures were of no help. I had to study on my own and ignore his misinformation just to get by. AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS.

If you walk into this class knowing everything there is to know about biology you will some how walk out confused! I have earned an A in every science class except this one, I got a C! The class started w/ 30 people in it. When I took the final exam it was me and 4 other students!

This is supposed to be a Freshman level class, however, it is being taught on a graduate level. Mr. Ford is not clear and jumps around his topics which makes comprehending his lecture's boring and unincitful. I am more confused than ever

Do not take this class with this professor. Big mistake. He does not lecture on half the needed material. When you ask questions, his favortie response is either I don't know or we already went over that. Not helpful doesn't even come close to describing him.

This was the worst class I have ever taken. This proff is a total jerk. He DEMANDS extreams in the amount of work for the student and shows no indication of being the least bit helpful. He is unfair and just needs to stop teaching. Stay clear of this teacher. He really sucks.

He was the worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. I think he has something wrong with him. He made the weirdest,dumbest facial expressions. He never explained anything or even taught. He would just read stuff and not even explain.He is very comfortable with his tenure and I think he should be fired. He doesnt know hw to teach and doesnt listen to his students and doesnt explain anything and his tests are so hard and too many questions bc he doesnt go over the material. I think he is a bad teacher.

Oh my goodness...where to begin...STAY AWAY!!!Awful class. Should have been exciting and interesting. Makes simple concepts confusing and wastes inordinate amounts of lecture time. I mean he wastes LOTS and LOTS of time. When class falls behind because of this, he blames students. Disrespectful to students nearly every single class period.

Horrible describes him the best. He is the worst professor at SCC. It is difficult to follow his lectures, and the assignments he gives require more work than they should. I had strait A's until I took this class. He really does makes it hard to learn and enjoy what you are learning. Definetly take another teacher if possible. Tests are difficult.

ok...where to start...The tests are um aceable, but if you are already stuck in the class I recomend using the disk from the book. There are tons of extra credit, but some how I never saw the results. The stupid bill cosby empressions will drive you insane. Sit in the back or you will be targeted!! do no take this class!!!!

His is such a jerk. No matter what you do, it's not good enough for him. He isn't helpful. If you ask a question, he either doesn't respond or he gives you the run around. Assignments are often unclear, and the the way he grades is unfair. If you don't do it exactly how he wants it, you will probably fail. DON'T EVER TAKE HIM!!!

This professor is very unclear and annoying. Follows the syllabus, but does not use the book in class he teaches from a sheet he passes out and expects you to know it. Just do the work from the syllabus and don't worry about the exams ans you will get a good grade and he doesn't pay much attention to attendance.

This is the MOST horrible being in the WHOLE of SCC. He is the WORST. He is rude, he belittles you. His exams are hard as hell and he does not give extra credit. I am definitely reporting him before this semester is over. I just wasted ALOT of money taking his class. He is NASTY!

I'll find out soon if I failed- I took online Biology/Environment cause I didn't have time 4 the normal classes- big mistake - requires more time than I ever imagined. if I spent 3 hours or 15 minutes, I got the same results. There were 40 assignments, including a group assignment- I gave up on the group assignment. All these ratings are accurate.

Online class, Hardly any biology- mostly environment. u research a topic every week, & put 2 discussion postings. 2 get the full credit 4 them, it needs to be lengthy. In a normal class, I just go to class, & only say something if I feel like it. I don't like forced participation- I'm not an education major. Oh, & I skipped the gov't mtg :-(

Do NOT even think about taking any class having him as a professor. Constantly belittling students to make himself feel better for being a failure.

I learned almost nothing about the environment or biology. It was a waste of time, not to mention he was very condescending on many levels. He made was constantly making degrading remarks about Christians and the Christian faith. Also he will take of points for getting up to use the bathroom or missing even just one class!

This professor is the worst teacher that I ever had! He treats a beginner biology course like nuclear science. On top of that he doesn't respond to e-mails. I would not recommend anyone to take this class. I struggled just to get an A in the class. It should have been my easiest summer class but ended up being the hardest.

This is the worst experience I have ever had at SCC. This "professor" was very unprofessional, if you asked him a question he automatically took offense. He even made a girl cry in our class because he told her she didnt know anything. We only had 7 people left in the class at the end of ther term and I am going to have to retake this class. Beware! The highlight in Mr. Fords class was laughing at his inabiliy to teach. A waste of time and money! He's a smart man but cannot teach if his life depended on it. HE IS A GPA KILLER! There were about six people left in class before I dropped it! NEVER AGAIN!

Biology and the environment on line was thee worst class ever. Ford does not post all assignments properly and does not help you. I would rather shoot myself in the head rather than take him again.

