LOVES TEACHING and if you take him - you will LOVE the class!!! highly recommend

Make it past the first few days... he's like a marshmallow... crispy on the outside, but warm and gooey on the inside.. hehe he's really a great teacher and pretty funny most of the time

I really enjoy this class. Dr. McPherson is a great teacher!!! The tests can be a bit rough and there is a paper and a presentation. He is really fair and knows what he is talking about!

I miss seeing him. He was always exciting and fun to watch. His class rocks and if you can get in, be sure to enjoy it.

Business & Interpersonal Communications. He taught about 100 of us in the ECOB Auditorium. And we all learned. Be up on your note-taking with all the powerpoint he does. Great professor. Friendly, too.

BEST TEACHER EVER!! I would recommend taking his class to anyone that has a major in business. He is extremely enthusiastic about what he does- turns the boring material that we learn in class into something worthwhile... TAKE HIM!!

Great class, great professor. I recommend anyone, business or non-business majors to take this course. It's soooooo easy too.

This guy is one of the few good professors out there. He's got a great sense of humor, and is a lot of fun to have in class. I strongly recommend this professor to anybody.

VERY VERY fun and entertaining. He will bend over backwards for you. Will know your name from day one. Makes it hard for you to miss class because he will notice, but forces you to go and you learn a lot. Will do excellent in the class if you just go.

DOMINANT PROFESSOR. if you have the opportunity to take him DO IT.

The greatest prof. He never forgets who were at his class; I took two of his classes 2 years ago but am receiving his mail. Very good as your advisor no matther if u are in business major or not. Ask him a recommendation letter if u need!!

pretty easy, i liked how he had us all sit in our 1st names to learn them and he did. he makes you do too much, like go to so many things, i just didnt have the time and my grade suffered. i did like him as a prof though, informative and kept my attention

Great teacher. I think he is the easiest teacher i've had yet being a freshman now. If you are interested in business take him. His tests are easy (all take home) and the projects you have to do are real easy i did mine in 1 hour and got 100%, but if your not good wiht attendance, don't take him!

Easy, but a good amount of busy work. The fisrt day he trys to scare you out of the class, but then he calms down. GREAT Pro. Take him.

Dr. McPherson comes off as aggresive and arrogant at first, but how else are you supposed to keep 160 kids under control?! He is an awesome professor. He is ALWAYS there to help you with anything...your major, your intended future, and even class. haha. Great guy if you talk to him personally.

He's the greatest guy! I have him at 9:45 and he cracks me up everyday. He yells alot the first couple days of class, but after that, you'll love him! He seems like he's really harsh, but if you have questions or problems, you know he'll always be there for ya! GREAT TEACHER!

this class is cake. not only did i not take notes but the tests were easy. i really enjoyed the experience though. the papers are very detailed though

Like it has been said, he acts pretty arrogant during the first week, mostly just to scare you. I loved the class, interesting/funny lectures, a very fair grader. 3 of the tests are take home, and the final is relatively easy. WILL know who you are outside of class, can't be said for many profs.

Best business professor at IUP! He knows everyone by name and its a great class. Lectures are interesting and never boring. Just do your work how he wants it according to his packet and youll get an A. Oh yeah, and if he has an end-of-semester party....GO! Free food and booze if your 21!

Best class ever!! There is a lot of work and it is intimidating at the beginning but as time goes on it gets better. He makes class fun and the work you end up doing isnt really that hard.

He seemed awful the first day of class. But he ended up being the best educator I've ever had. He's so funny and keeps you interested in what's going on. I wish I could take all of my business courses with him. Do your work and you'll be fine.

Greatist teacher at IUP, awesome guy who knows everyones name and will do ANYTHING FOR YOU, I have taken him 2 times already, graduating in 3 months and without him I wouldnt have a job. Really cares for his students. If you take him you will never regret it and he will never forget your face 5 years from now!!!

I have to say that his style of teaching made the class very interesting. I was eager to learn. And even though it's been about 10 years....everything he taught is still relevant.

He is absolutely wonderful. He may seem tough at first, but after a few classes he warms up and is so nice.

He is awesome! Pronounce his name right and you'll be fine. Add a few curse words in and you'll get bonus points. He knows what we're dealing with in college, FUNNY AS HELL and is there tohelp you. Don't piss him off and you'll be fine. 2 papers and a few online tests about vocabulary. Easy class, knowledgable professor, funny man=an easy A!!!

He is so awesome. I was very nervous at first but by the 3rd class he was real good with students. Has pretty good stories also. Do your homework, study for tests (now online), and get your papers done and there is no reason why you shouldn't bull atleast a B. Over all great prof!!

