Great person. Very hard class, but I believe there was too much material for a non-major course. Am not a science student, but Bill made it fun, he handed out candies! Give him a chance, you might be surprised at how he'll change your opinion. Ask questions, he will always help

Watch out for his exams where he gives you the questions in advance and they are 15 mark questions. The final I just wrote the exam was the whole thing... even though 10 of the 16 questions he gave us he called optional. Otherwise a very easy teacher.

Great teacher, i i really liked this guy. the course is hard though if your not interested in bio. overall his tests are pretty sketchy but his teaching is second only to one other bio teacher i have ever had, and he was an award winning teacher. if you can have him as your prof do all that is nessary to get him as your prof

It could have been an awful class. Way too much material to cover in too little time, but he did the best he could, by taking out as much material as was possible, while still covering all the topics. And the candies helped too. I thoroughly enjoyed his class. (the candies helped too) :)

best teacher i have ever had at camosun. totally willing to help out the students and he is very approachable. tries as best as he can to try and accomadate everyone. very smart teacher, knows his stuff, and if he makes a mistake, he will admit it, unlike some profs who think that they are always right. great teacher!!! highly recommended!!

WoW.. all i can say is WoW. He's amazing! Really cares about his students doing well. He really knows his stuff, and loves talking about it. He's an all around fun guy to have as a teacher and I recommend him for anyone who's taking Biology!

Tests were more than fair, he goes out of his way to accomodate students' needs. Enthusiastic and approachable ... lectures rather wordy. I'd definitely take another class with Bill.

Bill is unreal. He has such a genuine passion for his subject, with vast experience in the field that he incorporates into his teaching. There is no end to his hospitality to interested students. He'll go out of his way to help you EVERY time. Sincerely fantastic prof and inspirational to me.

open, helpful. Such a nice guy, the only thing intimidating about him is his vast knowledge on so many subjects. He holds some views that are may not necessarily be condoned by the college, but he won't go into them unless you push him to, or sufficiently distract him (which is easy). Tests are from the book's testbank; hard, but he gives bonuses.

Bill's courses require alot of work, but he gives bonuses on almost all assignments. Bill is not very helpful in labs, but they are pretty straightforward, read them before lab!! I would love to take another class with Bill!!

excellent teacher, lectures seem a little long but assignments are easy, lots of bonus marks, and test questions are pretty much given to you (lab tests kind of hard, they all are), you just have to make sure you really memorize them. Great teacher, I'd take his class again. :)

What an outstanding teacher. He really goes above and beyond for anyone in his class.

Expect alot of work, for not a high percentage value (assignments and tests require large amounts of effort for only about 10% of a grade). The tests are extremely easy if you study.

An amazing human. Yes, yes...he is an EXCELLENT professor, great class and all that. But what truely sets Bill apart from the rest...is how much he cares! Simply incredible.

If you are after a good grade, this is the teacher you want. Bill doesn't teach though - you do the work, you learn it from the text, he will reward you - this way he doesn't have to teach - he can talk about 'other' stuff during class.

Bill is a great teacher. If you know how to work on your own and put in a reasonable amount of effort, you will be rewarded by him. He's simply a caring individual who is a GREAT prof to have. Really supports you and gives you ample opportunities to do well and receive bonus marks! He was the best prof I've had!

Bill is an amazing biology prof! He is totally passionate about what he does and has put in a lot of his personal time to research the feild. He loves to expand the classes knowledge and trys to answer as many qstns as possible. He gives out bonus marks ALL The time, you just have to be willing to put in the time to do the work. Bill is so passionate about what he teaches, it amazes me. I have never come across a teacher with so much enthusiasm at his age and I am grateful to have been given the chance to learn from him. Bill is a pretty chill, he really cares for his students and wants you to succeed! His exams and midterm relates back to the practice exams he provides.. Study hard for lab exam, like actually study! The assignments are helpful, but as the semester went on the assignments got longer and longer, that I was still awake at 4am doing it...

Bill is a phenomenal teacher. He makes the content fascinating and he tells us stories about his life, and nutritional info which is very interesting! He is basically a nutritionist! Learned so much from him about medications, diet, food, ect. Super helpful and I even got the chance to teach my family the intriguing things bill taught us!

Though I don't agree 100% with all of his views, he sets a good platform for you to research and explore on your own. As for his class, if you do the work, you'll pass, and I guarantee you'll learn.

Bill is an amazing prof. He gives a lot of homework, but they are the same long answer questions for the exams. The weekly pre-lab quizzes are a lot to study for, but he gives you the exact diagrams, multiple choice q's and vocab that he will ask for. He is upbeat in lecture, wants everyone to do well, kind, understanding and a generous marker.

Bill is the best. He is my favourite Professor at the college. He gives lots of homework, but if you do it it will pay off I got an A+ in this class. If you are interested in Biology this is the class to take. Bill is approachable, kind and caring. This man is a very warm caring person, I considered him my mentor in the time I was in his class.