A total of 10 people had dropped out of the class, because of him. He doesn't explain anything, and when you do ask him a question, he says to "Google it". All the homework and quizzes are due before we go over the lecture so you don't understand anything. There isn't enough room on here to explain why I HATE HIM! ITS ACADEMIC SUICIDE TO HAVE HIM!

The grading criteria is very difficult to understand.

Prof. Ford wastes a lot of time telling jokes and "stories". He often doesn't answer the questions posed to him clearly. I am an older student with some upper biology credits and I am shocked at how difficult this introductory class is. I wish i knew about this site before registering for his class.

Do not take him. I had important family matters to attend to and sent a link to withdraw from the course. He does not care at all. Lectures about everything but the class and especially complains about students he had in the past. Don't set yourself up for failure taking his class. Pick a different professor.

This professor is the absolute worst, avoid taking his class at all costs! His grading rubrics are very unclear, even if you ask him to explain you will still be confused!!! He is an extremely tough grader, and I truly believe he feels that your life should revolve around his class. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!

This class was horrible. Lazy professor that can't even be bothered to format assignments correctly. Lots of useless work that add no value to what you're supposed to be learning.

I had to withdrawal from this class... and I wasnt the only one. I have a lot of background knowledge on biology, yet this class was incredibly difficult for me. The grading policy is weird, he doesnt present the material effectively, and goes off on tangents very frequently. Do yourself a favor and dont take his class.

There are about 7 discussions (the two best are graded), 1 worksheet,and weekly textbook reading and quizzes, per week. If youre late to write in the discussions, there is high chance you wont get credit. If you email to ask a question, he is condesending and drags on about procrastination. If your life centers around this class, then youll be fine

Painfully lectures while he spends most of his time talking about what good and bad students look like, and his past students. Always this same thing. Meanwhile his tests are difficult because he uses trick questions. Doesnt answer clearly the questions in addition to make you uncomfortable for asking. SUPER unclear grading criteria.

Very difficult professor, very by the book. He refuses to tell you your grade in the class and instead will tell you how to calculate your grade by adding up your scores and dividing. Most student did not enjoy his teaching skills and about 80% dropped out by the end of the class. Many hours of studying required, even with prior biology background.

I had to drop out of this class because honestly this professor does not explain information very well. He makes it seem like your life should revolve around this course. Forget about your other classes because this will take up your life. Prepare to be confused and stressed out.

2 of my friends and I all took Prof. Ford and we all agree he was one of the worst professors and just stopped showing up because it was passed the deadline to withdraw. His lectures included stories about himself and never about the actual topic. He only made jokes and never answered your questions directly. Don't take this class with this prof.

This class layout online is just messy. It's confusing for students to navigate and when you ask him for advice, he is super annoyed by it, as if he made it easy or something. The class will be a piece of cake if you have nothing else to do with yourself, but if you have a job I would stay away.

Do not pick this professor unless you want to fail. Although he might seem okay at first with his jokes. He is a tough grader and the tests are ridiculous. He does not care what situation you are in. His classes are very boring lectures. His teaching just seems like hes talking and talking while youre learning nothing. Must study everything!!

Overall the layout of his class is so messy and it can be very easy to fall behind. Also, you have to do discussion posts weekly and if you aren't the first to respond and your posts resemble someone else's even the slightest bit he will give you a zero for cheating. He is an awful professor. I am saving you, DO NOT take him. The other professors are much better at teaching. He criticized our whole class continuously and 3/4 of the class dropped out before the end of the course. I cannot express to you how terrible he is at teaching. Easily the worst teacher I've ever had. Layout is terrible and confusing for an online class, it looked like he copy and pasted information from different places so visually everything was SO confusing. Grading system is AWFUL and I feel like he made everything 100 times more complicated than it should've been, especially with the discussion posts.

I have a disability and he barley succeeded with it he gave me extra time for assignments and quizzes but he did not comply with the main thing of explaining directions well. I had issues understand and when I asked questions he reverted me back to the page I was asking about. I was sad since I was excited to learn Biology an environment.

Quite literally the WORST professor I have ever encountered. I haven't even gotten through the term and am withdrawing from his course because he is so awful. He is unprofessional, unkind, his lectures are more like tangents that never get to any of the important points to discuss. Prepare to do all of your learning outside of class.

If you are a full-time student or have a job, do not take this class. If you want to have a life outside of school in general do not take this class. Professor Ford gives a lot of homework each week that requires a lot of reading and his grading is very strict. He acts as if his class is the only class we have.

I wish I used this website before taking his class. He gives out way too much work. I have a disability which doesn't help in the slightest, I need to take extra time, but with this class I have had to work every single day including weekends just to finish. I am so burnt out just from this one class. If you have a social life or work DO NOT TAKE.
