Bill Roane is the model professor, In my opinion all professors should take his class to learn how is done from this man. Honestly I think I might not do that well on his class but that is only because I didnt have much time to the assignments. Fair is fair though and he gets an A on my book even if I only manage to get a C on his class.

I have taken classes with many professors in BMCC but none quite like Professor Roane he is truly an amazing and amusing professor. He really cares about his students and is willing to go the extra mile to help you out. If you want a serious professor who puts you to sleep in his/her class he is absolutely not the professor for you.

Prof. Roane is cool indeed. He has a great personality! He made the Summer course fun and as relaxing as possibe. A lot of writing (4 journals over the Summer!), but tests are fair and journals are graded on a pass/fail basis. If you study and hand in your journals on time, a definite A.

He’s very compassionate and considerate. He wants you to succeed. However, when he says no cell phones, he means it. You can negotiate deadlines with him, but don't wait until the last minute. He’s very easy, so you should read MORE than he actually assigns. It was a stimulating class and the subject was applicable to all my other classes.

Very nice professor but his classes can feel like sitting in on extended therapy sessions since he tends to go on tangents about his family. He tries to tie it all into the material but at times it feels more like he just needs to share. The paper is a killer and he is very serious about no cell phone use in class.

Professor Roane lays everything he expects from you out in his syllabus. He's not hard if you do all of the homework and extract the important information from his lectures.

He's a very good professor. I highly recommend him, but make sure to complete all the HW and also avoid talking while he's talking, and never use you phone in front of him. He talks a lot about his life but always pay attention to what he is saying because he suddenly starts to talk about something from class relate to his life. Excellent class!!

Great professor. Every class feels more like a discussion with a friend rather than a student to teacher. Hilarious stories that correspond to the class criteria. Would take another one of his courses any day. Do all online activities as well as spend a few studying your notes and your grade should be an A.