By far, the best professor I have had at IUP. Took him as a freshman in a large aud. style class (100+ students) and he knew all of our names by the second week. Walked into his upper level class my junior year and he greeted my by my first name. Really cares about his students, and will do anything in his power to help them succeed.

wow...wat a fun teacher. He will know your name by the 3rd class. He will not come to everyclass either. Attendance is needed but you will end up wanting to go. He will try to scare you in the beginning, but he settles down and its hilarious. Calls on you 1-2 per class so be ready, class was even 100+ students. He will be one of my favorites!!!!

Great professor, if you get a chance, definately take his class.

Can miss 2 classes, after that its a 2% penalty. Not bad though, class is fun, and ends early most days. Group work is a little annoying. Likes things a specific way, like binding and attachments, reasonable for such a large class. Knows your name, to the point that he recognized me when I was at work!

Dr. McPherson is one of my favorite professors at IUP if not my favorite overall. He tries to intimidate to weed out those people who really don't care about the class. He does seem to give a lot of unnecessary work sometimes though. I think he's an easy A. I took him twice. Be ready to work hard but he tells you EXACTLY what he's looking for

Best professor I've ever taken. He uses real world experiences to help students learn the material. He doesn't like slackers so go to class and do what he expects and you'll be fine. Lots of work though. Very funny guy, easy to listen to.

the class is pretty easy but there are a fair number of projects.He lecture alot and is funny when he does it. There is a ton of bonus and there is no excuse to get a B.

Great Professor, at first he tries to intimidate those who don't want to work hard, but after that, you start to look forward to the class. Hes from New York, and he tells alot of jokes about how much worse the town of Indiana is. You have several projects, but he tells you what he wants, and as he puts it "you're a loser if you don't do well"

Awesome professor. Like the person below me, he tries to intimidate you at first & you think you're gonna hate him. He gives example projects on every assignment & he does say you're a loser if you dont get an A on it, & you are. Attendance works in your favor, if you dont miss any classes you can earn 2% on your overall grade. aka 88% goes to a 90

This guy is great. It is true that he will try to scare you off in the first day, but stick with him he is awesome! Really friendly and funny. Take good notes and pay attention (he knows when you aren't and will call on you). Tests were all online and were not that hard if you did the studying.

Weeds out the slackers the first day and you should attend class regularly hilarious he should try for stand up. Also do not sign anyone else in on attendance sheets someone just got busted today

He will try to scare you during the first day (even the first week). Has a sign in sheet for every class, really cool guy has lots of funny stories! Really easy to get him distracted in class! Gives a lot of homework at one time, and sometimes talks really fast, but always answers questions and will explain things if you ask!

This guy is the man.. he will attempt to intimidate you on the first day but dont fall for it he is a sweet teacher. pay attention in class and he will make you learn in a humorous way that you wont forget what he says

my favorite professor this semester.. first week of classes he gets rid of the ones who don't wanna be there.. after that he's good.. good bit amount of work but he tells you exactly how he wants stuff done

Extremely easy class. Gives a lot of work but also gives tons of time to get it all done. He is my favorite professor at IUP! A lot of the class is online so you don't always have to go. He is a very nice guy with a lot to offer his students. Take no one else!

Had for intro and communication. One of Eberly's top professors. Lots of work, but very fair grading. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS, show up on time, and show interest and you will do well. Has high expectations of students, but this is a good thing. As business stutends, he expects professionalism, which will translate well to your career!

Let me just say i have tried to schedule with this professor EVERY semester after i had this class. He is a great prof. very clear on his expectations, grades fairly, work is returned promptly. great Prof.

Fantastic professor - extremely funny and uses interesting examples. Learns everyone's name in a class of over 120 people. I didn't miss any classes so he bumped me up a letter grade. He does give a ton of homework which he only accepts if you're in class, but he's a real nice and compassionate guy.

Dr. McPherson is awesome. He's one of the funniest profs I've ever had, and is an all around great guy. He does assign a lot of work, but no where near overwhelming. Often has classes online. I actually had a lot of FUN in his class. If you get the chance, take Dr. McPherson's class.

really great professor! cares for students and even takes the time to learn everyones name in class. tests are online so they are very easy. homework assignments are just simply filling out powerpoints using your book. a couple group projects during class. class was canceled.. a LOT. definitely take dr mcpherson you won't regret it!!

He's an all around funny guy. Likes to crack jokes constantly throughout class to keep it interesting. Sometimes, it is hard to understand him because he talks so fast, but you get used to it. My favorite professor this semester. Does give a lot of course work though.

McPherson is a really nice, funny guy. He moves really fast so as long as you go to class and keep up it's an easy A or B.
